Sasha returned back downstairs, after having gone back upstairs. She’d spent a few hours cleaning up, she dressed in clothes she hadn’t taken traveling with her, but were still very much travel clothes. Pants, and a loose shirt, throwing a jacket over it all, but she wasn’t fussed with how she looked. She tied her long black hair into an intricate braid that wouldn’t fall out, and then sat to gather up her notes, and thoughts. The last two months had been tiring, to say the least, especially with the changes her body was going through… but it had been for the good of the world, and Sasha knew that if she was given the choice, she would do it all over again. There were too many things at stake, and she’d managed to connect several incidents with what was happening…
The rise in dark mages… in dark guilds… She knew it wasn’t a coincidence they were forming, becoming more than a nuisance, even if they had no connection with the island, and the dragons… the slayers… For so long now, the understand of slayers was that if they used their magic too much, if they went so far… they’d become what slayer magic they used… it was, it seemed, certainly true for the Dragon Slayers of old… but Sasha was no longer sure if that was the case. Those that had gone to Tenure Island, had fought, and ultimately caused the near 100 year ban on magic… something had happened to them, she knew, but she didn’t think it was what everyone had assumed…
There was still so much she didn’t know, and not enough time to learn it all. No time at all, in fact. She lay her hand on her journal, a few months ago it had been brand new, now… it was well used, well worn, and full to the brim of everything she had found, discovered, her own thoughts and processes. And her sketches, drawings. So much… and she had to somehow cover it all, convince the Guild Masters of the importance of this… She’d go on her own if she had to, but she knew that her guild at least would be behind her.
And that had always been enough, before.
Now… she wasn’t so sure.
As the silhouette of a now familiar form approached her, Sasha turned to Patrick. She gave him a nod, looking over the guild hall for a few moments, before she spoke.
”I’m not sure I have everything I need, to do this” her voice was soft, not particularly wanting anyone to see her yet.
Patrick, formerly known to her as Timelord, looked out over the guild hall as well. She wasn’t actually too sure how he had gotten into the guild, but it didn’t seem to matter right then.
”Sasha, in my time, you went alone. You never came back. Things have already changed… you are no longer alone, now are you? What will happen will happen, Sasha. That’s all we can really count on. “ Sasha couldn’t help but feel like those words were… utter crap. She sighed softly, her hand curling around the carved fish that Mayt had given her what seemed like so long ago… That had been an interesting day, and one she knew she wouldn’t forget. She felt like that had been the first day anyone in the guild had believed in her. And on the off chance she wasn’t going to return from this… she wanted it with her. She looked at her hand, where her guild mark use to be.
So much had changed… She thought about what her counterpart was doing, in Edolas. Without realising it, she lay a hand over her heart, where her guild mark now was… would things be the same, if they hadn’t done all they had, seen all they had? Edolas had been… enlightening to say the least. Shifting, Sasha lay a hand on her stomach. So much… She’d do anything to give her child a good life. So they wouldn’t fail.
She looked to Patrick, and gave a small nod.
”Lets get this started”.
As everyone that was there gathered, Sasha became more self conscious… she had always been terribly shy, something she had been working on, and she was more confident then she had been, but… Maybe she was being foolish…
She shook her head, and clutching her notebook, moved in front of the bar. She had called for this meeting… but now she wanted to be anywhere else. She gave a soft laugh, and shifted.
“My guild will know at least that I've been gone for two months, since the games. And the Guild Leaders should know that as well. We all know something happened 100 years ago, with the guilds of that time- Fairy Tail, Sabertooth, Blue Pegasus, Larima Scale just to suggest a few, and the dragon slayers of that time. Natsu Dragneel, Gajeel Redfox, Wendy Marvell, Laxus Dreyar, Erik, Rogue Cheney, and Sting Eucliffe. Names forgotten in time, names buried in the capital library, names never spoken off, but whispered, and names that everyone knows nonetheless. And in this time, we have our own dragon slayers. Our own slayers, for different species. Phoenix slayers. God Slayers. Devil Slayers. My own Sister, Penny, is a Phoenix Slayer, a fire Phoenix Slayer” She corrected,
“Master Jack, Master Fraquar, they’re slayers in their own right… There’s Hunter, and Amaya, Dragon Slayers, Jade and Ice respectively. Nolan, our Ash God Slayer.
We are no stranger to Slayers. And we know, we have heard the rumours, of what happens to slayers…
Rumours that are based in fact…
I've been searching for two months, and recording anything I could find. You may have all noticed the increase in natural disasters, and through that, I have found the legendary island of Fairy Tail, Tenuro island. I have yet to go there, for that should be a collaborative effort… with the blood of those with Fairy Tail magic in them.” She looked over at the familiar faces, over everyone, looking for those she knew were her family, taking in strength that she wasn’t alone anymore, that she hadn’t been alone for a long time. Her gaze finally landed on Patrick once more, words coming to her again.
“I can’t make you believe what I’m saying… I can’t make you see… But I can ask you to trust me” She said, looking back over her guild, those from the other guilds.
“I can ask you to trust me, I can ask that, because… The guilds, all of them, have been through a lot. We all know there is a darkness out there. And this is the least evil of them. I… I’m asking you to trust me, so that we can be prepared for what will come, after…
I’m not good at public speaking. I’m not the best at convincing people. But someone once told me, that you have to try. Because, if you don’t try, you will never get anywhere. Her words were a little bit more… confident and boisterous than mine, but you understand the point, I hope”She set her notes down, on the bar, laying her hand on her heart,
“Please. No matter what, I’ll be leaving in the morning. You can look through my notes, my sketches. Both are detailed. They document everything I found, the increase in natural disasters, any shred of information I found on Fairy Tail and the other guilds… any information about what happened 100 years ago. I found it, I took notes, I drew. It’s all there” She pointed to the journal,
“And its everyones, now”She stepped away from the bar, Sasha’s small frame was nevertheless full of confidence that she never knew she had, that she didn’t seem to notice as she looked over the place that had become her home, over the people she had come to count on.
She’d see it again.
