Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

Michael followed Eros and put a hand on his head. "Hey, it's okay. You don't have to leave. We're not angry, just surprised to hear this." He glanced briefly at Niccia - he had seen her reaction to Darkrai, but she didn't seem in need of comforting, whereas Eros felt really bad about himself right now. "I'm glad you came out of hiding so we could meet," he assured him. "And I would like to introduce you to my Pokémon, if you agree."
Maybe not Missy for the first introduction, she could startle Eros with her enthusiasm, but Saruya was motherly and Lytse kind, and he was certain both would love to meet him.
As he thought about it he glanced around to locate them, and it didn't take him long to spot them.

"I do welcome the rest," Diel admitted with a laugh. "And you should have seen him in the hospital, trying his best to act like a human who definitely had been in hospitals before. I think he managed well enough, and he slipped away when they wanted him to fill in some forms."

Bear blocked the Brick Break by crossing his arms, although that didn't shield him entirely from the blow. This was exciting! He did notice Benny hovering above the field, but assumed him to spectate. Who wouldn't want to spectate his awesome moves?
"You're going down!" he said - in a normal battle he would have growled it, but there was a happy edge to his voice.
He ran forward in an attempt to catch Carrish and do a Seismic Toss by pounding her into the ground.

"That is settled then," Sea said. "I'll make a pool. Can you harden the walls, brother, so the water won't seep into the ground or become muddy?"
Like all siblings they had had their fights in the past and would have more in the future, but they were brothers and got along most of the time. Thankfully today was such a day.

Lytse tried to imagine how that must have been. As a companion of a human he had been in official institutions several times and he knew the love humans had for signing forms and other paperwork. It seemed like a hassle, but all humans did it so it must be something they enjoy, right?

"Wow, that is amazing," Mindy said in response to Xapher's explanation. "I'm truly honoured to meet you three," she then said to the Lake Trio. There were so many questions she could ask that she didn't even know where to start. How did the others do this seemingly so casual? Talking to Mythical and Legendary Pokémon. Looking at professor Bansing, he had the same body language as he had when talking to colleagues. How did he do that?
"You must have seen the world change quite a bit," she finally said as she turned her attention to the Lake Trio in front of her.

"It went well," Nethan said. "No feelings are hurt and she won't hate you if you two are just friends. And if you want my suggestion, don't date a child, like Niccia does. Young humans are confusing. I may not have met a lot of humans, but looking at the few I did, the older ones are much better capable of having a conversation. I once met a seventy-year-old woman and I suppose she was wise for human standards. That is what you should aim to date, if you fancy dating humans."

"Indeed," Ilios said. "Ho-oh is intimately involved with colour and light."
It was impossible to say how Arceus felt about the suggestion, as always he didn't show what he was thinking.

"That is one of my Pokémon, yes," Andy said. "My first actually. We met when he was eating from my honey sandwich."
The smile on his face when he thought back to that was full of warmth. Meeting the Caterpie had been one of the best things that had happened in his life.

One thing I like about this RP is imagining how Pokémon would perceive normal human things. I'm writing the next post and Lytse is assuming humans like paperwork, because they do it all the time.

Edit: also, Nethan should definitely start a relationship consultancy. The way he is of service to Gavin shows he knows what he is talking about.
Benjamin reached out to touch Sara's arm as she stared at her cup. "I never thought you lied. But, since you work alongside them you have a different relationship with them than the other patients. Are there any members of the staff you trust? People who are kind and not condescending and are willing to listen to patients?"
From what he had observed, there weren't many like that. They were either strict and demanded the rules to be followed, or were kind and treated everyone like children instead of adults.
"Oh, don't be ridiculous," Lily said as she took another slice and handed it to Rose. "There is plenty of cake, honey," she assured the spider woman. "If you are hungry you have to tell me and I will make sure you will have enough. No-one will go hungry here," she stated.
(Unless it is for scientific purposes) she added in her mind, but was careful not to say that out loud and she kept a charming smile on her face.

She turned to Steph when she spoke to her. "It's not up to me to release you from this facility," she admitted. "But I will do what I can to make your stay as pleasant as possible." (for me then). "I wouldn't dream of hurting any of you." (unless for scientific purposes, or to have some fun) She had a broad smile on her face. "You don't have to be afraid, I will be good for you all and you will have everything you need."

Ethan listened to the other agents as they explained about the common hiding places for vampires and to anticipate their movements. His heart was beating. This was exciting. Much better than that lame work of looking at haunted houses and shit.

Meanwhile Benjamin and Mike were enjoying themselves, blissfully unaware they were being watched by an agent of their agency, upon request of Lily. The woman had her eyes on Benjamin. A feast for the succubus.
All she needed was a moment to capture him, but maybe not tonight.

Trevor leaned against a wall with his arms closed as Noble and Duncan spoke to the inhabitants of this house. They didn't need his help here.
When the options for sleeping were presented he was quick to make his choice. "Hayloft," he stated. "I'm sure his highness over here won't mind."
If this was his house he wouldn't want some strangers sleeping inside. And hay would be more comfortable than the floor of this house, and both options were equally dry. Therefor the choice was easy.

Mikhal was busy with a flint and firestone when Ricky took off and he didn't notice her falling down when he heard her crash into the ground. He had partly risen when he noticed Alan was already with her, so he continued trying to get a spark in the kindling so they would have a fire soon.

Meria turned to Ark when the dragon spoke to her and she nodded. She walked away from the camp and put the small water dragon on the ground. Her eyes seemed to get a blueish hue and a moment later a small fountain erupted next to her. The water that fell on the ground floated away from the camp, but the water in the air was clean.
"I will be able to keep this going long enough for everyone to drink and fill a pot and waterskins," she told her travel companions.

The water dragon flew up and squealed as she flew through the water.

"Maxson..." Rachel repeated and she closed her eyes. Fiona, feeling the same grief, lowered her head.
Their leader was dead. Now what? Who would lead them to victory without Maxson. And they couldn't even appoint a new leader, because the Order wasn't complete. They couldn't make that descision as long as the other surviving members didn't return to their base.

When she heard Destiny's voice, she opened her eyes again and turned to face the woman. "You're not intruding," Rachel told her.

You know how in anime sometimes a stoic character does a thumbs up and stars appear around him because they feel they did a good job. That is how I imagine Nethan is doing the thumbs up to Gavin. He thinks he nailed it.
Michael noticed Niccia rise and examined her expression for a moment. "Banished?" he repeated. The replacement had already felt wrong, but now he leared she was actually banished. Why? From where he was he looked at Arceus and then at the replacement of Gavin who carried Niccia's replacement. Banished.
After a final glance at Niccia and the look in her eyes, he turned to Eros again. "Did your father mentioned why he banished her?" he asked. It was a long shot, but maybe Eros knew.

Diel made a dismissive motion with her wing. "Oh, nothing special. Wherever Netherlu flies I follow and he likes to keep an eye on the region, so we fly around a lot. Even today we had to stop on our way here because a human was in trouble and we brought him to the hospital first." She had a happy look in her eyes. "He doesn't like to sit still for a long time. Even here, when we all have a chance to sit back, catch up and relax."

Sea nodded slightly. "Not a problem," he stated. "I was actually thinking of making a pool too. Since you made a hole I could fill it with water so the water-types have a place to swim." He nodded to a Lapras. "She can barely move on land. But... it would be a problem if that platform comes down again."
He pondered the possible scenarios for a moment.

Bear landed on his feet and rose his fists in the air to celebrate the fantastic landing he had performed. When Carrish joined him and took on a defensive stance, he got excited. "Oh yeah! Let's do this!"
He ran towards her and initiated his Low Kick.

"Right, leave it to me," Nethan said and he strolled away with his hands in his pockets. He followed Mindy and Xapher to the Lake Trio. As they addressed Xapher he spoke up. "Pardon the intrusion," he said to them with a nod of his head and then turned to Mindy. "Hypotethically, if Gavin wouldn't love you, would you hate him for that?"
Mindy blinked at the sudden question. "N-no, why?"
"Good. Do you have feelings for him?"
"What?" Mindy blushed. "No, I mean, sure, I like him, he's a fun guy and intriguing, but... what kind of a question is that?"
Nethan narrowed his eyes as he tried to understand the meaning of the answer. "You humans are complex," he sighed. "But I suppose the answer will do." He turned to look at Gavin and gave a thumbs up.

Mindy still wasn't sure what had happened here, but decided to give her attention to the Lake Trio instead. "Hi, nice to meet you," she said. "I'm Mindy, a human, but you probably already knew that."

Ilios had an amused look in his eyes. "We actually had some suggestions," he said. "The party is great, of course. good food, good company, but we were talking and decided it could use a little more..."
He paused as he thought about the right words to use and he glanced to his sister for back-up.

"Oh, I like her," Andy said to Frosiien as she mentioned he was charming. "She has good taste." He turned to Dera to introduce himself. "Andrew Bansing, but I prefer to be called Andy. It's a pleasure to meet you."
He saw Benny fly to where the platform was and was glad for that. It was impossible for him to keep an eye on Bear from here.

"My pleasure," Benjamin replied. He watched Dia leave, and when she was out of sight he turned his attention to Sara. "What an eventful morning, right?" he uttered, followed by a sigh.
What had happened with Ray? Now she would be locked up in solitairy confinement again. H shuddered slightly. How awful would that be? He had been on the inside of one of those rooms only yesterday, but thankfully for just a small period of time. They had let him out as soon as he had taken his medication, but he had a hunch it wouldn't be that easy for Ray. This wasn't the first time.

He had his eyes on the door again; Ray had left through there, Dia had left through there. Dia could return anytime, and hopefully with good news about Ari. He shifted his gaze back to Sara as he waited patiently while she ate.
