Current Despite what Joker 2 would have you believe, the REAL Joker works for Nintendo. Check mate, Batman!

Okay but like seriously though, let's not tell Nintendo about this... About what, you ask? Exactly!

Some games make you feel like a hero, and others make you feel like you're playing a tree in the school play.

Alright fine. I could have images for my projects hosted on-site, but you gotta promise me you won't go snooping in there. There might be spoilers, y'know?

Greetings visitor! I hope you're having a good day! Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.

That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course.

His words were touching and it showed to a large extent on her face how much she valued his sentiments. She felt like she could sit in that canoe with him for hours. But she had to admit to herself that it just wouldn't be right of them to idle anymore than they already had. "Stargazing, you're right..." She would think intently on his question. It wasn't so much that she forgot as much as it was that she had gotten the impression that something like that may not even be permitted. "I remember and I'd love to still go stargazing with you..." she started blithely before sounding less confident as she continued. "... But I'm unsure if we'll be allowed. The counselors mentioned before that we can't even go to each others cabins and especially not without their supervision." James could likely tell that she had really looked forward to it and the possibility that it may not happen clearly wasn't something she enjoyed contemplating. She wanted to hear what James had to say, but ultimately would be happy with whatever they ended up doing together.

Cecilia was at a loss for words for a few seconds, her blush persisting as she looked up at James after he had finished. She could feel her pulse quicken against her vest, her hand still against it. "James... Th-thank you... I-I was scared back there, but... what I was really afraid of was the thought that I let everyone down, especially you because..." she hesitated, shyly looking down. This was nearing what she was intending to say to him back when she saw him waiting by the cabin previously. She could never get the words right in her head and there was a chance she wouldn't fair any better now. But she resumed anyway, regaining eye contact with him and making sure to breathe in. "Ever since I've gotten to know you and especially after spending time with you, I've wanted to be the kind of person you could rely on. I was scared even before I came to this camp. It just took the accident for me to realize how much I truly was. But you were always there. You introduced me to Neric and were there for me ever since... I mean what I said, now more than ever. You two are just so amazing... and I... I want to be there for you, James," she spoke genuinely, smiling more freely after saying what she wanted to, almost everything anyway. She managed to maintained her composure too, which was always a plus. She looked over the side again, anxious over what James would say.
@LiegeLord
Cecilia didn't interrupt James, but chuckled when he did. There was something about his moments of levity that she found charmingly infectious. That and she never actually bothered, in all the time she was here, to really think of this camp as a sanctuary. But James could likely tell from her bright expression that she wholeheartedly agreed. He appeared to have more to say but paused, looking away before continuing. She wouldn't expect what he'd say next, her face flushing more so than ever before. "R-Really?... you think I'm amazing?..." she repeated aloud, looking away at the lake and her enclosed hand over her vest. "You really mean that?" she timidly followed up. There was no question that she would always be more than happy to help, especially when it came to encouraging James and Neric to open up more. But she'd be more inclined to call amazing (aside from James and Neric themselves) anyone whom they can rely on like he mentioned. Since the incident earlier, she didn't feel like one of those people they could depend on, even though she wanted to be more than anything.

Will do. :p
I feel that now that nearly everyone is pretty much traveling as one group under the GM's direction instead of one or so posts per character, things should settle down compared to how hectic the beginning of an RP tends to be. I even quit my hijinks and got on with it. So no one has to worry about me posting random stuff for the time being. I would suggest perhaps holding off on random encounters like the thugs for now. I believe things should settle down in the long run.
I'm likely not going to keep up, so I just left my guy at the church already.
Viranti

He wasn't the most discreet invader there ever was by a long way, but at this moment he was the happiest, doing away with the some of the last vestiges of his former incarceration and replacing them with articles belonging to his homeland. He was especially glad to wear his sleeveless, relatively ornate shirt. He felt one step closer to home.

The good feeling wouldn't last though, as he heard the sound of approaching footsteps coming from downstairs. His head darted for a trapdoor on the floor near him among the storage of apparel and materials. "Why, what on Grand- ack!" spoke the elderly bespectacled tailor as he began to open said door, which Viranti immediately slammed a box on top of. Having done what he came here to do and with no further delay, Viranti departed through the way he came in, retaking position on the roof, but finding the crowd that was once by the tavern, dispersing. Oddly enough, he noticed a trio of armed travelers were running in a rather panicked manner away from the tavern and next to the shop he himself was on.

Not wanting to let the opportunity slip, the dragonute pounced on one of them, picking him off the ground by the collar with his right hand as the others protested. "Hey! Let go, monster!" shouted the one in the dragon's grip, his associate to Viranti's right lifting his sword and spacing his legs into position. His stance and balance would be broken by Viranti's tail, which swiped his ankle and sent him to the stone-paved ground.

"What is this pla-! (growl)" Nevermind that for now... "Where is the Oracle!?" Viranti asked his temporary hostage impatiently but otherwise in a subtly good mood.

"Th-the Oracle of Lucius?! Aaaahhh!" the thug asked before getting the hint as the dragon used both hands to swing him around with enough force that his dangling legs swung around and effectively kicked his second comrade in the face, incapacitating him for a little longer. "Okay! Okay! Ugh... She left with a group of others! Sh-she said something about the church! That's all I know!"

"And what in all Dust is a church!?" Viranti roared, stomping his foot down in an intimidating fashion, getting ticked off at being led through more questions.

Now sufficiently scared out of his mind, the thug resorted to pointing a shaking finger at the church's general direction. "Thank you..." Viranti spoke as gratefully as he could, dropping the thug back down to his knees, he and his friends running with even more vigor than before, their assailant making his way for the church. He would arrive just several yards away from the place of worship, gazing bewilderingly at the odd, overly elaborate structure. Suppose this is the place...

"Really? That's good to hear," she said cheerfully. Either this was a truly good day for James, or the bar was set so amazingly low with everywhere else he's been that even a possibly mixed day like this was great by comparison. No matter the case, she was overjoyed that she could spend the day with him. Cecilia took a fair amount of personal pride in making it to the other side of the lake, although as she saw his face, she knew she could take all the credit. "Well no, I guess it kinda didn't for me either," she started, brushing a bit of her hair to the side and placing her oar on her lap also. "Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. But even if I did try and guess, I wouldn't have imagined anything quite like this, let alone all the amazing things I've seen," she reminisced fondly, despite everything.
I guess I have some catching up to do.
@LiegeLord
Cecilia blushed as well when he said he enjoyed spending time with her. It made her happy and actually a little excited for what lay ahead of them in the coming days. She noticed James slow his pace for her, she then easily coordinating her rows in response. Immediately, she could tell that the canoe was moving straight ahead once more. "Yes, yes it is. Thank you James," she said graciously, taking a moment to tug at her vest near her collar to let some hot air out. It was summer after all. She stole a moment or two to look behind her, seeing everyone do their best with their respective canoes. What stuck out to her was a pair of watery claws that appeared to hold the boat down for Kyle. As remarkable as it was, Cecilia knew she couldn't afford distractions at the moment and so resumed looking ahead. "James, did you imagine before coming here that your first day would be like this?" she asked curiously, feeling confident enough that she could afford a conversation and hoping James wouldn't mind the question.
