4 months into this hole 'being a responsible adult thing' and I've come to a conclusion: It sucks and I want to go back to the days where I didn't have to plan out my game time.

Taking a short break from posting till Monday/Tuesday, hopefully will feel more creative and less brain-dead
can't promise there will be no Power of friendship moments(it is still a fairy tail rp) but ye, I'll give it my best shot to make things a tad more engaging and impactful.
I know that feel, always helpful to talk your ideas out. Heck that's partially the plan I have for this rp since i find the best rp experiences are those where everyone contributes to the telling and forming of the story in some fashion. Gives it more variety too.
@Sanguine RoseThanks for the interest, and you could *maybe* do an Ice Slayer depending on how you spin it to me, though I will say hoing a different type is prob better in the long run. It's up to you.
Aiden sat alone in a room that felt much too big for just one man, running a hand through his hair as he gazed at the numerous stacks of papers before him. Treasury documents, Mage's Guild Doctrine documents, Legal Permittance documents, collateral damage responsibility documents, bills for the renovation and furnishing of the Guild Hall, and the Insurances documents provided by the Mage's Guild that made sure he didn't break the bank on said renovations. These and many, many more papers required his attention and, perhaps more importantly, his signature.
"Master could've mentioned running a Guild would be so much. . . tedium." Reclining into the seat, Aiden let out a dejected sigh as he lazily reached out for the nearest document. . . only to be greeted with nothing. A moment of confusion sprung to the man's mind before he realized his mistake with a curse, sitting up straight as he looked to his side. "Goddammit."
Where his right arm should be, only empty space, phantom feelings, and the occasional throb of pain from the old wound remained. A right annoyance in many regards, not the least of which being the cursed fact that he had things to sign but only his left hand to do it with. Another weary sigh worked its way through him as he thought of all the fun that would be to handle. Reaching out with his actual hand this time, Aiden picked up the nearest paper(a form discussing the arrangement with the town of White Harbor for hosting the fledgling guild) and gave it a quick read through before placing it flat on the desk and reaching for a quill.
"Going to think I'm a fuckin moron when they see this scrawl." He muttered as he began to carefully write his signature, face contorting to a growling scowl as he considered how humiliating it felt to not be able to properly pen his own damn name. needless to say, despite his best efforts, his signature was a jagged mess that barely counted as language. With a groan, he put it onto a small pile set aside from the rest of the mess for what he'd actually managed to get done. The next paper he picked up, however, gave him some pause.
This document, in particular, was the Mage's Guild Official Registration form. All the boxes had already been filled in with the needed information in a much neater hand(Serana's work, he was sure) but the thing that caught him was the listing near the very top of the form, where the name of the Guild was to be officiated.
"Winter's Blade. . . " Aiden's tone was sullen as he stared at the words, a mixture of bittersweet joy and grim acceptance though it was soon followed by a small chuckle. "You always did complain about how you despised that title. . . I'm sorry your pupil lacked for creativity, Master."
Closing his eyes to take a moment of silence, Aiden carefully signed the paper with as much control as he could muster. The result was . . . better, if still grimace-inducing and he was certain his Master would be rolling in laughter if he could see his current predicament. Another sigh, another paper placed on the finished pile.
"That's. . . 10 signatures down and. . ." Looking over at the veritable mountain range of papers that littered his desk and even the area around it, the guild master pinched the bridge of his nose. "Gods above know how many more to go."
With a breath and a straightening of his posture, he quickly got back to work, muttering about a founding ceremony and new recruits as he worked.
The Premise
Hello, and Welcome to Winter's Blade, a casual-ish rp based in the Fairy Tail universe, albeit with some slight tweaks to the formula. The plan at present is to form a small to medium-size group of people(somewhere between 5 and 10-ish, a bit flexible on the upper end) and run this as a semi-open sandbox type rp. There is a bit of a plot in mind, but it still needs formulating so the first 'arc' or two of the rp would be rather separate from that(albeit with few hints for future events), but they'll mainly serve to help everyone's characters get comfortable with each other.
Now, as for the ways in which I want to set this RP a bit apart from the herd:
Rulings and Changes
Canon Characters don't exist, and canon guilds will likely be similarly absent, though that'll be done on a case-by-case basis and depend on how much I commit to the idea of creating new guilds to fill a certain niche.
Guilds will be run a bit closer to an actual institution, rather than just a place that acts as an excuse to get a lot of WMD-level mages hangout and occasionally find work. While that doesn't mean terribly much to the grand scheme of the RP, it does mean that there will be consequences for misbehavior if you get caught. But it also means that your character will get some sweet benefits, like free room and board, access to certain materials and books, etc, that doesn't really get elaborated on in the show. Won't be terribly much due to the next point, but it'll be something.
As you might've guessed from the above story blurb, this is a guild that's just getting started, i.e. formed within the last 6-8 months by the time of IC start. The guild does have a bit of a name to it at the moment due to the Guild master accomplishing something pretty noteworthy(which is how he got permission to start the guild by the Mage Council), but we're definitely the new kid on the block with all that implies. Such as. . .
No S ranks. No one in the guild will be any higher than an A rank in terms of power, and this includes the Guild Master. reasons for this are that A)S ranks kinda make the plot escalate to catch up with their perceived power and B)they don't serve much RP narrative purpose in my opinion. ICly, no S ranks worth their salt would really join up with a newbie guild. And even A ranks will be rather limited. I won't put an arbitrary cap because it really depends on the sheets I see but know that I will be judging A ranks pretty closely.
Speaking of arbitrary caps, I won't be doing that with Slayer magic either. Let's be honest, if the show doesn't care overly much about their supposed rarity, then neither am I. I will, however, be judging slayers a bit more harshly still. If I get an rp of only slayers, that'd suck but oh well, if the sheets were good enough to pass muster than so be it. That being said, Demonslayers are something I'm not terribly keen on since people are quick to make them stupid strong, so consider that your warning/challenge
Speaking of Slayers, note that Dragons in this RP aren't completely absent like in the Anime nor are they infinitely powerful beasts. Non-slayers can beat them, but their long lives and innate abilities make them a tough battle even for them. Dragons are, however, exceedingly rare to find, generally isolated from each other and society, and view humans on a scale from Insects at worse and a particularly amusing pet or animal at best. there are exceptions, of course, but that's just the general rule.
Annnd that's all that I can think of for differences at the moment, might come up with more if this picks up interest(perhaps you guys can even give me a hand with making them), so the only thing I can think of now is introducing a few NPCs. Hopefully, they inspire or at the very least interest you a bit.
Important NPCs
Aiden is a somewhat well-known mage among those in Fiore, not only for being one of the rare Dragon Slayer Mages but also having taken down the notorious Dark Guild, Demon's Maw, who was responsible for quite a good deal of suffering throughout the Nation. While the motivation to take down this organization was mostly a personal one to achieve vengeance for his Master, the act still granted him sizeable fame and no small amount of favor with the Mage's Council. With this in mind, he set about making good on a promise he had made on his Master's deathbed, announcing the formation of a new guild even as he recovered from his injuries.
While down one arm since his battle with the leader of Demon's Maw, one would be remiss to think him frail or truly crippled in any way. Skilled in the use of Both Ice-make and Ice Dragon Slayer Magic, he has shown a remarkable precision in his application of both disciplines. While most Slayers known are want to just lash out at their foes with overwhelming force and power, Aiden fights with a controlled ferocity that focuses all of his power in quick and simple strikes. Preferring to fight with a blade, as his master before him did, one will find the older man to be just as capable a combatant as he ever was. . . perhaps even more so as talks are that his encounter with the Leader of the Dark Guild has left him with a few new tricks at his disposal.
A Local White harbor mage and the official secretary and manager of Winter's Blade, she's the one who assists Aiden in keeping all the finances, book-keeping, and other background functions of the guild, well, functioning. If not for her help, Aiden likely would be drowning in all of the administrative work of running a guild, and she often reminds him of that fact whenever she can.
Skilled in the use of Archive Magic, as well as a specialized form of Runic Magic that her clan has had for generations, she is a Solid B-rank mage that should not be looked down on just because she takes a more supportive role in guild functions. Act up in the hall, and you'll likely find yourself on your ass before you can even blink.
Plot Hooks
Rumors have been spreading recently of a strange mage of unknown origin wandering the lands of Fiore. No one knows their dace, but it is said that where ever they walk, disaster soon follows in the form of a Six-eyed beast of titanic proportions, appearing out of thin air and vanishing just as fast once the devastation has been wrought. The mage's council has been looking into this matter, but have found no clues as to what could possibly be the cause.
Due to the nature of the threat, it has been made every guild's #1 concern, and while not every guild has the members to actively contribute to the investigation, any and all clues to either the location of this being or how to fight it are to be sent directly to the Mage's Council. Guilds that provide verifiable info are also likely to be well compensated for their contributions.
A mystery to Modern mages, this strange and monstrous corpse has stood in the northern reaches of Fiore since Ancient times, and stands as the beginning of a section of the land known as the 'Valley of Ancients'. Seeped in magical energy and home to no shortage of beings both fantastical and monstrous, it has often been considered a place one goes to test their might.
Locations
The City of White Harbor is an industrious Port that engages daily in the routine dangers of fishing, crabbing, whaling, and other such trades related to producing all kinds of quality goods for the rest of the Region. Being so close to the Valley of Ancients, it is not uncommon for the work to take a turn for the deadly as massive monsters attack hunting parties and fishing boats for daring to intrude upon their territory.
However, the people of White harbor are tough, stubborn, and practically born with an ax already in their hands. Magic runs deep in the veins of those who live here and is often needed to survive the harsh winters and harsher attacks by the fore mentioned monsters. Many don't really like the idea of opening up a mage's Guild within their walls, but given that the Guild's foundation led to the local tavern hall being renovated and adding another watering hole to the town, most will keep their complaints to themselves. Still, if a mage comes to the town expecting warm welcomes and smiling citizens, they're in for a rather rude awakening.

Standing at around 5'10, most would say that Juuko is the kind of guy that honestly doesn't stand out too much in a crowd. His features are distinctive, all hard angles around a somewhat feral looking half-grin with playful golden eyes, but he still manages to fade into the background in any bar or seedy den of ill respute. he dresses informally, in whatever he can grab, and does very little to care for his appearance aside from the bare minimum, often sporting a five o'clock shadow due to eithe r forgetting or not bothering to consistently shave it down.
Physically, however, he is surprisingly fit for someone as seemingly ill-kept with a body made of lean muscle that had been toned by decades of exercise, training, and fieldwork. His dark black hair suits him well, drawing little attention in any place he goes, and despite his somewhat intimidating bearing at times, it's easy for most to gain, if not comfort in his presence, at least toleration. He blends in easily to any environment he finds himself in, sitting near the back with a drink in one hand and a smile on the other as if welcoming an old friend.
Personality & Prestige
Many would say that Juuko is sociopathic, bereft of any idea of right or wrong and willing to do whatever is asked of him without question so long as he gets to kill something. Those people would be wrong, but he can't blame them for seeing him in that light. Long ago, when the Civil War began, Juuko realized that the veneer of glory and patriotism that people described the life of a shinobi was made with pure, unadulterated bullshit. And rather than try to clean to a fake ideal, Juuko decided that the only proper way to get by in life was to simply accept the hand he had been dealt and do his best to enjoy life as he did so. When he's not working, Juuko likes to party, to drink, to drown himself in just about any vice he can find. Any attempts to shame him fall on deaf ears and he often ridicules those in his profession that like to profess and shield themselves in such values.
When it comes to work, however, Juuko turns into another man entirely, so much so that most who see both sides of him find themselves suffering from an intense sense of whiplash. On the job, Juuko is an efficient machine, a silent hunter that plans for every eventuality watches his prey for 50 days so that he can capitalize on the one day they make a mistake, a man that does anything and everything to ensure his mission succeeds. Casualties do not matter unless his job is to avoid them, and in many cases, no tactic is considered off the table unless explicitly told as such. But despite the rumors that say he revels in his work, despite the way that he even talks about some brutal jobs after the fact, he never seems to enjoy what he does in the moment. In fact, every moment on the job seems to bring him little more than a pained expression.

Characterization
Physical Description
Ena is a young man, around 5'1 in terms of height and possessing an athletic build due to his intense focus on the perfection of his craft as a swordsman. He can usually be found wearing fine clothes such suits, vests, slacks, loafers, and so on when not engaged with his active shinobi duties, as it is to be expected for an Uzumaki to always look his best. His hair is always immaculately brushed, his teeth are as clean and white as can be, and every part of him speaks to a highly tailored image of perfection. . . all except his eyes. When you look into his gilded eyes, one can tell that not all is right with the young Uzumaki. No smile ever reaches them, and it is only when he grows angered by an insult to his skills or his clan that anything besides a cold hollowness occupies them. It is a well-maintained and well-practiced mask that Ena wears and rare is the person who he willing drops it for.
Personality & Prestige
Ena is a boy who's been giving everything he's ever wanted. A child who has been put on a pedestal his whole life, that has been expected to be one of the very best that the Uzumaki has to offer, a child that has had his every flaw and discrepancy ruthlessly picked over and critiqued. Despite the privilege and pampering that one would expect of one in his position as a scion of one of the more powerful(if not the most powerful, as they like to claim) clans within the elemental nations, to say the Ena's life was an easy one would be a grave mistake.
Due to this upbringing, the boy has a very high opinion of himself and his hard-earned skills, but this pride easily and harshly crumples into frustration and anger upon meeting even the smallest complication. This shows especially when he comes across people who don't respect his skills or the perceived prestige of his clan. While he is too well-trained to let these emotions fully surface, oftentimes those who draw his ire can find themselves the target of strange misfortunes in the form of a number debatably cruel pranks plaguing their day-to-day life for sometime after the slight was given. As such, even if he is all smiles and polite words, most that meet Ena come to see him as an untrustworthy, vindictive and arrogant brat that refuses to be humbled.
However, there are times when the softer sides of Ena's personality comes through, few and far between as they tend to be. While his arrogance does, in fact, know no bounds, when push comes to shove, he can be persuaded(as he puts it) to accept an alternate point of view. Slowly, his time in Konoha has helped him. . . ease up. He'd be lying if he said he didn't feel much less pressure in his current environment than back in his home. That being the case, he still struggles to truly connect with anyone as the barriers he's put up all his life still hold strong, even if he does wish it could often be otherwise. Alas, his caretaker is often times the small reminder he needs to remember his place in the world, what he means to his clan, and most of all, his duties to them. To ask for any other kind of life is a childish notion, and to foster it for even a second is a poison to the mind.
Origin
Ena was not allowed a childhood. Since the moment he was born, he was considered not as a person, but as a symbol. Of National Pride, of Purity, of the prestige and power of the clan. He was not raised by his parents and would not be able to tell someone who they even were if pressed. For as long as he lived, he had been passed by a number of impartial, cold mentors whose job was not to raise him but to teach him to be the very best he could be. From one day to the next, it was just a non-stop deluge of lessons from harsh, strict adults who never had the patience for his childish needs.
You may not cry, you may not complain, you may not yell, you may not scream, all these rules and more were heaped upon him as a way to help him learn the control to handle the curse of his bloodline. They were tried and true methods to shut down and control the bestial nature that every Uzumaki struggled with. . . or so was the explanation that Ena was given whenever he questioned his treatment. And so it was that Ena grew up practically alone, the first time he ever truly interacted with someone in a way that wasn't strictly someone trying to teach him was when he first met his instructor in the Whirling Blades Style. While an Uzumaki in name, the man had been born outside of the compound, had lived outside of the interlaced matrices of Fuinjutsu that kept them separated from the outside world for hundreds of years. To this day, Ena does not know how the man was ever allowed inside the village, but it was with this man that the boy found the closest thing he could call a father figure. He was truthful and direct when so may others only spoke in distant half-tones, he was empathetic while others were cold, and while he couldn't show it as often as Ena would've liked due to the constant supervision they were under at nearly all times. . . he cared for Ena. Genuinely cared for him, for who Ena was and not just for what Ena represented as a pureblood Uzumaki.
Character Development & Conceptualization
For Ena, I'm imagining a boy whose struggling to find himself in life, trapped between two sides of himself. On one hand, he wants to prove his Clan proud and has a deep respect for the traditions of Uzushio. But on the other hand, he can't help but feel those same traditions have become stifling for him, and despite the best intentions of his elders, he can't help but feel anything but anxiety and stress whenever he thinks about his position in the world, of the immense responsibility he has to his Clan, and to the way his entire future seems to already have been set of him. It pushes him to rebel against these conventions, but whether or not that's what he needs or what will bring him happiness is something that will have to be seen as the RP goes forward.
It certainly doesn't help that his bloodline proves to make holding his temper even harder than is normal for a boy his age, and every time he denies himself the chance to really let loose and lash out, he can't help but ask: Why not? Why shouldn't he just wreck everything if it gives at least some release to the immense pressure he feels building inside of him every day.
Attributes
Talents & Abilities
Uzumaki Fuinjutsu Practioner: As an Uzumaki, it is only natural that Ena is well-versed in the complexities of the art of fuinjutsu. While his time away from his former mentors have left him wanting somewhat in terms of learning more of the Uzumaki specific applications, his time in Konoha has not been entirely fruitless as the vast libraries present in the village have allowed him to keep up his own self-study at an appreciable pace in other areas of his fuinjutsu skill. Applications of his fuinjutsu mastery include the ability to form nearly any basic sealing tags, as well as the formation of rather powerful explosive tags.
Aside from combat applications, Ena is more than capable of devising sealing formulas to assist in a number of unforeseen ways if given time to study the issue, including but not limited seals that can help to assist in the regulation of chakra circulation, seals to drive away fatigue, and even a seal that can serve to bind a weakened target by assaulting their very nervous system, though the time and preparation needed to perform it makes it impossible to use in a combat scenario.
Skilled Kenjutsu Practioner: An oddity amongst the Uzumaki, Ena has chosen to become a swordsman, rather than taking to the more accepted Kusarigama that the Uzumaki is often none to employ in tandem with their seals to confound and disable their foes. Instead, Ena assaults his foe with acrobatic and flashy forms, relying on the natural gifts and aggression granted by his Uzumaki blood to let him overwhelm his opponent and ultimately control the direction of the fight. On top of this skillful use of blades, he is able to decently hold his own win hand to hand combat using similar principles, but certainly not to the same extent as he is with them.
An archaic and, truthfully, near-dead style of swordplay developed as a collaboration between Konoha and Uzushio in the years before the 2nd Shinobi War. It is a style the focuses on the use of both speed and power to batter an opponent and direct them across a battlefield as if they're being pulled this way and that by a violent whirlpool. While usually performed with the use of two blades to accent the aggressive slant of this style, it can also be used with just a single blade with little adjustments needing to be made.
A very crucial part of this style is the use of constant movement to keep the opponent off-balance and unable to gain a proper bearing. To assist in this, a whirling blades stylist often makes use of sealing tags that can be littered across the battlefield before and during the battle that they can direct their foe towards and thus allow them to capitalize on their opponent's lack of focus. For most people, the intense acrobatics the style calls for to be effective would make it only effective in short bursts, if at all, as it can be extremely draining on both one's chakra reserves and stamina to keep up such an assault. However for the Uzumaki, who naturally possess immense stores of both chakra and stamina, find themselves able to keep up with the demands with great ease.
Despite Ena's pride in his skill in this style, it is a bit of a sticking point in terms of his standing with his clan. For many Uzumaki, use of the Whirling Blades style is described as unrefined at best and absolutely primitive at worst, as it's hyper-aggression often leads to its practitioners giving in to the blood rages of the Uzumaki much easier than the majority finds acceptable. While Ena continues to show an acceptable amount of restraint in managing his rages, it can be seen that it's often only just and in the heat of battle, the signs of him nearly losing his grip on his emotions is often clearly seen to those who no what to look for.
Pure blooded Uzumaki: A product of very careful breeding and intermixing of the Uzumaki bloodline, Ena is considered an Uzumaki of truly pureblood, an honor that comes with drastic benefits and downsides. While gifted with the expected Uzumaki traits of large reserves of chakra and stamina, powerful life energy, and a talent for fuinjutsu, as well as the likelihood of eventually being able to manifest the vaunted Enishi-no-Kusari, the chain that is able to bind spirits and beings of chakra with great ease that make these Uzumaki a force to be feared. But along with this, these Uzumaki are subjected to much stronger instincts from the curse of their bloodlines.
Their rages are fiercer, their tempers like that of a wild animal that seeks to tear everything before it to shreds. As such, Ena had been placed under strict supervision and discipline since both to ensure that he's able to main control of his blood and not the other way around. Despite this, however, Ena often finds himself struggling daily to contain his outbursts and emotions, both to appease his fellow clan members and to keep the darker side of himself at bay. But it often irritates him to no end that he must even keep up the facade. Often times, he finds himself wondering what it would be like to simply. . . let go of his grip and truly let the built-up aggression and savagery out upon the world at large.
Calculated Awareness: Due to his preferred method of combat, Ena has developed his senses and perceptive capabilities to keep him attune to his environments in full, giving him an excellent sense of spatial awareness and allowing him to quickly memorize the layouts of any place he's been to and create a mental map that is hardly ever inaccurate. even in maze-like environments, he proves able to easily backtrack his steps without any hesitation.
Planning: More than anything else, Ena is a planner and he likes to account for as many variables as he can when orchestrating a plan of attack or defense. If given enough time, Ena is able to come up with rather devilish schemes that are befitting his Uzumaki heritage, making use of fuinjutsu, environment, and even his own allies to tray and lure his foes into springing his deviously laid traps.

Whirling Blades Form: Riptide
C Rank: Whirling Blades Form: Flowing Whirlpool Body
A form of chakra enhancement that makes up the basis of the Whirling Blades Style. By manipulating the flow of chakra through his body, Ena is able to enhance his strength, speed, and agility by a noticeable degree, enabling him to perform the Whirling Blades style at the intensity necessary to make full effect of it's calculated aggression. While under the effect of this ability, chakra flows around his body like a spiral of light blue mist.
This a set of sealing matrices developed by Ena as a way to try and get past Nozomi's stealth-based jutsu. While this seal is incapable of achieving that function at present, a fact that infuriates Ena to no end, it has proven to be an effective technique in other matters.
In essence, the technique functions by turning a normal sealing tag into a sort of chakra emitter, sending out brief pulses of chakra into the environment around it. The chakra pulses are invisible to the naked eye but upon interacting with the chakra of others, it creates a sort of energy sonar imaging that can be perceived by anyone who currently has a matching Reciever seal with stuck to their bodies or engraved into an article of clothing they have for a more permanent application. For those wearing a receiver, the information of the pulses appears in their vision as a red outline of the target and can even show the shapes of Ninjutsu and certain forms of genjutsu as well.
The weakness of this technique is that the chakra pulses prove unreliable in the tracking of hidden or suppressed sources of chakra, providing either a barely visible smudge of an outline or none whatsoever. Not only that, but if someone catches on to the trick it is quite possible for it to be turned against the user by someone who knows how to manipulate their chakra in certain ways, as it can't tell the difference between clones, nor is it able to register any object that is devoid of chakra entirely. As such, it's best used in conjunction with other tactics to assist the user and their allies in planning stealthy attacks under intense cover than as a way of finding enemies skilled at hiding their presence.
A basic technique among the Uzumaki clan, it allows Ena to manifest the divine chains that bind the cursed blood of the Kitsune goddess that flows through his veins. Crimson like blood in appearance, the chains have little offensive capability in this state, though despite their near-weightless nature they prove to be rather resilient to most forms of normal forms of attack, allowing for limited use in defending against attack. Chakra enhanced strikes or strong ninjutsu can do the trick in breaking them rather easily. They can also be disrupted by any technique that can drain or suppress chakra directly.
In this state, while Ena is unable to use these chains effectively as an offensive measure, he tends to use these chains to help increase his mobility on the battlefield. By launching the chains out to a wall, a piece of ground, or ceiling, or even an object currently flying through the air, he can quickly pull himself to that position by briefly binding the target to him and reeling himself towards it. This can also be done to living targets, but this isn't suggested due to the fact that one can break this chain by simple pulsing their chakra through it similar to a genjutsu kai technique. The maximum range in which he can currently reach with these chains is around 5 meters.
Custom Tools:
A pair of custom-made and high-quality leather bracers emblazoned with the Uzumaki Clan's mon, as well as a rather intricate looking array of sealing matrices. It covers the whole of his forearms and the back of his hands, plates of reinforced steal placed along the top length of it to enable better protection while still allowing a measure of flexibility.
The seals laid upon the bracers are, in truth, mostly simple, with the intricacy coming from the vast number of redundancies worked into the creation as a whole to ensure proper functionality should the main formula become damaged. The seal in question is a modified summoning seal, tied to a set of 4 specialized storage seals that Ena keeps on his person at all times. With this seal, Ena can summon not only his blades to his hands with no more than a flick of his wrist and a pulse of chakra, but he can also call forth an item placed into the other seals as well to his hand, usually some form of seal that he has decided to use for that day. He only has two free slots however, as his blades each need a separate storage seal for this to work properly. The seal is also capable of reverse summoning the items if Ena has them in hand, allowing for easy storage if need be, as well as some trickier and riskier bits of swordplay that he is still working on perfecting.
As an added bit of ingenuity on Ena's part, the seals have the unforeseen benefit of creating a large poof of white smoke if Ena overcharges the summoning seal when using it, allowing him to surprise his opponent and obscure what kind of object he's brought forth. . . though this also has the side-effect of leaving him unable to see his foe at the same time, usually at fairly close proximity.
Concussive Seals: A form of explosive seal that forgoes a good deal of damaging power to increase the disorienting effects that explosives can have. Mainly used for training with others, these seals do bear some practical use in real combat as well, due to their lessened lethality and destructive force. perfect for weakening targets that can't just be killed.
Adhesive: As the name suggests, this explosive seal has been modified to explode into a gout of quick hardening goo, with the main objective being to hold the afflicted target in place, even if only briefly. Ena is always tinkering with the formula of the matrices that transform the water chakra used in this seal into the goo, with his current batch proving. . . . more of a distraction against any shinobi with proper strength, and can be easily chipped off with a kunai. Still, it can prove the deciding factor in a battle, and with enough seals in place, one can easily subdue a mob of lesser skilled foes without resorting to violence.
Siren: One of Ena's more painful alterations, this seal doesn't explode when triggered. Instead, it lets out a tone that, depending on the sealing matrix used, can provide a variety of different tones and pitches. He can do anything from a high pitch squeal that can possibly even cause permanent damage if one is subjected to it long enough to a low tone that causes intense if brief bouts of nausea and dizziness in those affected. In order to minimize the chance of friendly fire, these tags often are tuned so that their worse effects don't spread much further than 5 feet from the tag's position and they can be disabled rather simply by even the smallest bit of damage to the seal matrix on the paper.
Smoke: All smoke, no blast force. Good for making a quick escape or hindering an opponent's sense of the battlefield for a surprise attack. The smoke can also be laced with poisons if need be, though Ena has no knowledge in this field himself and would need assistance if he were to ever put it into practice. Needless to say, a strong enough gust of wind, either natural or formed by wind or strong fire type jutsu, is more than enough to disperse the thick smoke created from the tag.
String Light: One of his trickier seals, it allows Ena to activate his String Light Formation from a distance of up to 8 meters, and even on multiple targets if he can catch them. If the target is within a meter of such a tag, all it takes is him performing the needed hand seals to capture the target. The catch, however, is that this form of Stringlight only heavily restricts movement instead of complete paralysis. The user will feel as if they're traveling through water, but they'll still be able to move. This makes it simple for any target to simply move away from the seal, or even destroy the seal if they catch onto it. Still, it proves very good as a set up for Ena's allies, slowing the target down just enough to land the final blow.
