The only thing I love more than the protracted development of passion projects, is NOT getting other people's money involved.

Despite what Joker 2 would have you believe, the REAL Joker works for Nintendo. Check mate, Batman!

Okay but like seriously though, let's not tell Nintendo about this... About what, you ask? Exactly!

Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.
That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
@deerling The relative coolness of the workshop carried a pleasant contrast to the outside, something that boosted Cecilia's optimism about the next hour or so. "Oh? Hmm... If I remember what the counselor's said, this is an activity to help us get to know each other better," Cecilia mentioned as a friendly reminder, though she hoped she wasn't missing anything. "It's like: each of us makes some artwork that in some way relates to the other person, or something like that. Does that make sense?" Cecilia asked sincerely. Either way, she guided Ivory to a station that likely had two chairs on either side, inviting her partner to sit down. But if Ivory wanted to get some supplies that weren't on their station, she was welcome to pick whatever she needed from another part of the room; the camp would have provided just about anything they needed. "Roses and animals? Wow, that's cool. You know, I had a feeling you were an artist of some kind," she commented with a light giggle. "I don't think the activity is that strict, so you can really let your imagination fly with this."
@KatherinWinter deerling may need a bit more time still. If they do not return tomorrow, I'll at least alter my post so it says they're heading to the "workshop" place to get started on the art project, to help speed things along.
@Darkmoon Angel Viranti wasn't as quick to dismiss the monarch's question as even she herself ultimately appeared to. The others' responses were just about what he'd expect, though they did leave him wondering about his own answer. It was true that he didn't feel a greater sense of duty in preserving the world(s). "Not going down without a fight" did hold more sway over him, and self preservation was pretty fair as far as motives went. However, none of that really came to mind when he agreed to join this "quest". In fact, he hardly questioned the validity of the Oracle's story all this time. Imprisoned all those years and then presented with a guiding voice however fleeting and then exposed to new worlds and wonders he couldn't explain, of course he would have went along with whatever the voice said, albeit for his own admittedly selfish reasons. Believing in the voice of Lucius would be another matter, one that felt a long ways off.
Arms still crossed, the dragon silently pondered these things, and how no one questioned him further. Apparently, his own reply was pretty much what everyone expected as well. He noticed Michele looking at him while expressing her doubts as to their, or rather his, qualification as a hero. He of course glared back, though he didn't do more than that. He rose from his seat, properly ready to get this leg of the journey over with when the guard burst in among them and relayed the news, one of the threats to the kingdom he presumed. One more delay, he thought, a small, excited smirk on his face. "Sounds like pitiful excuses for assassins to me," Viranti joked to himself as Malkai and Elise moved ahead to face the mob. "Today looks to be your lucky day, queen. Just make sure your people stay out of my way." he happily ordered, making sure to send a glance Michele's way before turning to run outside, sword in hand.
@deerling Cecilia's face brightened, a wave of excitement coming over her. "That'd be...!" She exclaimed, a fair bit louder than Ivory before she stopped herself again, not wanting to come off as overly enthusiastic and make her feel uncomfortable. "I mean: that would be nice. Thanks... You know, I don't think I've seen you around before today. I'm guessing you're new to camp?" she asked, quietly hoping Ivory wouldn't mind the question. The activity involved getting to know her partner and translating that into artwork involving them, so she hoped she wouldn't mind a few questions here and there. Walking alongside her new partner, Cecilia followed the others into a kind of workshop, wherein tables and stations offering various manner of tools and materials for the campers to work with were available.
@deerling Cecilia felt a tinge of guilt for startling her, but smiled again when Ivory introduced herself. "'Ivory'... That's a really nice name," she complimented before immediately remembering to mind her manners. "Oh, s-sorry for surprising you like that. Would you mind if I be your partner then? I'm not much of an artist, but I'll try my best."
@KatherinWinter I suppose since deerling and fandoman were originally paired off and now they're gone, it kind of balances out. I'll get ready so we can move on when I get the chance.
@KatherinWinter It seems deerling still hasn't shown up. Now I can wait a tad longer if you want, but I personally think it would cut back on delays if I or you reassign Cecilia a partner. deerling can reintegrate back into the RP when and if they return. Thanks.
