As Rosalie picked up the instrument, she could fill her body fill with some sort of strange energy. It wasn't bad though. If anything, it empowered her, filling her with a sort of strength and confidence that suddenly made this very frightening situation seem far less dangerous than it should be. Just as well, Rosalie's clothes change from her school uniform to some sort of adventurous looking outfit. It looked a bit rustic, but in a fantasy way. Music began to pour out from Rosalie and she could feel ideas and inspiration flowing through her mind and through her hands. All the while, a strange puppet figure was floating around her. But instead of these faceless, uncanny puppets, this one seemed far more human. Rosalie could feel a protective energy from this one. And in her mind, she knew the name of this being: Reminiscence.
The other puppets began to scatter, fearful for their lives. But the elven executioner simply seemed miffed that Rosalie had dared step out of line, showing him up of all people! He draws a longsword from his belt and does a flip off the stage, brandishing his weapon menacingly at Rosalie. He was about thirty feet away from her when the spirit that was protecting Rosalie. She could fill her mind and body synchronize with the spirit, granting her knowledge and the ability to fight!
"You know the rules of nature! Only the strongest survive. If you wish to stop the vile darkness that haunts this place, you must be willing to stand up and fight it! Let us both strike back against this evil together. I am thou, thou art I. Let no wickedness escape our sight!"
Grabbing the hand crossbow, Julia can fill her courage grow even more so than usual. Knowledge of how to fight with this weapon, as well as use other esoteric abilities here, begin to fill her mind. Suddenly her school uniform changed into a suit of armor, and other weapons and equipment appeared on her body as well. It seemed like the very shadows began to bend around Julia and began to cover her in darkness, and yet despite this she had no issues seeing in this darkness despite her normal eyes. But what was even more of a surprise was the sight of another figure here. A hulking beast woman, who seemed to somehow balance herself perfectly still on a chandelier on the ceiling. But despite her intimidating stature, Julia would know this woman was a friend and here to help her: Komainu!
The butcher however did not care for Julia's sudden demands. He slashed his massive blade through the puppets, and they began to scatter to safety. He knocked over the table with his foot and began to rampage, ready to fight! Julia was about 30ft away from the butcher, but all of these puppets crowding around her would make it difficult for her to move. But just as well, the Butcher can't get to you without getting through the crowd, so maybe she can use them to her advantage. Regardless there was only one way forward, and it was to defeat this enemy!
"Don't ever forget this feeling. When they keep knocking you down again and again, trying to keep you down, remember this passion and don't ever let the flame die out. Time to show them that you're done being tread on! I am thou, thou art I. Let's show the world just what we can do!"
The burning feeling in Maxwell's back and hand began to spread throughout his body, making him burst into flames. But instead of feeling any pain or agony, this explosion was more like a sweet release. Raw power emanated from his body like a roaring flame, causing the puppets to flee from him and set random furniture on fire. Walking out from one of the burning rubble was a humanoid figure made of flame. he puts his hand on your shoulder and you could feel your clothes burn off and replaced by something a bit more rugged, yet flashy. Like some sort of dark mage. This person melts into the air around you, wreathing your body in a mirage of haze and smoke. Despite only knowing this person for a minute, you recognize his name: Impetus.
Despite most of the puppets cowering against the walls in fear, the puppets with the sword didn't seem to take you very seriously. That'll be their mistake. Four puppets approached Maxwell with rapiers drawn, taking on a sort of pompous duelist stance. Four against one wasn't in Maxwell's favor, but her could feel his anger take shape in his mind. Fury that can shape his emotions into power, into a weapon that can be used against his enemies. These puppets may soon realize that just because they outnumber him doesn't mean they can outgun him!
