Parum finished her melody but no one stayed to watch. Everyone was too busy getting back to their old lives. She wasn't sure what she was hoping to accomplish but Parum was fairly certain she didn't achieve it. Sighing deeply the halfling put her instrument away and walked back towards the keep to look for the others. At this point she felt that she'd be more useful if she stayed with them than if she just kept wandering around on her own. While she thinks that they're all still very crazy for wanting to go against a dragon cult, at least they were on the right path, as oppose to Parum's own aimless and uncertain road. Perhaps this is what destiny intended for her. Or maybe she's just been swept up in the moment of things.

It wasn't hard for Parum to find the others, as she figured that they would be near Brannor's room. Sure enough when Parum went to his room they they were, all three just standing outside of his door talking. She arrived just in time to hear Orchid ask his question so he must have arrived recently as well. "Hello." Parum greeted everyone present as she approached. From the looks of things Torus and Kyra were discussing something important, possibly with Brannor, before Orchid and Parum had arrived. No doubt it has something to do with the dragon cult that just left, and she was certain that Kyra wanted to go after them. Orchid of course would do so no problem. Brannor would, perhaps after he's healed. Parum wasn't sure what Torus might have thought but so far his actions seem dedicated to defeating these cultist. Only Parum had some shadow of a doubt, but she'd suppress it for now. Maybe later once things have really settled down, Parum can try to straight out these feelings she had about all of this.

"Did I miss something?"

Here's Parum's CS. I'll try to post something for Parum coming back to the Keep so she isn't alone anymore.

Yue was impressed with Ashe’s knowledge, though in hindsight perhaps Yue was just overcomplicating how hunters capture grimm. She had suspected traps and careful planning with the environment, but Yue kept forgetting that Grimm aren’t that intelligent. Still, she can’t allow herself to underestimate grimm, especially not the older and stronger ones. They don’t get older and stronger for being foolish after all. Ashe also wanted to know what the next classes they had were, and Yue had to take out her agenda to remember. ”Ah, let’s see… I looks like I’m taking Survival, followed by Dust Applications. Just like you!” This was a pleasant surprise. Yue knew she didn’t have Ashe for any of her other previous classes, so it’ll be nice for Yue to be able to hang out with her for the last three. Well, except maybe when Yue and Ashe aren’t on good terms. Hopefully that would never happen.

As yue was talking she noticed that her teammate, Sepia, had finally arrived to class. Yue hadn’t gotten much of a chance to talk to her yet but something seemed off. Yue knew that Sepia was the last to get up, but she had chalked up the sluggishness from just waking up. Yet now it seemed like Sepia was really out of it. It concerned Yue of course, as she’s going to always be worried about her teammates. But before Yue could go and ask what was wrong Professor Port arrived. He seemed tired just like Sepia, yet maintained his jolly persona. Much to Yue’s surprise they weren’t just going to talk about Grimm today: they were going to fight them. And not just any Grimm, but a Reisen class. Yue knew that they were one of the strongest breeds of Grimm and the whole class is going to be tasked with taking it down. Grabbing her metal suitcase Yue followed Port and the others to the grimm.

Sure enough they arrived into a massive complex, and at it’s center was a grimm that was truly Reisen: A Dionaea. Yue has never seen nor heard of such a creature, but it looked fearsome enough. Although the monster was defanged Yue had no doubts that it could still kill with it’s many vines or simply crushing students to death. Normally against a plant-like creature Yue would use Fire Dust, however the area was full of water to simulate the creature’s natural environment. Chances are anything that Yue sets on fire would just get doused so instead she would rely on Ice based Dust. Shatter the creature bit by bit.

Opening the metal suitcase Yue’s face was illuminated by her glowing blade: The Moonlight Greatsword. Her family heirloom weapon, passed on for generations, now in her hands. Strapping the scabbard/bandolier over her shoulders, Yue picked up the massive blade with one hand. It felt light in her hands despite it’s size. And while other hunters may use heavier weapons, even for it’s size the Moonlight Greatsword was oddly light at only ten pounds. She gave it a few practice swings before looking around to the others. Everyone was getting geared up and ready to fight, but Yue continued to worry about Sepia.

After sheathing her weapon into the scabbard yue walked over to Sepia and laid her hand on her silently. Yue let her aura flow through her hand and into Sepia’s body, undoing whatever harm or fatigue her partner may be feeling. ”Sepia, are you okay? You don’t look well. Please don’t push yourself, or even sit out if you can’t fight.” Yue said this even as she continued to channel her own Aura into Sepia to undo any pain her friend might be feeling.

Parum had returned to her bunk after all the chaos had died down. She just felt completely exhausted. She thought that the whole thing would make her restless, but she was asleep just a few seconds after laying her head down. She didn't wake up until much later while everyone was getting out of the keep. Despite all that's happened, the people of Greenest were working hard to return to their normal lives. Bitting her lip Parum had to admit she felt ashamed. She was still shaking and scared from her encounter with the dragon and just... Everything. Yet these people, commoners, were moving on with their lives. Parum supposed that they had to. It's not as if they could just curl up and die.

Getting off her rump Parum walked around and tried to find the others. NO Doubt people like Kyra and Orchid would be helping the people of Greenest. Brannor was definitely still resting. Torus... Parum wasn't sure what Torus would be doing. Perhaps entertaining the children, trying to life their spirits? Stopping in the middle of a hall Parum looked at her rapier. Perhaps there was something she could do to help too. Going to what was left of the town square Parum sat on a box. She watched people mill about, some people trying to make repairs to their homes, others just shuffling along. Taking her viol off her back Parum took a deep breath. "I have no idea what I'm doing... This is probably a horrible idea anyways..."

Taking a deep breath Parum tuned her viol, drew her rapier, and played a somber song. It was just what she was feeling for at the moment... She probably should have tried to play something more upbeat, but her mind was just on the dread and melancholy. Parum wasn't sure if this was the best way to go about it or if maybe she should just pick up a tool and help repair the village. But playing music was all she knew how to do. She hoped that it was good enough.

I will try to post something tonight.

”Thank you!” Despite her initial fears everyone was quite receptive. This would be her first real interaction with people outside of her family’s circle, and while she doubts anyone knows of her lineage Yue wanted to make sure that she didn’t besmirch her family’s good name. Taking a seat among the others Yue listened to their chatter and tried to get caught up to speed with the topic. Seemed like they were introducing themselves. Yue managed to get their names and when it was time for Yue to speak her part she bowed her head and spoke clearly and concisely.

”Yes, I just came here a few days ago. I’m part of Team KYS (Kiss), one of their newest members.” Shortly after saying her part Ashe, one of the new students who introduced herself, mentioned to not mind Skye and her mask. Yue had spotted it on the way in and had a brief moment of tension upon seeing it. A Faunus in a mask was a deadringer for the White Fang, but luckily Skye explained her reasons and eased Yue’s mind. Though now Yue was worried Skye needed treatment such as medication and a balanced diet. It was then that Yue decided that she would do some shopping later today: she was going to make food for her team and Skye and make sure they were eating plentifully and healthily. Yue would have to cut back on some expenses as her allowance wasn’t infinite, but it was a small price to pay for the wellbeings of her new friends.

”As for class, I’m not certain. I know the teacher should be Professor Port. Perhaps he’s busy with something?” Yue looked around towards the cages containing Grimm. While she had no doubts at the abilities of Beacon’s teachers, she imagined it would be difficult for even a seasoned hunter to wrangle one of those nightmares into a cage. The fact they could even do it was a testament of their skills. ”I wonder if they could be tamed… No, no don’t be silly. These aren’t animals. They’re monsters. The fact they could even be put into cages was probably an intense feat.” Yue once had flights of fancy of using music to calm Grimm and lead them as a merry band of creatures in the wild, but those were fantasies of a young girl who didn’t know better. Grimm were monsters that needed to be killed. That’s how it always been, and how it’ll always be.

”Do you think it’s difficult to cage grimm? I don’t imagine they’re exactly obedient. Otherwise someone may have made a circus of grimm.”

I'm back as well. I'm not really sure what to do with Parum though, aside from visit Brannor. I think it might be a bit crowded already though.

Having taken a seat and allowed herself to get comfortable, Yue was slowly letting herself relax instead of trying to stay serious. She had to remember this wasn't Atlus; students at Beacon were free to be jovial and chat with each other. Everything at Atlus was so strict and rigid, Yue actually felt a bit tired how just how carefree Beacon was. But then again, without teachers and staff constantly maintaining discipline, perhaps now Yue needed to grow her own backbone now. She had debated taking out one of her books and reading quietly when she overheard a few girls talking nearby. They seemed to be new students, just like Yue. While Yue has been at Beacon a few days prior, she was still very much unfamiliar with Beacon and it's approach to everything. Doesn't help she just dropped in the middle of the school year.

Yue was content on just listening to the girls and reading her book, flipping between the two whenever Yue heard something interesting. She wanted to go and talk to them but part of her thought it would be incredibly rude to just barge in on their conversation. Her maidly duties taught her to remain in the background until needed, and she didn't think these girls needed her. Though Yue herself wanted to talk to them. This conflict in her mind made Yue remember back to what her parents had told her: she was to attend Beacon in order to learn and understand how to interact outside her usual sphere of duty. Or in other words, be a normal girl. Admittedly she thought this was a bit unfair considering the lifestyle she was raised with, but she wasn't going to let this chance slip away.

So of course before Yue got up to talk to the two new girls they moved onto another ground of three, forming and even larger group.

And unlike Yue, she knew that the three that the two new girls joined were regular students. This made Yue visibly gulp, a bit of hesitation touching her. She thought she could connected with the two girls thanks to their shared inexperience, but now trying to act chummy with regular students too? But Yue swallowed her fears. She wasn't going to make friends or improve if she kept letting fear and uncertainty get in her way. A Maid does not fear a mess, no matter how big it is. Putting her things in a neat pile, Yue walked down to the group of five. "Confidence Yue. Confidence is key."

Yue arrived holding her books close to her chest. It was the moment of truth. All she had to do was open her mouth and ask. What's the worse that could happen? "Um..." Yue could choke, for starters. "Hello, my name is..." Yue could also be ignored. "Gaun Yue. But you can call me Yue." And she could simply fail. "Do you terribly mind if I... Sit here?" Yue reached out and held onto a chair nearby the group. Somehow this all felt so forced to Yue. Taking a deep breath, she tried to compose herself for just a moment, to set a better impression of herself. "I'm a fairly new student and... I'd like to talk to you all. You all seem... No. You're all very interesting. And I'd like it if we could be friends." Plain and simple. Not very elegant, but Yue will work on that.

I'll have to think on it. I'm still rather exhausted from these past few days and I don't want you guys waiting on me. God knows there's enough of that going on with the rest of you.
I'm back as well, but I'll continue having Hibiki and Shizuka out from this battle. When I have the time I'll try to write a scene of them leaving.
