Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

It's okay, don't worry about it. I can deal with slow replies ^_^
You know there are names there I don't even know? XD Got some background research to do as I'm barely familiar with the legendaries post Kalos, but sure.

Your Heatran has a quiet nature, but I'm going to play him a bit grumpy. When I look at him I just see a grumpy Pokémon. And I like playing grumpy characters XD

And I was thinking that if I take Calyrex that you could take both Glastier and Spectier.

"Zarude are social and live in packs. They're usually incredibly aggressive, and frighten most other Pokémon; excelling in battle with their sharp claws and quick wit."
Sound like Mankey. I think Bear will make a Mythical friend ^_^ Or rival...

Since you play a few full sets, like the kanto and galarian bird siblings, maybe I can take a full set too. The Forces of Nature or the Swords of Justice perhaps?

Also, are there any characteristics of the legendaries that I'll be playing that I have to keep in mind? They are your babies and I want to do them justice.

I'm looking forward to play Jirachi, that's my favourite legendary. And I have plans for Ho-Oh...
In my own writing I had picked Ho-oh as the special Legendary for Michael, his Cyndaquil and his father, so this is perfect.
Now that all legendaries are getting together, are there more you'd like me to play?
I'll go over 50k with my story as well and I plan to keep going until the story reaches a good point to wrap things up, or when I run out of ideas to go further with it.

Last time I ended with 63k words for my story, so you don't have to stop at 50k if you have more to tell. But the good thing is that you reached the goal and you are a winner, so if you want to take a day to read it from the beginning and then continue you have the time to do that. I re-read small parts of my novel during November too, usually from the beginning of the chapter I'm working on to get back into the story.

NaNoWriMo is about writing a novel, and to me it feels best if I can finish that novel during November. There is plenty of time to read what you wrote afterwards. And there is also a NaNoWriMo month dedicated to editing the novel: Now What?

Now What?
So you wrote a novel… now what? This January and February, we’re providing resources, events, and tips to help you on your revision and publishing journeys.

I know one thing for sure. The moment they reach the dwarves Trevor is going to find the nearest ale vendor and not care one bit about the young king trying his best diplomacy with the dwarven king.
Nine more days and NaNoWriMo is over. Who is still writing?
Marc waited until Sara was inside before he turned back to his car. What an evening. And tomorrow he would see her again. It was odd thinking about it, but he had known Sara for as long as he had worked at that place, but he hadn't really known her. And now that he did he actually looked forward to work with her again.

He got in his car to drive home.

It was true no-one had noticed her in the cafeteria, but he wasn't sure when exactly she had started to get some mass. At one point, with enough mass, people probably would be able to notice her. It was still odd to be grabbed by a spirit, but he nodded to her and went to the door.
"Dia, are you in here?" he asked as he knocked. Barging in really was impolite after all.
"They should be on their way right now," he said as he watched the tracker in Harriet's phone. "She moved to the right location." Suddenly the signal died. "But I can't track her any further. It's up to you now." He disconnected the call and checked to see if he had any messages. An agent reported he the van was on its way, another reported telling Harriet about Mike's involvement. Risky, but could pay off.
He sent an e-mail to some of the senior staff before leaving the room.

Rudrig listened to what Rose had to say, it stung she was so afraid but there wasn't much he could do about it now. Then her confession came, which Freya had also hinted about. Maybe now was not the time to tell her he wasn't interested in her love. He did like her, but as a friend.
"Rose, we've always worked together very well and I enjoyed the time we spent together. I won't let anyone kill you, okay? Because you are dear to me. I was told you weren't going to be harmed and I trust them. So hang in there, okay? I understand this isn't easy for you, but you'll be fine."

As he talked he sat down behind his laptop and frowned when he read it. "I'm going to relocate as well," he told her, "I just got the e-mail now. I'm being transferred to another base, but I will come to visit you as soon as I can, and that's a promise."

Mike picked up the gem and turned it over a few times. "This is one of those elemental gems. Why did Freya carry them?"
"Jesus..." Benjamin muttered when he checked his phone.
"What made you religious all of the sudden?" Ethan asked and he took the cellphone from Benjamin as he handed it to him. "Fuck... Right. You and Mike pack your things and get the hell out of here. I'm spending the night in the city with agents Morrison and Barrow anyway and we'll be hiding and sneaking around for the most part of it."
"I think..." Benjamin began as he texted the type of van and the numberplate they were taken away in to Duncan, "that we should reconsider working for these guys."
"I'm not going to become a boring ghost hunter if I can be a vampire hunter," Ethan said. "I don't care what you will do, but I'm staying."
Benjamin shrugged to that. "That's fine with me. Mike and I will hide in the city too and we'll decide in the morning what we can do. I still have that appointment with that succubus in the morning and..." he let out a defeated sigh. "We have no way to track that van."
"Well..." Mike began, "in a safe location I probably could..."
"That's not here," Ethan interjected. "Get to a hotel or something. And maybe see what Freya is up to. I'm going inside, see if I can find Morrison.

They decided that was the best thing they could do right now. With the gem in Mike's pocket they followed Freya to where the vans were parked. They would probably see her driving away soon if she was indeed leaving; they had talked for a bit after all, but they would take a car of their own.

10 days until the deadline for this art contest!
"I will definitely be here tomorrow," Marc said as he too got out of the car. Since she had replied with 'I would love that' to his question, he ignored her own idea of why he couldn't. Sure, he had to head home, but whether that would be now or in ten minutes made no difference.
He walked alongside her to the entrance of the building and used his card to open the door for her.
"Until tomorrow," he said to her. "And thank you for a nice date."

"I do," Benjamin said, who had no intention of hiding that. While he couldn't explain why he didn't try. People fell in love without pinpointing exactly why all the time. And he had fallen in love with a spirit, who just today got tangible. "Let's go."
As he walked to the door he glanced at Ari. "For me there is no difference in how I see you, do you think you're still invisible for others?"
