Current No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.

Arguing over petty details at times of dimensional emergency was a familiar wizardly trait.

A wizard never had friends, at least not friends who were wizards. It needed a different word. Ah yes, that was it. Enemies. But a very different class of enemies. Gentlemen.

From the Ashes shall be Woken
Welcome! In this game, we take on the roles of a group of people turned slaves in the eastern province of Morrowind, where our characters will become involved in events of such magnitude that they might change the fate of Tamriel forever.
Story
In the year of 225 of the 4th Era, following the defeat of the Stormcloak rebellion, ideas of independence has spread like wildfire across the continent. The Imperial army, decimated by the war in Skyrim and stretched to the point of breaking, is having a hard time repressing insurgents in the many provinces. The Great House Telvanni of Morrowind has seized the opportunity to openly but informally secede from Imperial rule, sparking further conflict. And all the while an old enemy is waking beneath the ashen surface of the land of the Dunmer, unseen in the shadow of Imperial invasion.
Rules
The rules are simple. Don’t sabotage the game for others, heed my advice, don’t break the rules. Offenders will be warned. Repeat offenders will be banned.
Characters
Your character is a slave. You might not have been born as such, but you have been one for some time now. Life has taken you by carriage and boat, through rain and shine to the northeastern tip of the continent, the Telvanni Isles. Life here is strange, and the people stranger still. Whatever you had heard about the Argonian invasion of Morrowind, you realize it must never have made it here. The people on the isles live as though they were unaware of the world outside them. That or they just don’t care. Either way, you’re here now and your chances of freedom have never looked bleaker. The guideline for creating a character in this game is growth. Don’t submit a finished piece of perfection. Plant a seed and see what happens. Let the events and circumstances shape your character into the hero s/he’s eventually going to become. Please post your finished CS in the Character tab.
Rumors
Below are some rumors and topics of conversation sometimes heard in taverns and cornerclubs throughout the land. Your character may know of some or all of these things already, or could find out in the game, at your discretion.
  • Since the death of the Emperor, the political climate in Cyrodiil has reached a boiling point. People are speaking of civil war, and many Imperial Legates are said to be withdrawing from their provinces to steal the throne for themselves.
  • The Aldmeri Dominion is having a hard time. Elsweyr and Valenwood is in open rebellion against their Thalmor oppressors, leaving the Dominions forces too preoccupied with internal affairs to take advantage of the growing crisis in Cyrodiil.
  • The Cult of Talos, a sect within the Imperial faith, has grown strong and is surfacing all across Tamriel. Members of the Cult are described as aggressive and have been reported terrorizing villages and towns into submission under strict religious rule under the god of men.
  • Some say that the Redguards of Hammerfell are building a large fleet to attempt the impossible: invading the Dominion. Most wave these news of as lies but emissaries from Hammerfell are suspiciously silent on the matter.
  • It’s been a long time since any news came out of Argonia, which is unsettling in itself. Trade has diminished drastically and no one seems to know what is going on.
I will correct my post. I hadn't read the updated OP (with locations) and just realized my mistake. Disregard my post in the IC, I'll change it soon. EDIT Post has been updated.
Rexicorg was something else. Yem had never before been there, had never witnessed its myriad of arches and walkways, and yet he felt he understood the place. It was like the forest; seemingly random but not random at all. There was a pattern to it, a structure. It was a maze to those who didn’t know it, like the deep woods after dark, but as open as a meadow in midday to its inhabitants. Yem could find his way through any forest. It was in his nature. But he could not yet find his way through here. Some considered him a master, but here he was but a novice. The place was beautiful; the bittersweet balance of old magnificence and pride tempered with new decay and forgetfulness. There were great ruins here, shells of past glorious palaces, but who knew their history now? Who cared? Whatever it had been, it had shattered with the rest of the world and lay now unmourned and unburied. It had once been the home of civilized people, cultured people, giants walking the earth. Now only shadows remained, and those who dwelt within them. I shall have to dream of you more, old soul, Yem thought to himself. He was standing at the top of a great mound, his back resting against the thick twisted trunk of an olive tree. He was in the outskirts of the ancient city, the vast and strange landscape painted burning red before him in the light of the setting sun. He would eat now, and drink, and make camp for the night. Then, in the morning, he would greet Rexicorg properly and brave its bowels in search for his prize: the long lost relic of old, and the promise of power.
Cool to see so much interest! I'll get the OOC started today!
Cool! When will we begin?

Yem in his transformed shape
Name: Yem Age 205 Appearance: Tall, wiry, a beautiful but serious face. Height: 196cm Weight: 80kg Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Green History (Optional): Yem is said to hail from one of the western provinces of the Imperium. Not much is known about his young history, but he says he was born to a pair of farmers in a small village in the middle of nowhere. He spent much of his time in the nearby forest in his youth, playing with the spirits there. He and one of the spirits eventually fell in love and became a couple. As time passed, however, it became apparent that while the spirit the spirit would live forever, Yem would die of old age. The spirit lamented this and gave her soul to him, prolonging his life indefinitely and granting him the gifts of the forest. He has been travelling the world ever since, marveling at its mysteries. According to him, at least. Personality: Yem is pleasant, thoughtful and secretive. He likes to be around people and has no problem with making friends of strangers. He is the planning kind and likes to take a moment to think before acting. He also likes to keep secrets; Yem never lies but doesn’t always say what he knows. He is very fond of artistry in every kind, especially poetry. Weapons: A spear made from copperwood, and a curved iron dagger. Abilities (Magic): Yem has been given the soul of a forest spirit, granting him many of its gifts:
  • Longevity – Yem is eternally young and will never die of old age.
  • Friend of the Forest – Yem is allied with the forest and can move through it without threat. He can survive on grass and leaves as animals do, and predators won’t attack him unless provoked.
  • Totem – Yem can transform into his spirit shape. While transformed his physical prowess is significantly empowered, as well as his senses. It is very taxing for him, however, quickly exhausting him, as his body wasn’t made to use it.
So @Pathfinder, @Draconilian, @Ozymandias... You still in?
Okay, I have a very particular ES character I'm in love with, but it would be very, peculiar if he got sold into slavery somehow.
Then, barring that you'd consider dreaming up a scenario when he did end up as a slave, I'd humbly suggest that you altered said character or created a new one.
Sounds interesting :o
Great!
I imagine people are busy creating! I know I am :)
