Here's my guy, I'll make the girl tomorrow (or rather, later today )

@sassy1085 Well hello, old friend. ^^ Long time, no see!
May I join in on this adventure? ^^ Was thinking of a 25-year-old male mid-rank (fighter) pack member and a 28-year-old female bookstore clerk character (with a family of witches in her background, but she is completely unaware and not a practicing witch), if it was still available? ^_^
Yes, yes it has. The site has most certainly dwindled from years prior due to an incredibly toxic group of individuals that were left completely unchecked and unstopped until most the players I RP'd with stopped entirely.

But recently? Eh, group roleplays from my knowledge have been pretty limited to certain circles and ongoing affair for a while now on this site. (For instance, well over half of the current front pages of casual and advanced have RP's at least several months old.)

I have to agree with this entirely. 100%.

I've been involved with a few RPs in a couple different circles, and have witnessed that typically the people who didn't start out in the original circle are pushed out eventually and it just remains the same people in multiple different RPs. Whether they personally just don't fit in with the group or whatever, their characters are practically ignored (no matter how much an individual can attempt to be included) till they finally say "screw it" and just drop because who wants to be in a group RP when you're just RPing with yourself the entire time? :T I've watched quite a number of my old friends go due to this same issue.

Personally, I've never been very good at being a GM. I don't handle spotlight well, and don't enjoy telling people what they can and can't do. xP I can't keep my own RP's alive to save my life, and when so many RPs are involved with the same tight-knit circles/cliques, it's kind of hard to want to stay "in the game" anymore. I'll admit, more often than not, I'm questioning whether or not I want to stay in it.. not that my presence would be missed, cause I've been quite a hit-and-miss in the last few years (since I had my daughter). RPing got me through a lot of trouble in my past. Anymore it seems as though the nostalgia of it is the only thing keeping me here.
@Squirrel98 This is a really beautiful idea for a roleplay. I'm sad to see more people aren't interested in it. If there comes a time when you might give thought to turning this into a 1x1, let me know. If we can get more people interested and it turns into a group, I'm here for it either way. Best of luck! I will keep in touch and check-in every now and again :)

Collab between @HaleytheRandom and I
feat. Ariel and Sawyer.

The cup of water in her hand Ariel began to take small sips, the cool liquid gliding down her dry throat. It took a second for things to process for Ariel in her drunken state, but that didn’t stop her from following Sawyer's gaze. As her eyes landed on Kavi walking out the door, the young woman felt her eyes tear up as her face began to feel warm. Wiping a few quick tears away, she sighed.

”You mentioned food, right? I think you did. Pretty sure you did.” Taking another sip of her water, Ariel waved her hand in the air like she was swatting a fly away. ”This dance blooows. Waddya say you and me head over to Waffle House? Waffle house sounds reaaallllyyy good right now.”

Sawyer had looked just in time to see her wipe her tears away, his lips pressing into a thin line as he looked on in the direction Kavi had gone. Suppose they were broken up after all. Oh, yay. Someone who was in the same boat as he was. The joy. Maybe they could go eat their sorrows away while they sobered up at Waffle House. Sawyer chuckled at her mentioning the dance, nodding, β€œFuck yeah, sounds bomb. Let me just.. real quick--” Sawyer quickly took out his phone and texted his two friends in their group chat that he was going to be leaving the dance and that they’d have to find a way home tonight. He knew they wouldn’t mind.

Sawyer, keeping his arm under hers to keep her steady, started for the doors leading out to the parking lot. ”Should I call an Uber for us, or would you be comfortable enough if I drove? I wouldn’t suggest it if I didn’t feel sober enough to drive. If I was alone, I wouldn’t care, but… yeah, I wouldn’t offer to drive if I was over my limit.” He held onto her firmly as he reached out with a foot to push the door open, taking in a deep breath as they stepped out into the fresh night air.

Walking across the dance room floor, Ariel finally got tired of nearly tripping over her feet. Bending down and removing her shoes once they were through the door, it was a miracle that she didn’t fall on her face. Heels in one hand, and latching onto Sawyer with the other, Ariel breathed in the fresh air. It was nice to smell something other than teenage body odor.

”Your car’s fine. I came with Kavan, but I’m preeeeetty sure he and Archer will need his car, you know what I mean?”

Sawyer nodded and chuckled, Yeah, I know what you mean.”

The boy walked around to the passenger side, a sheepish grin spreading across his face as he creaked the old truck door open. β€œSorry β€˜bout the smell. My buddies and I pre-gamed the dance a little bit before we got here.” He quickly cranked the window down halfway, looking down at her, up into the cab and back at her again.

β€œUhm, just be careful getting up. Be sure and use the step bar, here.” He was sure to point it out to her, placing a gentle hand on her back and standing close to make sure she wouldn’t fall while attempting to get in.

Now that Ariel thought about it, she hadn’t ever really seen Sawyers truck. The green was a somewhat decent color. The overall appearance reminded her of those trucks that you saw rednecks drive - yee yee, but in a classy way. It took a good second, but Ariel managed to get inside the truck without falling back on Sawyer.

”The smell’s fine,” she said, waving her hand dismissively. Once Sawyer was in the driver's seat and both of them had been buckled in, Ariel turned to him with a confused expression. ”Say! If you didn’t wanna come to the dance…. Why did you.”

Sawyer chuckled humorlessly as he ran a hand through his hair, trying to avoid eye contact as he peered through the back window to back up before taking off down the road. ”In short, my brother forced me. Jack and Kol kind of did, too. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t hear the end of it for the rest of the year. The boy’s were trying to help me ’get back out there’. Really didn’t want to, but… can’t say no to them even if I tried.”

He let the silence between them hang for a moment before giving her a quick glance, his eyes quickly returning to the road as he continued. ”How’d you end up coming to the dance with Kavan? You two good friends? I mean, clearly the guy is taken and not by a girl,” Sawyer laughed with a playful grin. Suddenly he realized he had no clue where they were going. He’d never been to Waffle House before. At a red light, he quickly mapped it out on his phone and set off to their destination. To his surprise, they weren’t far at all.

”Friends? Yeah. We are. Not as close as me and Mari or Archer but Kav’s a great guy. We have a few things in common. I know we aren’t close, but I’m kinda trying to change that a little. I’d still be there for him if he needed anything regardless.”

Propping her head up against the door, Ariel let the soft breeze blow on her face, taking deep breaths. ”I’m tired of dances, Sawyer. Tired of being told what I can and can’t wear to them. I keep trying to go to make like…. Good memories, but…. Not a single Kings dance has been good for me. Shit’s exhausting, man.”

The boy nodded his head knowingly, sighing heavily before responding. β€œI totally get what you mean. Honestly, I haven’t gone to a single dance till now. Only one I was actually somewhat looking forward to was Prom. Not one for dances, really. To be honest, I love dancing, and could totally school anyone at the dance, but… it just… I had plans for Prom that are no longer a thing, anymore, so. Yeah. I only went to this one so I wouldn’t have to hear shit from my brother and friends, but I can’t see myself going to any more school functions for the rest of the year, either.”

Sawyer pulled the truck into the parking lot and looked inside the establishment as he parked near the front, unclipping his seat belt before reclining back into his truck’s bench seat to look at Ariel. β€œLuckily, we only have to deal with this shit for a few more months. Then we’re free to make our own choices.. Er, most of them, anyway. That is, unless you go to college. Then you got another four plus years to get told what to do,” he laughed before continuing.

”I don’t know where I’m gonna be, or what I’m gonna do, honestly. I know I want a Waffle though,” she said, perking up slightly. ”Let’s go.”
Danielle’s eyebrows raised as a bright smile spread across her face, along with a bit of color flooding her cheeks. β€˜This is it, this is how we die. Death by embarrassment,” she thought to herself sarcastically. She accepted his hand, taking it tenderly as she closed a majority of the distance between them.

β€œOr some other cheesy shit,” she mocked and winked at him playfully, glancing around to see if she could spot either of her cousins. At the moment, she couldn’t spot either of them, to which she was thankful. She knew that they knew her well enough to know she did not belong on the dance floor and would probably laugh their asses off seeing her out there. Well, Max definitely would.

Dani hoped that they’d get lucky and avoid having pictures taken by the yearbook kids, though. God help her if she made it into the final cut for the yearbook and her mom saw the pictures. Danielle would never be able to live it down. But she wasn’t about to back down if he wasn’t, either...

Cause momma didn’t raise no bitch. c(;
Sawyer awkwardly smiled at Ariel as she slurred her words while putting her hands all over him, still keeping a hand under her arm to steady her. The boy quickly shook his head when she mentioned his ruined shirt and buying him a new one, laughing a bit. β€œDon’t even worry about it, really. My brother bought it for me. I hadn’t originally planned to come tonight, but uhm..” Sawyer’s words trailed off as he looked Ariel over, raising his eyebrow at her suggestion of more punch.

β€œHah, uhm, Ariel.. I think it’d be best if you stayed away from the punch for the rest of the night. No offense, sweetheart. But, really, I think water is the way to go, here. Or I could take you to get some coffee, if you’d like. Maybe some food with it? Help ya sober up, some?” Without waiting for an answer, Sawyer started to slowly make their way over to the drink area while steering clear of the punch, going for a cup of water for her instead. Something to start the process.

β€œHere you go. S’just water, for now.” Sawyer glances around the dance floor, then out amongst the crowd of his fellow classmates till he noticed Kavi some distance away. It was the moment he saw Kavi that Sawyer remembered they were together. Were, as in currently or past tense, Sawyer honestly didn’t know. He didn’t pay much attention to the couples at school or the drama surrounding them. Wasn’t his cup of tea, really. All he knew was he became a little anxious about his and Ariel’s exchange. He turned his back towards the direction Kavi was in and focused on Ariel, not exactly wanting to be here for fear of getting in the middle of some drama but he also couldn’t just leave her like this. His momma didn’t raise him like that.

Danielle watched Jasper's expression throughout the exchange, smirking a little bit. He seemed like he was in pain accepting the offer to dance, which only made this more amusing but as he led them out onto the dance floor she figured she could save both of them the embarrassment if she spoke up. She wouldn't force him through that, they just met afterall.

"You sure? You know, we don't have to." She laughed lightly, peaking around at him in front of her. "I just figured since everyone else was, and we were gonna just be left here alone together..." she drifted off and just kind of shrugged her shoulders without finishing, offering, "If I'm being completely honest, I'm not much of a dancer, anyways. So if you don't wanna do this, it's not gonna make me think bad of you, or anything." She offered him a friendly smile, looking around them to see if she could spot any other familiar faces in the crowd.

Danielle just found herself watching Ryland and Julie's interactions from afar, smiling a little bit. 'That shit's cute as hell,' she thought to herself.

"They're just idiots. They can easily be ignored," Sawyer chuckled, his attention quickly getting ripped away from Chanel to stare at Ryland as he spoke up. The boy raised an eyebrow and watched as the scene before him unfolded, side-glancing Chanel when he noticed the girl with the spotlight on her was looking her way for some kind of queue or help. He felt kind of bad for her. The girl Ryland was wooing, not Chanel. She seemed to be offering about as much help as he imagined could be given in the situation.

After having been dumped recently, Sawyer wasn't exactly much for the romantic-type of stuff.. his weak clap was drown out by the thunderous applause and hollering throughout the club. The boy sighed heavily and took a big gulp of his punch, he turned his eyes back to Chanel as she spoke up. 'Cute? Ugh.' Sawyer faked a smile and simply nodded, feeling that his tone of voice would betray him. "Hope someone got a picture of that. No doubt that that's yearbook-worthy." The boy downed the last of his punch and took a deep breath as he turned to say something more but noticed Chanel had gone.

Sawyer pressed his lips into a firm, thin line as he made a barely audible 'hmph' before stepping over to the punches to refill and head back over to his boys who were eagerly awaiting his return, stuffing their faces with their own food. They looked like animals. These two idiots were never gonna get girls. He chuckled to himself at the sight of his buddies before looking out at the dance floor at all the couples dancing, his smile quickly fading. Whether they were together or not didn't really matter. Just the sight of them hurt. As much as he acted like he was cold-blooded and couldn't care less, Sawyer was an emotional little shit. ()

He wouldn't think of her, or speak her name. It'd give too much power to the pain he was already feeling. Instead, he'd numb it with some more feel-good. The boy continued to chug his punch as he gave the boys a look as he reached into his pocket for his keys, heading towards the doors to go out to his truck for a second smoke sesh.... but everything happened so fast, Sawyer was on the ground with punch spilled all down his front. The boy nearly shouted a curse, luckily catching himself when he realized it was a girl who'd run into him. It was...Ariel? Yeah. Ariel. That was her name.

Sawyer cleared his throat and forced himself to his feet, offering an arm for her to grab as he also hesitantly placed a firm hand under her other arm to help her up to her feet. "Oh, no. D-don't even worry about it, it's fine. Are.. you alright?"
