Bio

I'm a 32 year old woman just looking to keep those writing muscles in whatever shape I can. I'm also Canadian, so fill the rest of this bio with every stereotype you can think of. I've also been single for over a year now, so clearly I'm a catch.

She is fucking joking, right? She can't actually do this.

Jade was sure this wasn't possible. An entire year of students placed on ACADEMIC probation? That couldn't be allowed. How the hell was anything that would have happened on the weekend be allowed to so drastically alter the entire year on something completely unrelated! This was unacceptable!

Of course, who was she to talk about unacceptable? The events of Saturday night rang clear as day in her mind. No matter how resplendent it seemed in the moment. The fact that for once she felt so carefree as to jump into the lake in just her underwear with Joey Hart. As to KISS Joey Hart. It was so confusing. It felt so good, but was so wrong. It didn't live in the black and white world. It was well in those shades of grey that people talk about.

It was why Jade couldn't bear to show herself yesterday. She went for her run around 9pm, just to try and avoid having to talk to her fellow sisters about what exactly went down. In case Joey and Lottie decided to have some words. It was not Jade's place to create drama. At least none that directly involved Miss Beaumonte. That bitch was going to hear about this. If Jade Scott ended up being booted from the soccer team, the press would certainly hear about it. She wanted Evil Jade, she would get Evil Jade. Now that Jade knew Evil Jade was real. Although why Evil Jade would allow Nate to touch her boobs who needed to apologize for it was beyond her. Must have been a mistake text.

Speaking of which, the star athlete was stewing in the halls when she was interrupted by what seemed like a very driven Charlotte Diedrikson walking away towards the exits. She looked just as unhappy has Jade was, but it was coming from an opposite direction. Unless she was so pissed at the developing events that she an about face to pace in the hallways, there was something else going on. What the hell? She wasn't that pissed when she left, was she? Of course, how the hell would I know? Fuck, I hope it's not my fault. Wait, why would it be my fault? What did I do? ...What didn't I do? Ugh... I... fuck.

Jade dashed into a nearby bathroom and started running the sink, splashing some water on her to try and snap herself back into some kind of reality. There was no way Lottie would be hunting for her. It didn't make sense. Of course, it also didn't make sense that some asshole would sellout their entire year to the fun police, but things this year didn't seem to want to make sense so far. As the cold liquid attempted to reboot her system, she couldn't think about anything else right now other than the frigid feelings on her face. And that was probably for the best at the moment.

She's having a fucking laugh, right? She can't actually do that...

Kieran was still a bit in shock after the assembly. The early wake up call didn't help matters. While hangovers didn't have much of an impact on the Newfoundlander, having to wake up before 10 am did. Even if it was 90 minutes later back home on the Rock. Still didn't matter. Certainly doesn't help to get the news that the esteemed head of the campus decided to drop.

First, the fact that she actually knew about it meant there was a snitch in the ranks. Anyone who squeals is instantly ostracized for breaking the code in the locker room and Kieran adhered to those tenets in life. A gentleman doesn't kiss and tell, and a brother doesn't sell out a brother. Whoever went to the top sold out an entire class of students. Not cool.

Second, academic probation was not something Kieran could afford right now. He managed to slide through with a 2.3 GPA last year, but he could ill-afford being dropped down even further. Coach Smolinski wasn't exactly strict with the grades, but he still cracked the whip enough to keep the heat off. Besides, how was Kieran going to attract those NHL scouts if he wasn't able to play any games?

It all stunk. It stunk to high heaven. It stunk like the April catch of the day in July. But there was nothing Kieran could do about it.

He wasn't a trust fund baby. He didn't have any famous fathers. He was just here to make the hockey team look good, and it wasn't even good enough for a Frozen Four invite last year. There was no way he could guarantee safety.

It just made him mad. Something very difficult to do to the usually even-keeled Canadian, but it was frustrating. On the way out of the assembly, he punched a nearby drinking fountain hard enough to stick the button in the on position, to the dismay of eco-activists everywhere. His phone was buzzing. He didn't care to look at it right now. He just had to find some way to release this frustration.

That was not how Emilia envisioned getting confirmation of her worst fears of this trip.

Yes, seeing Katie stirred up some very negative emotions, but at least there was hope that things could be set aside there. Hope that they could at least maybe, faintly, talk through some things without Emilia breaking down like a Zambian wristwatch, but Katie had mostly left her alone since Emilia arrived on the scene. It was something she was grateful for.

However, she also knew Val would likely be an issue. She just didn't know it would be such an issue for AJ. The poor boy. She didn't know what exactly Val did to him, but judging from the way he fell to the ground, it had to be something completely disorienting and painful.

Josie tried to pawn the task of giving Valeria her beverage onto Emilia, but the blonde had other ideas at the moment. Besides, one of them could leave the strawberry frappe in the middle of the pavement for Val to claim whenever she calmed herself down. Instead, Emilia was more focused on the injured party. With Josie being designated to hold Sami's jacket, it was more imperative that one of them tend to the wounded. Although one could always stop for more compliments, especially when they come from someone as lovely as Chloe.

"Lolo, you are too kind! In more ways than one! And Nainai's baozi is still the best in Los Angeles!" Emilia quickly finished her chosen bun before grabbing a couple of the drinks that her and Josie still had control over. "Josie, you saw her right?" she whispered to her best friend. "Right now, me trying to hand Val a drink would be like having Lady Gaga in her meat dress trying to feed a starving tiger. I know that won't end well. Besides," she looked over at AJ. "I think I can be more useful elsewhere. Guard the rest of the drinks for a sec, OK?"

Emilia took one of her spare orange sodas and AJ's drink order to the now fallen man who looked like he was experiencing a pain that she would never understand. If nothing else, Emilia had enough experience tending to Sami's battle scars to at least offer some comfort. Aleks would do what he could, but he didn't have drinks.

"Hey AJ!" she said, probably a little too cheerily given the situation. "Thanks for inviting me on the trip! Are you all right? Do you need some ice? I don't really have any but this soda is still nice and cold! Plus I have your drink right here! Maybe that will help?"

As Emilia struggled to put Katie out of her mind, at least for the time being, she did get some help in that attempt from her friends. Apparently, not only was the new leather jacket a hit, but swapping in Josie's leggings were really making the outfit pop. And the comments she was getting!

"God Emi, you pulling your best Sandy from Grease impression with that look. It’s badass, hermosa.”

Emilia did like Grease, but her being Olivia Newton-John? No, she couldn't be that cool. Could she? Maybe was Sami was going a little overboard. He was always so kind to her. Like the brother she never had. But Sami did know badass. He had the scars to prove it. Maybe she could take it for what it was.

"I'm diggin' the outfit, Emi... I really like that leather jacket."

Ivy giving her compliments like that though? Now Emilia was starting to feel a lot better about everything. Ivy had a good eye for good looks. If she was impressed, that meant Emilia really did nail this whole road trip outfit.

"Emi, digging the jacket, it’s a good look."

Freaking Leon though? Leon Barnes, star athlete? Him noticing? OK. That clinches it. Bad momma Emi is a look that I have to keep available on demand. This is working out too well.

Emilia was blushing at this point. "Thank you so much, everyone! I'm glad you like it! I like it too! Makes me feel really cool and stuff!" There was a lot of food being passed around and if she hadn't been convinced to get a breakfast bagel at McDonald's, she would have been attacking the pancakes and the buns with the ferocity of someone who finally had given up on keto. As it was, she was contend to feed on the compliments. "I can't believe everyone made so much food! That's amazing! I can't wait to have some when we get rolling! Think I'm going to need a table for when I attack this feast!"

However, a stray thought did cross her mind as she basked in the glow of a moderately successful entrance. Katie's still here, you know. And if AJ is organizing this, Val is going to be here too. Can you take all those negative vibes? Of course you can't. You can't take anything. That's why you-

Emilia quickly shook her head in an attempt to ward off what was certain to be another breakdown waiting to happen. Luckily there were still plenty of distractions. "You know what? On second thought, let me at some baozi! Can't disappoint Nainai!" The reverence for a grandmother's cooking and the smell of the steamed buns were enough to guide Emilia's mind away from the growing shouting coming from the area of the RV.
