Connor arched his brow at the idea that the professor would have had an issue with his interest in Pokemon Contests as if the thought was never even a twinkle in his eye. He just looked at Jason with a puzzled look as he questioned how one of his rivals jumped to such a conclusion because sure, the professor wasn't exactly the nicest kind of person alive, but he never showed any disdain towards Contests though it would be fair to imagine that they were not his scene. Besides, the professor was not the one who recruited Connor anyway; it was Adriane.

The very cleaned up cowboy said, "Kapoc? No, I don't think he'd particularly care to be honest. I mean, I still want to take the gym challenge, so it's not like I'd be troubling Kapoc or the League..."

Connor exhaled and ran his fingers back through his hair. He was just standing around with a bit of a slouch not looking Jason in the eye. It was a bit strange to look at compared to the bright, confident young man that he had just met the other day. He looked more like a demure dog that had been just caught lifting its leg up and pissing all over the rug that tied the room together.

"Look, when you grow up around people that tell you how a man should act and the expectations that are crushingly placed upon your shoulders, you don't really shake that off in a couple weeks. By their definition, Pokemon Contests are not something that 'men' take part in. Really, most of what I want to do would be considered that." said Connor with a chuckle albeit forced as if to make light of what was mentioned.

@Sanguine Rose

Moments later, they are now walking through a field with the Eevee taking lead. It was really easy to actually follow Tristan's scent, which was mainly just expensive fruity smelling lotions, moisturizers, and expensive shoe polish. It would be concerning if Sage would not have been able to smell such strong scents, but the little genetically unstable cat-dog thing was able to find it. The more they walked, the more the sun began to set below the hills and fields.

From above, Tilia definitely saw something of interest; far off there seemed to be a ditch of some sort where she could see a magenta-colored bird, actually, two magenta-colored birds fighting each other along with some blue bipedal dog. This would help spur them to move quickly seeing as there seemed to be a confrontation out in the distance.

@samreaper

The panic on his face said everything. He was not a trainer; he was not someone who can bear to watch his Pokemon get hurt. The man did not have the stomach for battling like someone even like Tristan had, so when he was about to watch his Ditto to become the past tense, he yelled out, "Stop!"

The farmhand's posture slumped, and his head hung low in defeat.

"Enough, you win."

King is now level 8!
Princess is now Level 7!
Tristan earned 1250P!

Robbie returned his Ditto into its Pokeball and sighed, shaking his head just at the mess he was in. He lifted his head up and looked at Tristan again and said, "For the record. I didn't even want to battle you. I was hoping that you'd be scared off, but you actually fought me. Who would've thought that the rich kid actually had balls?"

While he was still somewhat demeaning, at least he was not trying to put up any resistance. Instead, he was giving Tristan this serious look as his eyes were now focused on the folder that the fledgling trainer was holding.

"Before you bring me back, I need to tell you this for your sake; that folder you're holding is going to cause you a whole lot of trouble if you keep it. If you give it to the police, the family will more than likely leave you alone. They don't really go after kids; they'd just chalk it up to you playing hero and just be annoyed by a minor inconvenience but giving it to the police means that the Lunds will find a way to make sure that the contents in that folder never see the light of day." Explained the very soon be to ex-farm hand.

"Still, if for some god forsaken reason you want to see this through to the end, you need to head to Frostford. I have a friend named Edward Hanes, a programmer, who will be able to help you with the contents in the folder, but I warn you, once the Lund's figure out that you have that folder, all hell is gonna break loose. They will do anything, and I mean anything to get that folder back. I can't tell you what's in it though; you need whatever plausible deniability you can get if you get caught with the folder until you get to Frostford. Again, this is all a very big if, if you decide to go through with it."

@Sanguine Rose

The two of them would soon hear the footsteps of someone approaching until, much to Tristan's dismay, it was one of the trainer's he met at Kapoc's lab in the morning and the same person who took a very incriminating image of the rich boy being dragged out by the scientist's murder dragon.

Robbie chuckled at the amount of overkill it was to have now two trainers on his back. "Seems like you got some backup. Too bad they wasted their time. It has been resolved already."

What do they do now?
@samreaper

Yeah, that vitriol was exactly what he was expecting. Well, as he said earlier, it would only be easier if Tristan hated him.

"I am merely asking you a question. What does it make you when the ivory tower that you've lived in was built on the back of broken lives and dreams your family smashed? Or do you think you're above it?", said Robbie. This man was not denying that he had made a terrible mistake that he could not come back from again. He was bitter, yes, but even as he insulted Tristan's own family, Robbie did not hold any anger towards the boy himself. If anything, there was pity in his tone.

Back to the fight, with great speed and timing Princess grabbed King out of the way of the projectile feathers that just stuck in the ground. Ironically enough, Princess was doing a princess carry for the magenta crow. As the fake Murkrow followed the Riolu to use Peck on the bipedal blue Pokemon only to receive a barrage of feathers that stuck to it, even on its beak that would act as a cushion for all attacks unless they were somehow removed.

"Come on Ditto, you gotta move!" Robbie implored, but the Ditto was completely taken aback from being tarred and feathered sans tar and was now pincered between King and Princess, proceeding to get its shit kicked in from both sides as they both somehow got critical hits. The impact from both of their attacks at the same time dealt a great amount of damage, causing the mimic Pokemon to stumble from the impact though because of its level advantage, it still was able to just hold on and looked like it could still take more hits. However, both critical impacts collided against its head from both sides, discombobulating to the point that both of Tristan's Pokemon could get a free attack off.

What are Tristan's orders?

@Joshua Tamashii

To her pleasant surprise, the Goletts felt pleasantly smooth not like stone, but like freshly glazed clay pottery. The spectral nature of them compared to her Phantump or Mimikyu or the wild Yamasks had to be different given that they were manmade rather than naturally occurring. It was a mystery as to why Golett had the properties of a ghost-type and Amelia probably did not have much of a clue either besides the idea because they were Pokemon that existed since ancient times though that would create a few implications of their nature if that was the case.

It's not like it particularly mattered now. What was more important was making friends with the local ghosts! Well, it would've been like that except they were not exactly sure how to react. They were not used to people being around them, let alone being nice so they were just looking at each other wondering what they were supposed to do. The one that she touched didn't really object to being touched either though it poked back at her stomach not too hard. It was more out of a childlike curiosity than anything though once it felt its finger poke against the malleable softness of her belly, it just kept repeatedly poking her. Somehow it was fun?

The Yamask that she was interacting with earlier puffed its cheeks up and smacked the Golett's hand away and began to tell it off. However, it was pretty obvious that it was acting like this because it did not like having Amelia's attention pulled away from it. Looked like that this one Yamask was a bit of an attention hog and perhaps a bit of a diva. Other Yamask and Golett were rolling their eyes at the sight as if this was a common occurrence between those two specific Pokemon.

While they were bickering, she would sense that the ruins seemed to emit a ghostly aura. Originally, one would assume that it's because of the ghost-types though the longer she remained around them, the more she would realize that the ruins themselves were emitting this.

What does Amelia do?

@Zarkun

Jason would see Connor jolt up and his muscles stiffen into a board. He turned around and his movements were so stiff as well that one would have thought they heard the sound of rusted metal creaking and moaning to see the full glory of this young man dressed to the nines. Now before, Connor did have this rugged, yet almost Hollywood Wild West handsomeness when dressed in his rancher's attire, but now he just looked like he belonged on the red carpet for some award show or a premiere for a movie that would be nominated for those award shows. His typical Stetson hat was nowhere to be seen and it revealed this neatly combed back brown, chestnut hair that was probably being held together by gel. The suit that he wore was a dark charcoal gray teetering into black with a matching vest, shoes, tie, and even elegant leather gloves that was all tied together by a white collared shirt and a white pocket square. He oozed with style and before was drawing quite a bit of attention with his looks because prior to Jason arriving, he was this neatly packaged together image of confidence, coolness, and fashion sense. The key word in that sentence was 'was.'

As soon as he turned around, Jason would see that the cowboy had now broken out in a nervous cold sweat. He refused to look him in the eyes and just had this very forced smile. "I, uh, nobody in particular. Just standing around... in a suit... by a contest hall for no reason. Absolutely no reason at all." said Connor, fiddling with his suit's cufflinks nervously.

This man was a terrible liar.

The thing is, Connor wasn't alone in being dressed up. There were others wearing fashionable suits and dresses waiting around. Well, arguably fashionable. Some were dressed up in clothes that many would consider would be flashy and tasteless and some had makeup so thickly applied to their face that one would question where their face was. Growing up in Hoenn, the birthplace of Pokemon Contests, Jason would know that people would dress up for these events.
@samreaper

"Kid, you don't get it. Not everything can be solved by just talking it out. What were you going to say? Work for them until I paid off what I stole? In the end, I'd just be sent to jail and the damned Lunds would just send someone to kill me while the guards turn a blind eye. I'm just trying to prolong the inevitable. Hate me all you want if it makes you feel better. It'll make this a lot easier for both of us if you do."

He sighed and just listed to the verbal assault that Tristan gave him. Robbie just let the boy get it all out of his chest and then just chuckled bitterly because frankly, he really didn't have much else in the way of his own defense other than he just wanted to live.

"You're right, I am a liar and a thief. Some things don't really change after all no matter how much you wish, but I do wonder... If I am a liar and thief, then what does that make you, Glory? A root from the seeded corruption?"

He had this bitter smirk on his face as he asked the question, watching to see whatever reaction that the boy had.

The battle commenced, and Tristan showed that he was not going to show any mercy by going two against 1. Well, if he wanted to play it like that then fine.

"Avoid the feathers with Quick Attack into the Riolu." Rather than simply trying to jump back, the Ditto dashed forwards towards the feathers quickly enough that the feathers were just piercing the ground while it dashed to the opposing Riolu. The two would clash though Princess would be knocked back from the impact of the Ditto's own Quick Attack. While Transform copies the stats, stat changes, moves, abilities, and so on, it did not scale with the Pokemo. If the Ditto was of a lower level, then it would simply be a weaker version of Princess so if the inverse was true then that meant that this was version of Princess was superior to the original.

"Now kick up some dust!" Robbie commanded. The Ditto dugs its foot into the dry, loose soil of the dry canal and kicked it up to create a cloud of dust that would obscure the mimic Pokemon. The Ditto was able to use the Riolu's ability to sense aura and took advantage of its obscureness and leaped out of the dust cloud back to its trainer's side.

He glanced down at his Pokemon and said, "Ditto, Transform again."

This time, the form of what was a Riolu twisted and molded into a certain magenta bird though with the eyes of a Ditto.

"Use Feather Dance on the Murkrow and follow up with Peck on the Riolu."

What does Tristan do in response?

@Zarkun

Alright, Slayer and the newly acquired Lucha were healed up and ready to explore what this village had to offer. Considering Jason was already in the Entertainment District, let's start Jason's adventure there.

Walking around in the district, he would have to wade through various crowds of people. It was actually incredible that the wooden platforms and the branches that supported them from below did not buckle from the combined weight of so many and from the various buildings. In those buildings were just people and their Pokemon having a fun time with various activities. Some were sitting around the various restaurants, cafes, and the like with Pokemon sitting around their partners were eating food that seemed to be making them friendlier towards their trainers. Actually, the Pokemon in most of the places beyond just eateries seemed to be friendlier.

Nearer the Elder Tree was one of the hottest and newest attractions was the Gym, a massive stadium that looked like it could seat hundreds upon hundreds of people. On it was the Evigian League symbol; a multi-colored mosaic Pokeball. It had electronic screens displaying a series of various animated graphics, advertisements, and then an animated cutaway of electricity splitting the screen did an image of a blonde teenager with various bangles and feathers adorned appeared with the name "Lightning Dancer, Thora Nilsen" in big, flashy letters crackling with electricity. It would seem to Jason that gym battles were now being pushed as public spectacle if this was any indication. Well, that and the ticket booths outside.

Continuing on he would find one of the other mainstays of the district, the Contest Hall. This too was also a stadium though perhaps a bit smaller in scope compared to the gym. The entire area surrounding it was actually filled to the brim with people, some potential Coordinators looking to make a name for themselves in the Evig Region Contest scene and many who were just spectators to the day's event. Jason though would recognize someone from that crowd; a very friendly Scraggy waving from afar to him. It was standing next to a very familiar cowboy that had traded in his typical ranch attire for a rather dashing suit that looked meticulously maintained. Connor's eyes followed the direction of where the little hoodlum Pokemon was waving towards and instantly the color from his face drained and did his best to pretend that Jason simply wasn't there.

If Jason ignored that and continued along, he would see some Pokemon he had not seen before wandering around. Running around the tree branches and the tops were these bizarre green monkey Pokemon with bushes on top of their heads. They didn't seem to be bothering anyone, they seemed to just be scavenging.

"Pansage, the Grass Monkey Pokemon. Pansage shares the leaf on its head with weary-looking Pokémon. These leaves are known to relieve stress. It's good at finding berries and gathers them from all over. It's kind enough to share them with friends."

Floating along the treetops were these purple balloons. Upon a glance they did not seem to be anything, but balloons, but when one paid more attention to them, the balloons had eyes. Some of them were just in place, with their limbs attached to the railing. Children were drawn to them, but their parent's tugged them away.

"Drifloon, the Balloon Pokemon. Perhaps seeking company, it approaches children. However, it often quickly runs away again when the children play too roughly with it. Stories go that it grabs the hands of small children and drags them away to the afterlife. It dislikes heavy children."

Once he had his fill of the Entertainment District, it was time for Jason to venture forth and ride one of the cable carts down to another level. The cart would eventually reach its stop with a sway and then a stillness.

@Joshua Tamashii

The Yamask looked at her with great intrigue though not because of her friendly, calming aura, rather because she gave off the feeling of death that one would not expect from a eleven-year-old girl. Well, perhaps death was an exaggeration, but she gave off the feeling spectral feeling that ghost-types typically gave off. It just hovered in front of her instead of returning her handshake mainly because it could not get a read on what exactly she was. Amelia wasn't a ghost, at least it did not think she was. No one had died on this route, at least as far it knew.

This Yamask was not the only one curious ghost; other Yamask popped out of the walls and even the Golets stopped what they were doing just to gather around her and looked at her with great curiosity. Her spectral abilities had an energy that drew in ghost-type Pokemon. They were not attacking though; they had any visible intentions that they were going to gang up on the pre-teen. Their intent was simply trying to understand this less than 5- foot-tall anomaly.

What does Amelia do?

@Sanguine Rose

Neil turned to Fate with a look of surprising. He actually was not expecting for her to offer any help and well, typically he would not even accept something like this without a second thought but given the situation he wasn't one that can turn down such an offer. Who in the world would have thought that things would had gotten this

"Well, to be honest I am getting concerned about where the kid had gone off to. The property is very big, even your Rowlet would have trouble finding him if you don't know where to look and if he got into trouble out there, it would be impossible for us to know. I should've asked the kid for his number."

He stood there tapping his foot in thought trying to think of something when a realization dawned on him.

"Wait, I have something that can help.", said the Ursaring of a man. He quickly ran off with equally thumping footsteps back into the house before coming back a few minutes later with a pair of very fancy, fashionable shoes that would be very easy to recognize from a disgruntled rich boy.

"I had him change his shoes out for some boots. No point in ruining them by walking in Tauros patties. You said your Eevee can smell him out, right? Let's see if you really can find him." he explained before putting the shoes down to let Sage get a whiff to find the scent of Tristan.

What does Faye do?

@Lunarlord34

Enough effort that it should've technically gone down, but that would mean for the GM to actually set up another encounter, so we'll just say that this Wingull in particular was far more resilient or perhaps out of spite for the loss of its manwich. Honestly, could be both. Steph seemed to be in the habit of just pissing off bird Pokemon, if charging beak first at the Sneasel was any indication. Now that was something that would've hurt, except, well, it ate shit.

An ice shard smacked into it with a crit and now it was just lying on the ground, twitching. This thing was basically at 1 HP so there was no real point in Jack to actually follow up the rest of the order. Any more would just knock it out.

Honestly, there's no point in making a separate post to catch the Wingull because it had no way of breaking out of a Pokeball anyway

It rolled once... it rolled twice...it rolled thrice!

What does Steph do now?

@Lunarlord34

Ah yes, intent. The true way to understand someone when you can't understand what the actually fresh fuck they are saying.

Also, RIP manwich, we hardly knew ye.

The Wingull retaliated with water gun to collide against the ice projectiles rocketing towards the bird, taking one of them out in and pulverizing it into chunks though it was not so lucky with the other two. It missed its water gun and was smashed against the two icicles. This bird was already beginning to look like it was getting a bit tired from the beat down though despite the punishment it was enduring, it was still raring to go. This time it was able blast the Ice Shards out of the air with its Water Gun and watched as the Sneasel was trying to pull of his pretty risky maneuver.

The Wingull watched as the bipedal weasel jump off the wall and propel itself towards the Wingull in the air with an Ice Shard, readying its claws for a Scratch attack. In response, the Wingull used Water Gun again on the midair Sneasel. Now, the issue is that at this point it would be safe to say that the Sneasel was already committed to the attack so any chance of dodging would be impossible. The only way it would get out of this is if the Wingull missed.

Jack was met with the full force of a blast of water colliding against him and blasted towards the ground. It was a critical hit! Lucky for the Sneasel though, it wouldn't be enough to knock it down, but was it going to hurt.

The Wingull followed up with Quick Attack.

How does Steph respond?

@samreaper

"You're a bit too late. I don't have any of the goods on me. They've already been handed off to the goons and probably sold off somewhere. This though?" Robbie said, holding up a manilla folder and waving it around before tossing it down to the ground for Princess to pick up. "Totally useless to you. There is not a chance in hell that you or most of the region would be able to understand what this contains, but if it gets your Riolu off my back."

Indeed, he made no effort to stop the Riolu from retrieving what he had just dropped. As soon as Tristan had it in his hands, he knew that whatever was in that folder was not money. The mob was not paying Robbie monetarily; they were paying him with the privilege of living. It was a stack of paper, but whatever was actually on that paper remained to be seen. Despite this, one would be a fool to think that there was no importance placed upon these papers. Robbie risked getting caught and rushed his way to that rundown shack of a cabin to retrieve these papers for some reason. Tristan better hold onto that folder tightly.

Tristan received Manilla Folder

Since Robbie did not put up a fight just like Tristan asked, he was led out of the tunnel. He had to squint as his eyes recalibrated to the now evening sun setting over them and took a deep breath of the fresh air after breathing in that damp, musty tunnel air. He chuckled bitterly and looked at Tristan with a sarcastic smile on his face.

"You know, I really did like this place. They gave me a chance that no one else ever did and treated me like family. I had a real sense of belonging and then I ballsed it all up. Shame that I'll never see it again... Not in the way that you think though."

The Pokeball flashed and out came the Ditto from earlier.

Ditto, the Transform Pokemon. It can reconstitute its entire cellular structure to change into what it sees, but it returns to normal when it relaxes. When it encounters another Ditto, it will move faster than normal to duplicate that opponent exactly.

That Ditto then begin to physically reconstitute itself into the Pokemon that was in front of it, Princess the Riolu. Tristan and Princess would watch as this thing shifted and twisted until it was the spitting image of the Riolu standing in front of it.

"Sorry kid, but you really shouldn't trust others that easily. Not when it's a matter of life and death. Now, give me back that folder or, well, I don't think either of us are gonna like what will happen next."

If Tristan refuses, well, we all know what will happen and let's be honest, Tristan is gonna get that damn Torchic even if it kills him..

Farmhand Robbie challenges you!

@Zarkun

Again, the Hawlucha's eyes glowed again as it used Detect and leaped out of the way of the invisible force though the follow attack was quite literally impossible to dodge. The sound waves imbued with mystical energy reverberated throughout the battlefield. The Hawlucha grabbed its head as it tried to block out the sound to no avail though in a rush to end this fight, it charged towards one of the Ralts doppelgangers and swung at it with all its might, putting so much of its weight forward to increase the impact as much as possible.

So, the Hawlucha rolled a 1.

The Ralts doppelganger phased through its attack and because the Hawlucha threw so much of its weight forward, it could not stop its momentum and tumbled through after image so spectacularly that it somersaulted straight into the crowd and actually smacked into someone, knocking that person over in the process. It received recoil damage from this massive failure and was trying to stand up and get its bearings only to receive a direct Confusion. The psychic attacked forced the luchador bird to stumble back and then glared a frightening glare at the Ralts.

It charged straight towards one of the Ralts' doppelgangers and this time, it's aim was true. It swung down its wing swathed with red energy to strike down at the tiny green creature who was also now leaping up at the Hawlucha for a Draining Kiss. It all came down to who reacted the fastest!

There was a momentary pause and... the Hawlucha glowed with magenta energy before it fell flat on its back. Slayer sealed the deal with a kiss on the cheek and a 20 dice roll.

The street clothed wearing young man that was acting as the referee ran onto the battlefield and declared, "We have a winner folks! The blue haired guy with the Ralts wins!"

The crowd just stared in awed silence before they erupted into roaring cheer for the little menace had been defeated!

Ralts grew to level 14!

While the audience was cheering, the Hawlucha's eyes shot wide open, and it jumped back on its feet looking around to try and figure out what it was going on until it realized that it... lost? It lost. There was something out there stronger than itself? Did that mean that there was something even stronger than his opponent?

The bird's fist clenched and stomped over to Jason and Slayer in a huff.

"Haw, hawlucha! Lucha haw!" It seemed to be demanding something from Jason. Slayer though would be able to understand clearly; it was demanding that Jason would take it on his journey to grow stronger and prove its strength against the world.

The Move Tutor smiled and said, "Right away miss. I will need to borrow your Blipbug for a little bit."

Stella would hand over the little Occul to the Move Tutor who then went to a backroom where she could hear them give encouragement to the Blipbug as it tried to learn a new move. Eventually after a period of time, the Move Tutor returned with her Blipbug and handed it back to her. "Here you go miss! Have a nice day!" Stella would hand over 500P.

After doing her shopping, she would head to the supposedly abandoned manor. Compared to how beautiful it was in its photos, it had seen better days. The red and white paint had faded to almost a gray and was chipping away, the windows were covered in a thick layer of dirt and dust, the wrought iron fencing was rusted, bits of wood looked like they were about to break off the house, and the grass was wild and unkempt. However, strangely enough the garden remained intact and was maintained with an obvious great affection.

When Stella knocked on the door, she heard an elderly voice ring out, "I'll be right there! Please give me a second!"

She would wait around for a few minutes until the door was slowly pulled open back to reveal a thin, elderly man with thick glasses and full head of gray hair. He smiled at him though there was a bit of confusion due to a stranger was standing at his doorway.

"Can I help you, miss?" He asked politely, his voice kind, yet frail.

@Sanguine Rose

"Eh, if you're coming over anyway then you can just use dad's printer." Rosa said as she kept an eye on the kids.

"If you're heading to the ranch then me and my sis better come back with you. If you're staying for dinner, then I'll have to tell mom or else she'll have my head. It is getting late anyway." It was becoming the late afternoon, the sky was becoming a blend of blue, orange, and purple hues as the sun started to set. While Faye's on a journey free of responsibility towards her parents, Rosa had to make sure that her preschool aged sister was back at home in time for dinner and bedtime lest she get a verbal lashing from her mother.

So, Faye was led to Frida's Ranch by Rosa and her little sister, Lisa, the girl that she fought earlier today with the Nickit. They would walk down the dirt path past other properties where people grew other things such as berry orchards and other crops. When they arrived at Frida's Ranch Eventually, they would arrive at what looked like a stereotypical ranch; a series of massive red wooden buildings with Pokemon contained in these enclosures. They were most definitely not wild Pokemon so they could not be captured, but that does not mean they can't be obtained.

In one partition, there were two kinds of Pokemon that looked very similar; they were both wooly things though one species had a white coat and another with a yellow coat.

Pokédex Entry #179 – Mareep, the Wool Pokemon. Clothing made from Mareep's fleece is easily charged with static electricity, so a special process is used on it. The more static electricity is charged, the more brightly the lightbulb at the tip of its tail glows.

Pokédex Entry #831 – Wooloo, the Sheep Pokemon. Its curly fleece is such an effective cushion that this Pokémon could fall off a cliff and stand right back up at the bottom, unharmed. If its fleece grows too long, Wooloo won't be able to move. Cloth made with the wool of this Pokémon is surprisingly strong.

There two pens where pink, round bovines were separated from these fierce bulls with three tails. For some reason, looking at the pink cows would instill a primal fear that would be hard to explain as if a collective consciousness has experienced their wrath.

Pokédex Entry #241 – Miltank, the Milk Cow Pokemon. Miltank produces highly nutritious milk, so it's been supporting the lives of people and other Pokémon since ancient times. This Pokémon needs to be milked every day, or else it will fall ill. The flavor of Miltank milk changes with the seasons.

Pokédex Entry #128 – Tauros, the Wild Bull Pokemon. When Tauros begins whipping itself with its tails, it's a warning that the Pokémon is about to charge with astounding speed. Once it takes aim at its foe, it makes a headlong charge. It is famous for its violent nature.

Then there were these little orange chickens walking around by a coop pecking ground.

Pokédex Entry #255 – Torchic, the Chick Pokemon. Torchic sticks with its Trainer, following behind with unsteady steps. This Pokémon breathes fire of over 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit, including fireballs that leave the foe scorched black. It has a place inside its body where it keeps its flame. Give it a hug—it will be glowing with warmth. This Pokémon is covered all over by a fluffy coat of down.

However, there was something completely off. The entire farm was in a state of panic. People seemed to be running all over the place as if they were looking for something as if their lives depended on it. From what Faye could pick up, they were looking for some Pokemon that could transform and that was marked with magenta feathers by a trainer's Pokemon. Judging by the looks of confusion on both Rosa and Lisa, her little sister's face, this was not the norm.

"The fresh hell is this?" Rosa asked herself.

"Rosa said a bad word!"

"Shut it."

Among those running around was this massive bear of man in a red plaid shirt, denim overalls, and black boots. his man had arms like steel girders, barrel chested, and had a lush, full brown beard and bushy eyebrows that obscured his face. He saw the girls and sprinted over to them; the ground shook a bit with each step and then easily towered over them. It would be more accurate to say that he was more bear than man.

"Rosa, Lisa! You're back!" He exclaimed before glancing at the new girl for a brief moment. "Who's your friend?"

"Um, this is Faye and uh... Okay, what's going on?", asked Rosa.

"We finally have a clue on the thief. We hired this trainer to help, and it seems like he figured something out... I have no idea where he is though"

"Can we help? Can we, can we?", said Lisa, the little preschooler.

Her father just grimaced at the very thought of having her help, knowing that it would be extra work to just keep an eye on her while they were looking for the thief."Uh, please just take your sister inside and keep an eye on her."

"Got it." Rosa would drag along the little girl complaining a storm to the audible relief of their father.

He turned to Faye and said very apologetically, "I'm sorry, but this is really a bad time right now. We can't really entertain guests until we sort this out. You can go inside with the girls or come back later."

What does Faye want to do?
@Lunarlord34

Well, they certainly got its attention alright. The ember didn't hit the Wingull, it hit the sandwich with enough force to knock it out of its claws and careened down to the salt water in a smoldering mess.

"Gull gull!" Which translated to, My manwich!

The bird did a complete U-turn to fly towards the jerks that burnt its rightfully earned sandwich, which it stole, but stealing was work, only to meet face first with a fucking icicle. The poor Wingull just fell and almost smacked the ground though it just in time regained its balance in the air and glide along the ground as Jack tried to jump it. Unfortunate for Jack, the Wingull was actually quick enough to respond with a Water Gun and blasted the Sneasel away with a forceful stream of water from its mouth.

The Wingull just looked at Steph with some fight in its eyes. "Gull!"

Steph does not know what it said, but she can assume it was insulting.

Robbie just spun around in a panic to see that his way was blocked off by both sides though he was soon focused on Tristan who was going on about how there was no way out and to surrender peacefully. What his response? The farmhand began to laugh hysterically though it was not out of mockery towards Tristan's attempt at being some intimidating detective. This was broken, something that could come from a man at the end of his rope where the only sensible thing is to laugh at the absurdity of his situation.

This fit of laughter subsided eventually and the only thing Tristan could see was not the bright man from earlier, but someone who had been beaten down at everything this world had thrown at him, and he just could not take it anymore.

"You want to know? Fine, you're in this for the long haul whether you like it or not." He said with no ounce of resistance.

"I fell into debt with the worst kind of people imaginable in Neon Shore City a few months back. I had a winning streak in its casino though that was because I was counting cards, but uh, word to the wise, when the mob finds out you cheated them, they take exception to that. It was either that I found a way to make it square or I would be chopped up into feed. I don't know how they knew, but they knew that I was a farmhand here and had access to these Pokemon eggs on the ranch. They wanted me to steal the eggs and hand them off to their men. I'm guessing they were selling them off to someone for exorbitant prices, especially the Torchic eggs. God knows what's happened to them."

He could only chuckle bitterly at the point his life had entered and to make matters worse, it dragged innocent bystanders down with him.

"Kid, you are so out of your fucking depth. You have no idea how what kind of target you've put on your back just by getting involved. We're both already dead. You just don't know it yet."

He returned the Ditto to his Pokeball and looked back at Tristan.

"Just take me back. I'm tired of everything."

@Zarkun

The Hawlucha's eyes glowed for a brief moment, and it somehow just seemed to leap out of the way of an invisible force of psychic energy directed its way. That was the move Detect, which basically allowed a free dodge from any attack as it could just predict what attack would come its way.

In retaliation, the Hawlucha charged straight towards the Ralts though then there were suddenly a horde of Ralts courtesy of Double Team. The bird looked around confused and swung its wing at one of the doppelgangers only for it to pass through. It did notice that one of the Ralts figures released a wave of energy that rippled throughout the air, which was Hypnosis, but quickly was able to fly upwards to avoid it. The Hawlucha then flew down and smashed down with a Wing Attack against one of the figures only to find it was again another doppelganger and then just ate a Confusion from behind.

It stumbled a bit from the impact, showing obvious signs of damage and even more obvious signs of anger. It wanted what it would call an 'honest' fight. No trickery, no status inducing moves, just pure one on one combat. That was its nature so the fact that it was struggling against a Ralts of all things was certainly an insult.

A red energy extended from its fingers and then traveled up its wings to create this bladed aura around it that expanded its wingspan. This was Hone Claws. It's attack and accuracy increased by 1 stage.

@Zarkun

Jason made his way back to the Entertainment District via cable car and eventually made his way back to the Battle Square where the crowd did not recede at all. In fact, it looked like there was a decent line of people chomping at the bit to take down this half-sized feathered luchador. Jason would have no choice, but to stand in the queue that was getting shorter at an alarming rate. As he got closer, he would hear the occasional cries from the trainers who just were getting curb stomped and smeared around.

"Mercy, mercy!"

"Momma!"

"Wait, wait, wait!"

At this point this was just a glorified meat grinder and Jason was now the fresh meat. He was now standing face to face with this feathered, suplexing menace who was looking at the fledgling trainer with an ever-smug grin.

Jason was now standing in what was basically just a wooden arena where people were sitting on bleachers that were also made of wood just watching the slaughter. Standing in the middle of the arena seemed to be a young man in baggy street wear standing in as a referee who began this match with an announcement.

"Alright, the rules for this battle are simple! It is a one v. one match instead of our usual three v. three format! Meaning, you are only allowed one Pokemon for this battle! The Hawlucha will be treated as if it is a trainer so that means you are not allowed to catch it! The first one to knock out their opponent will be considered the winner!"

The referee turned to Jason and said, "Send out your Pokemon."

@CitrusArms

From the brochures she would weirdly enough, there was only surface level information on the decrepit house. What she could find was that it was around since the creation of Florasong over a hundred-years-ago and that it once was the home to the Osmans, a once prominent noble family that has now fallen into ruin. There were even photos of paintings of the house in its prime; a beautifully red painted manor with white trimming and ivy growing up its walls and a lush well-kept garden that looked like it once had a hundred hands working on it. There was even a technicolor photograph of a happy, handsome family that looked like it was taken in the last 90 years: a woman, a man in a wheelchair, and a little girl. Why this had happened to them, what their current situation is, and why the once glorious home was in currently in this rundown state was not answered in these brochures.

Once she felt she had done enough light reading and picked her Pokemon up, she had decided to check out the Move Tutor. The Move Tutor smiled welcomingly and spoke with a jovial tone.

"Yes, I am miss. We are now back in every Pokemon Center in the region to offer our services. We keep the more powerful moves behind gym badges though, so your options are a bit limited."

When asked about what he could teach her Blipbug, he did look a bit concerned at the question because they are not known exactly for having the most diverse learn set out there in the Pokemon world. He actually had to pull out a book to see if it could even learn a move that is available to her, but luckily showed visible signs of relief.

"Ah, well it can learn one move that we can offer at your level of experience. It can learn Infestation. If you wish to learn more moves, then you'd need to evolve it at level 10. I'm sure you can do it!"

He then proceeded to cross check the book again when asked about the other Pokemon she would be interested in teaching and promptly said, "Well, for Joltik you can learn Bug Bite, Shock Wave, and Infestation. Your Tyrunt can learn Hone Claws from what is available at your level as well."

The book was then shut with a loud thump. It does contain information about practically all known Pokemon.

"Each move will cost 500P a pop. However, I feel like I should show you what other options you have for the future."

The Move Tutor handed her a list of moves.

@samreaper

From King's perspective, he would see the Ditto return with a manilla envelope that seemed to be filled to max capacity and a flashlight, handing them to Robbie. "Thanks, little buddy. Now, let's get out of here before they find us." The man stood up from his chair and limped over to a table and just knocked it over with a loud thud before he knelt down and felt around for something before, he found his grip. He lifted up a panel of wood and tossed it to the side to reveal a secret passage down below the house.

"Dit? Ditto?"

"What? No, of course I wasn't followed! Now hurry before they figure it all out!"

The Ditto hopped on his shoulder and Robbie began to climb down the ladder that Tristan saw earlier.

What would King do?

Meanwhile, Robbie and his Ditto were now in the dark tunnel and turned-on a flashlight, which Tristan from a distance could see from where he was, but the farmhand was too far away himself for the light to reach our hero of the story. Robbie would continue to press forward as fast as anyone could with an injured leg and Tristan could see the light get closer and closer to him. It probably wouldn't be long until Robbie would actually see him.

What does Tristan do?
@Zarkun

For the sake of simplicity, let's say that Jason decided to hunt for the Starly and really, it was not that hard to find one since they were all over the canopy of the village. He found this one literally just minding its own business until Jason so rudely interrupted its good vibes by throwing a sparkling bipedal gator at it.

The bird would counter its defense drop by using Growl to lower Sable's attack and would begin use Quick Attack to strike a pace faster than the Totodile could predict. However, it would still get hit with the Scratches that Sable would retaliate with. It was not a very exciting battle full of strategy; it was just two Pokemon beating the ever-loving crap out of each other until that bird was weak enough to go into a ball or until Sable went down. Fortunately, Jason did throw a Pokeball before Sable would go down and was absorbed into it.

It rolled once... it rolled twice... it rolled thrice!

Let's assume that Jason went to a Pokemon Center to heal up before going back to the woods.

Training in the woods, the main targets were just grass and bug type Pokemon, one of them being Shroomish. This Pokemon was particularly annoying to fight against due to physical contact moves triggering Effect Spore, which imparts a random status effect on the attacker.

Still, he got some training done and even trained against a the occasional uncommon Pokemon.

Aipom, the Long Tail Pokemon. It uses its tail to pluck fruits that are out of reach. Its tail is more adept than its real hands.

"Farfetch'd, the Wild Duck Pokemon. The Farfetch'd of the Galarian variety are brave warriors, and they wield thick, tough leeks in battle."

"Okay, we gotta disappear. There are no bones about it, if we are found out then the police will be the least of our concerns. We'll leave through the tunnel and sneak our way out of the property." He tried to walk, but he winced in pain and had to sit down on a very old, creaky wooden chair. The pink blob concerningly moved over to him, but Robbit said, "I'll be fine. I just need to rest a bit. Please get the stash, Ditto."

The pink blob did some sort of nod and began to slide away as it seemed to be rummaging through some old furniture in

"God dammit, why me? Why did this have to happen to me?" He hid his face in his palms.

Meanwhile on Tristan's end, Princess removed the rest of the dirt from the door and opening it revealed an obviously manmade tunnel if the door wasn't an indication. There was an eerie silence as there were no Pokemon or any sound in that tunnel let alone any light source save from using something like his Pokedex's screen to light the way. Eventually, he wound find an end and there was a ladder and above him were now cracks of light.

@Joshua Tamashii

Amelia bought 5 Potions.

She now has 1500P left.

After buying what she needed from the Pokemart, Amelia has now begun to look for the source of this spectral energy. There was no clear way of walking straight towards the source from Grand Glory so she would have to actually leave the city by one of its two routes. Considering that she wanted to avoid Florasong as much as possible, she would head south of the city. The further she went, the more he would notice that size of the buildings were less grand and sparce the greater the distance she walked. There was both a main road for vehicles to travel and a well-maintained dirt walkway for travelers making their way to the Starbor Woods and beyond if they were so inclined. She began to hear the sound of running water.

@Lunarlord34

After a quite modest lunch, Steph and Freya went to a Pokemart and got her supplies after paying a very confused cashier though because she bought ten Pokeballs she also received a free Premier Ball.

Steph bought 10 Pokeballs and 3 Potions.

Steph received a Premier Ball.

Steph was left with now 400 P.

After that, Steph had decided to do some asking around just to learn about the region with... varying results. Her accent didn't really help that much though thankfully she had a friend to help clear some misunderstandings up and was given some general info about the region though nothing really all that notable really. The thing is that a lot of people gave a lot of answers that sounded like they were for tourists, offering things that either equate into tourist traps, restaurants, or extremely useless trivia that would only be useful for pub trivia night. However, there were some sensible people that actually had something that would be at least somewhat helpful to tell Steph.

"I've heard that there's something going on in the Corrupted Marsh. The Pokemon are agitated for some reason and are attacking anyone that walks in."

"Have you checked out the ruins on Route 4? Strange things they are. They're covered in writing that no one can understand though ghost types seem to love it around there. I wonder what they say."

"Tourist huh? If you're gonna head north, then I suggest you buy something warm. Route 8 and Frostford snow all year round and trust me, you don't want to go there unprepared. I swear, it ain't natural."

"Huh, exploring the region, are you? Word of advice. If you are ever in Neon Shore City, do your best to keep your head low. Not much good happens getting noticed there."

"Oh? If you're heading to the Starbor Woods, then you should get some tree climbing equipment. You can find some pretty interesting things up in them."

"Did you know that some of the Pokemon in Evig have regional forms? Some of them are a bit harder to find than others, but I if you're a trainer I'm sure you'll want to seek them out."

Speaking of thieving Winguls, Steph would see one of these water rats with wings not steal some chips, but a full-on sandwich from a very portly dark-skinned man with dreadlocks and glasses. "My manwich!"

@Sanguine Rose

Rosa took a second to think about it though it was really just a second. "Eh, sure why not? As long you aren't posting it online it should be fine. Gather around kids!"

It didn't take a lot to wrangle the kids though there was the challenge of taking the photos of kids; they do not know how to sit still. There were so many failed attempts of getting a single photo of them sitting still and looking at the camera. Eventually though, Faye would get a singular photo where they just sat still and looked straight at the camera much to Rosa and our photographer's relief.

"Ah, sorry about that. Herding kids is like herding Purrloin." Apologized Rosa for the amount of effort it took to get one photo.

@Zarkun

At the cable cart stop, he would see this yellow and red cart slowly come down and halt to a stop. Its doors slid open, and people flooded in and out of the cart. The interior looked very much of that like a bus; it had seats where there were probably not enough seats and some poles that people could hold onto. It would stop every now and again to let people off and in from the different districts and give him a peek of what the other districts were like. One looked a bazaar filled with stalls and other storefronts with people all about looking for deals and another district looked like it had academic buildings and various cafes where scholarly people were hanging about.

These were not a quick means of transportation; the cart was slow, which was not helped by the many stops that it made. Occasionally at the higher levels, there would be a gust of wind that would jostle the cart. Eventually, the cart would stop one more time and the electronic announcer finally said...

It wasn't a long walk from the cable cart stop and the Battle Square. In fact, it was not very hard to find it at all. Sure, the Entertainment District was typically a bit crowded, but as he walked long the wooden platforms that made up the layer, he would see people pressed together as they were trying to get a view of something. That was until they all seemed to jump out of the way as some rando was sent flying by his own Pokemon being smashed into them. This earned a lot of pained 'oooos' and other grunts.

The culprit for this was this bipedal bird standing just slightly over two inches and looked like it was ripped straight out of some wrestling program. It was posing in celebration for its glorious victory over another trainer, a complete and utter blowhard of a Pokemon though one cannot deny its results.

Jason would not have a clue what this Pokemon was given that he was from the Hoenn region, but his handy dandy Pokedex sure knew what it was.

@samreaper

Robbie approached the house, not noticing King in his state of panic, and went inside. The man seemed obviously shaken and looked around in a frenzy. "Come on Ditto, I know you're here."

A blobby, pink thing that still had a few magenta feathers moved out appeared from underneath an old, broken sofa. "Ditto?"

Meanwhile...

There was something that Tristan did not notice given that he decided to not investigate the wall that Princess was facing, which had the scent of King still lingering through. It was actually a bit different compared to the rest of canal; the dirt looked less packed together, as if the dirt was a bit looser for some reason. In his fit of despair, when Tristan first punched the ground, a bit of the loose earth fell off. When Tristan then fell on his back, more of the dirt fell this time in a larger chunk that fell on the poor lad though it was a stroke of luck. There was a dusty, still half covered in dirt, wooden door.

@Lunarlord34

The waiter just looked at Steph as if she had Caterpies crawling out of her ears, but again, Freya was there to help translate for her, who is also translating for the narrator because what in the fresh hell is a 'pahmi?' Well, maybe the prospect of food was improving her mood because the fact that the Galarian's eyes lit up did not escape Freya. However, the gossip was actually what escaped her as she caught none of what was said around them.

"You seem to be in a bit of a better mood now." Freya commented with a smile as she leaned back in her seat though she did sigh as she did seem to be a bit bothered herself. "I can't imagine that Evig has made a very good first impression on you considering what you've seen today. Well, except for that guy with the Kalosian accent. We take no responsibility for that."

Really, it would have been reasonable to have a bit of a tainted image of what Evig was like after the kind of people that Steph had met. Thugs, scam artists, a Kalosian... it would be amazing that her view wasn't altered somewhat.

So, do Steph and Freya have a nice lunch and move on or is there something specific that Steph wants to do at the pub?
@Zarkun

So, Jason decided to ask the locals to learn about the village and its happenings.

"If you're looking for fun, head towards the Entertainment District. It's at the top of the village and generally has something for everyone though if you're a trainer you'll probably like the Battle Square. Funnily enough, a wild Pokemon has been challenging and beating trainers there."

"Oh, if you're looking for information you can go to the Scholar District. There is a library and a lab where a pretty famous professor who researches the ecology of Pokemon works. It's also where the local Pokemon Breeders are located where they specifically breed a regional variant of Voltorb that went extinct in their original region a few hundred years ago. There is someone there who is interested in researching something about the Forest Deity."

"They're some Pokemon in the Agricultural District. We are mainly a self-reliant, so we grow our own crops, but every now and again Pokemon decide that they want to snack on them to the frustration of the farmers."

"The Market District doesn't really have a department store, but more like various stalls and storefronts. At the top of my head, there's a farmers' market where the local farmers sell their goods, some useful for trainers like yourself. A wacky craftsman from Frostford that will sell you some random stuff has a shop set up there. Of course, there are other stores, but half of the fun is the exploring!"

Of course, this information is all incomplete and would need to venture into the areas himself to learn more about them though this was a start.

What does he do?

@samreaper

King would not notice anything really strange about anything around the house other than the fact that it looked like it would keel over from a strong gust of wind. It was a wonder how this place hasn't been taken down yet given much of a safety hazard that this thing was. Even flying down, King would not have noticed that were was anything odd, save for a single magenta feather on the rotten wooden floor. The thing that King had marked had been inside, or maybe still inside.

Meanwhile with the Princess and Tristan team, they went down this oversized, dried out irrigation channel to see where in the fresh hell it could've led. They walked down for only a few minutes before Princess would stop in her tracks. It was not that she lost the scent, not really. Rather, she just looked confused as she looked around because the thing was that she could still follow King's trail. The issue was that it would've been impossible to follow the scent because it would mean having to go through solid earth.

Princess was facing one of the walls of the channel.

@Joshua Tamashii

Without a moment of hesitation, the Mimikyu slapped the button on the Pokeball and was absorbed into it. The Pokeball would begin to roll in her hand.

It rolled once... it rolled twice...it rolled thrice!

A few moments later after whatever celebration that Amelia may have had, she felt something... odd. Not from the Pokeball that contained from her newly acquired Mimikyu. No, in fact it was something that typically would not, should not be possible. For a split second, maybe even less, she felt an explosion of spectral energy wash over her though it seemed to be quickly cut off by something. Every hair on her body would've been standing and even Amelia, the ghost girl, would've felt chills creeping down her spine. Of course, only Amelia would be able to notice this given her unique abilities.

What was odd about it is that Amelia's ability to sense this sort of thing had a limited range. She would have been able to gather that this was not happening anywhere in the city; such an occurrence would've actually been disastrous. If this was the case, it would mean that it was happening outside of the city and if that were the case, then it would mean that whatever this was it was powerful enough to trigger her sixth sense from a distance and as far as she knew was the only one aware of it.

For that split second, she would've been able to tell that the general direction that this energy came from between routes 1 and 4, towards Lake Charity.

(From the DM: This is an optional dungeon. Once you enter, you cannot leave until you succeed in clearing whatever objective you find or fail. Do whatever you need to prepare if you wish to go through with it.)

@Sanguine Rose

"Yeah, I could figure that out on my own. You didn't hide your nervousness when battling children very well." She said with a bit of a smirk in response to Faye's confession. It wasn't that hard to see when someone looked tense over battling with small children that barely had any idea what strategy was, but hey, at least she was decent enough that she could actually win. Well, that was a really low bar anyway.

Rosa just watched the interaction between Faye and her new companion, pretty amused that Mr. Hoots was actually a Mrs. Hoots. It wasn't really that surprising though. Who would expect preschoolers to properly check the sex of a Pokemon? They probably just said the first thing that came to their minds and stuck with it.

When asked about what life is like on a ranch, Rosa just shrugged. "Ehhhhh, it's fine, I guess. I tend to help out after school a bit though it's fun when we get to take care of the hatchlings. It's a bit far from here, considering we're off the beaten path, but once we get back on track it should only be a few minutes by foot."

They were in the middle of a field after all. They would need to come back the way they came in order to get back on the route proper. Seeing as this was the case, Rosa shrugged again and said "Eh, sure. Why not? We're heading back the same way anyway."

With that, they made their way through the fields again until they were back on Route 1 proper. Eventually, they would find that the kids had indeed caught up to the Wooloo and was now safely just napping under a tree.

One of them asked, "Did you catch Mr. Hoots?"

@Lunarlord34

"Oh, my brother gave me this little guy when I was selected to take part of the League. It's his Hydreigon's kid though he's a bit..." She glanced at the Deino chewing on the table before she loosened its jaw and pulled its head back. Its tongue popped out in a derpy manner as it seemed to stare into space though it was hard to tell due to its fur obscuring its eyes.

Meanwhile the Growlithe happily received some head pats from Steph, instantly gaining its favor. When asked about where she obtained this fire puppy, Freya said,"Oh, there are some Growlithes back in the park by the Trainer's School. The park is typically used as a place to help new trainers learn how to catch Pokemon, among other things."

When asked about what people usually eat in this joint, she leaned out of her seat as if she was looking for something. "Oh, yeah, menus." Freya waved down a server who brought a really cheap looking menu that was stained in some sort of sauce and reeked of booze.

Steph was handed a menu and really, it was standard fair pub food such as burgers and fish and chips though there was an entire section dedicated to curry, which in a way makes sense because that was Galar's favored dish and they were in a Galarian pub. Of course, the menu had a drinks section that both contained a list of beers, wines, and the like, but because they were both underaged, they were not allowed order these drinks, so they were only allowed to order only non-alcoholic drinks, including mocktails if they were so inclined.

While Steph was looking at the menu, she'd hear a few conversations that may have been of interest to her.

"Hey, have you heard about some weird Pokemon coming out from the sewers at night?"

"Yeah, no idea what's going on there. I wonder what the deal with that is though I'm sure as hell not exploring those sewers looking for it."

From another table, she could hear another interesting conversation.

"I'm telling you, when I was hiking outside the city, I felt the fear of god in me. For some reason when I was heading closer to Lake Charity, every fiber in my being screamed at me to run. I've never felt this fearful in my life."

"Sounds like a you problem. Ever thought of getting a new hobby?"

"Screw you."

Before Steph could eavesdrop more, the server returned and asked, "Freya, miss. Any drinks first or are we ready to order?"
@Zarkun
The Breeder smiles and takes the Pokeball from the counter. "Excellent. I'll just take your Pokemon to the back and begin to tutor it." The Breeder went to a backroom behind him and for a few moments there was silence before there was a loud crash and yelling only for him to come back out with tattered clothes, bruises, and Jason's Pokemon back in its ball.

Oscissor learned Ominous Wind!

"Thank you... Can I help you with anything else?" He said shakily and a forced smile.

The kid was hiding behind his mother, holding his Ratata as he kept his distance from the Mimikyu. Meanwhile the mother smiled at the strange, creepy creature and said, "Is that so? Well, thank you very much Mimikyu." She looked down to the child behind her legs peeping over to look down at the ghost-type Pokemon with great apprehension.

"Aren't you going to thank it too? It found your friend." said the mother.

"Um, thank you for taking care of Chewy." The child finally said before quickly hiding behind his mother again. It was only natural that this child was afraid of the Mimikyu. Ghost types have a terrible reputation and the fact that Mimikyu looks like a deranged voodoo doll thanks to its scuffed cloak only made it worse, but luckily, at least someone seemed to be more eager to show its appreciation.

The Ratata popped out of the boy's arms and ran over to the Mimikyu to give it an affectionate head bump before running back to its owner where they would walk away while waving the Mimikyu and Amelia goodbye until they left the Pokemon Center.

The Mimikyu was looking up at Amelia, not in a way that could be said expectantly, but hopeful that she would keep her word and take it along with her on whatever journey the girl was on. It was better than being alone again. "Mimu?"

Thus, the escapades of King began once again. The Murkrow flew above Bill and managed to keep his distance away from the farm hand while he followed him though it did not actually matter. Bill was simply too preoccupied.

This man rolled a nat 1 in not just the game, but in life in general. He would have not noticed the magenta-colored bird even if King was flying so close to his ear and breathing in it. No, he was in a complete state of panic and pain as he limped his way through the fields instead of going to the security station like he said he was going to with King trailing not far from him. King could see from his vantage point in the air an old, dilapidated. forgotten cabin, an unpainted, dingey gray building with a dark roof that was slumped and looked like it was slowly caving in on itself. This seemed to be where Bill was heading towards.

Meanwhile, Princess was having some slight issue with Tristan's order. There were two trails that had King's scent: one that led to King and the one that led to the Pokemon that was covered in King's feathers. However, it seemed like she was able to find the right trail, which after about five minutes led to a large, empty ditch though really it was an empty irrigation channel where the water is shared between farms though judging by how dry it was it was pretty plain to see it had not been used in years. Princess could smell that the trail continued down in the old irrigation cannel. They would need to go down it.

@Sanguine Rose

In her desperate attempt to catch the Rowlet, Faye threw a Pokeball at the bird with as much force as she could muster. The ball smacks against the top of the bird's head and is absorbed in a beam of red light. It lands and begins to roll.

It rolled once... it rolled twice...it rolled thrice!

"Huh, not bad. I was expecting it to floor you, but I suppose you're a bit better than I expected." The young farmgirl said with a smirk. She looked as if she had been thoroughly entertained and at least in a good mood again. "By the way, I realized I never introduced myself. The name is Rosa Andersen." She said holding her hand out for a handshake. If Faye were to reciprocate, it would feel like her hand was caught in a calloused vice.

"If you ever need a place to crash for the night after adventuring and all, just head over to Frida's Ranch. My parent's own it and if you tell them that I told you to come they'll probably be cool with it. They're nice folk.
