Oliver fell back as the light slammed into him. That hurt a lot, and he honestly wasn't expecting the sudden rush of violence against him. He knew he fucked up exposing everyone, but he'd assumed, given the rapid onset of Cass's symptoms, she'd been exposed on Earth. But there was no way he could have known that, and that was probably just a rationalization to keep himself from coming to terms with the consequences of his actions. "A reason?" He asked, standing up, shaking a bit from the shock, "The best I can offer, is that I will be of some use in Cardiff. Anything else, you have no reason to believe." He admitted, averting his eyes.

"I put the team at risk, and that action needs to have consequences, I can agree to that, and I'm ready to face them, whatever they may be." He said, swallowing for a moment, "If that means I'm not a member of this team anymore, so be it." He would have said he'd be okay with Raynor "ripping his head off", but even though he felt bad, he wasn't ready to die for what he had done, and he didn't want to seem disingenuous. "But please. This mission needs to be completed, and one thing I can say for certain, is that I will not let what happened here, happen to Cardiff." His fist clenched for a moment, before looking back up, and all around at the team, "I don't care if I'm fired, or locked up, or worse. I will not stand on the sidelines for this." He turned to face Tinley, and walked towards her, ready to follow her to have whatever conversation they might need to have in private.

Flame looked between Mintfree and Paige, as tension started to rise between them. It was no secret that Elizabeth and Paige weren't on the best terms, but she was trying to be better recently, and that meant not telling Paige to sod off the moment she showed her face. Keeping her temper cool, she said "Love, let's give 'er a chance. You know I hate death eaters more than anything, but that doesn't mean we can go and hate everyone they ever knew." Flame stood up, and smiled at Fredrick, "That's just how we make more of 'em yeah? Hatred breads hatred, and all that."

Flame looked the Auror up and down, before saying, "So you're the folks who're meant to keep dark wizards away, eh? Flame's the name, pleasure to meet ya'."That was about as close to respectful as Flame got, and all things considered, she did have respect for anybody who'd put their lives on the line to protect others. It was one of the most noble professions in her eyes, and she wasn't about to be unduly rude to one of them. "Anything we can do to help ya'? I take it the Ministry doesn't send Aurors just to check in on students for nothin'." That would be something she'd love to do, actually help an Auror catch somebody, and if this was her shot at that, she was gonna take it.

As they entered the room, Elizabeth saw that this Surfer dude was seriously wrecking their shit. Needless to say, things weren't going according to plan, especially given that their speedster was knocked out of commission by having his feet turned to literal stone. That pissed her off more than anything, changing matter around was supposed to be her thing, and the Surfer stealing that felt like borderline copyright infringement. Rushing up to the man, she said, "Hey! let me show you how it's done!" She said, as she put her hand out, and tried to turn the Silver Surfer into the Iron Surfer. As a ripple pulsed through the man, she tried harder, and a grin broke out as she saw his form shift, but her expression turned to anger as he fixed himself.

"Ugh, fine. Be like that." She said, upset at her failure. Backing away from the Surfer, and over to Pietro. If she couldn't decommission the Surfer, maybe she could at least fix Quicksilver's feet. She figured that, if the Silver Surfer could do it, why couldn't she? Resting a hand on his feet, said, "I'm gonna be straight with you, I've never tried to turn anything to human flesh before, so uh... science time." And with that, she gripped hard, and to her surprise, the stone melted away, leaving Pietro with two normal feet again. "There we go, now get that Nullifer. I don't think this is a fight we can win." She said seriously, looking back towards the Surfer.
Arthur Stanford

Location:Ship

Walking with the group, Arthur was trying to pay attention, but was failing desperately. The galley was nice, he supposed, having access to literally any food he wanted was a luxury that most didn't have, but he just couldn't get himself excited about it. The armory failed to interest him either, not caring much for weapons short of their capacity to keep himself or others safe. It was relieving to know that they thought enough ahead to know that this ship needed an infirmary. For all he could say about the demigods so far, they seemed to take all this seriously enough.

When they saw the rooms, he smiled a bit. They were small, but cozy in a way. It was reminiscent of his time at the wretched school, but much nicer, and all to himself. He didn't know if he was ready to sleep alone yet, but he was glad that when he was, he'd have a place to go that wasn't a mausoleum. He did chuckle a bit at Andy's question, before responding playfully, "Well, the theme of the week seems to be magic, so I'd guess that." He couldn't think of any other way for something like this to fly, and he considered if it were otherwise possible, the rest of the world would have figured out how to make these a long time ago.

Oliver Sullivan

Oli was uncomfortable at the idea that these people were somehow his family, just because he was apparently an Inhuman like them. On one level, it was nice to see that this race felt a kinship that humans lacked, but at the same time, being raised human, that word meant something special to him. Nobody could just show up in your life, and start insisting they were your family, genetics notwithstanding. He wasn't angry at them or anything, he just felt like that word was being misapplied here, and it felt like more of a manipulation than anything.

As Cass and Bonnie were whisked away, he was immediately concerned. Cass had been hocking up blood before, and was looking like she was almost on death's door. A look of anger crossed his face towards the queen, but it fell as the situation was explained. Some warning beforehand would have been nice, but honestly he wanted his teammates healthy over being here. He almost felt like she shouldn't have come in the first place, given her condition, but that was the nature of being a shield agent, you put your duty before your life.

Following the team back to the Quinjet, he was somehow both pleasantly surprised and incredibly worried about the news that they'd be going to Cardiff. That was where he came from, after all, and it was always nice to go home, something that he wasn't able to do much as an agent. But they were going there on work, and more importantly, they expected the people who razed this city to be heading their as well. He couldn't let Cardiff to become the next Attilan, and now, given his recent acquisition of powers, he might be able to do something to prevent that from happening. Before any of that though, he had to set things right with the team. A house divided could not stand, and after what he did, he practically took a sledgehammer to any kind of trust they had in him.

"That's th' one thing we can't tell ya'." Eliza shook her head, "Sorry and all, but tradition is tradition, and trust me, you'll be glad ye waited." She wasn't about to spoil something like that for a kid, even if they asked for it. Sometimes kid's didn't know what was best for them, and she firmly believed this was one of those times. Any other day, she might mes with them a bit, and tell them they'd be sorted in a series of challenges, or some fun lie, but they deserved better than that right now. Aurors on the train was likely to scare any kid, and she knew there was a time and place for such chicanery. Instead, she continued to focus on deflection, wracking her brain for something to talk about.

"And ye, Fae gets in trouble a tiny bit, hair trigger temper and all." Elizabeth admitted, shrugging, "But she really 'as a heart of a lion, even fer a Gryffindor. Puts it to good work too." Fae was one of the few people that had Elizabeth's persistent and true respect, she's more than earned it by now, and she didn't mind letting people know that. "But, 'ere's a better question for ye kids, which house do you wanna be in?" That seemed like it'd be a good and fun way to break up tension. Her main goal right now was trying to move their minds away from the Aurors on the train, to try to keep them under control and from freaking out. She gave a comforting smile towards the white haired girl, seeing she was much more nervous than any of the others, "Ey, I don't think we got yer name. I'm Eliza, if ye haven't picked up on that yet. Eliza Flame."

Eliza shuddered as a blast hit her again. This wasn't her best day so far, even if things had been going pretty well beforehand. She supposed there was a learning curve to this whole x-woman thing, but acknowledging that didn't help mitigate the pain in any way. Scurrying through the door, she found the nearest spot that gave her total cover, and relaxed a bit. "Anybody have any tips on not getting hit?" She sputtered, rubbing her burns in an attempt to calm down the pain a bit. "Y'all make this stuff look easy, but it ain't." Looking around a bit, she hoped the Chitauri weren't following them, needing a break from dealing with those monsters.

As she took a short reprieve, she looked at Antoinette and said, "How on earth do we plan for something we know nothing about?" This Surfer character was a big question mark as far as she was concerned, and wasting time planning would only give him more time to prep for them, "I say we strike while the iron is hot, rush in there, and grab the nullifier as fast as we can. Best I understand it, our goal is that. Once we have it, we get out of there." That seemed like the best course of action to her, and short of the time it took her to regain her composure, she didn't want to waste a second.
Arthur Stanford

Location:Ship

The ship was something to be beheld, if not just for the sheer size of it. The wonder of it all just wasn't enough to keep him from his gloom though, and it was starting to irk him how hard these feelings were to shake. He'd considered before the idea of an afterlife fundamentally comforting, that it would make death something nothing to fear, but now he understood things a bit better. There was something that put him at ease about the fact that he knew Ash still lived on in one form or another, but the fact that he wouldn't be seeing her for a very long time stung almost as much as the idea that he'd never see her again.

He considered Andy's offer for a moment, unsure if he wanted to be alone or not. He was initially planning on wandering the ship sure, but being alone might hurt him more than help him in the long run. Sequestering himself from everyone would just let this pain brood, and he couldn't afford to let that happen. He needed to train still, to fight on for something. Being a lump and sad about everything would just put the others at risk, if something dangerous were to happen on their journey, and then he'd be responsible for the death of somebody he cared about, and that couldn't come to pass. So he nodded at Andy and said, "Yeah, let's take a tour. Help get our minds off things, you know?"

Oliver gave a hmm at Crystal's response. That didn't quite mesh with the teams response to what he did. If people could end up fine after multiple terrigenesises, the fear over what happened to Matt wouldn't've happened. This seemed at least nonstandard, if not impossible. That told him that they were missing some key piece of information. As they continued into the palace, and heard what Medusa had to say, he pursed his lips. No, if the flooding was intentional, and not some kind of malfeasance, then there was only one variable left, the mist itself. Thinking for a moment, he posed a question to the queen.

"Is this the same kind of Terrigen mist we've seen before, or is the risk from multiple terrigenesis somehow mitigated from it?" He asked, looking over to Medusa, "I assume you wouldn't risk virtually guaranteeing the death of all of Earth's inhumans as a result of that, or is there something else we're all missing here?" The only other possible explanation, was that these fully realized inhumans were so powerful that, even if their existence were incredibly rare, it would be worth the risk. Those were the only two ways to make the numbers add up to him; Lower the probability of death, or increase the positive impact of success.
