Anyway, I don't want to hold you up from getting this going, but a few things have been popping up on my end and I had to do something of an all-nighter thanks to it. With this in mind, perhaps you two should start without me? Perhaps I could get involved eventually, but I don't want the fact that I'm not certain yet to hold you up if you're gearing to go.

Still working that out, honestly. It's interesting to have Cecil and Golbez though, since they arguably might've been my first pick for characters to role-play here, especially since Golbez is one of the characters from a fighting style perspective that I had always planned on picking up and using in the games, alongside The Emperor.

I could like, just take Kain or something instead, if those were your two strongest choices. To round out the trio.

Cecil and Golbez are actually examples of characters I would've brought along, if I got involved. They're not the only ones, but they ring true to me in a lot of ways. I usually prefer to play characters I relate to in some way, even when taking part in a fandom role-play. Firion and The Emperor also come to mind immediately, but there's characters from plenty of other games I could definitely work with too.

I hear that. Not really sure what it is about the older FF games, but they pack so much character into the important people, that you really connect with the characters in some ways. And as for the schedule, I dunno really.

I'm still here, just ghosting the thread. I'm pretty much set on what characters I want. I played a crap-ton of Final Fantasy 4 (which became Final Fantasy 2 here in America) when I was young, so I'm probably going to bring in Cecil and Golbez as well as the aforementioned Layle and Jegran.

Well, the only thing I can say that can help is to try and find a compilation of all the cut-scenes. Try searching for "Dissidia full movie" on youtube or something. Then just watch the ones for both the original and 012.

No really, I'm pretty relaxed on most things besides grammar. Mine isn't super great, but I try at the very least. If you guys wanna do this with the three of us, that's fine.

Again, it really depends on Shoryu's work-load. If he's got some big writing project he's on, it's cool in the end if he drops out, not like he's obligated or anything. This is just in the interest phase after all.

Nothing really convoluted. The Dissidia story formula is pretty solid as it is, honestly. I guess the main draw, is that characters that would never speak to each other interact.

It makes it interesting, because they can give each other different perspectives and make them think outside the realm of their own games logic. This is a roleplay after all, so I guess we'd be doing a good amount of that. We'd pretty much just follow the standard Dissidia setup, the characters wake up with most of their memories lost, and their base personalities from early in their games, before their character development kicks in.

They are told by Cosmos to find their crystal to stop Chaos, while Chaos's Warriors try and vanquish them. Each character has their own mini-arc, with the climax being a battle with their series respective antagonist. The ultimate goal, would obviously be the defeat of Chaos.

If we'd fail, the story would begin another cycle. As for my characters, I strongly want to play as Layle from Crystal Bearers, as well as Jegran, the games main villain. And of course, whatever else comes into my head, maybe an obscure character, I dunno.

Well, as long as I know you're still there, I suppose you can be as active as you wish. I don't have that much of an active presence on this site anymore, but I do have flashes of inspiration, here and there. To be honest, it doesn't really matter to me if you're Casual level, or whatever.

You have pretty good grammar, and I'm pretty lax for the most part as far as anything else goes. I don't have any real peeves. Sometimes I post a single paragraph, sometimes two, sometimes I only write what I think is nessecary.
