Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

"Don't be sorry," Benjamin said. "Do you know how helpful it is to have someone who can listen in on conversations without being seen, or check locked places?" He kept his hands on his legs, but he looked at Ari. "Don't fret about not having a solid form. You were able to breathe, even if it only lasted for a moment. You touched me. Maybe next time it'll be longer. If this change goes through I wouldn't be surprised if it will falter a few times. And if it doesn't, I will still see you and talk with you. As you saw, even my medication doesn't take you away from me. You are real and it doesn't matter how solid you are."

"You think I walked here?" Mitch stated coldly, not in the least inclined to take the offer of using Duncan's car. "My car will do."
He didn't know these people and he wasn't about to trust them or their cars.

"I'm not sure," Benjamin said to Duncan. "I got the invitation after Steph had some trouble with angels. I think it's just to talk."
With all going on, the breakfast appointment was the least of his worries. He looked from Mitch to Duncan and the others. "I think this is important, but we can come back here afterwards to plan what we're going to do next." He glanced to Freya. "What will you do? You were planning on going somewhere with the jeep."

Lily walked away with her assistant following her closely. When she received a text message she checked it; it was an update about Gaia. She decided to watch the footage of what was happening later, now she wanted to go back to the spider-girl. Maybe she was feeling a little better now. The Succubus was boring at this stage - even turned her back at them!

When she stood on front of the cage of the spider-girl again she examined the cocoon she had made. "Rose, did you make that?" she asked. "Have you woven more things? You only turned recently into this beautiful creature, didn't you?"
I think Trevor and RedClaws could be friends, if Trevor would start warming up to dragons.
Trevor and the old dragon were in the back and listened to Duncan and Gnol. Trevor's horse snorted and moved its head, as if it was nervous about something. It passed as quick as it had come.
"Hm..." the dragon rumbled. "Let's see how brave that horse is." He breathed in and let out a short roar as he shot some hot smoke to the horse.
Trevor let out an amused sound as he watched it, looking at what would happen next. His horse had barely reacted to it, a few sideways steps and some nervous snorting that were easily corrected with a tug on the reins.

Mikhal sat on the dragon behind Meria, who sat behind Rai. It was his second time on the back of a dragon and it was a good way of travel. He kept an eye on where they were going, checking his mental map. He had travelled around in the area a lot. "We'll have to camp in the forest," he said. "I don't think we'll reach a village before the night if we go in a straight path to the coast."

The fairydragon flew around, not being able to sit still for very long. She flew in front of Terasivas. "Hello big guy," she cooed. "Are you enjoying the ride?"

Fiona flew closer to RedClaws, but matched Orion's speed so she wouldn't fall behind.
I do glisten, she thought to him. When the sun shines on my scales. Fiona once had to cover me with mud when we were on a covert mission, because the sun was out. She directed her thoughts to Orion. Do I need to hide my scales? It's partly clouded now, but when the sun shinies I might draw some attention.

Rachel heard the thoughts Fiona sent out, being linked meant she could hear it all - Fiona didn't need to direct her thoughts to her.
She had her eyes on the horizon, looking over the forest. While she dreaded going to their base, she looked forward to seeing the place too.
@Kassarockthe voting thread always stays open after the voting deadline, so you can submit any feedback you have even a few days after the deadline.
@Kassarock but you can vote and/or give feedback when you entered the contest. I actually encourage people to do so. It's okay if you don't want to, of course, but I've had contestants vote and give feedback on other entries in previous contests.
"We have to meet Ethan at dawn," Mike said.
"And I have a breakfast appointment," Benjamin added, after which glanced to Mike. "You can come along."

Benjamin was about to say they didn't have a place to stay when Mitch answered the second question before he could.
"They will stay with me."
"Mitch, you really-" Mike began.
"Did it sound like a question?" Mitch snapped. "You two are staying with me." He finished up the stitching. "Done. Keep it still; the stitches will tear with a wrong move and I don't want to do this again. Use an arm sling."

"I suppose..." Mike began after a sideway glance at Mitch. "We should discuss what we're going to do now. It's one thing to leave an agency that is skilled in tracking down dangerous creatures, but to break into one of their facilities. I mean, I can spy without them seeing me."
"And I can do nothing special at all," Benjamin added. "I have had no training with weapons, espionage, IT. I've got strong legs and that is all I can offer."

Mitch pinched the bridge of his nose as he heard Mike and Benjamin talk about what they could contribute to the mission. He had broken into high-security places before, he knew exactly how to avoid detection. Those two would most likely be caught and overtaken by armed guards in less than five minutes.

"We'll find out, won't we?" Lily replied cheerfully. "You will get normal, human food. But not the other sustenance Succibi generally need." She smiled broadly. "It's not starving in the human sense that will happen. Succibi, as far as we know, need the energy that comes from strong emotions, love in particular. Sex is actually an energy boost for your kind, whereas for humans it takes a lot of energy to do so. Men have died from exhaustion when having sex with Succubi, and they couldn't turn the Succubus down." She observed Steph, taking in her horns, her boobs, her bodyshape and her tail. "If my predictions are correct, you will get weaker without that extra energy regardless of how much you eat, and one day you won't have the energy to keep your body going and you die. That is what previous research suggested."
"Maybe we can talk about him after Star Fall," Andy suggested as he walked with Frosiien to the gates. He wanted to know about her life, including the parts of it that weren't happy. Just not just before a party.
He looked back to see if Michael was still with them. Maybe he didn't need to as his nephew was old enough to look after himself, but old habits died hard.

Michael stood by himself as Niccia was being greeted, but soon Illia gripped his hands. "It's a pleasure to meet you," he said to her. "I heard Penalopy say we're ready, so I guess it's time for Star Fall now? Where do we go?"

Mindy smiled at Anylia and then at the Bonsley that was being lifted. "It's nice to meet you both." She glanced only briefly at the Decidueye that approached hers and the woman who was now hugging Gavin. She tried not to laugh when she saw the look in his eyes.
Timothy nodded to the other Decidueye. "I am, thank you." He noticed Mabel joined them. "This Dragonite is a friend of mine," he told her. "This is Mabel and I am Timothy. We are with the human Mindy." He nodded to their trainer when he said her name.

Benjamin turned to Ari when she mentioned air in her lungs. "That happened with Dia too," he recalled. "She could suddenly breath." He offered his hand for Ari to take, to check if she would go through or not.
But he already thought ahead; if she was tangible and visible now they had to get her into the system too, as staff or patient. Preferable staff, of course. Patients had the tendency to mysteriously disappear. Which would mean they had to find Dia.

Voting and Feedback guidelines

  • Please take your time to read through all the entries before voting for your favourite work. The reasons you base your vote on are up to you, as long the vote isn’t based on whether or not you like the author.
It would be nice if you could share why you voted for a specific work.
  • Giving feedback is optional but highly encouraged. When giving feedback you should be respectful and constructive. It’s good to point out any flaws or the things you feel could be improved or why you didn't like something, but don’t be mean.
Make sure to point out what you liked or what appreciated in the entry too.
  • Contestant may (and are encouraged to) vote and/or give feedback for the other entries, but shouldn't vote for their own entry. If contestants wish to withhold a vote and only give feedback, that is good too.
  • The entries are anonymous unless the writer asked for having their name added. That being said, writers may claim their work at any time during or after the voting period.
  • The entry with the most votes will win, but in case of a tie a Contest Mod will cast the tie-breaker vote.
  • You can vote for entries and post your feedback in this thread, but if you rather have your vote and/or feedback be anonymous you can PM it to @Calle.
  • The voting period deadline is December 23th, 9:00 CET, which is 8:00 game time (both times are in a.m.).
