She didn't know what was worse, Zachary not backing down, or the archer near mirroring Alice's thoughts. Even his expression for a moment, those damn lifeless eyes, made her freeze up in place. Though the slew of emotions died down to fear and anger, the recon tried to keep calm, and keep her mouth shut. They won't listen to you. she kept thinking to herself. But she had to say something.
"Enough!!"
Alice shot up from her seat. "This is stupid!" She looked to the archer. "Zachary, you make a good point, but arguing isn't going to help! Hell, why are we still like this? Are we going to continue fighting among ourselves when Parker's freed, or when we finally get to face Davis?? Whatever happens, we have to be prepared for the worst, which means we have to work together whether we like it or not!" As she talked, her anger gave way to determination.
"Go ahead and ignore what I'm saying if you must, if you have a better reason than 'She's just some rambling maniac', but maybe I'm not as mad as you think of me to be! We have lives to avenge! And no matter what, we have to make sure it's off with his head, for their sake!" The recon took a moment to pause.
"Even if I'm not a 'hero', I'm done playing nice."
