Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

Stuart watched the feet unfold and tapped on the keyboard as he entered the physical attributes he could see.
"Excuse me," he said as he gently touched the fur. "Intruiging. Oh, almost forgot, do you consent to pictures being taken? Of the limbs and torso and back. No private parts and noting that would identify you." He glanced at Jase. "Although, with you being the only we know of people of this base at least will still know it's you."

Benjamin put an arm around Steph and pulled her closer to the door of her room; it looked like Gaia wouldn't come for them, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a place they could dive into if the situation required it.

Mike moved back further when he heard her rumble. She looked dangerous now, like a beast. He stared at her; he was not equipped to deal with that.

"Damn it, Gaia, what is your problem?" Ethan said as he pointed his gun at her.
"How about we just take out a damned threat?" Morisson grumbled.
Ethan didn't reply to that. "Gaia! I will take action if you hurt anyone. Don't make me do that. What the fuck are you doing?"
Is this still about the transfobic tweets last month or did something new happen?

Too bad this will close :( I was really looking forward to this. But would you be okay if I use this idea for a fanfic?

Inside the gym, Andy looked around first, but there really was only one way to go. He walked further until they reached the gym. The only one he saw was a girl sweeping the floor.
"We've come for a battle," Andy announced.

Whitney looked up when she heard him. "Oh! Okay! We'll have a battle. I'm the gym leader here, my name is Whitney."

"I'm Andy. This here is Frosiien. And this one," he put his hand on Bear's head, "is the one that wants to fight you. One on One, your strongest against my Primeape."

"You've got a bit of a type advantage there," Whitney said as she took her Pokéball. "But that's okay. Miltank has swept the floor with many fighting types! Come to the field, Miltank!"

"Oh yeah!" Bear exclaimed. "Finally!"

Andy took place in the designated area and looked at the enthusiastic Primeape who was hopping from leg to leg.

Michael returned the look. "Not much. That it's some kind of gathering of Legendary Pokémon. Niccia didn't say a lot about it, just that she's excited to see everyone again. And she assured me I'd be welcome there. I have no idea what to expect, but she made it sound like a family gathering."

"My pleasure," Mabel replied, watching the city too. "It is a modern and big city," she agreed. "Celadon and Saffron are similar. When it comes to view I much prefer the ocean. Water as far as you can see. I like to swim in it too." She glanced aside. "Do you have a favourite location?"

"Contests are fun," Mindy said, "I prefer them over battles. But Blaze likes battling more than dancing." She laughed. "In a contest, you have to put up a show and you use attacks of Pokémon, but not to do damage. You have to dazzle the crowd with the moves. This Glitter-fountain over here," she gestured to Sparky, "would definitely score points. Blaze has his Ember-tornado. He makes circles with his tail while doing ember, so the embers spiral upwards. When he has the room to fly, he'll spin and be the center of the Ember-tornado. I won a fire-contest with that move once."

For the winning entries of RPGC #15 and up, please go to the RPGC: Trophy Case.
This topic is to give honour to the winners of RPGC #1 to RPGC #14.

The winning entries of the RPGC's #1-#14:
This writing competition is now closed for new entries.

Please go to the Voting and Feedback thread to vote for your favourite entry. Feedback for the entries is welcome.

We have three entries, so a voting period of two weeks should be enough. To fill the time between the voting and the new RPGC that will start in August, we will have a mini-writing competition during the second half of July. Details for that will be shared after the voting period closes.

Welcome to the Voting and Feedback round for RPGC#27!

Voting and Feedback guidelines
  • Please take your time to read through all the entries before voting for your favourite work. Did it make you laugh or cry? Was it the most original? Did it have the best grammar? The reasons you base your vote on are up to you, as long the vote isn’t based on whether or not you like the author.
It would be nice if you could share why you voted for a specific work too.
  • Giving feedback is optional but highly encouraged. When giving feedback you should be respectful and constructive. It’s good to point but the flaws in the story as it will help the writer grow, but don’t be mean.
Make sure to point out what you liked or what worked well too.
  • Contestant may and are encouraged to vote for and give feedback for the other entries, but don’t vote for your own entry. If contestants wish to withhold a vote and only give feedback, that is good too.
  • The entries are anonymous unless the writer asked for having their name added. That being said, writers may claim their work at any time during the voting period.
  • The entry with the most votes will win, but in case of a tie a Contest Mod will cast the tie-breaker vote.
  • You can vote for entries and post your feedback in this thread.
  • If you rather have your vote and/or feedback be anonymous you can PM it to @Calle instead.
  • The voting period deadline is July 15th, 9:00 GMT+1, which is 7:00 game time (both times are in a.m.).

The Entries

"Did someone hurt you?" Benjamin asked. He tried to understand why Rai would be afraid to get hurt. Had something happened in this room before they got here? Was she reliving memories of the past?
They had to get her back to her body, but how? They couldn't do anything until Ari was released from the infirmary again. He hoped Ari was doing well.

Marc invited Sara to walk with him with a gesture of his arm and he went to the door. He walked through the door first and held it open long enough for Sara to take it over.
He looked left and right; there wasn't much to see here, but it wasn't an ugly neighbourhood so it would work well for a walk.

His mind went between being glad that Sara was with him to all the serious things they had discussed so far. He thought back to the other day when Benjamin asked about where Simon was. Now that he thought about it, it was odd that Simon had gone home so suddenly. Surely there had to be a process before, evaluations. Surely staff would have to be in on the fact a patient would soon go home. He hadn't questioned it before, but now he started to.
The last 24 hours before the deadline have begun. For those who wrote a story and didn't send in yet: now is the time for a final read-through and then send it in a PM to me.
"The land of the fae is probably not a different dimension as the demon realm often is," Stuart said. "The theory is that they live among us here, but hide their land behind magic so no human can see it. It is likely they live in the nature reserves, but I have no way of testing that theory."
He noticed the drooping of the ears and muttered a 'fascinating' as he made a mental note about that.

He opened a door and invited Jase to come in. It was a small conference room, only suitable for meetings with up to six people. "We'll have some privacy here. We'll lock the door and close the curtains, and then I'll have a look. Okay?"
He closed the door after Jase got in and locked it. Then put his laptop on a table and went to the first curtain to close it.

Mike's eyes widened when she started thrashing about and he ducked when some wood flew over his head. He backed away to the open door as he stared at Gaia and he was about to call for help when she suddenly went for him. He got thrown to the side and he smashed into the wall.
With a face contorted with pain and a hand on his back, he walked to the door to see where Gaia was now.

On this time of the day there were only few agents in their rooms, but both Ethan and Morrison had been resting there when an alarm on their cellphone sounded. Then they heard some noises and rushed out, just in time to watch Gaia slam into the wall.
"What the fuck," Morrison said as he walked toward her, pulling his gun.
Ethan, likewise, held a gun as he approached Gaia. He noticed Mike in the doorway. "Are you hurt?"
"yeah..."
"What happened?"
"I don't know. She got wild."
"I told you she was a dangerous beast," Morrison grumbled.

Benjamin turned when he heard a noise and saw Gaia slam into the wall. "What the..."

Mr Johnson watched the camera in the hall and he looked at device. "Let's see what happens if we increase the frequency a bit," he said as he turned a knob.
