Current Teaching myself web development by trying to fix some BBCode bugs/features in the Guild is probably a bad idea. Oh, well.

If school were less hard, it'd be less interesting. I still want it to be less hard, though.

Sorry about disappearing guys, thing got a little busy here. I will try to have a post up by tomorrow.

You haven't disappeared much! And, as I've been saying, you have a week to think between posts, if you want to take it. Apologize after you post, not before. Also, don't sweat it if your future posts aren't as long as your intro post; this is a casual roleplay. 1-2 paragraphs minimum.
Sure thing, Dawnscroll. I'll add you to a list.
I could see a few diplomatic boarding parties happening. I could also see some factions forming. Just speaking for the Soviets, my ship inherently doesn't trust the Americans. They did just get out of this war thing, you know.

On the other hand, I think I'm going to make diplomatic overtures toward @NanoFreakV2. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. At the very least, Venera is curious how the hell the Americans managed to get into space.
Okay, that bioship is fun.

It's interesting right now; the RP's at this crossroads. Either ships have to start trusting each other, or we open fire. Or there's a third way I'm not thinking of.

@Dawnscroll With you there would be three fanatics, actually. However, barring someone dropping, the RP is full.
As long as it's up by next Monday, I don't have a major issue. Although the average posting time for this RP seems to be about once every 2-3 days.
I don't suppose any of you have your ships' name or nation of origin emblazoned in big giant letters on the side? It matters because Venera's going to want to keep the fact that there are dirty, capitalist, American imperialists in space quiet. The official statement that the ships are crewed by aliens is a bit harder to cover up if you can look out a porthole and see Earth-writing.
Man in the High Castle is worth it, go watch it. It's got enough small details inside the series to make it feel "real". No spaceships or lasers, just alt history and vague hints of something strange going on with video reels. I like it.

I haven't actually watched anime aside from RWBY. I'm not fully opposed to anime, I just never got into it.

And, ALL of them. I have played all the command and conquer games. I played Red Alert 2 and Generals: Zero Hour the most; they were how I related to my stepdad for a while. Then I tried out Starcraft, and hated it. Damnit, if I spend $2000 on a carrier, it should last as long as a Kirov, not get shot down by $280 worth of tiny exploding flying bugs within a minute of launch.

Of course, only later did I realize the merits of Starcraft. It's fun playing a game that's so finely tuned with counter after counter; it's fun developing the skill to effectively play the first five minutes of a game. It's just a completely different brand of fun than "LOOK AT MY GIANT AIRSHIPS WITH MY GIANT TANKS AND YOU JUST GOT NUKED, FEAR MY COMMUNISM."
Sounds fine to me, @Skyrte.

@Hostile Eh. Personally, I've found that whenever I wait for just the right moment to post, it never arrives. Trust me, we can roleplay being impressed by your giant ship regardless of which post it happens to enter on. At the very least, those of us under 1km can. Better to post and keep a flow going, I think. That way you can have a thousand posts; a bunch with mediocre timing, some with perfect amazing timing, and a few forgettable ones where your timing was off but nobody remembers those anyway.

It's for that same reason that I hate intro posts. There's so much I feel like I have to get right that sometimes I don't post for, like, four days or something, and then I've lost the RP. Ultimately, there is no perfect post, just acceptably-flawed ones that some people happen to like more than others.

But I'm not going to make you post right away, obviously. Post when you want to (as long as it's within a week).
Actually, given how the Soviets were betrayed by the megalomaniacal psychic Yuri from within, meeting a ship full of psychics would be... interesting. Part of the Soviets would be naturally inclined to learn the secrets of psychic powers, if only to defend themselves against such powers. Another part would want to destroy the psychics before their "inevitable" betrayal. Naturally they'd attempt to do both at once.

That means there would be at least one period of peace in which the Advent has time to change the Soviet's minds. Teehee.
@Master Crim

Damnit, how do I keep forgetting you?

Yeah! Feel free to add more details to your character sheet whenever and in whatever manner you feel like. That goes for everyone. At this point, character sheets are more for our reference than anything else.
