Okay but like seriously though, let's not tell Nintendo about this... About what, you ask? Exactly!

Some games make you feel like a hero, and others make you feel like you're playing a tree in the school play.

Alright fine. I could have images for my projects hosted on-site, but you gotta promise me you won't go snooping in there. There might be spoilers, y'know?

Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.
That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
@LiegeLord Sitting next to James and joining him in petting the shrouded cat between them, Cecilia could sense that James was having a bit of fun with her, but she couldn't help bu feel more than a little self conscious about being late and so forth. "I-I didn't think I was that late. I had to leave some things at my cabin and...! -oh forget it" Cecilia came to fully realize how flustered she was getting and just turned her head towards the pit, letting out a slight whine, her face minutely red and frustrated. She knew it was all in good fun however, and tried to think of something to talk about. "They said that the activity will have something to do with outdoor survival or something like that. I've forgotten if you've mentioned it or not, but do you have much experience camping in the wilderness, James?" she curiously asked, looking to him again, a trace of a smirk again. She didn't want to assume anything, but even if James hadn't the experience, there was also a chance Neric did.
@Crimmy Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably decide on what to do later on.
Another option I have is focusing on another character entirely, but we'll see.
For now, I do have the images of her and her weapon. They may not match perfectly, but I doubt such a thing is possible when dealing with two separate pictures. Just in case it plays a factor at all.
She could even be a secondary character elsewhere as a plan B.
Right, I kind of went with my own character idea instead of considering any team-wide considerations. Hmm... well I was thinking of her name being "Sile Tacca"(S), her last name especially being a reference to certain types of plants, such as the white bat flower for having both white and darker colors.
I like the ideas, so I am gravitating towards joining either ASHE or SFYR. But I suppose I don't have anything down in stone yet, so I would like to hear from anyone on how to proceed.
I'd say I'm pretty interested. I've recently started watching RWBY myself and am progressing at a good pace through the third season. I'm far from familiar with all there is to know as far as lore (I am quite grateful for the mention of the Color Naming Rule, to be honest), but if you'd bear with me, I'd be more than happy to think of a character.
Oh? Well I was kinda under the assumption that once the group as a whole was passed the watchtower, the mission/arc/chapter(?) would be completed and the party would go their separate ways for the time being or even indefinitely as the case would likely be. But the important thing would be that Athel would be free to go on to the next stage sooner rather than later. Lately, I've been thinking that it would have been best if the current stage be completed and your workload lightened as soon as possible, know what I mean?
On the other hand, now that I'm looking back, if I had Varen volunteer to stay behind and get his butt murdered, there's a chance you'd have everyone try and save him anyway. Xp Okay, so maybe this kind of thing should have been discussed OOC beforehand...
Anyway, I guess I'm up for whatever you want to do at this point. I am willing to try and control a character or two to take some pressure off, but the choice is yours ultimately. I'll accept your decision either way. Would it help if I said "no pressure"? XD
Cecilia heard the announcement upon exiting the cafeteria, being one of the last campers to do so. Tardiness was a concern for her, yet from the sound of it, it might have been best if she left all unnecessary items at her cabin, handbag included. Surviving in the outdoors? Do they mean starting campfires and things like that?... That might have been very helpful to know yesterday, actually. she mused, thinking fondly back to after the canoeing. She couldn't be sure what they would do, the counselors likely intending to keep it a surprise until everyone had assembled.
@LiegeLord Dropping off what she could at her cabin, Cecilia stopped just a few yards from the deck, a minute glare causing her pause. She sensed it was coming from the distant treeline, but try as she could, she couldn't determine its source, there being no sign of it. Deciding it was just some shiny object collected by a bird for its nest or something, and not wanting to keep everyone waiting, Cecilia resumed walking, reaching the fairly crowded fire pit. She probably wouldn't have found James or Neric if not for the telltale traces of the Void's smoke, not a crystal clear giveaway, but it was enough for her. "Hey guys, you wouldn't have happened to save me a seat again, have you?" she greeted, smiling between the two of them.
Hello. Sorry to bother ya. I'm not going to again after this, I promise. :)
It's fine if you don't feel like continuing. I probably should have insisted Varen sacrifice himself and maybe by now you could have gotten more people involved with this. Hindsight, am I right?
Anyway, I'd prefer it if you didn't just continue this if you'd rather turn you attention to other RPs. That's how games turn into jobs, you know?
I hope you have better luck with your other RPs. :)
Viranti looked over to the party's healer and gunner, a perplexed look on his face. There was an odd smell from their direction, the initial reason for turning his head in the first place. The source was mostly from the inordinate amount of alcohol they had consumed, not that the former desert dweller had the slightest clue. But by the looks of them, the pointy-eared being looked a lot like a subordinate or even servant to his strange-hatted master. Although servitude needn't be the case, he was inclined to believe it so, given the boy's demeanor. Besides, he wouldn't put it past non-draconic cultures to support some kind of slavery, indentured or otherwise. Unsurprisingly, bondage of any kind didn't sit well with him, but he wasn't about to interfere with other people's affairs. Those days looked to be long over.
He returned his attention to the "gate", huffing in subtle impatience when it became clear that the Oracle was waiting for everyone to be ready before answering much of anything, making his own inquiry kind of pointless. He may be a simple brute in the eyes of everyone here, but he knew a trend when he saw one. So, in order to not be bored to death, Viranti, upon taking notice of the ironclad tower of a man (Malkai), decided to let his curiosity get the better of him and he walked over to the orc, sizing him up from about two yards away. Viranti's arms were crossed, not about let his guard down in front of such a formidable-looking warrior. Additionally, given yesterday's events, he couldn't be sure that anyone wouldn't just attack him out of the blue - this world was weird like that. "Hmm... You don't seem at all like any being I've ever seen before. I'm curious as to what manner of creature you are," a fairly neutral query as to Malkai's race. The dragonute had little idea what to realistically expect. If he was going to be attacked, it probably would have happened by now.
@LiegeLord Cecilia gathered both their trays, placing all their dishes on one of the receptacles with the other tray underneath. "Sure thing," she gladly nodded when she looked up at James. She was happy that James wasn't pushing her into a potentially embarrassing situation right away. But at the same time, she wondered if part of him thought she was making a flimsy excuse to back out or even not to be around him. She hoped that wasn't the case, the latter reason not being the case at all, but she wouldn't be able to shake the feeling until she meets up with him again. After dropping off their dishes at the kitchen at an adjacent room, Cecilia searched for the lavatory, reaching into her simple, small handbag and picked out a plastic bag containing her toothbrush and toothpaste once she found said room, opening and closing the door behind her.
Dose antone need more time for breakfast? Is there anything specific anyone wants to do?
I don't have anything specific in mind, but I am pretty much finished with breakfast and ready for anything. I can have Cecilia join everyone else very easily. I'll see my way to posting something after I get some sleep.
