Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.
That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. @LiegeLord "He wha-?!" Cecilia's voice caught in her throat as her cheeks flashed red, her right hand a few inches from her mouth. She wasn't expecting something like this, and least of all from Neric. But she was more embarrassed than angry, having not been in many situations like this. "W-well th-that's um..." she began to speak stammeringly before growing silent, not wanting to cause a scene. She hadn't considered what anyone would think of seeing her in a swimsuit, although she usually felt a little antsy whenever she did wear one. She rather subconsciously put her right hand over her left shoulder and her left hand to the right side of her waist for a few moments while she looked away. "Umm, it's nothing that special..." she muttered faintly before speaking up, her face away from James so he couldn't see just how flustered she was. "W-w-we should get in place to board a canoe. I'd like to be at the back... i-if that's okay," she stuttered out.
@LiegeLord Cecilia was able to catch James' faint grunts and a word or two, unclear on what could be the matter. She knew Neric was "in his head" in a manner of speaking, but that was only one possibility, however likely. "James?... Is something wrong?" she eventually asked after thinking about it further, a concerned face as she picked a life jacket her size and fitted her arms through it. "It's okay if you don't want to tell me, but... well, you seemed bothered by something back there," she said, fastening each latch on the front of her jacket one at a time. For a few seconds, she imagined a scenario where this jacket would be most useful, one involving raging rapids. The more she thought of it, the more anxious she would get. She hoped they could start soon, preferably before she psychs herself out.
@KatherinWinter@LiegeLord Cecilia curled her index finger over her chin, torn as to whether or not she should go change to her swimsuit or not. She definitely didn't want to get her normal clothes wet, but felt as though changing was a bit much for something that didn't necessarily involve swimming. She turned to James an Neric, still contemplating her decision for a second before speaking, feeling she might as well let them know. "I don't think I'll be changing my clothes. Not sure if I'll regret it later, but it might help motivate me to keep us above water," she said with a bit of a chuckle. You can change if you want, James. But if not, we can already get our life jackets."
@Darkmoon Angel Thanks. Unfortunately I can't say that I'm very familiar with the lore of the game beyond what you've given us, having not played it myself. But I'll come up with something within the next few days. :)
@Darkmoon Angel Hello. I wanted to look up the game in hopes of getting an idea of who I might want to create. When you referred to the possibility of making a "dragon" character, I couldn't help but think of making a kind of part dragon, part human individual. I looked up dragons for Brave Frontier and unsurprisingly it wasn't like that at all. But then I ran into an image of an NPC from the Fal Nerga Map: http://i.imgur.com/DIGXPHK.png I was kind of hoping that this fella might make a precedent to allow me to make a character of this sort. Of course, you have the final say and I will understand if you'd rather I reconsider this idea.
@LiegeLord Cecilia took Jame's statement that he liked her company to mean in a friendly way, but was very much delighted to hear him say so. She was close to saying 'me too', but didn't think that sounded right in context. "L-Likewise," she said instead, smiling widely at him. "I look forward to it." Cecilia hadn't given thought to James' abilities aside from just 'spawning' Neric and was pretty curious to see what else he could do. She was indeed fond of him and wouldn't at all mind hanging out, if not today then anytime.
