Vindication comes, so too does peace of mind as I close one chapter and open a new one.

Sometimes I lie awake dreaming of being as consistent in this hobby as I was ten years ago.

Quality posting is far better than needless novels, yet one should never neglect detail when one feels the need.

I’m not a good writer. I’m just good at pretending to be.

Hi. I'm a role-player/writer who has spent over twenty-one years in this hobby.

I will pretty much write anything as long as my partner is cool with my inconsistent posting pace and momentum. I'm pretty sociable and I make dumb jokes all the time. My favorite things to write is capeshit, anime, space operas, horror, and slice of life/mundane drama. My writing level leans toward minimalism, but I try to give my partners/groups more than enough to work off of. I like to think I am pretty flexible.

I like cinema, music, and animation just as much as I like writing with people. My biggest hobby after writing is pop media analysis. Ask me questions or for suggestions and I'm sure to have something for you. 😎😎😎

The First Chapter! A New World?

“Ah. A room would make sense. You must be exhausted.”

Alexisa’s body was spent. Even if it had been conditioned by battle and restored by Sigridelle it had still been a very long day. A trek on the rough backroads in padded armor with the sun on high was still a trek nonetheless. The matron obviously picked up on the weariness–the fatigue. It was probably easy to see.

“We have three rooms upstairs. Two are available.” She raised her hand to her lips, thinking on the thought, “Room 2 or 3. Take your pick.”

Chronology of Events

2511 (216 Years Ago)

Mars refuses to take Earthborn refugees following a crisis on the homeworld. Mars and Earth begin a conflict that hinges on war. Earth calls back its colonial battleships from Terra Nova, Ares, and Canis Prime leaving the colonies to largely fend for themselves.

2527 (200 Years Ago)

Canis Prime secedes from the New Solar Republic and forms The Ascendancy in references to its goals to ascend beyond the confines of the republic and humankind. Following the Ascendancy's lead, eventually other farspace colonies group together in other factions.

2670 (57 Years Ago)

A invasion fleet comprised of Ascendants invade the Sirius System, sparking a war of conquest against the Terran Federation. This becomes known as the first Ascendant-Federation War.

2685 (42 Years Ago)

The war ends unofficially, when The Ascendancy and The Federation are attacked by a once thought neutral faction, the Cassian Empire.

2707 (20 Years Ago)

The War with Cassia ends. The Ascendancy and Federation find peace in the universe. For a time.

2711 (16 Years Ago)

The Federation attacks an Ascendant stronghold, reigniting conflict among the two factions. This begins the second Ascendant-Federation War.

2717 (10 Years Ago)

Operation Daedalus occurs. Commander Anua's special task force of valkyries attacks the Ascendancy Supercarrier, The Apedemak, after it launches a full scale attack on the Federation Reserve Fleet. Valkyries defending the F.R.F. struggle against the seemingly endless stream of starfighters and mecha. Considerable Federation losses are overshadowed by the destruction of the Apedemak. The key to the Federation victory against The Apedemak are pilots Kalian Cyris and Stella Aryos who become known as war heroes for their actions.

2720 (7 Years Ago)

Three years after Operation Daedalus, Kalian and his partner find themselves in what would become their final in-suit battle. The Ascendancy, refusing to back down despite considerable losses, hopes they can change the tides of the war. The Federation victory would lead to negotiations for the war to finally end.

2725 (2 Years Ago)

The Perseus Academic Institute re-opens its doors to Federation citizens who wish to get a higher education in piloting, engineering, and other fields. Secretly, it is the testing ground for a new generation of Valkyries.

The First Chapter! A New World?

The Swimming Sage was a moderately sized tavern and innhouse for a fishing village on the outskirts of the Addan province.

For those traveling from Githameire to Keldane it was about the midway point with only a few towns and villages left in the vale. It had four bedrooms above its sturdy bar room and hosted very few travelers on the average day save for the patrols from the local garrison at Fort Galla in the Eeleise Mountains. From what Mako could tell there were only a handful of men and women taking up gossip and food when she entered. They were likely all locals.

As she sat waiting for her food, two children looked at her from across the room with wonderment, though they were too shy to approach.

“Another one.” She could hear whispers of. “Another soldier.”

“That’s no soldier, that’s a warden.

These words were hushed by the adults eventually, though the children’s gaze remained. Soon enough such distractions were removed from sight and mind with the sound and smell of a plate of food being plopped in front of her. Fried fish with some arrangement of herbs and spices. A mash of some grain (potatoes? Maize?), an assortment of vegetables, and a pitcher of water with a tankard. The bar matron quickly poured the water in and gave them good manners.

“W-we thought everyone to be–” She paused, “–ahem, ah, I’m sorry m’lady. It’s just we have seen so few survivors. We thought the worst. If you need anything else, let me know.”

I keep scrolling up and accidentally clicking ERode's signature and its making me FURIOUS. I'm an idiot.
