Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.
That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. “A-Am I having trouble?... Well, this isn’t what I’m used to. But I’ll manage.”
Personal Information Name: Orta Species: Whimsicott Gender: Male Age: 19 Home Town: TBD Favored Legend: Giratina Appearance:
Height - 5’7 Weight - 129 lbs Orta’s prefered clothing is light, airy, and gives him a reasonable amount of freedom of movement. He often seems lost in thought, perhaps out of place, but nevertheless carries himself with a distinct sense of decorum whenever possible.
Personality:
Determined yet quite demure, Orta can come across as remarkably unsuited to a life of travel. Coming from a rather peaceful and carefree upbringing, it is not uncommon to find him at odds with the conflict, relative strangeness and general unpredictability involved with the occupation he’s found himself in. Such stimulation and uncertainty may cause him to draw back within himself and even some situations outside of his comfort zone may see him hesitate. Yet more often than not, he will try and hide his reluctance, his success in doing so varying significantly.
Orta may very well be considered a glass half empty sort of individual, tending to worry more than his fair share. Even so, he strives to be helpful and will push himself if it means someone else, usually someone he considers a friend or innocent, benefits. He harbors a distaste for violence, and should a novel or unorthodox solution not occur to him in time, he would much rather run from or escape a situation before resorting to such extreme measures. Wary to open up to anyone very easily, there is an inner spark of determination that drives him to continue his journey and assist as many as possible until he reaches its end.
Biography:
Born into a windswept hill range of brisk currents and beauteous scenery, the young Orta was in want of nothing, content to spend his days in the serenity afforded to him from his service under the customs of his tribe. Groomed from an early age for special responsibilities as one of the servants primarily in charge of guarding his people’s relics, the young man came to know little of life beyond his duties, the land he’d grown up in and the legends that had been passed down from generation to generation. Lands and experiences unlike his own did fascinate him to an extent when he was a child, but he never dared to venture too far from his home.
That changed when Orta had met an adventuring Zangoose named Felicity who had stumbled onto his village. It so happened that she was in the middle of her latest and greatest journey, and it was on that day that she decided to set up base in the area, dropping by the village every so often for supplies and even running into the young Whimsicott at times when he wasn’t busy. Truthfully, Orta found the allure towards adventure that he had as a child would rekindle in her presence, particularly after he had convinced her to share some tales of her previous exciting ventures and soon she’d eventually share details about this latest quest she was on, the reason she was here.
Felicity had knowledge a mysterious cave, one that Orta could confirm that hardly anyone in his tribe knew even existed. The boy’s interest in helping her find it was fairly obvious, but it was her encouragement that spurred him to risk his relationship with his people and accompany her in search of this cave. The matter was met with no small amount of anxiety on his part, but somehow found their quest to be one of the best experiences of his life.
Finding the cave was a momentous event in itself, but nothing could compare with the otherworldly formations of brilliant crystals inside, the reflective minerals lining nearly every inch of the fantastic cavern, an eerily intense presence felt among the myriads of crystalline constructs, having a direct path to a massive open space with an even more radiant lake at its center.
It was then that Orta witness a sight he would not forget, the emergence of a legendary being of tremendous power, one that did not take kindly to their intrusion and sought to take them into the alternate realm it called home. With the cave system crumbling under the might of its power, the two explorers sought to escape the way they came, lest they be trapped by the collapsing hollow. Yet just before they made it outside, Felicity lingered. And when Orta tried to urge her to move, she shoved him passed the cave entrance, just as it collapsed, sealing her inside. Hours passed as the boy clawed away the rocks and crystals, opening the cave enough to enter, but finding no signs of either Felicity nor the cavern’s apparent guardian.
It wasn’t until his disgraceful return to his village that the elders revealed to him the identity of the entity involved, Giratina, a powerful denizen of another world and traveller perhaps of worlds beyond. Unfortunately, for his erroneous transgressions, Orta was banished from his village, afforded only a few things prior to leaving and not being allowed to ever return. But in losing everything, he determined only one purpose in his life, to find Felicity, and bring her back to this world. For this quest, it felt only natural to track down the legendary being responsible.

Name: Ethereal Ascension Z-Pose: Fairy-Type Breakdown: Effective in a ground-based circular area of about ten meters in diameter, the center of which can be set from a range of about fifteen meters from Orta. Once the area of effect is established, any enemy caught within, no matter the elevation, will fall victim to a dazzling energy discharge that will see them lifted and helplessly floating two meters above where they were, defenseless as rising beams of light energy strike from underneath for repeated moderate damage over the next turn. The beams of energy will accumulate together into a large spherical mass that will then be controlled by Orta and directed to another party member. Whoever comes in contact with the orb will see the energy envelope them, drastically boosting all of their stats for the next few turns.

Edmond had since left his chair, not at all amused when it became apparent to him that he was still stuck where he was and not back at the bus. He was very much oblivious to the unintended manifestation to his power, his backpack more or less raising from the ground and seeming to levitate for a moment before the light slowly folded around it, camouflaging it as well. The boy winced a little at hearing the commotion at the front of the room, but he was too caught up with his dream theory to bother. For all he knew, everything including them and this entire world were just a figment of his unconscious mind. Pondering on this, the thick darkness around the edges of the room started to gradually hold less and less sway over him, and he steadily moved near the back corner; he believed it time to investigate this dimly lit room. By the time the plush guide called on everyone to return to the chairs and listen, Ed had already visably materialized and felt around the nook, even knocking the walls with hi ear against the surface in expectation of an audible or otherwise tangible irregularity. Needless to say, he took exception to the possessed plushie's choice of words. "Hmph! I was not crying..." he pouted quietly, pacing back to his seat, if only to get whatever it wanted over with. In short, if Ed didn't trust anyone who opens an explanation with refusal to delve into specifics on the grounds of doubt that he'd understand, he'd most certainly mistrust such individuals from now onward. From his folded arms and furrowed brow in the toy's direction, his wary skepticism couldn't be mistaken.
I guess the best case scenario entails how he's knee-deep in crafting more details for the RP proper (amidst some IRL matters). Regardless, we can all agree that the occasional update and assurance of progress in the wake of considerable player interest can go miles towards sustaining that interest.
Just to let anyone who happens by this know, my interest waned. So you don't have to mention me if this finally does take off. Good day. :)
I'm looking for partners willing to work with me and possibly take the lead in a story.
Please PM me if interested
║Preface║
When I say "take the lead in a story", I'm not completely dismissing myself from providing at least a reasonable amount of world building due the character(s) I'll be playing as, but of course I would prefer that whatever I bring to the project to supplement a plot and world largely of your own making; my level of involvement can of course be negotiated over, and I would advise that we do so prior to starting. Even depending on how we feel at the start or as the RP progresses, I may be incited/convinced to increase what I'm responsible for, to a point naturally. Please keep these things in mind when contacting me.
║Prerequisites and Expectations║
Age Restriction It certainly won't hurt your chances if you're 18 years or older. I generally keep things fairly mild, but not being restricted in what I can write is always a preference. If you are in fact a minor, then you should say as much when contacting me.
Pairing and Romance My preference is MxF when it comes to anything involving romance, but I'm capable of playing either role and even multiple side characters.* Additionally, while I'm not opposed to romance coming into play in RPs where courtship isn't necessarily the focus, it should be implemented naturally into the story.
Maturity and Subject Matter Violence, language and some suggestive themes are among what's permissible for the most part on a basic level, and can vary in drgree depending on setting and plot. But I personally won't push for overtly erotic material. If it ever comes down to it, "Fading to Black" is my first choice (especially keeping in mind the point below), but the matter is up for discussion if you feel so inclined.
Average Response Rate I'm capable of writing at least around 2-3 paragraphs every week (Approx. 1K - 2K chars per post). Output may vary at times, but that's the benchmark you should feel comfortable falling back on.
Stance on Ghosting Admitting disinterest or loss of circumstance to continue can be difficult at times, so I'm attempting a new practice wherein essentially after 28 days without a response from you, the RP will close indefinitely. A heads up well beforehand will be appreciated of course.
With this in mind, both of our main characters can be the same gender, and if romance ever comes into play, it will be hetero pairings involving side characters, which I'm personally willing to provide for you if it comes to that.
Thank you for coming this far.
Character Showcase
This is an experimental arrangement that I've considered doing for a while now. I tended to be the sort that based their interest in an RP on the character concept they could potentially develop, so this can be seen as one potential application of that mindset. Below is a periodically (possibly) expanding selection of premade characters assigned under their respective genres among other pertinent information. If you're interested in playing with a certain character and willing to accommodate them, please message me with your choice along with at least a basic pitch concerning your setting and plot ideas. We will discuss from there.
At peak physical condition, a fact potentially told at a glance, especially with attire similar to what's shown here. Far from haughtiness or excessive pride, his countenance carries his prevailing confidence behind it.
Just to get ahead of it now: no, romance isn't at the top of my list for this guy. Am I expecting him to catch at least as many eyes as would end up rolling? Sure thing. But if nothing else, I'd want to play my part in a story, however short, with a nice amount of action and adventure. To that end, and I know that this might sound like a turn off for many reading this, but I may end up giving special consideration to scenarios that don't involve the typical Royalty x Knight/Guard pairing. And in case you also see him fitting into a pre-established world out there, then by all means propose that (keeping in mind that I may or may not be familiar with it). I'm eager to hear what you come up with.

Roughly 3 inches tall (Short among his peers). Thin but with small amount of muscle, he tends to wear soft, spacious fabrics including a manner of silken cape that he uses as a scarf.
Admittedly, I haven’t gotten into the books as I probably should have. I’m afraid I’m more intrigued by the idea, the story of miniature people dwelling or finding shelter in places otherwise unnoticed by humans, thriving off the fringes of a civilization on one of the smallest scales imaginable. That being said, while I am fond of Rolo, it's possible for me to be talked into designating him as just a side character of note. This is just in case you happen to be eager for a Borrower x Human dynamic, with you being playing the part of the former. Let me know what you'd prefer.
A wholly manufactured body right down to her cybernetic brain, one that holds sturdy despite a great deal of wear over the course of years in conflict.
The tags I mentioned kinda speaks for themselves for the most part, but I can't say I have something definite in mind. Even so, games like the main line of Mega Man spinoffs are what mainly founds my interest in playing as a battle robot. Not to say that I'm only interested in a similar setting, though I will say that I am looking for a reasonably dark tone to write under.
Typically wearing her iconic tank top, baggy cargo pants and... what have you. (I personally like this pic, but if you actually have a reasonable alternative you like more, then toss it my way. I may yet consider using it.)
So it has been an amazingly long time since I've played the game, but this was an idea I had for a long while. Previously I gravitated towards playing Quote in search of someone to play Curly, and if you want that arrangement go ahead and tell me. But for now I'm fine playing as her and you're free to either play as Quote or even someone else.
Back in the day, I had my heart set on a story set after the main events of the game (best ending), which would naturally involve both robots getting themselves knee-deep in another adventure. That said, you're free to offer new idea of your own. I won't even necessarily say no to some kind of Smash Bros.-like crossover event if you sell it to me enough. I'm all ears.
Edmond could scarcely believe his eyes as he beheld their interactions with the entity, notably Carson's hostility towards it, which invoked a rather unsettling response in return. Whatever threatened and unnerved sensation came over the boy, was nevertheless secondary to just how utterly ludicrous this all seemed to him, so ludicrous in fact, that whether or not he was kidnapped was becoming less of a concern of his. This might have been for the best, as he wasn't inclined to trust the possessed plush toy. Even the thought of him, let alone the several of them, being chosen out of all mankind for some kind of game was downright absurd. "This... none of this can be real... am I still asleep?" Ed spoke in quiet incredulity. Backing away from the teacher's desk, he began to seriously consider that he was dreaming, figuring he must have fallen asleep while on the bus. Easy as it was to assume that was what happened, his memory was actually fairly cloudy.
Scrutinizing the room around him, the boy would approach one of the chairs, lowering to his knees to run his hand along it. If he was honest, the tangibly hard surface of the seat was less than encouraging, not to mention he could swear to picking up some dust here and there. Unfortunately, the mounting evidence to the contrary didn't extinguish his poorly considered theory before he decided that maybe he could simply will himself awake. Placing his backpack at his side, Edmond sat down and closed his eyes to concentrate, hands over his knees. After what felt to him like a minute, his eyes would open to reveal a faint glow about them. "Wha-What is happening? A-Am I waking up?..." he uttered aloud before the light around him distorted and enveloped him in a flat wave until he looked to completely disappear. No matter which angle one would look, all they would see is the chair and his backpack next to it.
