Hello there,

I've been forum RPing for about 13 years; got started on lavendereyes.net, which was a Forgotten Realms/Drizzt Do'Urden fansite, before moving to the old roleplayerguild.com! I've also dabbled in RPing in a few MMO's like Champions Online, SWTOR, and WoW but forum adventures are definitely my preference. I like just about any kind of RP in high-casual and advanced, based on whatever mood I'm feeling (typically high-fantasy, sci-fi, and/or certain fandoms). I love writing and do think of RPing as a way to develop my character and scene writing skills, which basically means I'm always looking for realistic and fluid ways for my characters to learn, grow, and develop over the course of an adventure. I don't ship my characters but do occasionally allow them to fall into a relationship, if they are naturally guided in that direction.

You can take a look at some of my saved characters here, if it interests you.

I also have a deviantart page, though I hardly ever update it.

Thanks for reading! I'm always up for a good chat.

Heyo,

Is this RP still accepting fresh blood?
He had seen the thick black pillars of smoke from the air, thousands of them dotted across the city that stretched to every horizon, and they painted a hellish picture of the once proud beacon of man's continued perseverance. It was a near perfect recreation of the video images he'd examined of the planet's previous annihilation, though at that time great covenant ships had hung in the air above with their menacing blue-burning engines and shimmering purple frames. Emmett-G355 had still been in training then, only weeks away from his graduation into the true ranks of the Spartans, and had only been deployed after the planet was glassed. He had been upset at the time, angered at the Covenant's relentless slaughter and his commander's decision not to send his company to Reach, but now as he gazed upon the ruined city he found that he felt... _... nothing_. His calls for landing clearance were never received, or rather they never got him a response, and after nearly an hour sitting in orbit he finally brought the landing cruiser down from the interplanetary transport whose autopilot had carried him back to reach. The crew was dead, the ship empty, as the Flood infection they'd discovered on Pharyx-9 had claimed them all and so now the ship hung silently in orbit like a gravestone. Emmett brought the cruiser down onto an empty platform at one of the UNSC's inner-city outposts and came out of the bay door with rifle at the ready but nothing appeared to welcome him. The halls of the office were in disarray, abandoned; the armory all but looted; and the Spartan passed by the overturned desks and pooled stains of red that had long dried into the carpet with nothing but a passing glance. Exiting the dark, empty halls Emmett's heavy boots crunched against broken glass as he stepped out onto the terrace, pulled the LxVII Thermal-Eye Binoculars off the magnetic strip on his waist, and looked down to the streets below. [i]10... 50... 100...[/i] The number of shambling, twisted figures rose quickly as he scanned down the block and realized the entire area was infested, the concentration being directly below him at the UNSC building's street entrance. "Shit..." He finally muttered aloud, breaking the silence that was enclosing him. >"PFC Bennewitz of Echo Outpost, Emergency Civil Defence, ID 2517D13. This is a NA class broadcast on a multiple secure channels. Requesting >backup to Miranda St. metro station maintenance room in the east bound tunnel. Squad is negative. Electromagnetic locks in place on door. >Password is Echo Zulu." Emmett's channel scanner finally picked up a signal coming over an emergency channel and his HUD displayed an estimated area from which it was being broadcast. It wasn't too far, half a dozen blocks, but he would have to find a way around the monsters below. There was a building next to his, one with several large windows and that stretched the majority of the street. If he could just find a way over there... A clatter from the office caused the Spartan to spin around, gun raised with finger on the trigger, and he spent a long moment staring into the darkness. Emmett would have to find a way across and fast. They were coming.
Name: Emmett-G355 Nickname: ‘Dingo' Gender: Male Age: 29 Appearance: Emmett stands roughly 6’4” and weighs 247lbs without his armor. He has a broad jawline, a crooked nose clearly broken too many times, and short curly black hair. His cheeks and chin are covered in a mess of thick, untrimmed stubble and his eyes are a soft blue-grey. With arms of thick muscle and an impeccable figure, it is clear that his body is well trained for combat and exertion. ![enter image description here](http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac245/LupusIntus/Roleplayer%20Guild/02ff10bb-c9a5-44b7-8a5c-044e3b612c92_zps8f89c20e.jpg "enter image title here") Type of Character: SPARTAN-III Rank: SPARTAN Armor/Clothing: MJOLNIR [GEN2] Armor ![enter image description here](http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac245/LupusIntus/Roleplayer%20Guild/740336f4-afa4-4ff8-92d4-1518919edabe_zps5b181856.png "enter image title here") Weapons: M395 Designated Marksman Rifle, 6 magazines (14 rounds each), rail-mounted telescopic x6 sight with night-vision capabilities. He is kind and cheerful and takes great care to protect those around him, whether they be brothers-in-arms or civilians. However, once in a combat situation much of these pleasantries disappear as Emmett displays a tactical cunning and ruthless combat efficiency that often surprises those who are not familiar with him. The battle augments he received during his induction into the SPARTAN Companies put Emmett at risk of losing control of his logic and personality, succumbing to a fierce instinctual bloodlust, without regular doses of anti-mutagenic drugs. Due to a psychological predisposition to emotional unavailability, Emmett requires a larger dose than most other SPARTANS from the same program and can thus quickly regress if the medication is not received. History: Born to unknown parents on one of the outer colonies of humanity, Emmett spent the early years of his life living on the street among the other vagrants and homeless. He was barely surviving when he was picked up at the age of six by a small group of pirate raiders to be trained as a sort of steward/cabin-boy on their ship. The pirates kept him fed but were quite brutal in their treatment of the boy, the most prominent example being once when he was caught attempting to free a captive trader whose ship had been plundered. After executing the man before the child’s eyes, the pirate captain used the still smoking barrel of a battle rifle to burn a mark into his cheek. After two years in captivity, the pirate ship was finally captured by military forces and while the captain and most of the crew were executed, Emmett was young enough to be sent to an inner world juvenile prison. It was there that the UNSC special programs directors found him, choosing him as a candidate for the newly implemented SPARTAN-III program. He was in the third group of children chosen for the program, after the first two companies, Alpha and Beta, were completely wiped out in Operation: PROMETHEUS and Operation: TORPEDO respectively. In Gamma Company he excelled in the hand-to-hand combat training as well as long-range accuracy training and so was eventually placed with one of the company’s scout squads. He served exceptionally for several years, earning a few small-time operation merits, and was often the first chosen (or the first volunteer) for missions scouting enemy positions, most of which involved a significant amount of danger. It was one of his squad mates, a man who'd been 'recruited' from Earth, who first coined him the name 'Dingo' when he remarked that Emmett's outwardly timid personality yet fierce fighting rage when cornered reminded him of one of the canine creatures he'd killed as a boy. After the war with the Covenant, the SPARTAN-III program was dissolved and Emmett was approached with the opportunity of continuing his service as a SPARTAN, defending humanity against all future threats. He readily agreed, knowing war and conflict was all he was made for. His missions continued and eventually Emmett found himself being called to accompany a UNSC squad to a remote mining colony that had sent a chilling, near unintelligible distress call a month previous before ceasing all communication. It had seemed somewhat routine at first, occasionally a colony's communication array would be damaged and their reports would come later than expected, but what his squad found on that lonely asteroid was far more than they were prepared to handle. The entire facility had been infected, the Flood having assimilated every last soul in the colony, and soon the squad was in full retreat with ammo stores running low. Though he fought tooth and nail to defend the marines, Emmett was the only one who made it back to the ship and soon found himself on a direct course back to Reach where all military personnel were being recalled.
I'm working on my intro post now!
Yup! It'll be post-by-post with each player following/responding to the posts previous (starting with the GM and usually following a very loose rotation). The RP will be posted in the 'IC' of this Thread (tab is near the top of the page).
> @LupusIntus > Spartan-IIs used the Navy ranks. Spartan-IIIs used Army ranks. Spartan-IVs use the Spartan Branch rank of Spartan. > > A Spartan-II or Spartan-III who joins the Spartan Branch is given the rank of Spartan. Gotcha, thanks. I believe my CS is complete.
There may be slight additions to the Equipment section for GM approval. > The character's pretty good, but you have a few lore errors that should be cleaned up. > To start off; Spartan II's and III"s don't know their last names. So, depending on what company your Spartan was in, they'd be either Julián-A###, Julián-B###, or Julián-G##. However, Alpha(A) and Beta(B) companies were both slaughtered in the field, except for a select few that were pulled out due to similarities to SPARTAN IIs. > Next, after the Human-Covenant War, all SPARTAN III personnel were offered the option to be integrated into the branch 'Spartan'. If the III's refused, they were given cushy desk jobs. So, that means, if your Spartan is still active, they would be wearing GEN 2 MJOLNIR, as opposed to SPI. Also, in said Spartan branch, the only two confirmed ranks are 'Spartan' and 'Spartan Commander'. > Hope that's not too much, for you. Anyhow, thank you for choosing this RP after six years of no RP! I'm happy to have you. Working on my SPARTAN submission right now but am probably missing a few details within the history, mostly time line related. Were SPARTANS chosen for the HEADHUNTER company decommissioned, or was that unknown? Also I noticed that many of the SPARTANS in the SPARTAN-III program had ranks like 'Petty Officer Third Class'; was that a ranking system specific to the SPARTAN III program?
I'd be interested. Would likely submit a Spartan or an ODST
I'm there! So is gonzo and lili and wolver.... lol.. :P
