The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

Emeth: Then I'll be that friend who's the opposite kind of annoying, whispering "Do it, you know you want to..."

Judging by the Internet's definitions of introversion and extraversion, you'd think everyone's either an extreme hermit or a party animal with no in between.

Bio

A frazzled British thirtysomething cat mum with something of a tea addiction.

I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.

Yay it's here!! Gonna stick with my ghost type trainer if that's ok, I like the ghost type, but haven't played a specialist yet for some reason.
Ugh, I've been really sick and busy lately. I had a bad cough/flu over the weekend, and wasn't allowed to take any sick days, so my posting is slow. Mostly recovered now, thankfully.
Reopened applications because we need more people.
Bumping because we've had a few dropouts, so two slots have opened up.

Astrid's hand flew to her mouth as the beasts turned on each other, piercing and tearing flesh. As much as they needed to be stopped, nobody deserved this, and she doubted the Pokemon were even at fault for the attack on Postwick. These thugs had to have done something to them, to make them so crazed. Just in time, though, an Icy Wind from Weiss stopped their would-be fight to the death.

Overwhelmed, the terrorists retreated in a matter of seconds. Exhaling heavily, Astrid turned to Hestia and shook her head. "I'm ok, but..." She pressed the buttons on two Pokeballs. One burst of light turned into Caelum, a Vikavolt who buzzed around as he took in the attack's aftermath. Another formed into a Magnezone, Pulsar, with several dents in their left side from where a Torracat's Flame Charge-strengthened claws had partially melted the steel many years ago. Living proof of how dangerous Pokemon could be in the wrong hands. "Both of you, there's been an attack, please search to see if any townspeople are hurt. Eclipse, join them."

With a respective buzz and beep of acknowledgement, Caelum and Pulsar took to the air, followed by Eclipse. Fingernails digging into her palms, Astrid hoped they'd find no casualties. Enough damage had been done. "What even were those creatures?" she muttered, wondering aloud rather than asking. "I've never seen anything like that outside of films and TV."

Zircon took to the air after Sky, towards the hole near the top of the huge tree. For her, the ascent wasn't too tough - living in the mountains meant she was used to scaling lofty heights. Landing just outside Mrs Greypetal's door, she bit the inside of her lip as Sky knocked, and waited for an answer. None came.

"What a perfect time for her to be out," Zircon muttered. It wasn't Mrs Greypetal's fault, she didn't know about any of this, but the timing still couldn't have been less convenient. After the second knock, Sky barged into the house, revealing it to indeed be empty. Picking up a note from the table, the prince read it out. A note addressed to visitors, supposedly explaining her absence.

Trepidation running through her anew, Zircon frowned. "Does she usually get visitors?" she asked Juniper. If Mrs Greypetal was a powerful, reputed fairy, it stood to reason that people would turn to her for advice and mentoring, and considering her age, she likely had multiple descendants. Even so, more sinister possibilities couldn't be ruled out. "Yeah. Probably best to look around, and ask if anyone's seen her."
Hey apologies for the delay, I have some time off work though, so should be able to have my CS finished soon.
