@Member 00492 God's will is mostly for utility and the shockwave while powerful is not super powerful. Divine shapes is mainly based upon God's ability to create things, he can only create basic shapes at the moment. I understand your concerns but given his weaknesses I thought they easily balanced out his powers

I get why he has the powers, and that he's supposed to be like the Spectre and Phantom Stranger. However both of those characters are too powerful and would have to be dumbed down to work in this as well. He can hurl lightning, move stuff with his mind, enhance his melee strikes, cause shock waves, create stuff, heal people, and sense the supernatural. That's basically everything a GL can do plus a couple powers. He's also too young.

If you'd be willing to cut the powers down for now, if this RP lasts awhile and we have enough missions his character evolution could be gaining some of the abilities later on. He'd still need to be aged up to 20-21 though. I'd make creating stuff, shock waves, and healing people come later.

The rest of the sheet is great. IDK about calling him the second best detective next to Batman though... especially at 26.

I forgot to mention Superman, Batman, and GL will all be in their late 40's to early 50's. The whole reason for the JLU happening will be a little different. Depending on who applies with who, two other heroes will be picked to have been in the 'older JL'. Those two will have been killed and now the remaining JL founders are recruiting heroes to one day protect the world without them if and when they finally get taken down or retire.

@Weird Tales Reminds me of your guy from Futures End. He needs to be aged up to at least 20-21. 'Divine Shapes' also seems like too much and another potential recruit is looking to use the Ray who's essentially a dumbed down GL. 'God's Will' is basically telekinesis with a couple sub-powers, however sub-powers are powers all the same. An area attack, enhancing punches, AND moving stuff with your mind is already formidable enough. And you've got more powers beyond that.

@Experiment 249 The demon and the angel both have too many powers. The neutral side is good to go. Hope to see this sheet finished! Puts me in the mind of Man-E-Faces from He-Man. First a guy with 'Four categories of powers' and now a guy with three forms like a Super Saiyan. You guys did see where I said not to get too nuts? Both are still good distinct characters. It's cool if you wanna be magic/supernatural themed, just leave some powers for others. If somebody applied with Dr. Fate and wiki listed everything he's ever done I'd even tell them to trim it down.

@WXer Accepted! Reminded me more of Negative Man with a dash of Ironman. I'm giddy the first hero accepted is based on Negative Man. This just made my 4th LOL.

I'm going to work on my own CS tonight and take a look at what's already been posted.

For original characters... know that if you have more than like six powers you're gonna have to make some edits. The main reason why I take Lanterns off the table is because there's always that one RPer who looks at a wiki list of powers and sees every single application for GL power that's ever been used [even if it was only ever done once] and thinks they need every power. To most people Green Lantern is a guy who can fly, shoot green lasers, and make glowing green constructs. And that is exactly what they were made to be. However in specific stories GL's have caused nuclear explosions, moved planets, created planets, mimicked telepathy, time traveled, made pocket dimensions, performed life saving surgery, created wormholes, etc. Nobody needs that kinda power in a group RP. And you've gotta save some powers for other players. It's not that I won't accept anybody with similar powers, but know that if I do it won't be many. If I got CS's for a dozen powerless vigilante Batman types... I MIGHT accept maybe four.

I want players in large quantity for this, but not at the cost of quality. In some cases you could probably just make the descriptions shorter and group some abilities together. For example... Superman has a ton of powers. To trim them down a little I'd put 'heightened physical attributes, sensory based powers including heat and x-ray vision, and flight. Bing bang BOOM. I'd likely ask their physical limits and then we'd know what kinda raw strength and speed everyone has. But yeah, I specifically said 'don't get too nuts' so if you did I'll likely skip powers and look at the rest of the CS for now and get back to you.

Oh, and my character will be the classic non-android Manhunter. Also not to be confused with everyone's favorite Martian...

Approaching the Guild's 10 year anniversary

Back in '11 I followed a friend and RP partner from another site over here to stop a guy from plagiarizing our RP, and @Mahz took care of that **** quick. Since that time I've RP'ed with more people, created more characters, and used various themes and settings for some of the best superhero role plays I've ever seen in any format. When Guildfall was upon us I felt like I'd lost a hand. I was happy to see there were others waiting for the return, and I'm glad to see many of my friends and old acquaintances come back! My wife even found time to join the site and took part in several RPs...

Here's to another ten years of characters and friendships! And thanks to Mahz and everyone else involved with making this place what it is.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure in the ep where Supergirl goes to the future then stays with the Legion, it's implied it's her 21st birthday. So long as the young hero is now a young adult and at least 20-21 we're good.

Yeah Sand was the original Sandman's sidekick 'Sandy the Golden Boy' after the Sandman took up wearing purple and yellow spandex rather than a gasmask and coat. He's Sanderson Hawkins and also had the ability to become sand, something his mentor never did.

I only say him once or twice in the background of the show, I noticed in the group pic up top just how many of those characters are Justice Society... Stargirl, STRIPE, Dr. Mid-Nite, Dr. Fate, Hourman, Wildcat, Atom Smasher, and Obsidian. If you count the JSA reserves and include past members of alt Earths, the 7 Soldiers of Victory, etc... like they did in the comics... you'd also include the Ray, Vigilante, Shining Knight, and Huntress.

So... suffice to say if there's a DCU character not usually associated with the Justice League you want to apply with... let's see it. Constantine, Etrigan the Demon, Azrael, Starfire, a timelost Legion of Superheroes member like Cosmic Boy or Saturn Girl, Grifter [Wildstorm characters could still be used in this], Icon [Milestone characters too, he was only a member in the YJ toon], etc. Instead of Atom Smasher... what if Giganta reformed?!? What if Capt. Cold got League status [he did in the comics for like 5 minutes along with Lex Luthor but nothing came of it...]?!

EDIT: And everybody applying remember... if there's more than one hero on your mind and we still need to build the ranks, after two missions you can have a secondary character.
