I just remembered that I once read a creepypasta about slenderman killing Hitler and it was actually pretty good. Grammar-wise and stuff I mean, but it was about still slenderman killing hitler :|

Gathering Storm

"That went rather better than expected." The Greater Clara said.

"Did... did it now?" The lesser clara said, sinking to her knees... or what she had as knees anyway after the tension had dissipated.

Even to her, that had felt like a dangerous gamble. What if Diana had asked for her to die? Or to bring Cel back from the dead? No matter what, she thought that the price to acquire Diana would've been high, but 'anything'? Suddenly a chill ran up her spine as a new thought crossed her mind.

"Wait... you didn't... you couldn't have calculated that outcome, could you?" She asked.

"Of course not. But... didn't that approach remind you of a certain someone?" Clara replied.

"Mephisto...?" The lesser clara whispered.

That's right, this was the favored tactic of Mephisto, their 'father'. To those working under him, he would offer not just anything in his power to give, but everything in the world there was to take. They had witnessed it many times, but the request he grants... and the extent to which he grants it, they had never seen.

"It was a trial of sorts..." Clara said. "The method... I suppose. And the character of Diana, but that was of a secondary concern."

"We need her. We need everyone." She sighed. She set her sights on the building of St. Lucifer's. Their long-time base of operations. She had said to the young man, Ward, that she hadn't cared about their location at all really. Was this a change? "We need everything we can get our hands on to weather the coming storm."
@AtomicNut

The ride over was silent and uneventful. The car only had seats for two, so Clara situated herself in the middle between Diana and the skeletal driver. It wasn't as if she really needed to sit in a seat after all, no need for a seatbelt either. Although, now that she thought about it she'd only ever worn one once before, when she was going to the orphanage.

Looking over at Diana, she... didn't exactly fit inside sleek shiny interior of the sports car. Her feet really only just touched the ground and the headrest was clear above her head.

If the circumstances were better, and she was just looking at her face and clothes, and using her imagination a little, honestly she looked cute. Adorable even, sitting there in the brightly coloured sports car. She was so... compact? But, well, she felt like if she ever really told Diana that she might really die. And... she was going through some things so it would be fairly rude.

Soon enough they'd reach Mephisto's however, and their time alone together would be over. She didn't know whether to make the most of it, or even how to. So, she didn't do anything.

Later they arrived at Mephisto's, or St. Lucifer's as it were. The sun was beginning to hang low in the sky. The Greater Clara should've known that she was back, so…

"Ah, you've returned." The Greater Clara said, appearing on cue, right in front of them. "Greetings Diana, it has been long indeed."

The Lesser Clara returned to the Greater Clara's side. She wondered how Diana felt, looking at the two who were eerily similar yet clearly different. She wondered if she really thought anything about them at all. Whatever plan the Greater Clara had prepared, she certainly hoped it was a good one.

"Ah, do you plan on staying the night? We have some… empty rooms available if you do." The Greater Clara said with a smile.

…Uhhhh, was this the plan? It… seemed like it had more layers Mini Clara hadn't comprehended?

"If you'd like a meal, I could certainly have one made. Our home economics program is quite well stocked usually." Clara continued. "Or… would you prefer I not beat around the bush?"

She drew a sheet from the sheaf of papers she was holding.

"These are your terms for staying here with us." She said.

Mini Clara's heart skipped a beat. Was she reverting again? But they had just…

"Shhhh," The Greater Clara said, looking to her with a soft smile and putting a finger on her lips. "Don't worry, it's blank."

"There are no terms, except for any you decide to set yourself. Whatever you write on that piece of paper, I will do my best to uphold to the best of my ability." She said.

"We've done more wrong than we have need of you, I'm sure. This is a way for us to start again."
@AtomicNut
"I'll get straight to the point then," The smaller Clara said carefully.

It was clear Diana was in some sort of pain, but the Greater Clara's information network had failed to capture what exactly the source of it was. Their records as they got closer to the present day were sparse as their various familiars started to realize something was wrong. The Greater Clara was likely working on it as they spoke, but mini Clara was missing a great deal of context here, and there was no way for her to really know.

Celestine Lightbringer was dead and by one of their own. There was nothing Clara could really do about that. So, even if it felt bad in the moment she had to be honest with what they wanted from her. One way or another, Diana certainly wasn't a bad person. Not like they were. She could make it through this, with or without them. So...

"We need you, Diana." She said. "Mephisto's is fractured. Clara's been missing for a while as I'm sure you've noticed, and well, the reason is me."

"It's a... long story, and I'm sure you don't really want to know. All you need to know is, this isn't a request from Clara, it's a request from me. She needs your help." She finished.
...Mori.

"This is definitely it..." Mini-Clara said.

She knew the address of the house but going through streets she'd never visited herself was always going to be something else alright. It did help that she was more or less a ghost, so even if something distracted her, she couldn't touch it so he wouldn't stay distracted for long!!! And why was she calling herself Mini-Clara now, do you ask? Well for one thing, she was shorter!! A lot shorter!! A whole foot in fact! Or more!!!! But if she was floating then it didn't seem as large.

Why all the exclamation marks you say? Well she thought the ball of manic energy character fit her a lot better as Mini-Clara after all. She and Clara weren't really the same person, after all. Their lives split in the formative stages of childhood development, and of course her experience of life had been vastly different to the greater Clara's.

Yes, she'd absorbed all her memories and experiences but that's exactly why she had to be different. She could become Clara if she wanted to. She could change her form and overwrite her personality. But Clara Deimos Erdrigan would never allow herself to become a mere shade. And in that manner, they were one and the same.

But now she had a job to do. It was something only Clara could do. The real one. But, there was a gap that had to be crossed for the both of them Clara and Diana. So, as long as she could play Mini-Clara then she could help bridge that gap. The Greater Clara wasn't quite ready despite all her experiences. All the years that she had, she'd never had to apologize. So…

"I guess I have to find her room first, which one is it?" She said.

It would be best to deal with Diana directly, since, her Mother also seemed to be a witch and she wasn't sure how she would deal with that if it came down to it… Would she be able to curse her from her place in the Dream World? She didn't really know, and she didn't exactly have to risk it.

"Because walls don't mean a thing to me!" She said as she finally entered in, through the roof.

"Hello Diana! I know you don't… know… me…" Her words died on her lips as she surveyed the state of the room.

It reminded her of that time. Yes, that time, but 17 years of memories had blown it away and now she remembered again. It wasn't as bad, and likely had other reasons to it. But still, it wasn't good.

She floated down to about eye-level, or a little lower to Diana and spoke again, as gently as she could manage.

"…Did I… come at a bad time?"

@JrVader @TheMushroomLord glad to see you two, and [ZAVAZggg] as well. Thanks for still being here, but I think numbers are gonna be a bit of a problem now :(

I think I will have a way to fill it out though. There are a couple people I could ask but I'll wait a bit on whether to call them up or not.
@JrVader @Rin @KoL @June Billson @Dead Cruiser @TheMushroomLord @Haydrian Cindel @ZAVAZggg

Here's the OOC thread! I'm open to suggestions on if the system wouldn't work, especially because I haven't tried it out yet. If you all have any experience with it then feel free to provide some feedback.

Otherwise, I can't wait to see your characters!

You've been summoned to another world!

You always knew you were the main character of a story not yet written, and you finally have the chance to prove it.

With your new incredibly overpowered abilities, you set off on your adventure.

But what's this?

There're four other people here, and they're all equally as overpowered and main character-like as you!

Do you have what it takes to prove you're the real main character?!
Oh, and maybe you'll help.... save... the... world... too?

Elthron

The world our heroes will be embarking on is the world of Elthron. Elthron is a world like many others, with a pantheon of Gods, humans, elves, beastmen, furry beastmen, less furry beastmen, basically just humans with desirable animal traits beastmen, no slavery or anything because it's not really necessary and I just wanna get that out of the way real quick. What they do have though is a lot of problems on their hands.

Demons and stuff are rising up. There's not just one demon lord, there's FOUR! And that's on top of that there's also four ancient dragons! Four stones of power! Which have been stolen. The Sacred Relics are okay though. Maybe they're about to see some use. Or some more use.

The Gods looking down on Elthron have only had a limited ability to intervene, but they've been trying to send heroes imbued with powers for a while now and it's all just been proven to be too much. But now, something's changed. Someone spilled some milk on the summoning formula and now the Gods realize they can sacrifice a greater portion of their power.

Now they can summon a real hero to help solve their problems and get back on track as far as their plan to sit back and have things go good without having to do anything. But is it really going to go as they planned? Well no, but actually yes. Five heroes have been summoned with the full power of the one they were hoping for.

Can they work together and save the world? We're going to find out!

Details

As was stated in the premise, unfortunately I can only take around five of you for this RP. I recognized from the outset that this premise doesn't support a large amount of players. It would greatly from focused group dynamics, and will likely require a lower amount of players to be fun. The goal of this RP is to have fun in the end, so while it will be a structured experience, it has that structure to make sure things operate smoothly and in an enjoyable manner, as you'll see below.

Main character archetype - the primary character creation element of this RP. You'll choose a popular, or at least recognizable, or basically just any type of established isekai main character to play as for this RP. The type of isekai or anime protagonist your character is may inform their powers, and will also affect their group dynamics and how they choose to present themselves as a Main Character. The trope-ier, the better. Some examples are listed below;

  • Lone Wolf(Emo) - I don't trust anybody, except for when I do. I don't play well with others, except for when it turns out I'm exactly the right person and class for the job because that's how the story usually goes, you know, like, you'd want a balanced team. Except for when people get summoned by 'accident' and get betrayed and called trash in the first 20 minutes of getting summoned. Like… ??? Anyway, no one understands me. oVo
  • Bright Protag(Friendship) - I am a soft buoy, I only want good things for me and my friends, and my childhood friend. I only have one childhood friend because you can only have one childhood friend in total. I have the power to protect them from just about anything except for when there's someone stronger than me. Except I'm actually stronger than them because I just have to use my powers in a different way. No I will not be taking questions. No tears in this playthrough pls. :)))))))

Sub character archetype - auxiliary character traits which can serve to complement your main archetype, or spice things up a bit in general. They're similar to main character archetypes in the sense that they define your character, but they also offer tangible RP benefits depending on the archetype you choose. I'll provide some examples below, but you can come up with your own. Choose one only.

  • Tsukkomi - The dynamic art of playing the straight man in ridiculous situations. You get to take a verbal action immediately after a terrible joke from an ally, regardless of your initiative. You also get to automatically land a slap, noogie, or any other comedic physical action as a Tsukkomi after building up enough Tsukkomi meter after consecutive Tsukkomi(tsukkomis?) on the same ally.
  • Tsundere - The dere is inevitable. A Tsundere often puts up a cold exterior which eventually gives way to a warm interior. Acting cold towards others builds up a 'Tsun' gauge. Depending on how much Tsun gauge is built up, acting 'dere' will expend the Tsun gauge and disrupt any other ally's main character potential for a short time, unless it happens to be a romantic situation in which nothing happens.
  • Kuudere - This character is as cool as a cucumber, all year round. Acting cool gives a passive bonus to initiative except for when it doesn't. Because it's cool to be the first one to act, but it's also cool to be just late enough to save the day. Similar to Tsundere, acting cool builds up a Kuu gauge, and acting dere expends it to disrupt an ally's main character power.

Power Restrictions - there's not gonna be that many because I want you to be overpowered. Still though, I'm gonna say no omnipotence, omniscience, or that kinda stuff. It'd just kind of be a pain in the ass to deal with. I would say no full altering of reality but I could be convinced for a little bit of reality altering? I mean kind of the nature of a lot of the popular ones in isekai stories are reality altering, so…

You should all probably be overpowered but with a limit is basically what I'm saying.

Equipment - If you wanna have like a sacred sword, or like demon sword and whatnot then I'll probably say you can have it. Just be warned though, there'd be a lot of leeway to play around with items and that kind of stuff in the actual RP. If you want to do something Gilgamesh style then sure, that'd be fine. As long as it's to do with your powers, then I'll probably be fine with it.

More details about stats and whatnot and the impact they'll have in this RP are listed below, but they warrant their own little section so here we go.

Posting

Posting is going to have a slightly different structure here which I'm still sort of smoothing out in my head. I'll have to see how it goes after trying it out, but basically it's going to go something like this;

The adventure begins with a little bit of free-posting. A little bit of time needs to pass and all characters need to arrive in the other world. I'll try to keep it short for the sake of our pacing, and I'll keep it short by cutting us off with an encounter!

We start an encounter by rolling Initiative! I'll likely roll a d20 or you'll roll the d20, to determine which character gets to act first when a sudden situation arises. Some characters may have initiative bonuses on their sheet, this is where it comes in handy. Acting first means you have a higher chance of scoring more Screen Time, but that's not always the case!

Each post may only take up a certain amount of chronological time depending on your Main Character Type. Screen Time is very important, since having more Screen Time directly correlates to more Main Character Power! But it's important to note Screen Time does not always correlate to chronological time.

Chronologically, a character may have the time to put in one good strike as the initial blow after winning initiative, maybe around 30 seconds to about a minute. But in Screen Time, that could take dozens of seconds, or even several minutes!

The goal of an encounter is to amass as much Impact and as much Screen Time as possible! Impact applies to any action which has a real effect on the real world. You can have as much screen time as you'd like, but if you're not making a real impact with it then you're not really getting anything out if it!

A character could have a variety of bonuses of maluses to their Screen Time, Impact, and Initiative, or even all of the above! For example, an edgy character would get a bonus to Screen Time because of their increased likelihood to launch into brooding monologues which just can't be stopped! But all that time monologuing leaves less time to leave an Impact! That's why it's important to have a well balanced character, or have a specific game plan to achieve victory!

Impact can mean emotional stingers as well as other physical outcomes, such as slaying dragons or just moving the conversation along. The goal is to gain as much Main Character Power as possible. The winner gets to have the Main Character title for a short while!

Does that title really do anything? Probably not? But you can rub it in other characters' faces if you'd like.

Character Sheet

Sorry for being a little bit AWOL everybody, been a busy weekend. About to be busy again this week but I think I'm pretty much done with the writing for OOC. I'm preeeeetty sure I am anyway. First thing's first though.

@ZAVAZggg, sorry but my brain machine is kinda broke right now. I don't think I can be any help as far as looking over your sheet goes. :(

@JrVader @Rin @KoL @June Billson @Dead Cruiser @TheMushroomLord @Haydrian Cindel If y'all are still with me, there's kind of a big system update which I only just finished writing out. It's basically how posting's supposed to work and it might have a big impact on how you end up thinking about your characters.

I won't be putting it in full here because I'm about to make the OOC thread in a couple minutes with it in there, but just keep it in mind! But basically there's a couple more stats to consider besides Initiative now. Your character's posts in combat will end up getting judged on Screen Time and Impact, basically how much of your character we end up seeing, and how much they affect other characters or the situation at hand.

More explanation will be in the ooc thread, but you can also just always ask me.
@Idea it's probably just gonna be whichever characters seem like would be the most fun together. I think the way it would end up going would be I'd ask for you guys' preferences for which characters you'd like to play with, and load 'em up into a spread sheet and judge the pairings for myself.

@ZAVAZggg Sad to hear that :( maybe stick around a bit, see if somebody else's character doesn't inspire you? But yeah, good luck on whatever else you'll be doing from here on out.

@June Billson @Dead Cruiser Also, welcome my lads, hope you have a good time :D

Everybody else, OOC still has not been started but I more or less know what I'm going to add at this point and the setting details. You'll probably have to give me 2-3 days, although maybe I could swing one by tonight or tomorrow night since it seems like my workload got a little bit lighter.
Right, if this doesn't get any more takers by tomorrow, I'll just go ahead and start working on the ooc thread. 6 is probably a good enough number, I thiiiiink I'll be able to manage. It'll take me a little bit to start working on it since there's a few things I need to stabilize with my activities right now. Once I do though, it shouldn't take too long.

Let me know, would you all like to make a discord server or keep it strictly on the site? I can do either, just a little bit more work and a little bit more to keep up with on my end.
