Hello out there! My name's Mason. I like a lot of random stuff like comics, Masters of the Universe, M*A*S*H, X-Files, conspiracy theories, as well as a good superhero themed role play! I'm more of a DC freak than a Marvel zombie but I did grow up on mutants and 3rd string heroes. Once in awhile I'll make a few micros in MSPaint for my RP's because I love designing heroes as much as I do writing/reading about them. I'm about to try and get another Amalgam Universe themed game off the ground, if you're interested gimme a shout!

I've been RP'ing for awhile. I mostly RP to keep my writing skills up to par, and I generally RP between Casual and Advanced. I've been a member of the guild for quite a bit, pre Guildfall even. Ninety percent of the time you'll find me in some superhero themed RP or something based off of another fandom like MotU or Power Rangers. Currently in the process of developing my own comics!
Favorite DC heroes (I won't go into villains to save space) in no order: Aquaman, Hawkman, Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Superboy (the clone), Swamp Thing, Starman, Animal Man, the Ray (90's era), Impulse, Captain Atom, and Batman Beyond.
Favorite Marvel heroes list: Human Torch I & II, Capt. Mar-Vell, Black Bolt, the classic Destroyer, Havok, Multiple Man, classic Scarlet Spider, Spiderman 2099, Nova, and Colossus.
OTHER FAVORITES: Space Ghost, Haunt, the Maxx, Shadowhawk, Green Hornet, Madman, Doctor Star/Andromeda, the Phantom, He-Man, and Zorro.
@Sir Lurksalot Yeah you're still gonna be THE guy in jeans and a t shirt. Any other new players/rookie heroes would have to begin getting suits and aliases... but you're good.
After three Eps with your guy, you should have an idea of an alias and suit.
I figure so long as everybody doesn't try to be the MVP at the same time, each Ep. would maybe get three posts per player? Was gonna set up a piratepad for the groups to collaborate on so posts can have more fluid interactions between players and really get the feel of the JLU right. None of the opening missions are meant to be longer ones, just the big-everybody-included mission[s].
Two a day would be less of a hassle if players jump in and get like 8 or 9 posts total in each Ep. The initial steam would let off after everybody gets broke in I think. Ep. 1 & 2 today, 3 & 4 tomorrow? I've still gotta finish tweaking the Ep group list, switch us around, and place a couple people in different spots. I just don't want either of us getting bogged down with too much mentoring each day. Today you get your character in a mission with Batman, I get to mentor with GL and get everybody going in Midway. OOOOh man what I twist I have in mind for that episode.
This is gonna be awesome.
That's not to say something completely out of left field won't happen tomorrow when Lobo and Superman meet for the first time. It's essentially a take on their first meeting in the comics that ended with one of my 'favorite scenes involving Superman' of all time.
Approved his list. Should have everything ready to go to begin the RP sometime today. I *think* we might stagger the Eps a day between each other, but I'll have to check with LW.
Ep. 1 - Rebirth - After the first wave of recruits are brought into Metro Tower, Batman takes a squad to investigate reports in St. Roch about a humanoid lion man.
Ep. 2 - Mad World - Brainwave causes chaos in Midway City trying to impress his peers in supervillainy.
Mentor: Green Lantern
Group: Toon Girl, Capt. Marvel, Judgement, GYPSY, New God (pre approved) __________________________________
Ep. 3 - Training Day - Batman asks a former teacher [Wildcat] to train some of the newer heroes without costumes, aliases, or any field experience.

Group: the Rookie, Dark Messiah (pre approved), ANY OTHER NEW RECRUITS ______________________________________________
Ep. 4 - The Fallen - An alien biker falls from the stars and the League sends a team to investigate.
Mentor: Superman
Group: Mr. Clutch, Solara, Polarity Man, RAVAGER _________________________________________
Ep. 5 - Kids These Days - Most of the League is turned into old folks by the villain Extant and only the unaffected heroes can save them before somebody dies.
Mentor: None
Group: Everyone will be involved in this one, either as an elderly version of yourself or one of the few who's gonna save us.
Unaffected heroes: Gonna leave this up in the air actually. After I see what you guys and gals are made of I'll make a list of who's gonna save our elderly asses. _______________________________________________________

@Lord Wraith We can switch missions for our characters if you wanna be Bats. I've got my fill of him in my other two RPs. I had honestly found ways to mostly keep the mentors off screen or use them in a simple way that takes them away from the action. I'll take Superman and GL, you okay with Bats along with Wildcat training noobs? Bats is pretty much as he is in the comics. He's been Batman about half his lifetime or more and in his 50's and gray. Some smaller version of the JSA existed in WWII, which is where Wildcat would've began. You can say he's on his third life of nine LOL. Make the JSA a 5 person team, just remember you can't use Alan. Can write little blurbs like I did for the three remaining founders of the League if you want.
@Lord Wraith If you think you're up for it. I've already got an idea for the next five Eps after the initial five, so you don't have to help too much with the story ATM. And I don't wanna give away any spoilers if I don't have too LOL.

Moved the story along a little more. If it wasn't clear in the post, while the group got in mostly undetected thanks to Ka'Van... Bane showed up with more goons and the generator kicked on and the lights returned. Batman and Slade already got the girls out of there.
