Jack watched the Cubone, a large grin across his face. The Cubone was actually taking on trainers as though he were a challenger himself. The potential in this Pokemon seemed not only endless, but his posturing and style gave him the flair of a champion. It was already decided in Jack's mind: He was GOING to catch this Cubone.

Coming out towards the Cubone, he clapped his hands and reached for Squirtle's ball. "You've got a lot of style, Pokemon. With that in mind, should you choose to fight me, I will not hold back anything to try and capture you!" Jack declared, smiling at Cubone.

A light mist began to pick up across the ground, as Jack wandered east towards Beryllium Lake. The thick trees that hindered Jack's path thrived with chirping, as he continued to look around for any sign of visible Pokemon. Unfortunately, tracking the chirping was like chasing an echo, and so there was not a Pokemon in sight.

Soon, Jack had reached the edge of the trees, to find moonlight spilling over the lake. In the distance, he could make out the shadows of Swanna's sleeping on the surface of the water, but they were too far away and Jack was not looking forward to attracting a Horde of them. He walked across the edge of the lake until he heard the chirping in the trees grow louder. Jack wasn't sure if the night was playing tricks on him, or whether he was getting closer to finding Pokemon. He stood silent for a moment, drumming his fingers against his hip in thought. "If I continue to walk the edge of the lake, there is a good chance that I'll end up running into wild Pokemon hiding amongst the brush. The only downside is that I might very likely catch a Pokemon like Squirtle... I should probably head back and continue looking on the path" Jack surmised to himself, as he paced back towards the trees.

The offer to meet everyone was tempting. From when Jack entered Chromis, he had not thought about the possibility of travelling with other Pokemon trainers. Since Jack didn't have much experience as a Pokemon trainer yet, he never knew so many trainers would end up travelling together, even the two punks that they had just fought seemed to be close together. The color cube Jack was holding in between fingers began to spin faster in place, his fingers no longer continuing to solve the puzzle, but instead simply turning it at his leisure, almost as though he had stopped thinking at all.

A short pause was held, while Jack's thoughts continued. He had just finished his first battle, but his Squirtle only received a small amount of damage from fighting. What's more, although he had been running across route 9 all day, Jack wasn't really fatigued. If anything, watching his first battle ensue only made him more determined to find more Pokemon. Now that he had fought, he had the desire to catch his first Pokemon.

This thought made Jack turn on the spot. Almost forgetting there were other trainers behind him, he titled his head around, revealing a smile. "Thanks for the offer, Leo, but I can't stop here. Now that I have fought my first battle, I'm driven to keep moving forward, that means I have to leave you guys. It was very nice meeting you both, and an enormous pleasure to battle..." Jack continued, turning his head back, staring onwards towards the edge of the clearing. "Fighting with you has taught he a lot, Leo. I look forward to seeing all of you again, and take care in all of your travels".

And with that, Jack put the color cube back in his pocket and walked out of the clearing, now completely dead set on adding another Pokemon to his team.
I'll be honest, when someone says "scoundrel" I think more of the Han Solo type then someone who murdered their mentor and ally just because an evil object asked them to and felt no remorse afterwards.

This is the bigger problem I had with the character: It's a (formerly, still has religious ties)holy knight order. Darker backstory is one thing, remorseless murder is another.

That is fair. Even if the act is hidden behind a lie, it still means the Iron Rose knights now harbor somebody who has killed without remorse. It's shame because I cannot really change that factor, for I wrote him to have no quarrel throwing away the lives of the knights who took him in just to heighten his own position. He is clearly someone, at the time of if he were to started, who would do such a thing even if he hadn't killed the old knight.

I'm not going to be stubborn about the character. I wrote him in the purpose of being someone scorned among the other knights, even if he slowly learned to do what is right. Infact, even if I made a fresh character, they would probably be written with a similar background, just so their personality and goals would hold up. If he is unacceptable, then I won't chase the issue further.
<Snipped quote by Lord Szall>

Replace dark with Light, demon with spirit, and warlock with gentle mage understudy. To be fair, your character is more likely to appear as enemy than as proper character, and this is high fantasy.

Pardon my bluntness but today I'm not in the mood of mincing things. Also pardon my intrusion.

Even in high fantasy, the hero's allies can consist of a scoundrel, and that is exactly how I've written him to be. Avoiding any kind of dark backstory is the same as pretending there isn't anything dark in this world at all. What if the scoundrel, as a knight of the Kingdom, begins to see the error of his ways and aim to make amends for his past sins? I have left it open to interpretation, that doesn't automatically mean he is evil.
Oh, then that is not an entirely unsolvable issue. The demon is their as the dark master to which the warlock drew his dark magics, meaning his existence can be replaced with that of a dark spirit or false god.

@VitaVitaARWould you be able to suggest a suitable being?

As Jack spoke to answer Leo, he quickly pulled out his Pokedex and registered all of the fighting Pokemon that fought during that battle. "Actually, I'm from the Kalos region. There, Professor Sycamore let me choose one of the three starting Pokemon from the Kanto region." Jack replied, looking back up as he put away his Pokedex, instead swapping it out for his unsolved color cube. As he continued to lightly examine Leo for a moment, he began to spin the cube, as though his hands were independently trying to decode it. "Assuming from the way you are dressed, I imagine you must be from either here or Sinnoh. Since you guessed that I might possibly be from Kanto, I'm willing to bet that you aren't local... I hope that I am correct in my deduction?" Jack continued, smiling playfully at Leo.

Though it was also possible Leo was also from Kalos, as Jack knew that Flabebe were definitely native in his home region, he was willing to bet that Leo was definitely from Sinnoh. He continued to ponder, as his hands worked over the color cube, now glancing at the patient watcher of his and Leo's battle.
Good to know, then I hope this is acceptable. Forgive me if there is lack of details in the background, I had to shorten it for the sake of keeping it brief...

As Jack brought out his Pokeball to return Squirtle, he looked out towards the two fleeing trainers and sighed. Jack felt that Route 9 was open to all trainers, and if he was being honest, he felt that they were more than welcome to stay. He wanted to be able to congratulate their efforts during that battle, as Jack believed they fought very well together. Though, in saying that, he felt he was very lucky that Squirtle didn't receive too much damage...

That's when Jack remembered he wasn't the only one standing in the clearing. Quickly, Jack turned to his battle partner, as well as the onlooking Trainers and smiled widely, promptly introducing himself. "That was an awesome battle. I hope you didn't mind that I stepped into your feud when I did, but I had been looking forward to my first battle for some time. My name is Jack, by the way... Jack Schreiber." Jack said happily. As he looked towards Leo, he admired his ability to battle, feeling that he was far more experienced than himself.
Welcome to the Crypt

The Circle of Szall's Demonic Edgelords

So for those unfamiliar to me, the reason I was originally summoned to Roleplayerguild was to create the Edgiest character of all time, something so cringeworthy that those who Lorded themselves on being Edgy would feel sick to the stomach trying to read even the first sentence about them, the character.

Needless to say, I succeeded on my first attempt. Fortunately, it wasn't accepted. I can imagine he was writer's poison, and could have possibly brought about the death of an RP. I mean, really, when you have to take something so completely unrelatable SERIOUSLY, it just becomes painful. Though it did feel like a dreadful waste of a character, as I put a lot of time into making him written.... well?(Rather than making it unrelatable AND poorly written).

Nonetheless, I decided that I would commit myself to creating even more of his breed, and collect them here. Those who fail to get accepted into their RP's will die here, and for those who succeed will become immortal vampires, forever doomed to bring havoc to the World's they walk, only to be listed as coming back here to their circle of origin.

Without further ado, here is the Edgelord himself for your entertainment. You, the reader, are free to post your Edgiest Characters, from wherever they hail, to the crypt also. I will also attach links to the RP posts they come from, if you wish to have a look at them.
