Okay but like seriously though, let's not tell Nintendo about this... About what, you ask? Exactly!

Some games make you feel like a hero, and others make you feel like you're playing a tree in the school play.

Alright fine. I could have images for my projects hosted on-site, but you gotta promise me you won't go snooping in there. There might be spoilers, y'know?

Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.
That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
@deerling With the first page done, Cecilia had gone on to lower the next note over the one she had finished, and in a matter of minutes a picture very much like the first took shape, but with minute changes. Cecilia looked up from her work upon hearing Ivory erase her work. She wasn't sure if it was to start over or to aid in a final draft, but didn't want to make her uncomfortable by looking at her artwork before it was finished and resumed to her next pages in the flip-book. Whatever Ivory was working on, it felt like it was going to be a lot better than her own little trinket of a project. She wouldn't notice when she had finished, believing she was still working when by the time she reached the final pages of the sticky-notes. "Sorry for being so quiet. I wasn't sure what to talk about and didn't know if you needed to concentrate or..." Cecilia grew silent for a second. "I guess you already know what I'm working on, huh? I thought it would be fun to try out, but it's taking me longer than I thought."
@deerling "Alright," Cecilia nodded and sat down while Ivory retrieved the sticky-notes, taking the time to remind herself how to go about this. It was a simple and kinda silly little piece she had in mind, but she hoped that she'd like it nonetheless. Ivory soon arrived, handing her a pack featuring multiple vibrant hues, a rainbow on every page. "Wow, I actually hadn't noticed these. Thanks Iv-um, Ivory," Cecilia said, about to attempt a friendly nickname of her own, but then running into a problem. It was kinda embarrassing and her head lowered to observe her medium. She ran her thumb through the "pages"; it would do nicely. She looked up to gratefully and timidly accept the pen and pencil. "Oh? Th-Thanks..." She got right to work on the last note of the pack, the first step. It would have been hard for Ivory to peek and see what Cecilia was up to. First, along the edges of the page were plant-life and other signs that the scene was set in a lush forest; not overwhelming but enough to get the point across. There were leaves here and there at the foreground for some sense of perspective, although she would debate on how "big" they should be. But at the middle of the note would be an illustration of a cute girl in a nice dress and, of course, a flower band. Cecilia looked very meticulous with her drawing, and despite the small space she had to work with, the picture itself was more detailed and ambitious than most people's first attempt at this kind of thing.
@deerling "Awww, bunnies are so cute!" Cecilia announced with a giddy smile. "I've seen a few now and again, but they always run away before I get too close." Ivory seemed to have an idea of what she'll be doing already, her generous offer prompting Cecilia to quickly scramble to think of something. "Y-Yeah well I've never had the opportunity to do much beyond sketches and drawings... But I guess there is one thing I wanted to try. I really shouldn't play safe with this... um, I spotted some packs of sticky-notes on a table when we came in. Can you get me one for me please? I-I can get anything for you while you're doing that, if you want."
@deerling Cecilia gave Ivory's question some thought, quite audible thought, before answering. "Hmmm... Well I've traveled around a lot, and I just love seeing new places and trying new things, well, some things more than others," she said, before getting side tracked with an inquiry of her own. "I'm sorry if it goes without saying, but I take it you really like nature and things like that. Am I right?" she smiled, finding it easy to talk with her.
@deerling Neat. I gotta take care of some things, just a heads up. But I'll definitely get back to you when I get the chance. Enjoy your stay with the guild. :D
@deerling I can understand that. The "artist" title under you name leads me to think you're knee deep in a project or two. But it's good of you to come back. The least I could do is have a post ready for you when you stop by. :)
@deerling The relative coolness of the workshop carried a pleasant contrast to the outside, something that boosted Cecilia's optimism about the next hour or so. "Oh? Hmm... If I remember what the counselor's said, this is an activity to help us get to know each other better," Cecilia mentioned as a friendly reminder, though she hoped she wasn't missing anything. "It's like: each of us makes some artwork that in some way relates to the other person, or something like that. Does that make sense?" Cecilia asked sincerely. Either way, she guided Ivory to a station that likely had two chairs on either side, inviting her partner to sit down. But if Ivory wanted to get some supplies that weren't on their station, she was welcome to pick whatever she needed from another part of the room; the camp would have provided just about anything they needed. "Roses and animals? Wow, that's cool. You know, I had a feeling you were an artist of some kind," she commented with a light giggle. "I don't think the activity is that strict, so you can really let your imagination fly with this."
@KatherinWinter deerling may need a bit more time still. If they do not return tomorrow, I'll at least alter my post so it says they're heading to the "workshop" place to get started on the art project, to help speed things along.
@Darkmoon Angel Viranti wasn't as quick to dismiss the monarch's question as even she herself ultimately appeared to. The others' responses were just about what he'd expect, though they did leave him wondering about his own answer. It was true that he didn't feel a greater sense of duty in preserving the world(s). "Not going down without a fight" did hold more sway over him, and self preservation was pretty fair as far as motives went. However, none of that really came to mind when he agreed to join this "quest". In fact, he hardly questioned the validity of the Oracle's story all this time. Imprisoned all those years and then presented with a guiding voice however fleeting and then exposed to new worlds and wonders he couldn't explain, of course he would have went along with whatever the voice said, albeit for his own admittedly selfish reasons. Believing in the voice of Lucius would be another matter, one that felt a long ways off.
Arms still crossed, the dragon silently pondered these things, and how no one questioned him further. Apparently, his own reply was pretty much what everyone expected as well. He noticed Michele looking at him while expressing her doubts as to their, or rather his, qualification as a hero. He of course glared back, though he didn't do more than that. He rose from his seat, properly ready to get this leg of the journey over with when the guard burst in among them and relayed the news, one of the threats to the kingdom he presumed. One more delay, he thought, a small, excited smirk on his face. "Sounds like pitiful excuses for assassins to me," Viranti joked to himself as Malkai and Elise moved ahead to face the mob. "Today looks to be your lucky day, queen. Just make sure your people stay out of my way." he happily ordered, making sure to send a glance Michele's way before turning to run outside, sword in hand.
