Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

Sparky is adorable <3

And Gavin doesn't need to worry, Mindy had some Pokémon Ethics from professor Bansing. She doesn't throw her Pokéball at everything that moves.
Although, she does like purple...
Saruya followed Missy and Harry and walked with them to the food trolley. She laughed when the bowl fell and walked to Sparky. Gently she removed the bowl with her mouth and put it in the grass. "You have to be careful," she said as she turned to the Joltsodour. "You could have really hurt yourself this way. What if someone left a knife in the bowl? If you can't see what's on the top you shouldn't pull it down."

It was good Mabel knew what the Pokémon wanted to ask, because it was hard to understand through the enthusiasm. It was endearing.
"I will take good care of them," Mabel promised and she bent down, holding out her hands. "Come here," she said to the two small Pokémon. "I will carry you in my arms."

"I've seen a store not so far from here, we will check that place first," Mindy said, beckoning Gavin so he would follow her. Going around the Pokémon Center she tried to remember where all the clothing stores were, she knew she had seen a few in the area. The first one, if she remembered correctly, wasn't overly fashionable, but judging from Gavin's current attire, fashion was not his priority.
At the front of the center she almost bumped into Andy as he left the Pokémon Center.
"Oh, sorry professor Bansing."
"We're not in the academy, nor in any lab where Maple can hear us, Andy will do." He looked from her to Gavin. "Going somewhere?"
"Oh, yes. Gavin needs clothes."
Much to Mindy's surprise Andy started laughing. "Yes, he does. Pick out something nice for him, many men are lost when they have to buy clothes and Gavin is a special case." Still snickering he went to Gavin and gave him a pat on the back. "You'll survive. Just so no to pink, that colour won't suit you."
He walked away from them, but suddenly stopped. "Have you two seen Michael?"
"Behind the Pokémon Center," Mindy said and looked at Gavin, smiling broadly. "Shall we?" She wasn't sure why, but she was looking forward to this small trip to the store.

Michael watched Sparky get covered with the bowl, but when he noticed his Arcanine was going towards her he decided to let her handle it. Jycii and Charles seemed to speak with each other, he was too far away to hear their words, but it seemed to be civil. With most of Gavin's and Mindy's Pokémon returned this place was emptier than before. One thing was for sure: he had the smallest party. Not just by having the fewest, but three of his four Pokémon were small as well. It didn't matter though, there was plenty of time to add to his team.
The doors opened and the scent of the food, the buzz of voices and the bright lights greeted Andy even before he stepped inside, as if a good friend waited for him. Maybe he just went too often to places like this, in the end they all looked and smelled alike. As he entered the fast-food restaurant he glanced around, starting to his left. It was busy, but not more than usual around this time. A few children were playing in the corner, a group of students were eating a meal while being busy on their phones, a family of five were unpacking their freshly fried food.

Finising his glance over the entire establishment, his eyes lingered on someone he recognised standing at the right side. Alastor, the disappeared patient. Obviously he had upgraded his clothes, and starting with a hospital gown even a saggy t-shirt and torn jeans would have been an upgrade, but it was definitely him.

"Well, that is curious," he said, taking in Alistors posture and he stepped towards him. "I am certain the test result showed several fractures. Yet you stand here as if nothing is wrong," he gestured to the cane, "I mean, that thing is just for show." He knew the difference between someone relying on a cane to stand or move, and someone using one as a fashion statement. Alistor, with his entire outfit, seemed hopelessly out of place here and the cane was just part of the outfit. He put a hand in his side. "Although," he continued, "I suppose what surprises me most is that you stand here, and not in the line to order something. Aren't you hungry?"

"Yeah, don't worry about it," Ethan said. "The little buggers are gone. I just hope we won't get in trouble for this." Although, he'd like to have a word with the agent who dumped them on the attic like that.
He too started searching for something they could use, but as far as he could see, this wasn't a place where they dumped the old equipment. Most of the boxes were filled with old personnel files and reports. None of it was particularly interesting. He flipped through some of the papers, but nothing here was confidential.
He pulled a crate to the side and saw a mousetrap with a half rotten mouse in it. "I don't think they come here very often," he muttered.

"No," Morrison said, maybe a bit too quick. "No need to come, I know the combination, it's all I need." He closed the door and stood there a moment longer, then he turned around and started walking. Not to the weapon lockers, he'd go there later. He went straight to the office of mr. Johnson.

"I see," mr. Johnson said, leaning back in his chair and looking at the computer screen in front of him. "Who is this project we have in our midst and why do you call about it?"
He didn't like this mysterious phonecall, or the mystery caller. He took a cable from the table and plugged it into the phone. With three mouseclicks he opened he program that hopefully would allow him to discover where the caller was calling from.

Benjamin put his hand on Stephs shoulder. He didn't know what the demon woman was talking about and he didn't really care either. Not as long as Steph was shaking like this. "It's okay," he said to her. "They are gone. Which is probably for the best, because I suck at personal combat." He turned to April. "Thanks for coming. I admit I was in over my head, but I couldn't turn my back on Steph."
He looked back at Steph to make sure she was getting calmer.
"They haven't given up on me yet, they still hope to cure me." Benjamin sighed, he wasn't sure if that was good or bad. As long as they hoped he could be cured they would nag about therapy, but if they would give up and want to prove he was insane, he'd never leave this place. He would be trapped here forever.
He cleared his throat. "Right," he quickly said, pushing back the uncomfortable thoughts before they would get a hold on him. "Let's draw something together." He paused. "Well, after Ari, and me excusing to the staff for missing group therapy, and the meeting with the psychiatrist." He laughed a bit, rubbed the back of his head. "My afternoon seems to be pretty full already."

Marc watched Sara go and went to the catatonic patient. While she was unresponsive, she did react to food or liquids and managed to chew and swallow just fine. "Hello Carol," he said, sitting down at the table. "We have a wonderful lunch for you." He looked at the tray that was placed on the table. All mixed food of course, they didn't dare risking giving her solid food to eat.

Geoffry just muttered things under his breath, barely audible. When the tray was placed in front of him he took the ergonomic fork with the big handle, but his hand shook so much he wasn't able to scoop up any food.
I'm trying to decide if the old dragon will be annoyed or amused by the little one XD

I just realised I never replied to the Heartstones, but I like that idea! Of course none of my characters now anything about it, Mikhal may have heard a reference in a song once or twice, but never an explanation of what they really are.
Can it be anything from medieval to futuristic, as long as the theme is still recognisable?
Saruya lowered her head to Missy. "I don't think there is anything wrong with your paws, but if you want to or deserve it I will carry you around like a small pup," she stated. "if you don't want to be carried around like that and behave, I won't do it."
She did understand why Harry picked up Sparky like that, it was quite an energetic little one and it was the easiest way to get her where she needed to be.

Mabel followed the small Pokémon at her own pace, with her big steps she was able to keep up with them even if she walked slowly. She kept a respectful distance to Niccia and remained silent so Charcoal and Ixia could ask for permission.
As she waited, she turned to look at Michael. "Marie told me about you."
"What did she say?" he asked.
Mabel blinked. "You can... understand me?"
"Ehm," Michael began, rubbing the back of his neck. "Long story..."

Anthony joined Lytse and Marie. "This is Marie," Lytse introduced him. "We played together at Rhando Island, before Mindy left to explore Kanto." He turned to Marie. "I'm sure Benny will come say hello to, you saw him fly, didn't you?"
The Dunsparce nodded and looked at the tree. As they saw Benny fly up, Lytse beckoned him with his short paw and the Butterfree came to them.
"Travelling did you good!" Benny said to Marie. "You look strong and healthy."
"You look the same as the last time I saw you. But you don't battle a lot anymore, don't you?"
"Only when Andy is in danger. Or if he wants to humiliate an unexperienced trainer. They always make fun of me when they see me, calling me weak, but they don't know I've been with a trainer for... I don't know, twenty years or so? It's a valuable lesson for them.

Mindy nodded to Gavin. "I'm ready to go," she said, waving to Michael and Mabel before she turned around to lead Gavin to a place where he could buy some new clothes. "Do you want to buy at a cheap place or a regular store." High-end stores were already scratched from the list. 'some money from Alola' didn't sound like a lot.

When his Pokémon were done eating he got up and stretched his arms. "Let's go see where that nephew of mine is. He wasn't in his room."
His furret jumped up to walk next to him, the Primeape followed behind. The three of them walked towards the exit of the Center.
Ethan watched Gaia wreck the lock and open the cage. The red in her eyes and the smoke escaping the corners of her mouth worried him. He recalled what agent Barow had said to him the previous night.
"That Gaia isn't human. She may act like it, but she's dangerous. Be careful around her."
He didn't want that to be true, but right now Gaia did seem dangerous. Her reasoning was very human though.
The imps were still in the cage, unsure what to do with the open door. Ethan let out an irritated groan and walked to the cage. "Come on you little devils, out of it," he said as he took the back of it and tilted it, so they had no choice but to go to the unlocked door. "Don't stay on these grounds, if they catch you doing mischief they might do worse than what they already did."
Now the imps all hurried to the hatch and went outside, where they used their talent to disappear from sight and flee the place.

Ethan dropped the empty cage. "Happy now?" he asked.

Agent Morrison went to the room where Jase and Carl went. He knocked twice and immediately after opened it. "Hey," he said. "I need-" He stopped when he saw the wings, but hurried to hide his surprise and act normal. "I need the combination for weapon locker 3, I'm going hunting vampires again tonight, but I forgot. Did it end with 57 or 75?"

Mr. Johnson looked at his phone and frowned. He picked it up. "Mr. Johnson speaking," he said, waiting for the unknown caller to identify themselves.

Benjamin looked up when he heard a familiar voice. Wasn't that the same demon who had joined them after Jackson had... killed Steph. That was something he'd rather not think about, he clearly remembered the devastating grief when he thought she had died. By the looks of it she had an effect on the guys, because they actually took a step back.
"Are you okay, Steph?" he asked as he turned around to look at her. He was glad April was here, truth to be told, he wouldn't have been able to do much to help Steph aside from trying to talk his way out of it.

Bird-like cries sounded through the sky as two Wingull seemed to be fighting over a large berry. The one in pursuit fired a Watergun and hit the one with the berry, who dropped it. The second dove after it, snatched it up and flew away, but the first used a Quick Attack and snatched the berry again.
The fight continued for a while until a Supersonic confused the other Wingull so much, it flew into a building and dropped to the ground. The other Wingull quickly snatched the berry and flew off.

The Wingull lay in the ground, unconsious. Luckily there is a Pokemon center not too far away.

From a nearby tree a Spinirak lowered itself. It looked at the two trainers, one of them had just caught a Weedle. Without a warning tt fired two String Shots, aimed at the two trainers, and then quickly went up the tree again.

A bus was doing its route in Mesperit city, closing in on the busstop near Gabe and Lucien. It would be a couple of minutes before it would stop there and let the passengers out. The same warning poster that hung on the kiosk hung on the wall of the busstop.
Warning
Spinarak and Ariados spotted near the cave.
Guided tours to the cave are still leaving every two hours,
but it is adviced to stay on the road and do not enter the forest by yourself.
