"Hmmm, quite the roster. Makes one wonder how-wait.... hold on a second.", commented the Griggs family heir before he caught a tidbit in Archimedes' debrief. "There were two Team A members that weren't with the initial group? They aren't even here?"

On one hand, the two missing members were spared the unknown fate of Team A, but on the other hand....

Team A went into a Singularity down two Masters, which translated into two Servants they didn't have. That number could've made all the difference between Team A going missing/KIA and Team B not being here and still going about our day. Plus, they weren't even here! This isn't some annual convention that comes around once a year, this is the Preservation of Human History we're talking about here! All hands should be on deck! Hell, why not add those two to Team B!? That way, there'd be more Masters, which means more Servants and a better chance for.....

Conner pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. Scarlett's argument and criticism made a lot more sense now.

"On second thought, forget what I said. It doesn't matter and the clock is ticking. Let's just hope that the Servants we get are just as good and capable."
@vancexentan

Libra? Capricorn?

Puzzled, Conner took a quick glance behind him and, sure enough, there was no one immediately behind him. Who was Scarlett talking about?

"No here is questioning your experience or leadership, Leon. Scarlett does bring up a sound argument, despite her subpar delivery.", spoke Conner. "As she stated, I truly don't have any experience on a battlefield. Hell, the only 'fighting' I ever done were practice scenarios back at the Clock Tower. When it comes to Servants, this makes the mission riddled with potential problems. Communication, synergy and teamwork are essential between Master and Servant, let alone a group of Masters and Servants. What if the Servants we're about to summon don't like each other? Given the circumstances, we don't have the luxury of time to resolve any grudges that might come up. Simply put, we're about rayshift into a highly dangerous environment, with a team where only half of its members have actual battle experience, with Servants we just summoned and met, to either search and rescue or, if Team A really is dead, continue the mission. And, just to put the cherry on top of this dreadful cake, the potential unknowns that are certainly going to be thrown at us when we get there......However...

The young man gave a resigned sigh.

"If there is the slightest chance that any member of Team A still being alive, we have to take it. Like Director Orson said, they were the best of us. It's not right leaving them behind and it sure as hell ain't right leaving them behind if they're alive. Yeah, I'll admit it: I'm scared of what could lurking in this Singularity. Then again.....ain't courage heading towards and confronting danger, despite how scared you might be? Regardless, if this is what we must do.....then I say let's do it."

Besides, if THEY fail, Chaldea would just nuke the Singularity, though potentially destroying the foundation of humanity would definitely give anyone pause.
Nevermind, then. As you all were.

”That being said, it’s interesting to see more foreigners join our group. Especially when they’re a pair consisting of a little birdie and buzzing fly.” Her comment was more jovial and playful than anything else. ”My, how fun it would be to trap you both in a myriad of enchanted webbing. Oh! But, I don’t think Shizu-kun would approve of that, teehee.”

"Slow your roll there, uber-spider. I'm a Hornet, not a Beelzebub. Do I look like I rummage through garbage for a meal?", Kerry retorted before flinching back in shock and blushing at Atsuha's second statement. "G-Geez, you're that kind of freaky. You sure it's the Varjans I need to watch out for?"

Before she could continue, Kerry snapped her head toward the nearby woods, her antennas twitching.

Something's closing on the camp....fast.

The hornet jumped down from her branch walked towards where Shizuka stood, her hand stretched out and waiting.

"Identify yourself"

"What he said. Nice and slow.", Kerry added as the cool metal of Dusk smacked into her hand, planting the blunt end to the ground as she stood beside the samurai. "After what we've been through today, we're not in the mood for any games."
Is Noblebandit still with us? It's been a while since he last posted.
@vancexentan

Oh, we've gone from bad to worse, huh?

This was the sober thought that crossed Conner's mind as he took in the general demeanor of the two men before him. Archimedes was being uncharacteristically serious and Orson, though valiant in the effort, was obviously barely keeping his composure. The words haven't been said, but the message was clear:

Shit has hit the fan.....Hard.

"Do you have any questions before we go on? I can't stress more how urgent this matter is. But I can't send new agents out without answering some of their questions." Orson said

"Just two, Director.", spoke Conner, tone respectful and proper. "How bad is it and is Team A.....down?"

Clearly, the young man had another word in mind, but he didn't want to make the Archibald head anymore stressed than he already was.

"Please, do not be alarmed by his presence." She placed a hand on Sam's shoulder. "Yes, he is a male monster. And yes, that is not supposed to be possible, unless he's an incubus, which he clearly isn't. But he's not some freak of nature. He's a perfectly good natured person."

"Speaking of which...", Kerry announced, deciding that now seemed like a good time to talk about it. "Is anyone else here floored by the fact that there are FOUR male monsters here? I'm still trying to make sense of what I'm seeing. The Great Change made every monster on land, sea or air female. How did you guys avoid it? Just you four existing has world-changing implications if either the Order or Demon Lord catches wind of you. Hell, the Order, and by extension the Varjans, might just try to kill you to prove a point, perhaps on some belief that the Demon Lord isn't all-powerful or some stupid shit like that."
I.....just got done with all the Alexander raids in FF14: Heavensward. It took me ALL DAY to do it, but I did it! Proud of myself, honestly.

I'm taking a break from the game, so I'll have a post up tomorrow.
Our samurai boy drank the Kool-Aid! XD
Whoops! My bad! Fixing it now!
