The half-elf was glad that Madeleine agreed with him. It only made sense to him to track down the feral spirit that was somewhere in the city running amok. So the demoness entrusted him with the duty of casting a tracking spell, Avi being in charge of finding the Roggenwolf. Madeleine also said that she would take Morgana back to the office to sign that form, also grabbing Friedrich’s computer.

“You can count on me,” stated Avi, “I’ll perform the ritual here, while you guys head to the office. I’ll phone you if I get something.”

Avi then sat down on the floor in the middle of the penthouse, making sure not to step in the blood. Positioning himself in a meditative pose, Avi took out his wand and held it in front of his chest. His gaze was locked on the wand, all his mental intent focused on it as well. Within a few seconds, all that existed to Avi was the wand.

As Avi looked at the wand, he telepathically told it what he wanted. He wanted the sight, the ability to follow a spiritual trail. And after a minute the wand responded. Leaving Avi’s hands, the wand began to float in front of him, spinning ever so slightly. Then everything went dark for Avi as his eyes glowed a bright purple.

Avi’s vision was now in a dark abyss, the occasional blob of color floating by. He was unsure of how long he stood there before he was able to move his feet. The black ground rippled slightly as Avi walked, almost as if he was walking on water. Avi took a few exploratory steps before breaking into a jog.

But the abyss around him didn’t change as he continued to move through it. This perplexed Avi, who decided to stop moving. Seeing that this was getting him nowhere, Avi took a moment to think. He knew that right now his consciousness was within the spell, his wand connecting him to the spirit layer that existed just beneath the physical one. Truth be told Avi had only ever been here once before, on a different assignment involving hunting a spirit.

But that time the spirit’s tracks were more fresh, meaning he could find it immediately. However with the Roggenwolf, he had waited too long and now he couldn’t see any tracks. But Avi wouldn’t accept that, so, figuring that since he was in a spell, he tried to control the spell.

Focusing his mental intent on finding the path, Avi stood still, staring into the abyss. He lost track of time again as he focused on the darkness, but his effort was worth it as wisps of a golden trail appeared. Smiling, Avi ran toward the golden wisps, as he did so more revealed themselves.

Avi quickly found himself in front of a golden mirror. Within it he could see the Roggenwolf. The spirit appeared to be in some kind of greenhouse, filled with both domestic and exotic plants. Avi did his best to memorize all he saw as the Roggenwolf moved around whatever this place was. In the distance Avi could see a large communications tower.

Knowing that he shouldn’t linger in the spirit realm for too long, Avi decided that he had seen enough. Once again he focused his intent, this time on returning to the material plane. And after a few seconds, Avi found himself back in the bloody apartment, his wand lying on the ground in front of him.

Checking his watch, Avi saw that nearly an hour had elapsed since he started the spell. Wanting to figure out where the Roggenwolf was while his memories were still fresh, Avi pulled a cellular phone out of his pocket, a Motorola 8200. Avi immediately dialed the OMR office.

“Hello, this is the OMR office Frankfurt. How may I help you?” asked the receptionist. It sounded like the same Dwarf in the turtleneck that Avi kept running into.

“This is Agent Mosley,” replied Avi, “And was wondering if you could help decipher a location.”

Avi then began to explain what he had seen in the spirit realm. He mentioned the exotic greenhouses, the wide fields, and the gigantic tower. After about a minute of explaining, the receptionist cut the half-elf.

“Was the tower gigantic? Because it’s probably the Europaturm. Some people call it the Tower of Europe,” explained the receptionist, “It’s not too far from Frankfurt, and there is a large botanical garden nearby, the Palm Garden, which could explain the greenhouses.”

“So the Palm Garden, huh,” responded Avi, “I’ll head over there now. If you could direct Agents Disir and Faith to meet me there that would be great.”

Avi then hung up the phone and exited the apartment crime scene. The police standing out in the hallway gave Avi a strange look, probably wondering why he was alone in there for so long by himself. But Avi didn’t notice as he was singularly focused on finding the Roggenwolf. To that end, Avi hailed a cab outside, telling the Orc driver in German to take him to the Palm Garden.

@Ultimate Spidey
Yeah I’m actually reading all of the MC2 stuff in order, which most of it is Spider-Girl. I hadn’t really read much 90s comics in the past, but I decided to give Spider-Girl and Mutant X a try.

@Sep
Yeah I am reading all the current Star Wars stuff as it comes out, thankfully they put them up on Marvel Unlimited. But yeah I’m enjoying most of it.

@Kyoka
Mayday is a fun character and I can see why her comic was the only one out of the MC2 imprint to last for a long time. I too read the first couple trades of Sandman many years back, I was going through a phase where I was trying out a lot of the classic Vertigo series. I should probably get around one of these days to finishing it. As for Hellblazer, my only experience with the character is the Keanu Reeves film, a little bit of the TV show, and the animated movies. As for Swamp Thing it’s similar, with only the TV show, cartoons, and I also picked up the first trade for the New 52 run.

But yeah I don’t really read DC anymore, though I would if they had an app similar to Marvel Unlimited. But Hellblazer and Swamp Thing have been recommended to me before, so maybe I’ll see what my local library has before I go and buy a bunch of trades.

Also I just noticed in your character sheet that you will be using Alpha Flight, but I have already staked a claim for Walter Langkowski aka Sasquatch for my Hulk stories. As of now he hasn’t become Sasquatch yet, so he wouldn’t have any history with Alpha Flight.

@ErsatzEmperor
Since you are playing Wolverine I guess I should also tell you that Sasquatch is being used for my Hulk stories. As of how the character is right now he isn’t Sasquatch and hasn’t been a member of Alpha Flight. Hopefully this doesn’t mess with any story plans you have.
@Appalo
I would totally be down for Roger and Eddie being roommates. There could be a real contrast as one is a rich business major and the other a plucky filmmaker.
@Sep
I mostly read Marvel as I have the Marvel Unlimited streaming app (might read DC if they come out with something similar). So I’m reading a lot of the current stuff, like Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, Fantastic Four, all the X-Men related stuff, and Hulk of course. As for older series I’m reading there’s a bunch of classic Star Wars, the 70s horror stuff (currently Frankenstein), the 90s Spider-Girl, Exiles, and Mutant X. I plan to start reading some of the old X-Factor and Guardians of the Galaxy series, as I did have an inkling of an idea for both team. But I’m always looking for more classic series to read, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know.
@Argetlam350
Sorry about the delay on creating a character sheet. Decided to change some aspects from the last iteration of Roger, but here is the finished sheet. Also wondering if anyone would like to make their character his roommate. If not I suppose I could just make an NPC roommate.

Kurt gazed outside the window of the Mercurial Witch, the occasional piece of debris floating by. This was nothing out of the ordinary as the pirate ship was passing through the Debris Zone, a floating field of broken tech and reactors. While some people would be freaked out about traveling through such a densely packed part of space, Kurt had gotten used to it during his time mining asteroids.

But Kurt’s longing look into the space beyond the ship was interrupted by the sound of boxes hitting the floor. Kurt turned to see another Human Debris fallen over, floating in the zero gravity with several boxes floating next to them. Kurt just sighed before helping them grab the boxes that they had dropped. Kurt knew that if anyone who was free on the crew spotted this accident, there would be harsh discipline on this Human Debris.

While Kurt didn’t know his name, he could tell that this Human Debris was a few years younger than himself. And frequently these younger Human Debris were treated worse than those who were old enough to do significant work for the Jolly Rogs. So Kurt was glad that he was able to grab all the boxes quickly.

“Thank you,” said the young Human Debris as he took the boxes from Kurt, all the while keeping his head down, “I need to get going. Thank you again.”

And with that, he rushed down the hallway, bringing these mystery boxes to somewhere else on the ship. But Kurt figured that it was none of his business what those boxes were. All that was really his business was piloting, his assigned role on the Mercurial Witch. But those duties were needed as the alarms calling for battle stations came over the speakers.

Luckily for Kurt he was just down the hallway from the hangar. Kurt floated down the hallway as fast as he could, bursting through the doors to the hangar. In the center of the hangar Kurt could see Bosun and Holly, blood floating in front of her. That probably meant that Bosun was in a bad mood. So Kurt tried to sneak past him and float over to his Graze Cosmo.

“Hey, you!” shouted Bosun, “Where the hell were you? You were supposed to be here on standby, not loitering around.”

“Sorry boss,” Kurt replied, just loud enough for the head of the mobile suit squad to hear.

Kurt hoped that he hadn’t been the last pilot to show up, as if he was he could expect a beating when they came back to the ship. But Kurt was used to tolerating beatings, even from before being Human Debris, back at the orphanage.

But Kurt decided to focus on the now, floating up to his Graze. As the cockpit opened, Kurt took a seat in the damaged mobile suit. Clearly Lefty hadn’t been able to fully repair his suit as there were several slashes into its armor and the shield on his arm had a large chunk missing.

But Kurt still thought that it was good enough to go back into battle. Just having a Graze at all was better than some other pirates he had seen. It was with this in mind that Kurt connected to his mobile suit through the Alaya Vijinana System. Kurt gasped as he became one with the machine, a jolt of pain traveling down his back.

But then the pain calmed down, just being a dull throbbing in his back. Once again in control of his body, Kurt put his hands on the controls of the mobile suit. As he waited for the order to launch, Kurt vowed that he would survive this, a vow he had repeated many times since being a child.
Decided to hold off on making a second character right now. But I will be reading comic runs of characters I have an interest in to possibly stir up some ideas for the future.
Put up my first post as Hulk.

@Ruby
In attempts to be fair, as I've already had one character and you have none yet, I'll give up my claim on Cyclops to you. Plus since you want to run the whole X-Men team, you would need an RP structured like this, whereas I can play Cyclops in any Marvel RP that accepts canons. So go and have fun with those wacky mutants.

I still do intend to create a second character sometime soon. Maybe Rocket and Groot travelling the universe as bounty hunters. Maybe Iron Lad, a character I've played in an RP that died, messing around with the timeline and fighting many different iterations of Kang. Or maybe something else, I don't know.

Reprise of Destruction

1.01: Waking from a Dream

The cold wind of the Tibetan mountainside cut across Bruce Banner’s face. Even with wearing many layers, Bruce was still inundated with the cold. But fighting the bitter winds finally proved of use as Bruce spotted his destination. At the apex of the mountain laid a field of green. Standing in the middle of this spring like environment was a large monastery.

As Bruce stepped off the snow and onto the grass, he suddenly felt a lot warmer. He also felt more at peace emotionally, having finally reached his destination. He had been told that this was the one place in the world where he could find peace from the Hulk. So Bruce entered the monastery, looking to find some old master who would be able to help him.

But as Bruce walked through the empty hallways he began to wonder where the monks were. But as he came into the center chamber of the monastery, he found someone meditating in the middle of the room. But it was no ancient master, but a rather a familiar demon: the Hulk.

“No, this can’t be right,” muttered Bruce, “This was supposed to be a calming place, where I would find peace.”

The Hulk opened his eyes before saying, “Peace is found here. The peace and calm of sitting in a simmering rage.”

“Peace in rage? What are you talking about?” asked an incredulous Bruce.

“The peace of accepting everything about yourself is what you seek,” the Hulk explained, “Even the things lurking in the abyss at the bottom of your soul.”

“Accept it? You’re a monster! You destroyed my whole life,” shouted Bruce.

“You have not seen true monsters. If you oppose yourself, then you will be consumed by those within,” stated the Hulk as he began to rip his chest open.

Bruce gasped and took a step back as the Hulk revealed the organs and bones that lay beneath his flesh. But the horror didn’t stop there as something began to move around the organs. Bruce couldn’t make out what it was until it popped its head out from between the Hulk’s ribs.

It was a small yellow creature that looked somewhat like the Hulk. With a maw of pointy teeth, it smiled at Bruce. The creature then started to grow, as its body ripped itself out of the Hulk. Within a minute, the body of the Hulk lay on the floor, torn apart by the growth of the creature. Standing next to the assorted parts of the Hulk was the creature, now nine feet tall, and muscled like the Hulk.

“What are you going to do tasty Banner?” chuckled the creature as it licked its lips, “Run from the monsters within?”

And Bruce did run, sprinting out of the monastery. Behind him, Bruce could hear the breathing of the creature as it chased him. By the time that Bruce got outside and onto the grass, he was breathing heavily, from a mix of exertion and the thin air up here in the mountains.

“You got to be faster than that,” laughed the creature, “I mean, I could just reach out and grab you.”

Bruce responded by pumping his legs faster than he had ever done before. But as he did so, he didn’t realize how close he was to the edge of the mountain. In a moment of uncertainty, Bruce glanced back at the creature, seeing that he was only two feet behind him. But as he did so, Bruce lost his footing and tumbled forward. Without proper footing, Bruce slid right off the rock and began to plummet down the mountain.

“Fuck!” shouted Bruce loudly as he rapidly approached the base of the mountain.

Only to strike a metal floor instead. With a groan, Bruce picked himself off the floor of his quarters assigned at this S.H.I.E.L.D facility. As he did so, he realized that he had hit the floor hard enough to make his nose bleed. As he got back on his bed and grabbed a tissue off the night stand, Bruce saw the door to his quarters swing open, revealing his friend Rick Jones.

“Bruce, are you alright?” asked Rick, “I heard you swear and then there was a loud bang. The big guy isn’t coming out is he?”

“No, it was just a dream. A really vivid dream,” stated Bruce, “So why are you even here?” Bruce glanced at the clock on the wall, “Shouldn’t you be at your shift in the cyber-security department?”

“Well, when you missed breakfast, something you never do, I figured that I should check on you,” explained Rick, “Plus it’s OK if I’m a little late.”

“But you’re a little late a lot. You are still only a junior agent, so your place here is not secure,” responded Bruce as he got to his feet.

“But I’m the Hulk’s best friend. Surely that counts for something,” laughed Rick.

“I don’t think the Hulk has any friends,” muttered Bruce, before speaking louder, “Anyway I’ll see if I can get any food. They do usually make too much bacon.”

“Well then I won’t stop you,” replied Rick, “Just let me know if you are ever off. I know it’s a lot easier dealing with me than Fury.”

Bruce just nodded as he left his room, Rick following behind him. Even though Bruce was in his pajamas still, he didn’t really care. People at this facility already gossiped about him being the Hulk, so his choice of clothing wasn’t a big issue.

After Rick went down a separate hallway, Bruce turned to the cafeteria, only to see fellow scientist Dr. Walter Langkowski waiting outside the doors.

“Bruce, it’s about time you showed up. Also why are you in pajamas?” questioned Walter, “Actually forget I asked. I have something urgent to talk about.”

“Then why didn’t you just come to my room?” asked Bruce.

“Because I don’t like the idea of waking up the Hulk instead of you Banner,” stated Walter, “Plus I know you never miss a meal, given how the gamma radiation affected your appetite.”

“Alright, alright. What’s this urgent issue?” questioned Bruce.

“It’s happened. A gamma explosion large enough to show up on our sensors,” said Bruce grimly.

“Are you absolutely sure?” asked a more awake Bruce, “We only had hearsay evidence that others were experimenting with gamma radiation experiments.”

“Well it happened. We have multiple sensor sites reporting it. And it’s fresh, only happening in the last hour,” said Walter, “So they’re sending us out to investigate.”

“Great, send in the radiation monster to another radiation site,” grumbled Bruce, “So where are we headed?”

“California, so you better pack some sunscreen,” stated Walter, “Personally us Canadians burn like crazy.”

Bruce was still in a little shock at the idea that anyone would want to replicate the accident that made the Hulk. But if they were successful, then the Hulk himself might be required. As Bruce was not liking the idea of letting the Hulk out, he swore that he could hear the Hulk laughing at him.
So as I am writing up a post as the Hulk, I’ve been really craving to also write my second idea. And seeing as this RP allows for two character concepts, I’ve decided that I will also apply as Cyclops.

@Ruby
Since you might do something X-related, perhaps we should talk to make sure we aren’t stepping on each other’s toes. Besides Cyclops obviously, I would also like to stake a claim on Jean Grey, Havok, and Emma Frost. If any of those characters were one’s you would want to play, please let me know so I can alter my story ideas.

EDIT:
Forgot to mention what my character idea even was. Basically a version of the Phoenix Saga happened, in which Jean Grey seemingly died to get rid of the Phoenix Force. Heartbroken, Cyclops takes some time away from the X-Men, moving to San Francisco. It is there that he has to find purpose in life and help out other mutants.
