It would probably break the cantrip if she dismissed the pact weapon, but as long as she kept it present, the spell should hold. So with a bit of focus, some gestures, happy thoughts and other spell secrets that she was not probably allowed to mention, but she would if anybody asked, golden light began shining from the sword, bathing those present.” See, I can make light like this. I can probably maintain one more easily enough and I can always transfer this one to one of you too if 2 of you want to have the light sources instead.” She explained happily, now that they had a source of proper light in this place that was rapidly getting darker and more depressing. As she understood it, towns had way more people than simple villages and even villages sometimes had a lot of people. Also there were forest goblins lurking in the outskirts of the city. They killed some, but who knew if there were more out there. She could only hope people would be save tonight and that they manage to deal with whatever it was that’s going down before it could get worse. Before long they arrived before the glorious smithy of mr silversmith – Mallard. She blinked as Kathryn went on to do some serious beating on the door. “Shuttup...” Eleonora growled, feeling the annoying buzzing of a doorbell. It was early morning… probably. Yeah it most certainly was, judging from the unholy abomination called sunlight that was making it’s way through the curtains that she had in her stupidity forgotten to pull over to block the windows before going to bed last night. Well she had better things to worry about back then. Well maybe worry was a wrong word as the killer headache was making itself known with all it’s wild fury of a racing stampede of mustangs across the plains.
Growling at the incessant noise that was killing her everything right now, she pulled herself out of her rather comfortable bed, still dressed in her silken nightgown and downed the glass of water on the nightstand by the bed. It helped a touch…. Just a touch. Not even minding her state of general undress aside the nightgown that really didn’t hide all that much, she dragged herself over to the front door where the killing noise was coming from her doorbell.” WHAT!?” She half growled, half shouted as she pulled the door open in a violent manner, glaring murdering daggers. Sexy nightware not withstanding, her hair was a mess, her eyes were red and her eyeshadows were dark enough to make her appear rather scary. What turned out to be the source of her wrath, was a young man, probably no more than 13 years of age. The kid’s eyes bugged out at her appearance, stammered, flushed and reached out a messenger note to her which she grabbed and slammed the door shut afterwards, dragging herself to the bedroom once more, sitting on the bed and after finally working her head through the headache, reading the note.
“Huh… of course, it had to be today.” She cursed under her breath. Rubbing her eyes and standing up, nearly tripping this time, having stumbled over one of the empty bottles from last night. Drunken flashes coursed through her mind, mostly disjointed as she made her way to the bathroom and proceeded to do with her mourning routine of showering with somewhat cool water and other morning health necessities including cleaning her teeth and mouth very well. Had to maintain decent smile despite all the alcohol and smoking after all.
The message had arrived in early morning, dawn barely arriving, so 2 hours later she was ready with everything, cleaned up, dressed properly and makeup applied to resume her usual appearance for those outside her home. Chewing on some ground coffee, she walked out of her home and headed to the agency. The cool morning air would help her wake up faster she surmised, especially with the raw coffee.

What brought you to the detective agency, and why are you still there: Truth... and revenge. I will hunt down any trace of the supernatural, however most are bogus. This agency however is the most consistent place to search and find leads to get what I'm really after. Well I'm looking forward to it. Truth or fake, worst case scenario I will just treat is as a vacation. After all each case solved brings me closer to revenge or death... and both will grand me respite. Life before current day: She was born in France, but her family moved to the states pretty early on in her life. She barely recalls much of her mother's language honestly. She grew up speaking English and aside an occasional weird accent in some words that she picked up growing up around her mother who was speaking with French accent, she speaks it perfectly well.
Growing up as a high middle class child, all was pretty regular. She was a pretty child, got along with her friends. Went to school, met a pretty boy, eventually they became a couple. Married and had a child. They had gotten a place of their own and were living a relative dream life. They had enough and didn't feel the need for more. Well however fate had other plans.
One night something happened when they were returning home. It was stormy, there was a heavy downpour and lightning. It was well in the night and they were hurrying to get home. Something attacked them. She never quite saw what it was, just a vague shadow in the stormy night, but she suffered a lot of claw like wounds and her son and husband were dead with many similar wounds. In fact she only survived because a large group of people had left a nearby pub and likely spooked the attacker/s. She was told it was a pack of feral dogs more likely than not. She never believed it. She turned down to investigating it herself, but a lone woman speaking about horrors and mysteries and unnatural happenings was not something people wanted to hear about and as time passed, funds running low and her psyche ever more damaged form grief, self blame and alcohol, there were talks about her suffering from various clinical mental afflictions.
In that lowest point of her life where everything was looking like it was falling apart, when she was on the verge of even losing her home, she was drinking away... and then happened upon the mob... or the mob happened upon her. She was a smart woman, very much so, was a bit above average in appearance and was extremely persuasive and charming. Somehow she ended up working with the mob... and then got herself a 'boyfriend', well they had an understanding. In any case, she became a criminal, did a lot of questionable acts and things, but in the end she had to do what she had to do. The mob paid well enough in her case, so she restored and made her home better, preserving hte memories of her family.
In the end however her constant investigations and research into the supernatural led her into TIME. The agency was perfectly fine with hiring a person from the mob, presumably for the connections and as long as she didn't break the law and get caught while on official duty it was mostly fine more than likely. So that's how the mobster woman ended up working part time in a detective agency with the law... ain't that a kick in the head?

Even though it was hazy, even though it was impossible, the scars and the dead do not lie. Ideology/Belief: It's all true! It must be, ghosts, gods, monsters, space men and there exist even good politicians... Now give me my money, I've got bills to pay and job to do. Significant people: None still walking... No the 'boyfriend' doesn't count, we've got an arrangement. Meaningful location: Her home that serves double duty as her office, a place to stash her loot and lay low. Sexuality: Bisexual Relationship Status: Single/Widowed Personality: There are two sides of Eleonora that exist in constant struggles. Mostly caused by her past and mental state. The first is her more calm and collected one. She's actually pretty alright person, she can smile, joke and be friendly, however that's not mostly teh case anymore. Driven by the past and the traumatic events she underwent, losing her family and being on the step of death herself, she's unable to accept it all and simply move on. She's haunted by the experience, dreams of it, hates herself and everyone else for it. She drowns most of her worries in cheap alcohol. Constantly stressed and irriated from it all, she's prone to solving conflicts with violence.
When not actually overwhelmed by her unstable emotions and being a prickly ball of fuck you to everyone around, she's actually again quite alright. Especially when she's working, she's patient, careful and tends to appear a lot friendlier than when she's wasting her time drinking away. On the job she's rarely drinking hard enough to get drunk, mostly keeping herself focused with the grand goal in her life. Which is finding what and who killed her family and tearing them to pieaces. She's so driven that it overpowers her constant desire for self destruction in alcohol and smoking, when she believes she's on the tracks of what she needs. At the rare cases when she's not drunk, not depressed to the point of self loathing and not on the job, she actually preferres to spend her time listening to music and reading a good novel.
Once upon a time she considered herself a straight person when it came to sexuality, she was married and with a child after all. Everything else that happened had brought a different... well perspective's a wrong word for it. Sometimes all she wants to do is drown everythign that is her mind in alcohol and just spend the night in carnal pleasure in the vain attempts to catch a glimpse of what was before everything went to hell and when that happens she doesn't really care if it's a bloke or a gal. She doesn't mind it much, then again she hardly can mind it much from the alcohol influence anyways.

History
What brought you to the detective agency, and why are you still there: Truth... and revenge. I will hunt down any trace of the supernatural, however most are bogus. This agency however is the most consistent place to search and find leads to get what I'm really after. Well I'm looking forward to it. Truth or fake, worst case scenario I will just treat is as a vacation. After all each case solved brings me closer to revenge or death... and both will grand me respite. Life before current day: She was born in France, but her family moved to the states pretty early on in her life. She barely recalls much of her mother's language honestly. She grew up speaking english and aside an occasional weird accent in some words that she picked up growing up around her mother who was speaking with French accent, she speaks it perfectly well.
Growing up as a high middle class child, all was pretty regular. She was a pretty child, got along with her friends. Went to school, met a pretty boy, eventually they became a couple. Married and had a child. They had gotten a place of their own and were living a relative dream life. They had enough and didn't feel the need for more. Well however fate had other plans.
One night something happened when they were returning home. It was stormy, there was a heavy downpour and lightning. It was well in the night and they were hurrying to get home. Something attacked them. She never quite saw what it was, just a vague shadow in the stormy night, but she suffered a lot of claw like wounds and her son and husband were dead with many similar wounds. In fact she only survived because a large group of people had left a nearby pub and likely spooked the attacker/s. She was told it was a pack of feral dogs more likely than not. She never believed it. She turned down to investigating it herself, but a lone woman speaking about horrors and mysteries and unnatural happenings was not something people wanted to hear about and as time passed, funds running low and her psyche ever more damaged form grief, self blame and alcohol, there were talks about her suffering from various clinical mental afflictions.
In that lowest point of her life where everything was looking like it was falling apart, when she was on the verge of even losing her home, she was drinking away... and then happened upon the mob... or the mob happened upon her. She was a smart woman, very much so, was a bit above average in appearance and was extremely persuasive and charming. Somehow she ended up working with the mob... and then got herself a 'boyfriend', well they had an understanding. In any case, she became a criminal, did a lot of questionable acts and things, but in the end she had to do what she had to do. The mob paid well enough in her case, so she restored and made her home better, preserving hte memories of her family.
In the end however her constant investigations and research into the supernatural led her into TIME. The agency was perfectly fine with hiring a person from the mob, presumably for the connections and as long as she didn't break the law and get caught while on official duty it was mostly fine more than likely. So that's how the mobster woman ended up working part time in a detective agency with the law... ain't that a kick in the head?
Your belief in/encounters with the supernatural: It's all real... they don't believe me, call me crazy, but I know what I saw. Even though it was hazy, even though it was impossible, the scars and the dead do not lie. Ideology/Belief: It's all true! It must be, ghosts, gods, monsters, space men and there exist even good politicians... Now give me my money, I've got bills to pay and job to do. Significant people: None still walking... No the 'boyfriend' doesn't count, we've got an arrangement. Meaningful location: Her home that serves double duty as her office, a place to stash her loot and lay low. Many important memories are held there for her. Good, bad, ugly, but all important. Treasured possessions: A small photo of her family.
“Hmm? Alright.” Kosara stated and nodded energetically her white haired head as she was finishing putting on her outer clothing and then her bags on, resuming her earlier state of somewhat energetic traveler. Adventuring was dangerous business and she was glad she had people to adventure with. Now if said people wanted to adventure in this case was a question not asked for they weren’t given much of a choice. There was evil, there were ratmen and they were now involved in this madness even if they didn’t want to. Chances are escape wasn’t possible, fighting out in the darkness in the wild would probably be harder, but likely way much more heroic.
Without much fanfare, but not without eagerness and energy, she hopped after her bardly friend out of the barn right after Berry and Kathryn.” Makes sense… mr silversmith and our friends means that ratmen would likely come after us anyways. So… maybe our holing up would serve as a bait for them to focus on us rather than causing too much chaos?” Kosara suggested at the warrior’s words as they made their way outside of the nice and cozy warm inn. Back into the humid, dark and chilly outside. She shuddered visibly just walking out despite her warm coat. She had gotten rather comfortable by the fireplace after all.
“But… I can fire golden lights? And fire? Holy fire?” She had blinked at Berry.” I mean, grandpa asked if I wanted to also learn to fire lightning from my fingertips, but I declined at the time. I instead learned to summon an unseen servant to help me with the chores back home at the oasis and around grandpa’s cave, allowing me to spend more time on truly productive tasks!” She explained, her reason behind learned said spell over the alternative destructive one. Kosara was many things, but she didn’t really consciously mean anybody harm. Except evil of course. That and well… the logic behind her priorities was something that likely only she understood at times and at others, it was a logic so simple and to the point that it was notable in it’s own way.
“Hey night’s fast approaching, want me to create some light? I can make 3 sources of light, though one will drop if a fight happens for I must then cast other spells.” She asked as she was hopping behind her friends and fellow adventurers, jumping from one leg to the other in the movement forward, though she did try to avoid puddles.
