Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

"What way did they go?" Penalopy asked. "I'll go meet her~"
James quickly joined her. "Let's just wait for them, miss Penalopy," he suggested. "That way you won't accidentally miss each other."
Penalopy sighed and floated to Soul's back, so she could snuggle in his fur. "You look different from last time~"

Mindy nodded to Gavin and looked around for a place to sit. She spotted a bench and sat down, leaving enough room for Gavin if he'd chose to sit with her.

Michael nodded to Li and then glanced to Niccia as he started walking. "Do you think they'll go after Soul too?" he asked as he walked, going faster than he had on their way to the gym. The news of the Arcanines worried him, and Gavin had to know about it too. He looked at his Cyndaquil partner, who was awfully quiet. It looked like the news had unsettled him too.

Andy watched Varina drink when Frosiien spoke again. "I only got Varina yesterday," he said. "I haven't had a battle since then. I wasn't planning on using her in a battle though, unless she wants to. I think she had lived with getting orders for a long time and she deserves a break from it all." He turned to Varina. "Right?"
Benjamin had his eyes on Steph, noticing how she slumped. "Of course," he said. "No-one wants that. Groups of people have been fighting to be acknowledged throughout history. It's very human of you." He crouched down in front of her, looking slightly up when he looked in her eyes. "It's a good thing to strive for and I will be with you along the way. But before you start on that quest, you need to know who you really are. And for that you need to learn more about the others of your kind. Let's go meet a few."

Morrison glanced at Carl at his taunt, he didn't see any reason why he wanted to have a coffee after this mission and watch them smile at each other.
The talk about Aura's didn't help him, he couldn't sense that. It didn't matter really, he was just back-up after all. He'd make sure Carl and Jase wouldn't get hurt. They were colleagues and no-one, not even fallen angels, would get them. He put a hand on his hip as he looked around, it would be close to his gun that way.
Love you too <3

Sure, if we can get Morrison out before he has vampires to hunt.
It was with mixed feelings Andy closed the door behind him. He had to abandon a guest who wasn't used to be in this realm, but he wasn't sure whether he feared more for Alastor or the humans he may encounter. Was it his responsibility to supervise Alastor, either to help the Laizu or protect others against him? He soothed his conscience with the assumption Alastor would probably honour his request and not kill anyone, at least not on purpose.

When he reached the hospital he went into the Emergency Department and got ready for his shift. A nurse, one of the regulars, already handed him a cup of coffee. His first of many to come. Not for the first time the thought that he might be drinking too much coffee crossed his mind, but it kept him going. Already prone to low sugar and low blood pressure, his use of coffee was almost medicinal. At least that was a good excuse to keep drinking it.

After taking care of the first two registered patients, an emergency case was rushed in. It pushed the waiting time for the people in the waiting area up even further, but that couldn't be avoided. After assessing the damage and stabilising the patient, Andy sent him away for surgery. He recalled meeting Alastor just the day before, but he couldn't devote much time thinking about that, or what the Laizu was up to now, since patients were still waiting to be seen by a doctor.
"It's without the murder because help arrived in time," Vivian reminded Ray. "The problem is, my dear, his victims are women he is close to. He was really close with the girl at his school and with his sister. But when his delusions kicked in, he turned on them. I'm not sure he even realizes what had happened, I'm working with him to understand his delusion. But that is why he is here, and I wanted to warn you, because you may not be safe with him. I fear for you if you two will get closer than you already became."

Benjamin sat down in the padded room, his back against the wall. He wrapped his arms around him and left one leg stretched out as he pulled up the other. Stay calm. Meadows. Think about the meadows. It would help him if he could draw one, but he had to settle with closing his eyes and trying to imagine one.

Marc nodded and started the car. "I think I know a nice place then. It's on the other side of town, but I don't think you'll mind a drive, do you?" He drove into the traffic and planned the route they had to take.
Hearing her say she had been in that place for a long time made him feel sorry for her, but also worried him a bit. Was it really safe to take her out? He shook off the thought, the psychiatrist wouldn't have allowed this if she felt it was unsafe for Sara or for him. Her situation conflicted him too, staff was allowed to date other staff, but not patients. Was Sara staff or patient? Again he decided that if the psychiatrist trusted her enough to help out as part of the staff, she wasn't just a patient, which meant he could date her. And the pscyhiatrist hadn't objected to taking her out, so obviously she didn't think he was breaking social protocol.
Suddenly he realised he should be talking with Sara instead of fretting over details. "Are you, erm, is there anything specific you want to see now that you are out?" he asked her.
Now that he was taking her on a date they might as well go somewhere she wanted to go.
Mindy noticed the Absol who nodded to them. One of Niccia's Pokémon, but that was all she knew about it. It didn't look like Michael and Niccia were back yet, Soul would probably be with her if that was the case.
As Mindy contemplated whether or not they would wait inside, Penalopy jumped up from Gavin's shoulder and she floated to Soul. "Soul~" she chimed as she put her small, invisible hands on the sides of his face. "Where is Mew? I want to play~"

"Yeah," Michael said and he was about to say more when he realized half his team consisted of descendants. He let out a soft sigh, he really needed to build a proper team if they were going to face trouble like this. At least he had Bear and Benny with him now, but they would go back to his uncle.
He took his Pokéball and aimed it as his Arcanine. "Return," he said to her.
With his Arcanine safe in her Pokéball, Michael looked to Niccia before continuing their walk to the Pokémon Center.

Andy chuckled when he saw Varina dunk her head into the glass, that was cute to watch. When Frosiien spoke he turned his attention to her.
"Not at the moment," he said. "I'm sure the researcher in me will come up with loads of questions for you, but for now he is silenced because he is in the company of a beautiful woman." He had a gentle smile. "But I will have to introduce you to the rest of my team. Merlin is asleep, but Benny and Bear are awake and I'm sure they'll love to meet you. They're with my nephew now."
Benjamin walked through the small room until he was at the wall and leaned against it with his back. "It's admirable you want to give the demon species a better name, but have you met many of your kind? If the good ones are the exception than you shouldn't go through the trouble of giving the species a better image, just show others they don't have to be afraid of you. If the evil ones are the exception, then I will help you clear their name. We just need to find some more and see what they are like."
He did have a breakfast planned with that woman who looked like a succubus too, so maybe he could get a better idea of the species as a whole through her.

Morrison exited the car and looked at Jase, narrowing his eyes. He then glanced around but didn't spot any angels. He checked his weapons and then nodded to Carl. "So far no trouble. Let's see if we can find them. If we're quick you two lovebirds can have some time together." He checked the reports to see where they had been, it was unlikely they would return to any of those places, but it gave an indication of what circle they operated in. "I recommend we start our search in the west-side and head to the centre," he said to the others.
Andy watched as Alastor eat his breakfast, a hearty and healthy one too. He had settled for toasting a few slices of bread and eating them with pre-sliced cheese from the fridge, after he had helped his guest prepare his breakfast. It usually was that or cornflakes. Something fast and simple.
He grinned when Alastor managed to both insult and compliment humans at the same time. "We'll have that conversation again after you watched your first hotdog-eating competition," he promised, eating the last bit of toast.

When the Laizu raised his plate and asked his question, Andy nodded. "We wash them so we can use them again later," he explained. "Some fill the sink with water and a bit of soap and wash it by hand," he pointed to the sink as he said that, "but lazy people like me use a dishwasher." As he said that he opened his dishwasher and pulled out an empty tray. "Plates here. Cups, mugs, glasses here. Cuttlery here. We'll run it when it's full, it's a waste of resources to let it wash only a few items at the time."

Since he had opened the dishwasher he put his plate in it, but he kept his mug for a second cup of coffee. "I will have to go to the hospital today for work, so you'll be alone for several hours. I have lots of books you can read and I can give you a key to this place so you can explore the city bit, but try not to kill anyone. In the evening I'll show you how to use the TV and the computer."
Benjamin stared at her, then his forehead wrinkled as he thought about her question. Not only did he have to think back to how he felt about her, he also had to determine when he had started seeing her as more than a friend. He remembered witnessing her transformation and thinking back, that initial transformation had probably shocked Steph as much as it had shocked him.
"I don't think I can give a simple yes or no answer to this. It's a bit of both and I'll do my best to explain because it depends a lot on the situation." He didn't want to just say 'Yes', because it wasn't entirely true and giving a definite answer like that would give an unnecessary sting and could lead to Steph making assumptions he then had to try and rectify.
"Generally," he began his answer, "I judge a person by their actions, not their gender, race, or species, but I did grow up with certain ideas which are hard to unlearn. We met after I had joined the organisation and I was already used to the idea that creatures from myths were real, but the organisation also reinforced the concept creatures like vampires and demons are evil. Then we met your group. It was shocking to see something like Gaia in real life and honestly, I was a bit afraid of her at first. And when saw you for what you really were I too found it difficult to look beyond what I had already learned about demons and such, and..." He looked straight at her. "I admit I felt fear, but that moment passed immediately when I saw how the agents reacted to you, and you to them. I didn't stand up for you because I liked you, I did it because I saw who the dangerous ones were."
He recalled she had only shown her true form, nothing more, and the agents had aimed their guns at her. The thing he remembered most clearly was her fear for them, and for good reason, the agents had looked ready to fire at her. It had immediately shattered the thought 'demon!'
"But," he continued, "if we would have met in your true form back when I was still a ghost hunter and you wouldn't be the victim of aggression, I think I would have been afraid, because you would have been the first demon I'd have seen and I wouldn't have any reason to assume you weren't evil."
It was probably not exactly what she had wanted to hear, but it was the truth.

"Then why was I even suppose to come with you?" Morrison asked, glancing at Carl from the corners of his eyes. "To have back-up in case things go sour?"
It wouldn't have been the first time, he was often used for missions to take out dangerous creatures, not explore possible harmless ones. Although he had never had to battle an angel before, he had quickly read up about their weaknesses when he had gotten this assignment.
That is an interesting idea. I'd join a fantasy setting.
