"Right. Here goes nothing." Adam said as he wrapped his arm around Kijani as tight as he could. Satisfied that he wasn't going to drop her, he leapt forward. For a moment, Adam felt completely weightless as he soared through the air, princess under his arm. Even as the blaster bolts whizzed past, the young Jedi felt the durasteel ground hit his feet. He let go of the cord, and got a few feet before he realized he was still trying to carry the princess. "Sorry." he said as he let her go and continued running.

As the pair of them ran, Adam noticed the Stormtroopers and blaster shots begin to lessen. Are they really breaking off? Why stop chasing us now? After a moment of not seeing any more imperials, Adam slowed his run and tried to catch his breath.

"Do they know something we don't?" he asked no one in particular. Even as he spoke, he knew something had to be terribly wrong. Worst still, he had no idea if they were even remotely close to the Falcon. And where the hell was Obi-wan?

Then it hit him. The full power of the darkside was suddenly all around him. It was darker and more terrible than anything Adam felt before. He felt his breath begin to quicken as fear and adrenaline coursed through him. From the other side of the hall sounded a strange, mechanical noise that almost sounded like... breathing?
Adam listened to Kijani while they ran, and found he couldn't bring himself to disagree. At least they had saved her father, so now all that needed to happen was to get back to the Falcon and get the hell out. Everything would be alright after that. That's what he told himself anyway.

Adam skidded to a halt in front of a massive, empty chasm. Looking down, it seemed to go on forever. "Why the hell would anyone built this?" he said incredulously. "What purpose could this possibly serve other than to kill your staff!?" Glancing at the other side of the chasm, he saw a door open and more blaster bolts fly towards them. He quickly raised his saber to deflect, and sent one bolt flying back.

The other, however, glanced off his blade and went into a nearby control panel. "I hope that's not the controls for the bridge..." he said to himself. Sure enough, it was. With a twenty foot gap in front of them and Stormtroopers behind, Adam was starting to run out of ideas.

"Does that belt have a grappling hook?" he asked Kijani, looking up at a large durasteel fixture. That thing looked heavy enough to support their weight.
"Right." Adam said, tossing his blasters. The scummy water probably ruined the power packs, anyway, so there was no point in lugging them around. The young Jedi gripped his lightsaber but didn't ignite it. "Hopefully they've lost our trail for now. If we can hurry back to the ship before they realize where we are, we can get out, no problem."

As he spoke, Adam heard a soft sloshing noise from behind him. It was possible that there was something in the compactor with them. Not that he planned on sticking around long enough to find out.

Once Kijani opened the door, Adam rushed forward with his lightsaber drawn, hoping there weren't a platoon of troopers with blasters aimed right at the door. Instead, he nearly collided with a seven foot wall of smelly hair.

"What's the rush, kid?" said Han, equally surprised. Both were carrying Imperial blaster rifles. "Is that your dad?" Han nudged at Bail.

"Yea, but what the hell are you guys doing here? What happened to staying at the ship?" Adam asked. Chewbacca laughed while Han looked incredulous. "Don't look at me, Chewie talked me into it. But, hey, know that we've found eac-"

Before Han could finish his sentence, the corridor erupted in blaster fire. "There they are! Take them down!" said the metallic voicebox of a Stormtrooper's helmet. Adam batted a few of the bolts away as best as he could, but it wouldn't last. They had to get out of here.

"Split up! Meet up back at the ship!" yelled Han, grabbing the senator and pulling him down the hall. Adam hoped that he would be safe with Han and Chewie, but he couldn't think about that for now.

"Let's go, princess!" Adam said before running down the hall, leaving the Stormtroopers behind.
Bail Organa didn't need much encouragement. "You be right behind us!" he said before booking it to the garbage chute. Without thinking, he jumped right in.

After a short drop, the senator found himself nearly waist deep in sewage. This must be the refuse pit for the entire detention level. he thought to himself, just as he heard another splash from behind him. Expecting to see his daughter, he was greeted by the young man who was accompanying her.

"Sorry if it isn't glamorous, but we didn't exactly have a plan for this." the young man said as he tried in vain to wipe sewage off his imperial officer's jacket.

"It's fine. I'm just glad to be out." said Bail. "Who are you, anyway?"

"Right. We didn't have time for introductions. My name is Adam Skywalker." Adam said while sticking his hand out.

Just like that, a flood of memories came rushing back to Bail Organa. He remembered needing to leave his pregnant wife to travel to Polis Massa. He remembered Obi-wan cradling a newborn baby boy. He remembered learning that Padme had died giving birth.

So, this is the son of Anakin Skywalker. the senator thought to himself while shaking Adam's hand, just as another splash sounded. That must be Kijani.
Bail crushed her daughter in a massive bear hug, completely unable to believe his good fortune. His daughter, despite all the odds, was alive and here to rescue him. How did she get here? Did she find Obi-Wan? How were they getting out? And who was doing all the shooting down the hall?

"Right, tell me later." Bail said as he left the cell. A stray blaster-bolt whizzed past his head, and the senator ducked down low, pushing his daughter to do the same.

"Stay low, both of you." said a young blonde man with a blaster rifle in each hand, unloading them towards the elevators. Bail thought he recognized the man for a second, but he put it from his mind for now.

"Now that you've got me out, now where do we go?" asked Bail, scrambling for cover.

"Honestly, I don't think we excepted to get this far." said the young man, firing again at a stormtrooper out of cover. "We better think of something before they get the heavy weapons up here."
Adam balked at Kijani when she opened fire on the Stormtroopers. He was expecting more negotiating, but he supposed they weren't here to play nice. When she took off down the prison hall, Adam shouted back to her.

"I'll stay back here. Someone's gotta cover the exit!" he said while reaching for the discarded blasters on the ground. He considering ditching the weapons and going with his lightsaber, but decided against it. He didn't want to declare himself as a Jedi until it was absolutely necessary.

He took an E-11 blaster rifle in each hand. The weapons were small enough to be carried and fired one handed, if not accurately. Thankfully, the reception area for the prison level was small, and the range would be very short. Adam trained his weapons on the door and waited for the soldiers who were definitely coming now.

Bail Organa sat in the cold, durasteel prison cell, head hanging in shame. He still blamed himself for what happened to Alderaan, and his only comfort was that Kijani was far, far away from Alderaan when it happened. The older man wondered if he would ever see her again. Maybe it would be for the best if he didn't. Hopefully she would stay far away from Yavin 4 before the Death Star arrived.

For a second, he thought he was finally losing his mind. For a second, he thought he heard his daughter's voice outside his door. "Whose there?" he said, not sure whether to be relieved or horrified.
"You're right. That is sort of a plan." Adam said. "But it might just be crazy enough to work." As they made their way through the service corridor, Adam adjusted his uniform and tried to make himself look as presentable as possible.

"There. How do I look?" Adam said in the best posh, Coruscantian accent he could muster. Imperial officers were usually recruited from the high society, and many of them had borderline obnoxious accents. It always sounded like everyone was beneath them, which might be a useful trait when dealing with Stormtroopers.

When the pair reached the doors to the detention level, Adam took a deep breath. "Ready? Here we go." He straighten his spine and walked through the doors like he owned the place. Waiting for them was a single officer in black and a group of Stormtroopers.

"We are here to move the prisoner to the holoprojector room. The Emperor himself wishes to question him."

"Why wasn't I notified of this?" The prison officer looked quite shocked that the Emperor had taken an interest in his prisoner. "I'm going to have to clear this with Lord Vader."

As the officer reached for his comm device, Adam gave Kijani a panic looked. "I can't mind trick that many guys. What do we do?" he whispered to her, though he instinctively reached for his blaster.
Adam nodded, while Han looked incredulous. "This is crazy. Marching into the detention area is not an option." he said. Adam knew his gripes were completely justified, but they couldn't leave the senator behind.

"If you don't want to get involved, then you can stay here." Adam said. "We can move around alot easier with the two of us, and we need someone to start the ship up once Master Obi-Wan gets the tractor beam off.

"Fine. But if you arn't back in two hours, I'll leave you all here." Han said with a shrug.

Once Adam and Kijani left Han, Chewie and the droids in the control room, Adam whispered to Kijani, trying not to draw attention from any of the imperials.

"Sorry about Han, but at least you have me to kick around. Let's find your dad."
Artoo beeped in affirmation, turning his dome to look at Kijani. "Artoo says he has been here for only a few hours, and that he is currently scheduled... to be terminated."

At this, Adam shot up. "We can't leave without him! If they find out we're here, they'll think we're a rescue party and execute him on the spot!" As the droid pulled up the blueprints on the small terminal screen, Han interjected.

"Kid, there are only four of us against a massive imperial battle station." he said, not even bothering to include the droids. "These disguises are only going to get us so far. Even if we get the senator and get back to the ship, this all depends on the old man getting the reactors off."

"So either we leave him here and he dies, or we go after and we might get lucky." Adam said. He knew it was a long shot, but he couldn't stand leaving someone helpless in this horrible place. He turned to Kijani.

"It's your call. Either way, I'll follow your lead." Han simply shrugged and rolled his eyes.
Adam, Kijani and Han walked out of the Falcon and onto the flight deck of the Death Star. Adam tried his best to act like he owned the place, and no one seemed to notice three more faceless soldiers in the bustle. Han nudged Adam slightly and gestured up to a small room overseeing the hanger with a few helmeted flight controllers inside. Adam guessed that was the control room, so he made his way there.

He stopped at the door, giving a nod to Kijani and Han before taking a deep breath and stepping into the small room. The two flight controllers turned to him, reaching for their belts.

"Who are you? Are you authorized to be here?" One of them said. Adam waved his hand over both of them.

"You two should take a break. There is fresh caf in the breakroom." Rather than stiffening and blankly obeying him, one turned to the other. Adam stopped himself from muttering a curse and reached for his lightsaber.

"It's about time for our break, so maybe we should just go now?" One officer said to the other. The other just shrugged and turned to leave.

"Try not to mess anything up while were gone, okay?" The senior officer said as the pair left the room.

"What the hell was that about?" asked Han through his helmet vox unit.

"I don't know, but it worked, right?" said Adam with a shrug. "Close enough."

Chewbacca and the two droids entered the room not long after, and Artoo immediately went to one of the large computers and started using his scomp-link. After just a moment, he beeped.

"R2 says he has downloaded a blueprint for this level of the station. He thinks it might be useful." said Threepio Before anyone could say anything else, the droid began to chirp very loudly. If the gold protocol droid could emote surprise and alarm, he tried to do so now.

"According to Artoo, Senator Organa is being held on the prison level."
