Dante smiled darkly and said “maybe my skill set is in order?” Aura frowned and said “no mind tricks. He is a warrior, he just needs to let his mind rest…”

They heard steps and said “you need to check his contracts. We use the wrong combo and it will make things worse” Dante appeared, holding Ashs bag over his shoulder and a note book in hand. Aura looked over. “Dante why are you going thru her things?”

Dante said “I wanted to see if she had something to help him. Her notes caught my eye. Astra, she’s not just a machine genius. She knows a lot about magic. Hers is lined out with the contracts she’s made. And his is lined out as well. His linked with earth magic. Wind will make his wounds worse. Chi, don’t bind him. We need to get him to stop fighting” Dante walked over and put the things down and looked down at Bane. “You don’t have to fight warrior. You’re in a safe haven. You need to rest or your inner magic won’t be able to save you.”

Bane grunted in pain and said “I can’t…let my…guard down…”

Lord Grant put his pen down and looked up at her, his eyes narrowed. “And why do you want them?” Ana put her hands behind her back, the wolf able to see she was shaking.

“I want to see if I can help any other cursed ones…or track down Panic Discord…”

Vale looked at her and said “not afraid of us? Even with our nature aura around her? Very interesting…now I’m more interested in his child”

Dante shrugged and said “fine if you say so. But really I could get a lot of info without a problem…” he vanished into the dark. Aura ran out to help Chi pick the werewolf up and Bane grunted in pain. Aura saw the wounds and said “my lady…his in bad shape. His healing isn’t working…”

They got him down the other entrance and got him laying down on the floor and Aura started to burn the fur around his wounds. “Chi…these are claw and fangs…his own kind attacked him”

Bane was barely awake and said weakly “you might…want to…bind me…if the pain makes me…go frenzy…”

Dante appeared behind Astra, covering his mouth and nose. “They will be looking for him at clinics. I was just checking the radio band. A guild is after him. My guess is he said no to the wrong one…but isn’t he the one friend of the tinker? The general I believe. I saw him at her shop my last recon. He may be useful my lady…in his state I can do much with his mind…”

Aura ran out and said “Dante no. His a warrior. Look at his wounds. He fought back hard. We can’t turn him away”

Bane grunted against Chi and said weakly “I…can vouch…for my…self…if Ash trusts you…then I will…too…I smell her on you Chi…whatever I must do…I’ll do it…”

Bane chuckled and said “not doing that…just…having a hard time…focusing…too much blood loss…” he swayed a bit and fought to stay awake. “Good…she’s safe…” he pulled the pin off his jacket collar and put it in Chi’s hand. “Keep that…safe…has evidence…to start taking…down the scum…” he grunted and slipping forward a bit.

The lord looked up and saw the pair and said “Lady Shade, I’m glad to see you’ve recovered. What can I do for you” Ana took a deep breath then said “I need to see any reports you have on attacks that could be cursed ones…”

Vale got up and followed, Dante walking with his brother. The Duke asked “what can you tell me if this Zoey?”

Bane stumbled towards him, his blood streaming from his wounds. He saw Chi and said “is…Ash safe? Please tell me…she’s not at the shop alone…” he saw Chi looking behind and said “I lost them…no one…tailed…” he grunted and then fell to his knees, his eyes dull. “Is…she…alright?”

Dante had been on guard duty when he caught the scent of blood and his eyes flashed. He hit his radio and said “my lady, I smell blood. You better come check it out…better it’s not me if the blood is friendly”
