Alex

Alex was shocked into silence. This guy’s claims were simply too far-fetched! A worm that makes players turn into ghostly strings of code upon death? This isn’t a fantasy novel! Still, Erika was there in front of them, in a coma and they had seen her in game... but why would the DGO devs have something like this in the game? Who would be familiar enough with DGO to create a worm that can bypass all the safety measures that are supposed to stop this from happening?! Sure Corpse Collector seemed to be some kind of hacker, but the difference between altering stats and spawning mobs is like Heaven and Earth compared to this!

“H-how is killing Corpse Collector going to help? If what you say is true then all you’re going to do is make the one person that might be able to fix this into a vegetable! How is that going to help? Do you know how to hack the game well enough to try and fix this? Why don’t you just get in contact with a DGO admin or developer?” he was just clutching at straws, Alex knew that. This ghost story did put the fear in him. It took all he had not to open up his messages and send Bel a warning. Then he heard Eris’ warning

“Hey, I’m not going to follow you, but that doesn’t I’m not curious. I mean eggs and one baskets should be avoided right? And that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t keep an eye out for each other. Plus there is a chance that none of us have got the super coma worm that may not be real, but we can just communicate with the subject lines, right? No opening, no worms? Plus, I don’t know, calling? Voice chat? I’m just trying to be practical...” scratching his head, Alex took a pen from his pocket and grabbed a piece of paper, scribbling his number down.

“Plus if there are no online messages, a hacker can’t read them, right? Y'know, for stuff you don't even trust the internet with?” handing four scraps of paper with his number on it to the rest of the group, Alex sighed and felt his knees weaken.

“Between this, a fake Black King, the lovely Green King seemingly hating me, Corpse Collector just on its own and whatever the hell else there is to go wrong... well this is rather stressful isn’t it?” his throat dry, his knees weak. All in all? Alex really wanted to just lie down and sleep.

Tori

Tori watched in a detached horror at the state of the captain. Her face was as blank as ever, as if someone had just dropped a pile of paperwork in front of her. Was it shock? Maybe, she felt numb as if all her sense of touch had been shut down as she stumbled vaguely over to the impaled captain, her face now as bone white as her cloak. There was only one saving grace, the controls seemed undamaged. For all the creature’s intelligence it seemed to be prioritising dealing with living things and not disabling the ship.

This assumption was quickly ruined by the metallic abomination’s inclination to tear through the hull of the airship. Clenching her teeth so she wouldn’t accidentally bite her tongue, Tori was about to try and take control when she felt the ship plummet a bit with the weight of the metal dragon creature. Spreading her wings, Tori kicked off the door and guided herself back over to the controls where she unceremoniously knocked the captain from his seat and began wrestling for control.

Gasping Tori felt she was fighting a useless battle as the airship continued to plummet, the best case scenario she could hope for is to aim the crashing airship at a floating island. Actually, the best case scenario would be crushing that metal bastard underneath the airship as it crashed, but for now she would be happy for a crash landing without fatalities.

“Please, please, please! Crash safely!” this course of action slightly conflicted with her, the cold calculating part of her mind told Tori that she was in unnecessary danger that with her Tome she could safely escape and it would simply be another crash in the Arcadian skies… yet she was still there, holding on and wrestling with the controls, working as hard as she could. Body not obeying the logical, selfish, mind.

Things aren't going to plan. My desktop computer is utterly failing to connect to the Internet regardless of what I try to do.

It's currently out of office hours for my provider so I won't be able to get assistance tonight and until that's fixed I won't be able to post from home (my post is saved on a word doc). This is applicable to all RPs I'm involved in and I hope this should be an easy fix.

Add this to my laptop being dropped and sent off for repairs and I'm having a pretty shit week :(
Sorry for the silence on my end. Travel+Appointments+Work is more draining than expected. I'll have something up today if everything goes to plan
Carver Jazz

“Oh! I see, this must all be some grave misunderstanding then young Miss. You holding the spray can and the clearly audible sound of the spray can... all coincidental? Well whatever” walking over to the fresh paint Carver extended a finger and wiped it on the wall, bright orange sticking to it before bringing it to his nose and sniffing before walking over to Dana and grinning

“Well it smells normal. So is it the art or your resentment that causes this young Miss? Someone you hate? A mean bully? A teacher from hell?A class pet puke on your shoes? Or is your birthday coming up and you want school to be closed so you can celebrate? I ask mainly out of curiosity, but the why can help figure out the what to do next” taking out a handkerchief Carver casually wiped his fingers, scrunched the square of fabric and unfolded it, smiling to himself that the paint smeared into a weird little drawing of a house

“Well ‘aint that the strangest thing? I’m an artist by accident!” as he saw Dana dash off. He was a bit embarrassed, although he wasn’t caught out by literally the oldest trick in the book he did manage to somehow let her start making her escape

“Oi! Girl! I wanna talk art with you! And you two! Collateral damage is fine, this isn’t my school, but the mission is to fix this! For all we know this entire school is a seal and knocking it down could unleash whatever lives beneath it!” dashing off, Carver didn’t look exactly natural running, but he had good pace as he lightly tapped his thighs as faint blue glyphs lit up under his pants and his speed explosively increased.

Meanwhile a voice called out from behind the green haired girl, a stoic looking brunette appearing with gold eyes flecked with silver.

“Hey, Luci!” the cheery tone of her voice contrasting her appearance “I’m tired of landscaping and gardening. You sure are good at bossing people around Luci, but all this hard work of mine deserves a reward! Let’s go out to dinner or something!” hugging the green haired girl from behind the brunette yawned and looked at the boy with the gun

“Luci~ stop talking to the Gun-taku cosplayer and let’s get dinner. I’m really feeling like roast lamb today, y’know from the place that we went to last month? You chewed out that waiter and got us free dessert! I’ll even find some money on the way to pay for it. No dine and dash... honest!” lets her full body weight lean against the green haired girl's back, slowly sliding to the ground in 'exhaustion'.

Thieve away @KoL. It'll go up in a few hours. 2:30 am says I need to sleep :3
FUCK! I forgot the mentions!
Alex

Silently walking along, the crisp air invigorated him and walked at a steady pace, the address “1722 Wallan Street. 529” stewing in his head. Stopping to look up, Alex found himself standing in front of that very address... a hospital. How ominous for a ghost in the machine to be in a hospital. Thankfully 529 is not likely a morgue

Entering the hospital, Alex went straight to the elevator, assuming that room 529 would be room 29 on floor 5. Hitting the button and the elevator smoothly rose, a massive bout of nerves struck Alex in his gut... the others got the message too... he’s going to bump into them. Gulping Alex found the room and saw them. Two he bumped into last night with Bel the other he didn’t recognise and what looked like the brother of Erika. Being a wallflower Alex had seen a bunch of these people around, but hadn't got to know any of them. Silently listening to the others Alex spoke for his piece.

“Umm, sorry. I know of her, saw Erika around the place, but I haven’t had the pleasure... this place is, like everyone else here, because of a lovely ghost resembling Erika letting us know.” hearing Aaron’s question about how Erika got into DGO well, a leap of logic made sense to Alex. Quietly speaking up he voiced his thoughts

“Well, if her DGO chip is still active, then maybe she can subconsciously log-in? Since she’s not fully aware of herself then it doesn’t function completely? I know I’ve always had a secret worry of accidentally logging in while asleep...” looking around Alex blushed a bit before approaching the ‘hero’ topic.

“A hero isn’t really something to aspire for... a hero is just the villain that won the final battle and everyone believed in...”
