1) It's "Absorbing Man" logic. He calls it Inorganic Absorption too, despite being able to absorb wood and leather and stuff. It's the fancy way of saying "Anything not alive." I'm not sure what else to call it, frankly.
2) Sorry about the history things. I figured out the broad strokes of the story and tried to vibe with that, but couldn't find the details, so I left things a little vague to try and not step on anyone's toes. This also includes the Thor thing.
3) To be fair, I did put the age that he was brought to the mansion "when he was 12 years old that his Mutant Powers activated. After his father attacked him he went on the run, eventually being found by Charles and the X-Men after a month surviving by himself" as well as when he graduated "He has a brown leather jacket with "Xavier Institute Class of 2004"" that being said, I did just notice the discrepancy saying that he studied for 7 years when it would have been 8 by 2004. My bad, I will change that.
4) I'd like to keep the Weapon X thing for his crippling, if that's possible. Specifically because it goes to show his state of mind in how he operated when he was young. The kind of guy to to throw himself on Adamantium claws in order to strip said Adamantium and give the others a chance to fight the creature. The other reason is because it plays into his character for the whole "Maybe if I hadn't been so reckless, I could have aimed right and missed my spine." That being said, if the Weapon X thing contravenes a few bits of established Lore, I'll change it.

Apart from that, I'll make some changes when I can, adding ages to events and changing some things around.

As the ship arrived in orbit around Coruscant, the Rangers looked out of the front viewscreen. "It's... Kinda beautiful..." Mele stated.

"Even if it is getting bombed into the ground." Kai replied, sighing. "What are we even going to do? If that god-guy-"

"His name is Daniel." Raekar butted in.

"If DANIEL is able to pull all of us out of our time-lines and dump us here, i don't see why he can't just poof these technobugs out of existance. And don't give me that whole "ThE oThErS wOnT lEt Me!" crap. I've had enough of Gods not stepping up when they need to. Say what you like about Mom, but at least she damn well got off her ass and helped when the universe needed her to." He grunted back.

"Gods are always fickle creatures" Michelle replied. "Only the dark gods are willing to do what is needed unconditionally in order to further their dark cause. Very few gods of order and light seem willing to do what is needed unconditionally."

"Speaking from personal experience?" Jay asked with a friendly smile. She simply stared emotionlessly back at him, as she tended to do.

"I am fortunate to be servant to the Mystic Mother." She replied.

"Well, i'm just glad that we will have some military back up for once." Asami smiled. "Like, actual soldiers. The Hengemen are just..." She stared at an inactive Hengeman in the corner. "I'm just glad that we get actual soldiers to back us up this time." Jack stared at her.

"Hey, we're soldiers. Badass-kickers, ready to fight." He held out his fist to Philip, who stared at it for a second, before he bumped it with his fist. "Still sad Captain Carter wouldn't give us a go with those F-302's."

"Hey, i think she's just scared of the Wizardactyl running rings around those things." Kai laughed. They saw the other ships arriving. "Well, it looks like we have a party." He walked over to Jack and bowed to him. "So, Red, what's the plan?" Jack looked out of the window.

"Follow the Blue Typhoon in." he replied. The Astro Megatimeship followed the Blue Typhoon in landing far more gently. The Rangers made their way outside and looked up at the constant rain of orbital fire crashing through the sky.

So, seeing that everyone else is going into more depth, here's a bit more indepth responses to each ship:

Blue Typhoon

Relatively friendly meeting. Raekar doesn't appreciate taking children into a combat situation, but after learning that Chris is actually in his mid 30's will probably screw with him by shapeshifting into a child herself. Philip will want to talk turkey with Tails about the specifications of the Blue Typhoon. Michelle will appreciate the shrubbery. Kai and Knuckles will probably do the old "2 broody boys meet, shake hands, huff at each other and immediately decide that they would gladly give their life to save the other." Jack is gonna want to have a go on the Tornado X. Jay will probably try out their recreational facilities. Asami probably finds solace in the ability to finally girl out with someone like Amy on stuff that isn't technical specifications, weapons or other space stuff.

George Hammond

Friendly introductions. Probably a little apprehension about the egyptian themed lady and the human looking robot walking onboard (SG has a bad history with those) Raekar and Sam nerd out on technical specifications. Jay finds enjoyment by challenging some of the security personels best times in their assault course. Jack and Kai both want to try out an F-302. Asami will be glad to be in the presence of proper military protocol and command rather than their loose structure on the Timeship.

Avenger

After the initial apprehension of working with aliens is out of the way, i imagine that the meeting goes very well. They are very few in number as well, so they have to stick together. Probably a little more apprehension when they see the Ranger Armour as it looks rather reminiscent of the ADVENT armour. Philip and SPARK will probably have a lightning fast exchange in information, Asami is once again so happy to be around a properly disciplined military. Kai is just happy that Asami is happy.

Malevolence II

The Rangers feel VERY apprehensive about the darkness they feel from the ship. Kai will probably take the lead on this one. Jack will probably have a stare down with Grievous while Phil just makes friends with some of the B1's aboard. Asami will probably be very standoffish against Sinnali as she doesn't like the dark and broody girl, especially being dark and broody around Kai. Jay is just not happy on such a dark and dank ship, especially with nobody to entertain with his antics.

Ark

Immediate hostilities as both ships IFF systems immediately target each other as they recognize each other as Autobot and Decepticon, before both crews wrestle the ships under control. Wipe-Out tries to go on the warpath before being confined to his quarters until they can at least talk. Optimus isn't the first Prime they have met and will probably ask how Vector Prime is doing.

Raekar will hit on Daniel A LOT and Full-Tilt and Wipe-Out don't really interact with the others unless the others come to them. They just serve "The Master" Trypticon.

I mean, to be fair, in Star Wars movie canon you only need a little breathing mask to survive in space. I mean, they didn't know they were inside a giant worm, so it's safe to assume that, even in the cold recesses of space, those little facemasks would work.

I will have to say that the Rangers biggest surprise about this new universe will be that they don't have air in space. Lost Galaxy established that there is Air in Space. We see Mike floating through space without a space suit, with the implication that it has been a few hours and this has no ill effects on him.

My personal theory is that Space Air in Power Rangers just tastes really weird, which is the only reason why ships are pressurized. It's also what annoyed me about the Psycho Green's fight on the moon. There has always been air in space.

*Inorganic Molecular Fusion:
Robert has the ability to absorb inorganic materials and integrate them into his body. Usually he uses this like Colossus, absorbing an amount of steel and fusing it into his skin, The difference is that he needs enough to do it. Absorbing a small iron pipe will allow him to maybe cover his fists or a some vital organs, but not his whole body. That being said, there is no limit to the amount he can seemingly absorb into himself, storing as much as he needs to before reshaping it to fit his body. Everything from a small block of wood to an entire kitchen table to a full car (Of course, larger objects take longer to absorb) That being said, he can also reshape his body using these items. A few examples:

*Piling enough metal into his hands to fashion them into blades.
*Absorbing a whole motorbike, he was able to coat his body in fiberglass from the body-shell and then use the wheel mechanism and other items to transform his hands into buzz-saw like weapons.
*Transmuting his feet into the floor to allow him to essentially walk up walls (Albeit very slowly)

This Inorganic Molecular Fusion also grants him a modicum of Super Strength, not exactly throwing buildings around, but his bones and body gain the tensile strength of whatever material he has absorbed, allowing him to hold objects that would crush a regular human. At absolute full exertion, he is able to lift approximately 1 ton above his head.

He also uses his power at the moment to allow him his mobility. After an old injury in battle nicked his spinal column, he was left partially paralyzed from the waist down. Luckily, he is able to use his powers to temporarily repair the damage, but it's like tensing a muscle, it becomes painful after a while and he has to let go.

However, due to his powers requiring concentration, it becomes painful after a while, so he can only keep it up for maybe an hour before he is forced to sit back down and rest for a while before going again.)

History

How did you discover your powers: It was when he was 12 years old and he was at the table eating with his family when he started absorbing everything he touched. First it was his knife and fork, then the chair, then the rug, the door handle everything. His father... Was a staunch catholic and was less than impressed by this. His father tried to have his demons exercised... Mostly involving keeping him locked in the cellar for a few days and when he tried to break out, his father "defended" the family, slashing him across the face with a razer.

General History: Roberts early life was rather uneventful. Living in Dublin, going to church on Sundays, a rather standard Catholic upbringing. He was considered something of a Jack-The-Lad in his youth breaking a few young galway gal's hearts. It wasn't until that fateful night when he was 12 years old that his Mutant Powers activated. After his father attacked him he went on the run, eventually being found by Charles and the X-Men after a month surviving by himself.

At this point he went into what he likes to refer to his "Edgy 90's Hero phase" He learned at the institute, refused to sleep in his bed, hung out with the other edgy 90's hero Professor Howlett learning from him. The usual edgy rebellious Lone Wolf type things that he tried to use to... Somehow get some control of his life. Luckily for him, Charles didn't stand for his crap and he was sanctioned quite a bit for that. Although Charles did let him keep wearing that white edgelord mask that he made. With his unique powers, Charles drafted him for his X-Men when he turned 16. He took the moniker Upgrade. Despite everything, he proved to be a valuable member of the Gold Team. Gold Team were the ones usually sent on the non urgent missions. They spent most of their time hunting down rumours, finding newly evolved Mutants and potentially engaging minor Brotherhood cells at the very most.

During one mission was when he came into contact with the love of his life. A mutant by the name of Asari Komodashi or "Chimera". Her power was to hybridize herself with animals she touched, taking on their physical abilities and natural weapons. They found themselves on the opposite sides of the battlefield on many occassions. She won some fights, he almost won others, it was a love-hate relationship. Eventually, though they agreed to meet... Socially. He tried to convince her to join the X-Men, she tried to convince him to join the Brotherhood. Neither would budge on their position, but the angry sex after their arguments was great.

It was when he was 2004 that he went on a mission to track down some missing mutants when Gold Team ran into the U-Men, a cult of humans that want to ascend to Mutant status by harvesting mutant organs and implanting them into their own bodies. After Gold squad fell into a trap, Robert sacrificed himself to buy time for the other X-Mens escape. The other X-Men managed to save him, but not before the U-Men cut him open and damaged his spine in the process. He took the opportunity, while adjusting to his new damaged body to settle down and focus on his studies. Turns out he was actually rather talented at Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, he and Asari took a vacation together and... Well, did what most couples do on vacation.

After they got back, from vacation, they eloped. The pair seemingly gave up the Super-business and just went travelling. Buying a beat up old Buick Century, they fixed it up together and cruised in it, going all over the world helping Mutant Communities where they found them. in 2011 they had little Jasmine. They were together and happy as one family... That was until Master Mold made his move. The pair took up arms to protect their new life and their daughter. They were victorious, but Asari didn't make it, leaving Robert as a single parent looking after Jasmine by himself. He couldn't bring himself to return to the mansion after their victory. He decided to take his degree settle down to raise Hasmine. He had a few offers like S.W.O.R.D., Oscorp and Stark, but decided he wanted to join a civilian agency with no military ties. He found a job at NASA as a mechanical engineer. He helped design and build several space-craft for them, his Mutant status never being revealed to his compatriots at NASA.

The next decade was actually rather uneventful for him. He saw on the news what the new X-Men were up to, but just kept up his work. He was tempted to go to Genosha when Magneto set up his commune there, but work commitments prevented him (Dodged a bullet on that one). But then Jasmines Mutant Powers began to make manifest. Her abilities are some strange combination of her parents. Able to fuse animals and inorganic matter into hybrids. But she isn't able to effectively control her powers very well. Most of what she makes... She kills by accident... So far her only success is when she fused a rat and a pigeon with lump of steel and adopted it. His name is Gerald. Before Asari died, she told Robert that she still believed in Magneto's way of doing things. She made him promise that he would help Magneto if he succeeded in his plan to create a Mutant Country. After the failure of Genosha, Magneto held a few Rallies and Robert met up with him. The pair talked about his next move. Magneto told him about Asteroid M, a project that Robert could help with. He supposed that a new homeland in space might be what the other Mutants wanted.

For the last year, Robert has been helping Magneto set up Asteroid M, helping Magneto with the structural and mechanical engineering of his new space colony. He doesn't actually plan to live in space on Asteroid M, but he still believes that the Mutants should have a choice. He is also using this as an opportunity to train Jasmine in a safe, mutant friendly environment.

Name of Ship: Astro Megatimeship
Home Universe/Name of Franchise: Power Rangers
Ship Class: Astro Megaship
Role: Transport/Megazord
Physical Description/Image: A large ship built around it's mostly saucer shaped body, with a visibly distinctive bridge and engines. The ship is mostly blue with red and silver stripes and other decals. It also has a mysterious purple symbol that is located on the front of the ship. It has two distinctive twin laser cannon turrets on the front.
Physical Size (roughly): 100m long, 70m wide and about 50m tall. The ship isn't physically large itself, but almost every inch is ergonomically designed, meaning almost no space is wasted.

History of the Ship: Millions of years ago, as the Cybertronian Civil War raged, an ancient warrior by the name of "Trypticon" was one of the most cruel and despised titans on the side of the Decepticons. His constant duels against the Autobot Titan "Metroplex" were stuff of legends. However, near the end of the battles on Cybertron, he was locked into his Alt-mode and used as a the Decepticon headquarters for the longest time.

After the end of the Civil War, the Nemesis was captured and put to use as a part of the new Cybertronian Defense Fleet. However, after one battle against the Machine Empire, the Nemesis was left badly damaged with only a mechanic and a janitor as the survivors. It was onto this badly damaged ship that a woman and her two sons found the key to the defence of time itself. Taking the ship to KO-35, it was upgraded with a working Timedrive and shapeshifted to serve as a new Astro-Megaship. Inside Trypticon slept as its body was used to fight against the foe known as Paradoxicus and his Paradox Navy. It wasn't until an incident where they met a creature calling itself "The Last Light" That Trypticon was awakened. Agreeing that Paradoxicus is truly the greatest foe known to anyone, it agreed to continue allowing the Power Rangers to use it as their vessel and helps them, serving somewhat the role of a Carrierzord.
Notable Crew:

Raekar

The mentor for the team, she is Jack's mother. She is a brilliant scientist who is strong of mind and body, but short on attention span. Her romantic escapades are the stuff of legend, having a "little black book" larger than the oxford dictionary. Jack is the result of one of these many escapades and she considers him her greatest creation, alongside the robot that she built called "Philip" who she also treats as her son.

Raekar possesses shapeshifting powers, able to adopt humanoid forms, although her base form is of a bird monster due to an accident when under the mentorship of Zordon.

Jack Panzer

Red Ranger of the team and son of Raekar. Jack is a Captain Marvelous type hero with a completely indomitable will and an absolute need to see and know everything. Becoming a Power Ranger is just another feather in his cap. This dogged determination serves him well as a Ranger. He also seems himself as something of a Zord piloting Ace. A consideration well earned when observing his skill. Since Raekar has been teaching him about Zords and Zord piloting since he was very young. The question of the identity of his father is important to him, but not important enough for him to sacrifice anything important. He loves his mother very much and his question is more curiosity than quest, seeing as his mother was there to raise him where his father wasn't. Even though he doesn't necessarily have the technical know-how to create Zords, he still takes a great interest in it.

He uses the Fenrir Spiritzord

Jay "Jugglo" Stallcup

The Pink ranger of the group, He is the son of Jindrax and Toxica from Wild Force. Being a Duke-Org, he looks mostly human, with blond hair, Asian facial features, but most notably, a long horn on his head. He is very self-conscious about his name "Jugglo" being named after his uncle, hence why he calls himself Jay. Jay's relationship with his parents is good, but they do not approve of him being a Ranger. He is an acrobat by nature, having grown up working with his father in a circus. He is also very good with throwing things, especially knives with deadly accuracy. Ever since joining the Rangers, Jay actually learned to respect his parents more and more, as well as come to embrace his clown-like traits.

He summons the Rhinoceros Beetle Spiritzord

Mele Skinner

The Yellow Ranger of the group, she is the daughter of Jarrod and Camille from Jungle Fury. Mele is a bight, perky and happy-go-lucky girl with a shaggy mane of black hair on her head. She is a little conscious about her tongue as she has a long, chameleon-like tongue like her mother. Mele, despite having a bubbly personality, is actually quite calm and collected when in combat, she is a student of the Pai Zhuq and this shows. She is something of the emotional support of the team, almost like a puppy.

She uses the Roc Spiritzord

The Black Ranger of the group, Philip is a robot built by Raekar using a combination of recovered Machine Empire technology, as well as the Android technology developed by Andrew Hartford. Philip has been with Raekar and Jack for a while, with Jack seeing Philip as his closest friend. Philip has Cameleon technology built into him, using it to assume a human-like form, but when his chameleon field is down, he looks very robotic.

He uses the Rhino-Tank Spiritzord

Asami Shih

The Blue Ranger, she is daughter of Joe Shih and Nadira. She grew up with her loving parents and always wanted to join Time Force. She succeeded and spent time as something of a secondary antagonist, as she was trying to apprehend Raekar, suspecting that she's the one causing all of the problems across time, as Paradoxicus left evidence incriminating Raekar and her Rangers to be the ones responsible. Asami eventually cought up with them and battled the rangers a few times before finally joining them properly after Paradoxicus invaded and conquered Time Force HQ.

She uses the Hydra Spiritzord

Michelle

Michelle is the White Ranger and an Angel from the Realm of Good Magic. She was sent to the Rangers to assist them in the capture of Kai by the Mystic Mother. She is a bit confused by earth customs and is something of the odd one out of the party. She has a mostly egyptian aesthetic to her clothes.

She uses the Sphinx Spiritzord

Kai Axlerod

Kai is the son of Zedd and Rita that they had after being purified by the Z-Wave. He idolized his father, but due to Rita leaving them to become the Mystic Mother when he was young, he gained a resentment towards her. Paradoxicus helped Kai unlock his monster form, but Kai wasn't done with just that. He also went to the underworld and contacted Dark Specter, finding out how to create Psycho Rangers. With this knowledge, he fashioned himself a Psycho Goldenizer, allowing him to ascend to Gold Psycho Ranger. He served as antagonist until he rebeled against Paradoxicus and tried to go it alone, but found that he isn't strong enough to defeat him. Badly wounded, he was found by Asami who smuggled him onto the Astro Megatimeship. Nursing him back to health. As Kai is almost back to health, he is abducted by Michell who brought him to Mystic Mother. Mystic Mother argued with him, but eventually manages to trick him into taking a Gold Tempusmorpher that she had fashioned based on Raekar's designs and Solaris Knight's morpher. The Tempusmorpher drove the evil from him and he joins the Tempus Knights as their 7th Ranger.

He utilizes the Tyrannosaurlock, Wizardactyl and Trisorcerer Zords that form the Magisaurus Megazord

Decepticons that have always served Trypticon. Wipe-Out is a simple janitor who cleans and keeps the master happy. Attempts to communicate with him usually result in the words "Wipe-Out hears ya, Wipe-Out don't care" Meanwhile, Full-Tilt is his polar opposite. Full-Tilt WORSHIPS Trypticon as a cultist with a god. He attends to the masters every need, working in the engine rooms and keeping everything working at full power.

Physical Description/Image: A large ship built around it's mostly saucer shaped body, with a visibly distinctive bridge and engines. The ship is mostly blue with red and silver stripes and other decals. It also has a mysterious purple symbol that is located on the front of the ship. It has two distinctive twin laser cannon turrets on the front.
Physical Size (roughly): 100m long, 70m wide and about 50m tall. The ship isn't physically large itself, but almost every inch is ergonomically designed, meaning almost no space is wasted.

History of the Ship: Millions of years ago, as the Cybertronian Civil War raged, an ancient warrior by the name of "Trypticon" was one of the most cruel and despised titans on the side of the Decepticons. His constant duels against the Autobot Titan "Metroplex" were stuff of legends. However, near the end of the battles on Cybertron, he was locked into his Alt-mode and used as a the Decepticon headquarters for the longest time.

After the end of the Civil War, the Nemesis was captured and put to use as a part of the new Cybertronian Defense Fleet. However, after one battle against the Machine Empire, the Nemesis was left badly damaged with only a mechanic and a janitor as the survivors. It was onto this badly damaged ship that a woman and her two sons found the key to the defence of time itself. Taking the ship to KO-35, it was upgraded with a working Timedrive and shapeshifted to serve as a new Astro-Megaship. Inside Trypticon slept as its body was used to fight against the foe known as Paradoxicus and his Paradox Navy. It wasn't until an incident where they met a creature calling itself "The Last Light" That Trypticon was awakened. Agreeing that Paradoxicus is truly the greatest foe known to anyone, it agreed to continue allowing the Power Rangers to use it as their vessel and helps them, serving somewhat the role of a Carrierzord.

Raekar

The mentor for the team, she is Jack's mother. She is a brilliant scientist who is strong of mind and body, but short on attention span. Her romantic escapades are the stuff of legend, having a "little black book" larger than the oxford dictionary. Jack is the result of one of these many escapades and she considers him her greatest creation, alongside the robot that she built called "Philip" who she also treats as her son.

Raekar possesses shapeshifting powers, able to adopt humanoid forms, although her base form is of a bird monster due to an accident when under the mentorship of Zordon.

Jack Panzer

Red Ranger of the team and son of Raekar. Jack is a Captain Marvelous type hero with a completely indomitable will and an absolute need to see and know everything. Becoming a Power Ranger is just another feather in his cap. This dogged determination serves him well as a Ranger. He also seems himself as something of a Zord piloting Ace. A consideration well earned when observing his skill. Since Raekar has been teaching him about Zords and Zord piloting since he was very young. The question of the identity of his father is important to him, but not important enough for him to sacrifice anything important. He loves his mother very much and his question is more curiosity than quest, seeing as his mother was there to raise him where his father wasn't. Even though he doesn't necessarily have the technical know-how to create Zords, he still takes a great interest in it.

Jay "Jugglo" Stallcup

The Pink ranger of the group, He is the son of Jindrax and Toxica from Wild Force. Being a Duke-Org, he looks mostly human, with blond hair, Asian facial features, but most notably, a long horn on his head. He is very self-conscious about his name "Jugglo" being named after his uncle, hence why he calls himself Jay. Jay's relationship with his parents is good, but they do not approve of him being a Ranger. He is an acrobat by nature, having grown up working with his father in a circus. He is also very good with throwing things, especially knives with deadly accuracy. Ever since joining the Rangers, Jay actually learned to respect his parents more and more, as well as come to embrace his clown-like traits.

He summons the Rhinoceros Beetle Spiritzord

Mele Skinner

The Yellow Ranger of the group, she is the daughter of Jarrod and Camille from Jungle Fury. Mele is a bight, perky and happy-go-lucky girl with a shaggy mane of black hair on her head. She is a little conscious about her tongue as she has a long, chameleon-like tongue like her mother. Mele, despite having a bubbly personality, is actually quite calm and collected when in combat, she is a student of the Pai Zhuq and this shows. She is something of the emotional support of the team, almost like a puppy.

She uses the Roc Spiritzord

The Black Ranger of the group, Philip is a robot built by Raekar using a combination of recovered Machine Empire technology, as well as the Android technology developed by Andrew Hartford. Philip has been with Raekar and Jack for a while, with Jack seeing Philip as his closest friend. Philip has Cameleon technology built into him, using it to assume a human-like form, but when his chameleon field is down, he looks very robotic.

He uses the Rhino-Tank Spiritzord

Asami Shih

The Blue Ranger, she is daughter of Joe Shih and Nadira. She grew up with her loving parents and always wanted to join Time Force. She succeeded and spent time as something of a secondary antagonist, as she was trying to apprehend Raekar, suspecting that she's the one causing all of the problems across time, as Paradoxicus left evidence incriminating Raekar and her Rangers to be the ones responsible. Asami eventually cought up with them and battled the rangers a few times before finally joining them properly after Paradoxicus invaded and conquered Time Force HQ.

She uses the Hydra Spiritzord

Michelle

Michelle is the White Ranger and an Angel from the Realm of Good Magic. She was sent to the Rangers to assist them in the capture of Kai by the Mystic Mother. She is a bit confused by earth customs and is something of the odd one out of the party. She has a mostly egyptian aesthetic to her clothes.

She uses the Sphinx Spiritzord

Pretty much playing my current Power Rangers Essence20 Campaign party. Yes, the ship has a time drive, but in this kind of adventure, they cannot use it due to it guaranteed to do more damage than it could ever possibly undo. If you want me to remove the Transformers elements, i'm ok with that.
