RPGC #32 – The voice within

Sometimes it's our conscience that speaks to us, letting us know it's better not to eat a second slice of that delicious cake, or that stealing is bad. Sometimes, our inner demons try to make us do something while our inner angels will remind us about what is right.
Sometimes we don't know where the voice comes from.

Write a story about someone who has an inner voice.

I was looking up moves for primeape on bulbapedia: "This Pokémon is unavailable within Generation VIII."

How can that game be good if it doesn't have the awesomeness of a primeape in it? :P

That concludes this round of the art contest. With 7 votes the well-deserved winner is the purple jellyfish.

There were two entries who did the challenge, and because of the quality of the drawing and the subtle use of the challenge, the entry purple will also receive the staff pick this round.

Lily nodded to the numbers; stags would be difficult, but she'd see what she could do about it. "Wouldn't want you to hunt these ladies," she said with a small smile. When Gaia looked at Steph, she looked as well and noticed the colour changes of Steph's horns, the blush and the looking away, then she glanced at Gaia for a moment. Interesting.
Did she have a rival now?

"Anyhow, I'll leave you three to yourself. There's a kid too, by the way." Admittedly, she had almost forgot about him herself, but he was just so uninteresting. "Be kind to him, okay? And make sure he's fed."

With that, she left the common area.

The vampires were dealt with easily and Ethan received praise from agent Morrison. The vampires had turned to dust, but why did he still feel like he was being watched? Ethan glanced around, trying to peer into the shadows.

Agant Morrison seemed to notice and took an infrared camera from the backpack. It couldn't be used to hunt the cold vampires, but it was perfect for detecting warm-blooded creatures lurking in the shadows. He gave it to Ethan.

With the camera, Ethan circled around to check the surroundings.

Blissfully unaware of being watched, Benjamin talked to Mike until the movie started and then sat in silence in the darkness to enjoy what was being shown on the screen. His mind travelled to Ethan and Steph a few times, worrying about their safety, but the movie was a decent diversion and kept him entertained well enough.

Benjamin waited until the nurse had left. "That is why I'm here, I see things no-one else can. Ghosts, shadow creatures. I've always been able to see them. This is why I also believe Simon really did have auditory verbal hallucinations because I never saw anything talk to him." He pondered the remark about Ray for a moment. "Maybe Ray is only attuned to her own spirits, which enables her to see and hear them, but not other spirits. Not that I'm expert, but that would be my guess."
