Cool,sounds good thanks

I guess I'll make an OOC
@knighthawk
Yes that sounds about right.
Here is the character sheet, no over powered characters will be accepted. Think Waterworld in a D&D setting.

Name:
Age:
Race:
Class:

Appearance: (pic or atleast a paragraph describing your character.)

Personality: (how dose your character act?)

Alignment: (are you good, nutral, evil or somewhere inbetween? )

Diety: (do you follow a faith? Why?)

Skills: (what have you been trained in?)

Weapons: (what weapons dose your character have? Limit two weapons per character at start. Remember that weapons are made from bone, synth or wood if your lucky. There are metal weapons in Azmier but they are somewhat rare. They will become available later.)

Items: (what items do you possess. Example, net, fishing rod, boots, a piece of paper, an old dilapidated hat.) Limit a few items.

Boat: (do you have a raft, small boat, small scrap ship or do you not own a boat and live on a floating shanty. Or perhaps you live in three trees or the kingdom of Nair? Possibly Drandlebar the tinker gnome city?) The better your boat the less items, weapons you get.

Background: (what happened to your character before this point. Must be at least a paragraph but would like to see longer.)
@knighthawk
Great question, in Azmier the Genasi have become Slightly rare, there are obviously water Genasi here and there but by no means common and playing one will be limit one player. You have to remember that on Azmier the population is low as is.
Fire Genasi are pretty much extinct or have fled back to the elemental chaos. Wind, lightning and earth Genasi are present but not common.

There are no limits on Tieflings or regular Halflings.

The races that live Well over 200 years very likely where alive during the "old world" having lived through the apocalyptic big wave some how. You might have been young or older during the old world. Obviously Humans among other races can't live 200 years in most cases so all preasent humans would be decedents.

Magic has been all but lost, wizards need books to study and regiments to use. Most of witch have been destroyed during the big wave or sunken to the deep depths. Some magic users of old are present but with out paper and quill pen how should you make a spell book? Seaweed paper is available but I can't stress enough how devastated this world is. Think Waterworld but in a D&D setting. Since most dragons died during or after the big wave magic has been decimated. Aquatic/sea dragons as well as two or three regular dragons survive today. The floating shanty towns are vital to survival in most cases since you may purchase supplies or stay and live there.
Magic is most often water magic now a days for example, casting a spell to allow someone or yourself to breath underwater for ten minutes. Or shoot magic water missile. Mage or sorcerer class would be more of a support class I'm guessing.

After the big flood many gods abandoned the world. A few still make there home in Azmier for example, (gods are unique to Azmier meaning I made them up or changed them.)

Lunarus - goddes of the moon, tidewater movement and the currents.
Zypher - the god of lightning, thunder, storms and the unforgiving ocean.
Peleon - god of the sun, life, the harvest and summer.
Syshellos - the goddess of calm weather, peaceful waters, all natural ocean creatures and the forgiving ocean.
Mystic eye - the mystic eye is the Psionic energy that flows through us. (Not really a god)
Cathoric - is the god of chaos, mayhem and all unnatural beasts.
Asmodeous - the evil god of demons and the nine hells.
The Raven queen - the queen and goddess of death and undeath.

Many people live in three trees, it has an open door policy un like the kingdom of Nair in witch you have to become a resident to stay longer then a few days. Although finding the city is a task in it self. A pin prick in a whole world ocean.
Three trees has many districts and markets. Spanning from a slum to a "high canopy club" that lives high up with in the canopy. The tree city is mind blowing how the branches and plant life had been molded by the ancient druids to form this whole city. Vines intertwine, overlap and spiral along with branches and other plants to create pathways, buildings and every thing else. A city within three trees. Much fruit, vegetables, nuts are grown by the druids. They also have a great aquaculture farm. Fish and other sea food is harvested by the cities fisherman.
@DocTachyon
I'm out sorry. Good luck guys.
@Emma
Yeah totally, would love players :) hopefully more come through.

There are several locations of interest on Azmier besides floating shanty towns, some include.

Three trees: One of the only cities in all of Azmier, created by a very powerful druid and his two students. The city is built around three large trees that grow out from the deep water and soar into the sky.

The kingdom of Nair: Nair is the home of the great sorcerer Nair and everyone who resides in the city. Nair is very old and his city is as large as three tree. This is the only other city on the surface of Azmier. The city is a gargantuan piece of land that magically floats in the sky with intricate stair cases that lead up to the city.

Drandlebar: The under sea bubble city of the tinker Gnomes is a wonder to behold, with all the gadgets and technology.

The Jungle: the jungle is an area of shallow water where plants grow out from the ocean floor. The plants, viney trees and fauna have formed a thick jungle that is home to the last known species of birds and diffrent lizards and various jungle creatures. It is also the home of many vicious monsters as well as the cannibalistic tribal Halflings. Sharks hunt the shallow waters in and around the jungle.

Northern iceburgs: if you travel as north as possible you will soon encounter iceburgs that are home to yetti and other various monsters. It is extreamly cold here and only dwarves would truly be able to survive the conditions other then beasts.

Dry land: there is said to be an island hidden somewhere on Azmier yet it's only a myth and no one has ever found it, or if they did, never returned.

Anyone else?
I edited my CS, and updated the broken pics.
Let me know Thanks.

Cool!
Hello I have an idea for an RP that might be kinda cool, was going to see if there was any one interested.

______________

The wind bellows across the sails flapping harshly, the catamaran moans as the waves crash into the ship made from salvaged parts and trash. Wood is rare but he has been around for a while and has a nice piece on the main deck.
The elf hears a splash that sounds off...he dashes above deck to see a large fin sticking out of the water. The giant shark is back. .the elf pulls the bone dagger from its ray skin sheeth.

The idea is basically Waterworld X D&D. Its a world I have been building in my mind for a while now. It has a Dark Sun feel to it but it's a water world instead. A fantasy world completely underwater.
The world is called Azmier, it was once a world very close in resemblance to forgotten realms or Eberron. A fantasy world filed with magic ,Elves, Dragons and all other things that reside in a D&D world. It once had continents, islands, mountains, lakes, forests full of exotic life forms. Jungles overflowing with flora and fauna and all sorts of lizard folk and yun ti snake people.
Until the last war.
The last war was inbetween the factions of the most dominant religious groups and the factions of the primordials. Religion vrs Primordial nature.
The war raged on for many years and tore the world apart. In a last ditch effort to win the war aginst the gods, the primordials opened a gateway to an elemental plane of water. The portal was trapped open and unleashed an apocalyptic amount of water. It crashed down onto Azmiers surface creating an enormous wave that swept over the whole world. So many die that it's unfathomable, so many species go extinct that the balance of nature is completely thrown off. The world is devastated.
The story would start 200 years after the "big wave" as some call it. Things have settled for the most part but survival is very hard, impossibly hard at times. Azmier is now a very quiet place save for the sound of the ocean. Every thing is under water and the decedents of the survivors float along on there makeshift boats, ships or floating villages. You need fresh water to survive, fresh water, food and somthing to float on.
All the forests of old are under the dark waters of Azmier, wood is rare and hard to come by it is as valuable as fresh water. Metal is just as rare and hard to come by meaning weapons are made from bone or synth. Synth is a substance much like hard durable plastic. It is made from a mixture of kelp, seaweed, crushed clam shells and ground fish bones. It can be molded into diffrent shapes making it good building material and for making weapons. Any weapon made from synth, bone or wood has a chance to break in use.

Some races left Azmier, fleeing back to there native home of the feywild. The surviving races are as follows.
○ Human - Humans are hearty and some did survive.
○ Eledrin - Most Eledrin fled back to the feywild. They are very rare on Azmier.
○ Elves - Elves did survive, but most are now gypsies, cut throats or two timing thieves.
○ Half Elves - There are half Elves on Azmier.
○ Dark Elves - the Drow have survived, any who where not in the underdark at the time of the big wave where trapped on the surface. All the others within the underdark are now sealed inside, cut off from the world.
○ Half Drow - half drow are present on Azmier.
○ Sea Elf - the sea elves or aquatic Elves as some call them have dominated the new Azmier with there cities under the ocean. They interact with the surface dwellers as little as possible. This race will have a one person limit I think.
○ Dwarves - dwarven kind has suffered immensely. There numbers have been devastated and the race has been brought to the brink of extinction. Most might go there whole lives with out ever seeing a dwarf. It is said that some fled to the icy north and have managed to harvest a large ice berg that they magically keep frozen and use as a surface for a village. It's only a myth tho.
This race will have a one character limit.
○ Halfling - the Halflings have split off into two sub races. One is your avrage Halfling while the other is one that has evolved to live within the jungle. A thick expanse of plant life that is growing out from relatively shallow water. This type of halfling is fierce and tribal, they swing around and live within the jungle. They are cannibals and known to devour people in hordes. No one wants to go to the jungle, it's shallow waters are full of hungry sharks and cannibal Halflings.
○ Gnomes - while most regular Gnomes fled back to the feywild along with the Eledrin the Tinker Gnomes have survived on Azmier. The tinker Gnomes are responsible for most of the steam punk technology within Azmier. They are masters of making gadgets and responsible for creating the sea water reverseanator witch turns sea water into fresh. They are also known to have an under sea bubble city. They are said to go to and from the bubble city in steam punk submarines. They are reluctant to share technology with people and keep to them selves.
○ Orc - some orcs survived, there is known to be an orc war ship that terrorizes people.
○ Half Orc - yes, they are preasent on Azmier.
○ Goblins - All goblin kind has evolved into an amphibious new race called Aquablins, they float in and around wreckage and trash blending in. They lay in wait, sometimes for extended periods of time waiting for an unlucky boat, ship or raft to drift by. They strike all at once and cling to your vessel tearing it to bits. They want more wreckag to add to there pile. They have evolved webbed hands and feet and can hold there breath for long periods. They will be a non player race.
○ Pixie - Most fled to the feywild along with the Eledrin. They are very rare in Azmier.
○ Tiefling - A few have indeed survived.
Dragonborn - the Dragonborn are as common as humans or Tieflings.
○ Goliath - this race is on the decline but a few still survive. Many work on slaver ships, or are slaves them selves. Limit one character of this race.
○ Minotaur - this race is on the decline much like the Goliath. They are also commonly abord slaver or pirate ships.
○ Shardmind - this race is as rare as the dwarf is. People might tell a stories about a Shardmind of old.
○ Lizard folk - some did survive.
○ Yun ti - some of the snake people did survive.
Any other race not coverd ask the GM.
