Bio

Hello there,

I've been forum RPing for about 13 years; got started on lavendereyes.net, which was a Forgotten Realms/Drizzt Do'Urden fansite, before moving to the old roleplayerguild.com! I've also dabbled in RPing in a few MMO's like Champions Online, SWTOR, and WoW but forum adventures are definitely my preference. I like just about any kind of RP in high-casual and advanced, based on whatever mood I'm feeling (typically high-fantasy, sci-fi, and/or certain fandoms). I love writing and do think of RPing as a way to develop my character and scene writing skills, which basically means I'm always looking for realistic and fluid ways for my characters to learn, grow, and develop over the course of an adventure. I don't ship my characters but do occasionally allow them to fall into a relationship, if they are naturally guided in that direction.

You can take a look at some of my saved characters here, if it interests you.

I also have a deviantart page, though I hardly ever update it.

Thanks for reading! I'm always up for a good chat.

Good think KK's so short and can use one of these hulky gentlemen as a body shield!
Here's my character!

Well, I think I've just about caught up in the IC. Also...Lupus...Who da fuck talked shit about KK? She's made me smile, and that's fucking rare, so I gotta know who's legs I gotta break, and who's ribcage to shatter.

Some douchy kids. Was hoping they would show up later and be all like 'checkout the twerp from signal' and then I'd enjoy the trollololz while members of Beacon beat the snot out of them. Maybe in a cross-school tournament or competition...

FORESHADOWING!
Kalimay could see that her reaction annoyed Jacklyn just as it seemed to alarm those around her and her cheeks flared a bright pink at her sudden regression to the girl she had been only a few months before; the one she was desperately trying to forget. "I-I'm sorry!" She squeaked at her old classmate. "Y-y-It's not you! I just... remembered... something." Biting her lower lip, knowing it was a poor explanation, she offered a quick apologetic bow. "See you at the ceremony... Jacklyn." At this she fell back several strides and was immediately rejoined by Alistair and Sayuri; the former with a passive expression, asking how she was, and the later with a look of genuine concern. One hand rapidly waved them off while the other was occupied with spinning BRIK-Breaker in a faster, even tighter, circle. "I-It's nothing, thank you!" KK said with an apologetic smile. "Everything's fine! Wonderful! Peachy! I just didn't expect to see another classmate from Signal here... Though I guess that was silly of me..." At least not a classmate who would remember me...

They were fast approaching the entrance to the large auditorium and she pointed ahead to shift some attention away from her. "Let's get in there and find a seat!"
@Ollumhammersong: I think your CS is excellent! Great addition to the party.
@pyroman: Sounds great! Can't wait to see the CS.

@Azreal: Okay, Azreal, so we have a couple problems with your CS here. The first and foremost is the magic weapon you listed: we feel it is far too much for this RP and I don't think there's any way we could really allow it in the adventure. It's simply too powerful in all aspects and even 'toned down' I don't think we can accept it.
The mentor is great and the general backstory is sound but we would like to see things backed up a little bit and perhaps more focused on an ongoing training than on a 'he taught me things when I was six and then died'. It's also very unlikely that a six-year-old would have picked up so many advanced skills.
Might we suggest that Mr. Hobbs never died and has apprenticed you as an assassin, though perhaps you've only made your first kill recently (or are preparing too), and you two could be passing through the town, gathering information on a particular target in the area.

@Asuna: Space just opened up (gotta check on what roles are still open though)! GET ON IN HERE!

@Milkman: I think the CS looks really good! The only issue I can see is that you have a few too many villager skills listed (we'd like to see no more than 3). I think you could drop 'Attention to Detail' but that seems to be part of 'Photographic Memory', in my mind and maybe you could drop cooking? You could reasonably say she's just starting out learning how to cook, that she wants to learn how to cook, and hasn't quite developed the skill for it yet.

@Ollumhammersong: I'm omw out the door so I'll take a look at your CS in a bit!
I certainly don't mind. There are probably hundreds of schools in a city as big as Vale and it sounds like Signal is quite prestigious and private (being a school known for specifically training Hunters and Huntresses), which would likely mean its classes are rather small.

And I think 'Sanctum' is the other one you were thinking of, which I believe is outside of Vale...
For anyone who cares to know:
Kalimay, Tirren, Reya, Morella, Orion, Jacklyn, and Tarkus are all the characters who attended Signal Academy (according to their bios). They would likely be in the same graduating class (or close?), I'm guessing.

"Hello Tirren, Reya, Kalimay. I see you made it to Beacon too. Congratulations, I guess."

It took a moment for KK to spot the one who had spoken her name with such familiarity and when her large brown eyes fell on Jack it took her a longer moment to recognize her fellow classmate from Signal Academy. They had never spoken, at least not to an extent Kalimay could remember, but she was sure they had taken 'Weapon Crafting 101' together. Though Kalimay had been far more 'subdued' while attending Signal, or rather far more ostracized and forced perpetually to the lonely outskirts of school life, it wasn't all that amazing that Jack would know her name considering their small class sizes. The feeling of blissful hope did not last long, however, and her trail of thought suddenly brought forth a wave of memories of her time at that Academy: of the countless lunches spent eating alone, of the times when the more 'vocal' students managed to catch her in places where the teachers couldn't hear the things they'd say to her, and of the feeling of crushing emptiness that only seemed to fade while she practiced her weapon art in the school's training facility after hours.

The wide smile she'd been holding since boarding the Beacon airship broke and she withdrew into herself. Slipping the flail off her shoulder, her hand gripped the handle with slightly shaking fingers and started to spin it in a tight circle which she had no problem keeping away from the students crowded around her; it was a nervous habit she'd picked up since she'd managed to build the weapon. With her chin near her chest she glanced up to Jack with a small, polite smile. "Thanks... Congratulations to you too."

Personally, I think it'd make more sense to group up some of the people who've interacted in-game thus far (Most of characters in the game have, at one point or another, gravitated towards a few others, and if one were to trace those social circles, one could probably put teams fairly well that way. I'd check on it myself, but it leaving for school in twenty minutes.), because some of the teams seem a bit random.

While I have no problem with the teams Nefarious suggested (I think everyone has a very interesting character so far), I do agree completely with Krayzikk that it seemed like teams were forming themselves quite well with plenty of spaces for the less social characters to be pulled into.

Not a huge deal either way, it'll just take a bit more self-introduction and a repeat of a lot of 'getting to know you' kinda interactions with the new team.
