@Melonhead might get it, if he thinks about it. xD

It would be highly questionable to have it interrupt so quickly that I say he can't even get his shot off before he's consumed by fire, especially if he aimed at me first. I see why Gun would like to avoid such situations entirely if it's hard to gauge exactly what is possible, but to help avoid such problems we'd need more detail in the exact speed of characters actions and/or a good judge who knows the characters well.

Every system has problems but I still stand by interrupts and trying our best to judge the most logically, even if we make mistakes sometimes on what they can do.

The problem you're describing is less a problem with interrupts, and more a problem of auto-hitting. You don't have to make your character consume him in flames, you just gotta shoot at the bastard before he shoots at you.

The problem with interrupts, as I think you've mentioned before, is how fast people move. A lot of people make speedsters, and so believe, and I've seen this, that if any time has passed between actions - then their character is well within their rights to basically have an entire adventure within that time frame, no matter what it is. On the other side, people try to chain together actions in such a little space that they've literally had a tea party, napped for 20 years, and lived four full lives of action, within the space of a second.
An illogical interrupt would be like Evvie seeing someone aim a gun to shoot her so she shoots fire that hits him before he can fire his gun, and there's no indication that she's that much faster than him. Most illogical interrupts have to do if the character does not have the reaction speed or time to carry it out. The only other illogical examples I could see is if they do something they couldn't anyways even with the required time, but that's just a straight out illogical attack.

Well, that also wouldn't be so illogical. While it would be difficult to judge, there is no indication that he is not that much faster than you. Even just shooting fire at him can be an interrupt.
@yoshua171Well, retroactive means retroactive in the sense that its used lol. By that, I mean while actions may be occurring simultaneously, by interrupting and stopping an action from ever having occurred when it was stated previously as currently happening, then you have, quite literally, time travelled, or at least manipulates it grossly. Actions have been entirely removed from the timeline, and is therefore 'retroactive'.

Hope this helps.

Most people don't use interrupts to prevent past actions, therefore future actions; they are mainly used to stop future actions by stopping them in between. The only person I've actually even seen try to stop them after they've happened was Khandy, who even had an ability specifically for that.

Most, however, use it in a manner of thus:

Person A runs towards person B, utilizing two diagonal slashes, and then a backwards spin slash, thing.

Person B can interrupt at several points here, actually, depending on the time scale of Person A's ability

1) Person B moves as Person A does, meeting them just before they execute their two slashes, and aiming a cut of his own towards their sternum. This cancels both slashes, and the last slash... thing.

2) Person B deftly dodges the first slash, and cuts towards Person A, as they are raising their blade to continue with the second slash. This cancels out the final two attacks.

3) Person B, after guarding against the two diagonal slashes, bumrushs Person A as they spin for their backwards slash, aiming to slam a shoulder into their back. This ends their last attempt.

Neither one goes back in time, they all just do the logical thing. If you would, could you provide an instance of an illogical interrupt? From what I'm reading, your issue is less with interrupts, than people who are time weavers. xD
That's fine, take your time

That's heaven right there.

Heaven is:

Chili Cheese fries covered in taco seasoned meat.

Trust me

Heaven.
I think tonight I'll write up some paragraph information on each of the novas, if anyone is interested. Since no one chose to pick one up, I'll try to do one for each.
Hotdog covered in chili, ketchup, shredded cheese, and maple cured bacon baked beans
Hmmm, I should tell your girl about that sexism . . . LOL Ya I picture the Captain(ess) as a heel, don't see her as a face unless you are going to work in a heel turn based on some inciting incident.

@Rilla Speaking of which one of these days we're gonna have a knockdown, drag out, no disqualification match.

Tell her, you should hear the shit we say to each other. xD.

And yeah, she's going heel eventually, even from the beginning she won't be nice. Which should be fun for LeeRoy's character, as his first interaction with the Novas will probably be representative of them in his mind. xD.

And yes we will. BOOOOM
I like it, although you are a bit sexist with the captainess, it would be captain. Trying to knock down sexism yo.

Straight sexiesm up in here, yo. All about the differences and shit, and such, and whatnot.

xD. That and I like saying Captainess, I think I may transition her into the first true heel of the Novas, and have her go after the special weapons, and other things.

Also, Vanguard comes from an anime about cardfighting. xD
