Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

Mr. Johnson stood in front of the window and looked outside, his eyes following Gaia until she disappeared. The mystery caller annoyed him, or, more precisely, not knowing the identity annoyed him. Unless that person could come with very good reasons not to, he would dispose of that monster, regardless of their wishes. Then there was Carl, who was seen with wings. Maybe it was best to deal with that first. He typed in a message for him.
*Report to my office.*

Benjamin had a smile on his face as he listed to Steph talk about the most obvious Succubus Kiss and seemed to miss the hidden meaning. That didn't matter, maybe he just wasn't on her mind as she was on his. He stopped when Steph stopped and looked at her. "It must be hard to be plagued by those, is that why April was there?"
He could imagine what urges those were and a part of him wondered how it would feel to be subjected to them, but he reminded himself Succubi could be dangerous. Still, he trusted Steph.

Mike had finished his lunch and exited the place with Mitch and Stuart.
"What will you do now?" Mitch asked.
He didn't respond at first and avoided to look at his friend. "Nothing until I get an order," he said, "she is still part of the organisation. Unless mr. Johnson orders it."
"Right," Mitch said. "When the order comes, call me. I still don't believe you can do it."
"And if you have questions you can always text me," Stuart said.
Mike nodded and shook his hand, after which he followed Mitch to his car, so he could be dropped off at the base.
I love bouncing ideas with you <3 You always have interesting ideas for the RP's.

How would Benjamin discover the spirits within the vessel though?
An aura? Or does he see parts of spirits emerge at the surface of the vessel and go back inside continuously? Or is Harriet able to sense such things?
Mike can help too, I'm sure he can read up on some kind of ritual that will calm spirits.
Benjamin watched the exchange of souls as he ate his own food. He was soon done and looked at Ray's body, currently occupied by Dia. "You always look after her, don't you?" he asked. "Quite a sacrifice you're making, this meal is boring. It lacks all kind of flavour, but I suppose it is at least nourishing."
He was soon done with his own meal and put everything down. At least he wasn't hungry anymore, so that was a good thing. Desert would probably more tasteful, pudding or fruit from a can, it usually was something like that. "I suppose we should be grateful they actually make a three-course meal for lunch," he sighed.

"Thank you," Geoffry said without looking at Sara. He stared in the distance as he often did.

Marc stood next to the cart and looked at the staff that started to collect the platters of the patients who were done. He looked at Carol and sighed, but soon turned his attention to Sara, who seemed to be done with helping Geoffry. He smiled, that happened almost instantly.
It's a good thing he has his loyal general with him who can be the bad guy substitute, trying his best to keep the kingdom safe and sometimes making decisions without informing the king first, especially when the king seems to be preoccupied with pleasing the monster instead of ruling the country.
Nice :)

It's not needed to possess mr. Johnson for the final push, he's perfectly capable to cause of all the shit that will happen by himself. It's a nice idea, but I'd rather have mr. Johnson to be the bad guy because he is, not because of an external factor. Of course he thinks he's doing good and he will do whatever it takes and use whatever weapon he can find to keep humanity safe from monsters, which is what makes him dangerous.

But... talking about trapped ghosts gave me another idea for a mission, which may not end well for your character, so we definitely don't have to do this.
One of Benjamins life missions is to help ghosts move on to the afterlife. It started when he came across a wandering spirit, who had remained on earth so long that it existed with no goal, just going around in the same circle over and over again and not showing any sign of noticing anything of what happened around it. That's when he decided he would help spirits move on, so they wouldn't end up like that.
And he resents the idea of spirits being trapped by something and therefore unable to move on. If he learns about that he'll want to try to free them.
"In my experience, most fire-types do," Mabel said as she closed her eyes. It was nice to lie here in the sun. She opened one eye to see what Ixia was doing and closed it again. The little ones were her responsibility now and she would keep an eye on them. But unless they did something foolish like balancing on the elevated edge of the roof, nothing could happen here.

Mindy looked at the other shirt. "That is also a nice," she said, looking at both colours. "I think darker suits you better, but you'll have to try it on to really see it. You'll want some dark-blue jeans with them." She turned and pointed at the trouser section.
Only a handful of other customers were shopping here, but most were women browsing the female section. Mindy had no desire to check out what they had for sale here, she had enough clothes with her, buying more was just extra weight.

As Andy walked away, Michael turned to Niccia and nodded. There wasn't much he could do now, so he would just put his faith in his uncle and avoid worrying about it. Especially since he had other things to worry about. Like Darkrai. With Souls new colour he couldn't help but think about the Legendary Pokémon who had taken him once and almost twice.
Another thought best pushed back.
"What are the plans for today?" he asked Niccia. He needed to talk about something simple like that. "I mean, we could check out the gym."

Bear looked in Soul's direction, turned his attention back on Lytse and then jerked his head in Soul's direction again. "Whoa," he said as he ran towards the Absol. "The colour of your fur changed! Did you paint it?' He rubbed his hand over Soul's back to see if the colour would come off, but it didn't. "What's with the new look?"

Andy reached the front of the Pokémon Center and stood there for a moment, before he started walking down the street. "If you want me to carry you, just say so," he said as he looked at Varina. "Or kick- no throw your keystone in my calf to get my attention. Just not too hard, okay? I don't want to limp the rest of the way."
He looked at his Furret. "And you, stay with her, okay?"
Kim nodded to the order and smiled at Varina.
Ethan nodded and went with agent Barow. He could see the older male didn't look happy, and if he had to guess it had something to do with Gaia. The agent had been very clear in the past about how he considered her a monster, so he wouldn't be happy she'd tag along. Which was too bad, because the boss outranked him.
"Where are we going to train?"
"Downstairs. Morrison is preparing a motorized dummy. You need to practice the staking against a moving target too."
Ethan nodded and followed the agent inside.

"Okay," Benjamin said to April, tapping the brim of his hat as a greeting, followed by a nod to Steph.
"Yes, let's go," he said to her, and he started to walk back to the entrance of the café. "You know," he mentioned, "I would like to try that Succubus Kiss once, but not today. The day has been eventful enough." He glanced to Steph as he said that, recalling she had spotted that cocktail on the menu. Although, if he was honest, that wasn't the only Succubus kiss he wanted to try...
Trevor examined Rai. This was unexpected, and a good point had been raised: how could they be certain her words were true? And, more importantly, did he even care? If the current king was gone, he couldn't care less who'd sit on the throne, as long as he could live his life in peace.
"If she wants to feel important, let her," Trevor said. "It's not like we have any other heirs and if she wants to risk her life in a battle against the current king, why not?"

The Hermit looked at Damien and Noble. "Do you have a reason why you think she would be lying?" he asked them, knowing very well why they reacted that way, but he'd give them a chance to explain it. He ate from his soup, relaxed and calm, ignoring the hostile stance and the hard undertone of the words.

Mikhal forgot to eat his soup when Rai announced who she was. He looked at her and how everyone responded. He had to remember this, there was an epic tale unfolding here and he had to pour it into a song. It was one of the best ways to preserve history of course and it didn't happen often a bard was in the middle of it.

The elder dragon turned to Ricky. "My scales are old, just like me," he said to her, before turning to Comet. He nodded slightly as a greeting. "It's good to see your kind again, it has been a while," he said to her.
He looked around for a moment, his eyes lingering on the water sorceress. Not his favourite kind of sorcerer, but if she would be civil, he would be too.

The general felt the castle shake. "Volven," he grumbled and made his way to where the dragon rested, to make sure if everything was okay. And he assumed the king would be there as well. And if he wasn't, the man would surely haste to see what the dragon needed.
Bloody dragon. If it was up to him he'd kill the beast, just like any other dragon. But it wasn't up to him.
"Your Highness!" he called from the top of the stairs, before he started descending them and ventured into the cellar.

Benjamin nodded and smiled, they had each other and they would find a way to get out. He was glad he had found a friend here, alone it would seem like an impossible task, but he wasn't alone. If they wouldn't or couldn't be released through official means, they would just have to break out.
He continued his meal, there was little else to do anyway.

Marc had finished feeding Carol and wiped her mouth before he brought the platter with the empty plate to the big cart that was used to keep the food warm while it was transported from the kitchen. He looked around to see how things were looking. The patients were behaving well, sometimes they had outbursts of whatever plagued them, but today it seemed to go smoothly. And his shift was coming to an end too. just two more hours and he could go home. He looked at Sara, who was already home. Maybe he'd ask her out, he had gotten permission for that. But that would have to wait for after lunch was over.
"But you," Mabel said, looking at the winged Charmander, "Do you like warm weather?" she got up to scoop up some of the earth and grass and put it elsewhere, so there was enough room where Charcoal could rest his tail. She smiled when she saw how happy Ixia was and she lay down on the grass again.

Mindy looked around and checked some of the clothes. She noticed Gavin was looking at the dress shirts. A good choice, a bit formal perhaps, but there was nothing wrong with that. Her fingers brushed the fabric of some shirts as she walked past them. "What about this?" she said as she pulled out a green one.

When Fez didn't look at the door anymore, a Meloetta snuck in. She hid between some clothes and watched Gavin from a distance.

"Every day," Bear commented when Jycii asked her question. "Soon he'll defeat me in hand-to-hand combat!"
"I doubt that," Lytse muttered.
Bear looked up when Andy joined them. "Bear, why don't you stay here and protect Michael while I'm gone. You know I'll go to the library and you'll just be bored there."
Bear nodded.
"Great! Kim, you're with me. And Benny..." He saw the Butterfree pointing at Lytse. "Okay. I'll have Kim, Varina and Merlin with me." He heard Bear huff at the mention of Varina. "Be kind, Bear." He stroke the fur on the top of his head. "I won't be long."
He walked back to where Michael and Niccia were and picked up the keystone of Varina, his Furret followed him. "Let's go, Varina," he said, tapping on the keystone. "We have heroic reading to do!" He turned to Michael. "I'm going to check the newspapers, see what I can learn there."

Michael's look saddened and he nodded. When he had come to Kanto it had been to explore the region and when he had met Niccia he really had wanted to go with her and help her. But when they had arrived at Goldenrod and he had that long talk with his uncle to explain what he had done and who Niccia was, that's when he had told him about the disappearance of his father. He hoped his uncle would discover something useful.
