The pen he entered proved to be far bigger than expected and was more akin to a pasture or field where wooloo's and mareeps grazed about. The sheer size of the pasture would certainly make investigating take all day were he to search every part of it; time that he did not have nor intended to spend trudging around a pen. A good thing that he donned the boots seeing that there were patches of waste scattered about leaving Tristan to be careful where he placed his feet as he searched around. With inspecting the entire pen simply not viable, the rich teen decided to check around for anything that seemed out of place and while looking around took notice of the security cameras. Their mere presence surprised him as he did not expect a ranch like this to have such security or any kind of tech, but this meant they had recorded videos and likely the next place to checkout for his investigation.

Leaving the pokemon be as he went about though if a wooloo or mareep wandered over out of curiosity he saw no harm in giving them some pets before moving on. His lack of general knowledge of ranches made investigating difficult as expected and unable to discern if any footprints were made by ranchers or thieves since he had no idea if said thieves were human or pokemon in fact, but then a stroke of luck finally came as he came upon the piece of denim fabric stuck to the barbed wire fence lining the perimeter. Carefully pulling it free from the wire; both to avoid cutting himself and ripping the evidence and upon close inspection took notice of a dark red stain that has set." Hm, this is likely blood, but best not go jumping to assumptions." Taking a few long looks at the fabric thinking that either a rancher had accidentally bumped against the wire, or it belonged to the unknown thieves and if this stain were to indeed be blood then the possibility of it belonging to one of the ranch's staff became less likely.

Seeing that he was likely to get much else from the pen, Tristan chose to make his way out of the pen and would glance around until he spotted a farmhand and made his way over while waving his hand." Excuse me. I have need of your assistance." Pulling up to the individual as the strong smell of dirt and sweat made his nose crinkle but pushed through as he inspected the worker's clothes for a moment." I apologize for the interruptions though I am sure your boss, Mr. Neil has told the staff about me investigating this case concerning the egg thieves, yes?" Waiting for the person to confirm this before continuing on." First, I musk ask you regarding your work clothes. They are denim? Do all of the staff wear the same or of similar outfits?" Holding up the torned fabric close to the side of the farmhand's pants; intending to use his eyes and knowledge of types of fabric and cloth material to discern if they matched or not.

The young blonde was in heaven. Each bite of such wondrous delicacy offering him a wholly new world of flavors he never knew existed and every dish he partook of seemed to wash away all the pain and suffering he endured these past three hellish months. This astonishing feast alone more than made up for it. He had already eaten a fair number of dishes and yet still he made little headway into staggering mountain of food, and this was merely the appetizer and main dishes when there were the desserts and pastries to enjoy though he would save those for last.

Kazumin was more than content to spend most if not the entirety of his time simply enjoying this amazing feast, intending to savor every last bite. At least someone needed to show their appreciation to those hardworking chefs that likely spent hours if not days preparing everything only for half, possibly more of it to very likely end up in the garbage, the thought of so much being wasted gave him determination to eat enough to rival ten people. Oh, how he wished he could take this back home to let his family join in and enjoy such delicacies with him; in fact, there was more than plenty to feed everyone at the village, the farm animals included in entirety or just about.

He might very well have spent the entire evening drifting off in heavenly bliss of flavor; so lost in admiring the meals that he failed to notice someone pulling over at first. Not until the man spoke did he finally break free of the enchanted spell he unknowingly found himself under and in the next moment found himself blinking uncertainly towards the man that had spoken to him with an expression like that of a person who had no idea where they were. It took him a few moments longer to gather himself enough to remember that he was at the royal ballroom and was idly chewing on a frog's leg with the tip of its foot sticking out from between his lips.

Now that he had awaken from his food spell, the man's words were able to register in his mind which made him raise a brow curiously as he gulped down what was in his mouth then gave a cough against his gloveless fist." First time?" He asked while blinking, thinking of how to answer this." I guess you could say that, yes." He replied while using the back of his hand to wipe the bit of grease and whatever crumbs stuck to his lips and cheek." Sorry if It looked as if I was ignoring you as you caught me in the middle of...admiring the chef's handiwork." Motioning with his head towards the moutainous spread before them then cleared his throat once more; no longer distracted by the food's lull that he could get a good look at the man who looked to be relatively clean shaven and not much older than he though certainly more well groomed for certain. Surprisingly, unlike nearly everyone else this person was dressed in a relatively simple outfit; one that he wished that he wished had been among the options to wear, maybe then it would not have taken nearly an hour simply to get dressed though with a tad too many buttons still for his taste.

By a glance, this man seemed less uptight and stuffy on the ways of nobles and found himself not tensing up like he typically does around Asteroth or the guests visiting the estate. And seeing how the stranger was enjoying the food helped putting him a bit more at ease.

Yet, even with such plain formal wear, still looked a better state than he as his outfit looked somewhat disheveled and hastily put on in a manner of someone who got frustrated and fumbled with all these unnecessary buttons and such and just forced things into place. What other options offered to him would very well have taken him all day.

Having studied the stranger enough, he felt comfortable enough to continue speaking, but just as he opened his mouth to speak did a loud deafening roar crack through the entire hall. A loud, stifling sound that drowned out all sound; one made to gain everyone's attention likely to leave most in shocked fright or stunned awe. Kazumin, however, found himself annoyed and rubbing his pinkie in his ear." Bloody hell! Was that necessary? The whole damn town probably heard that. " He muttered under his breath with an agitated grumble, waiting for the ringing in his ears to stop before turning his attention towards the source of that ear shattering howl. His eyes went wide in awe, eyes almost glittering as he laid eyes on such a breathtaking creature." Christ...is that a tiger?" He asked incredulously seemingly to the stranger besides him, but more precisely to no one in particular. Once again, Kazu found himself admiring something; this time an animal he had only seen illustrations and pictures of from books though what was most eye fetching was the fact its fur was black as the night. Its every movement left the great beast looking akin to a shadow and could easily be mistaken as such if not for those sharp glowing eyes that glittered a warning to all to be wary to approach for any that dared.

*How peculiar, weren't tigers orange?* He asked himself then remembered that he was speaking with someone and turned his attention back to the stranger as another thought came to mind, this one he voiced." That's a tiger, yeah? You think if I ask its owner nicely that they will let me pet it?" Briefly glancing back over at the tiger which had padded its way back over to a gorgeously darkly tanned woman donned in a dark blue dress seeming to only enhance the starkness of her skin adding to the allure of her beauty. Course, just about everyone in this hall was either a blinding beauty or astonishingly handsome; not that he really paid any mind to such as he never cared much about one's appearance and hard to care when nearly everyone in here were all competing for attention and being the best. Now animals like that tiger were different. Animals fascinated him and a black furred tiger; how could he not help but want to feel the creature's hide which looked to be entirely built of powerfully wicked muscles with great big paws that could kill a grown man with a single swipe were they so unlucky to find themselves at its mercy?

This time, he was able to catch himself before losing himself in his gushing and turned his gaze back to John then cleared his throat once more." Hm, oh yes! It slipped the mind. the name's Kazumin..Kazumin Nagasa." Finally getting around to offering his name as he extended his left hand to shake if John chose to accept.

The carriage carrying the Hugonin party eventually arrived and pulled to a stop before the steps leading up to the open heavyset doors leading into the hall and past that the ballroom. And as the carriage rolled to a stop did it cause the napping Kazumin wake with a small, startled start who then sat up wiping the bit of drool from his lips upon the back of his left hand, the right used to rub the sleep from his eyes. Blinking himself awake and with it, Baron Asteroth's stern face came into view with an eyebrow raised." Hm? Have we arrived then?" He asked sleepily, still in the midst of waking.

Lord Asteroth simply stared at his young ward who had napped the entire trip for a moment before giving a slight shake of the head with a low wry chuckle." Indeed, that we have and a trifle late I might add." The aged gentleman stated with cloying accusation.

Kazu coughed into his fist upon hearing this with the pretense of clearing his throat while looking away." Yes, well...we're here aren't we? Shan't be sitting about casting blame to why we're late, no?" The young blonde, now awake patted at his knees with a wide forced grin trying to show enthusiasm, but his amber brown eyes clearly gave way that he wished to be anywhere but here.

The baron studied his ward a moment longer then let out a wry chuckle." Yes, I suppose you're correct. Let us be off, but I suggest you fix up your hair. I shall head out first and expect you to be following after shortly." He spoke in that gruff coolly tone of his, the warning for him to not go sneaking off evident in his voice that had Kazu let out a weak chuckle in turn.

" Don't worry, I'll be along shortly.
" Waving his hand while keeping up that forced grin only to let out a weary sigh the moment the older gent stepped out from the carriage." Ugh, I can already tell this is going to be a long and excruciating day." His body slumped back against the cushioned seat as his head rolled back, eyes closed and took a few deep breaths trying to prepare himself. His trepidations were understandable; seeing as this was not only his first ball, but his first outing with nobles' period. How he, a mere peasant farmer managed to find himself to an event no peasant could dare dream to experience and yet somehow here he was about to enter a room filled with all the elites of elites, the royal family included. Yet, unlike any other who would find themselves impossibly excited and nervous, Kazumin was absolutely and positively dreading placing a foot on the steps alone as he found himself picturing his pals back home at the run-down tavern laughing their arses off at him were they to see the ridiculously over the top outfit he currently wore. He leaned forward; face buried in his hands where he let out an almost pained groan sounding like one asking to be killed and spare him such a tortous evening.

If not for the fact that this was his first time leaving the Hugonin estate since being taken there three months ago or the promised prospect of wondrous food the likes peasant never even knew existed, then he would have chosen to skip the festivities entirely. Having been cooped up for three months doing nothing but sword training with the sword trainer, Ezekial whom preferred to called Zeke and Agatha, his etiquette teacher; Zeke he did not mind too much though tended to get a little too into the sword fighting during training, the bruises adorning his skin a fresh reminder. Miss Agatah, on the other hand was hands down the most horrid person he ever had the delight to meet and the source of the majority of bruises that ached his body and head to this day. The blasted hag never heard the meaning of holding back with that stick of hers; a number of countless times that her mere presence made him nervous and with it screwing up the latest tasks towards becoming a proper gentleman. The Hugonin estate has indeed been a truly hellish stay and were it not for Susan, one of the house's younger maids that he may very well have gone mad from the constant training and teaching with too little breaks that allowed him a proper smoke or drink.

He rubbed at his face with a weary groan and after a few more moments preparing himself, did he sit up where he licked at his fingers, using them to press down his golden blonde gelled hair. The gel kept most of his hair in place leaving him only needing to fix a couple stray tufts until only two, maybe three remained though that curly golden cowlick bouncing at the top of his head stuck out; a tuft that proved impossible to rid as no amount of brushing or hair product proved capable of defeating it. Not that Kazu was bothered by it, not in the slightest and simply gave a shrug of his shoulders." Good enough as ever I guess."

Taking a few more deep breaths and slow exhales before the young blonde finally brought himself to exit the carriage. He stepped down then stopped to take a glance around to see a few other nobles making their way up the steps, each of them moving with a graceful gait and was once more reminded just how much of a fish out of water he was and for the briefest moment thought to simply leave and might have done so had he not spotted Asteroth at the top of the stairs chatting with some unknown noble." Phew...it's just for one evening. You can do this, Kazu.... do it for the food... for the exotic pudding." Muttering this to himself and upon mentioning pudding felt energy well up through his body, invigorating the young blonde. Giving his formal wear shirt a few tugs removing any wrinkles and a shifting tug of the belt then finished with some sharp adjustments of the cuffs and he was ready to venture inside. And considering this damn outfit took him nearly an hour to put on and the likely cause of their lateness, Kazu intended to get his use from the suit. One last slow exhale and he was off; up the stairs his fine booted feet crunched feeling as if he was venturing into a realm wholly new and normally forbidden to one of his ilk. Whether this were to prove a grave mistake or not he had no inkling to know.

Before long he was at the top and found Lord Asteroth waiting for him who regarded him momentarily before stepping close to place a hand upon his shoulder with an assuring squeeze." You will do great, lad. No time better to put your training from lady Agatha to practice. But remember that what awaits you are no plaything scenarios so be respectful and on your best behavior. Do not make me regret my decision and embarrass my house." Each word he spoke were stern and serious, the most serious Kazu had seen him since becoming his ward yet they had a strangely comforting hint to them as the aged knight offered a small smile barely visible through the groomed beard.

" Right... my best behavior. I'll do my best." He returned with a half-hearted salute while blowing a low huff from his nose as he gazed at Asteroth, the older gentleman who was the root cause for his even being here. In fact, he never even wanted nor intended accepting the offer of being his ward, but the countless convincing pleas and talks of such opportunity so rarely given led to him to accept in resignment though his many siblings were very much against it as well. Thinking of them brought a sad smile to his lips; all of this was for their sake. Just five years, five years and he will be back home with his family and all their money troubles no longer a thing.

Steeling himself once more, Kazu nodded back which earned him another comforting squeeze to his shoulder then the two turn and made their way inside.

These past three months have all been done to prepare himself for such an event like this and yet, even with all that had been taught and beaten into his head, none of it could ever accurately prepare one who has never born witness to such a spectacle. As such, the mere moment he placed his first step into the ballroom and he found himself completely overwhelmed, his senses assaulted by a wide assortment of things a farmboy like him has never experienced. All sorts of glittering gowns, jewelry and fancy decor along with various instruments of all sorts he had never laid eyes on before playing elegant music that might have brought him to tears were it not for thick smog of mixing perfumes and sweet scents making his eyes sting. It took all that he had to keep from gagging from the overwhelming nauseating scents though he could not stop the coughs that he thankfully covered up with the back of his right hand. Barely a step inside and already his head swam; a headache beginning to faintly throb in his temples as he tried peering into the room, but his eyes stinging with tears could hardly make out any of the various face and the people dancing only made it all the more difficult to pick out anything.

*Gods! How can these people possibly endure such a heavy smog of scents for even a second? And all those candles...this place is a raging fire waiting to happen.* The overwhelmed blonde thought this to himself. The room certainly was unlike anything he had ever seen before, but it was impossible to admire or enjoy with the vast amount of activity and going-Ons happening.

If one were to honestly ask him what he thought of the place he would say that this was simply overkill, far too much and unnecessary. The amount of money you could get from everything in this room could easily cover ten villages for years and still have some left-over, an unpleasant thought that left Kazu with a bad taste in his mouth.

Then the unexpected pat to his back snapped him away from such negative thoughts as he looked over at Asteroth who gave a nod and smile in turn before heading off to find and mingle with his fellow men. That's right...everyone in here were born of the same cloth, everyone that is save for him. Even with all these people about, Kazu found himself feeling impossibly alone without a familiar friendly face in sight.

Thankfully, the smell of food filled his nostrils no longer burning from the heavy parfumes which helped lessen the swirling dizziness he was reeling from. Not wishing to dwell on such depressing thoughts when a treasure trove of a feast never before seen lie only a short distance away. a myriad of food those like him could spend their entire life saving and still be lucky to afford only a morsel and here there several tables of such along with alcohol to drink. He would find himself disappointed to find that it only consisted of wine...the drink for whelps among booze, but better than nothing.

Without wasting a step, the hungry blonde made straight for the tables until he could hardly notice the perfume or much of anything. Only the food that lie before him lay in his sights and with an anticipated growl from his belly moved in intending to partake of everything in this hall.

Kazumin was so engrossed with the most beautiful and eye fetching spread that he could dare say was unmatched that he hardly paid notice to the huge spectacle of an entrance made by the visiting Alidasht who made it their goal to make the most extravagant entrance imaginable. While everyone else in the hall was in stunned awe and disbelief, Kazu was in disbelief at the gush of heavenly flavors titillating his tongue to the point of nearly bringing him to tears once more, this one of pure happiness.

Tristan followed after Neil; still wheeling from the so-called casual pat to the back when the rancher offered an apology in place of his wife. He gave a small dismissive wave of the hand." No need for apologies as no harm was done." He said that while rubbing at his chest. Before long saw that they had arrived just outside the pens where he was then told that he would be free to look around and investigate and while he doesn't exactly have experience in investigations, in fact none just about but figured it shouldn't be too difficult.

The rich teen was preparing to make for the pens when Neil mentioned that he would be back as if planning to fetch something." By all means. Take your time." A time well spent catching his breath and fixing his hair and by the time the rancher return had recomposed himself only to see those ugly faded boots being offered. It took biting his tongue to keep from cringing in distaste from these gaudy soles that no one should be forced to wear. The mere thought of putting his elegant feet in such dirty and smelly boots nearly had him gag which he forced down with a gulp." Those are...nice boots, yes. I Graciously accept." He finished with a forced smile while taking the boots that he would normally have refused outright, but the couple have been nothing but kind and accepted his offer for a Torchic when they had no reason to. And as such, he had no intention of rude to refuse this offering done to help him.

" Ahem. Well, it's only right that I offer my thanks and please be assured that I shall take care of these horrid thieves. So be at ease and take care of your business as usual." Waving to the departing rancher then turned his attention to the boots and found himself reeling from the smell emanating from their insides. He would normally never even contemplate wearing worn down, old boots but taking into consideration that he was about to investigate pens likely to be dirty. For the sake of keeping his loafers from being ruined he was willing to endure wearing these stinky boots...for a short time at least.

Begrudgingly, Tristan put on the boots and after putting his loafers in bag after a quick dusting then made his way into the pen. Upon stepping inside, found that he could not hold back the gag this time as the smell of manure and other unpleasant smells lingering in the air assaulted his poor, sensitive nose. Pinching his nostrils shut, the spoiled teen peered around the pen to investigate.

What does Tristan see inside the pens?

Hm, I'm interested and would probably go with the Caesonia kingdom for the character I have in mind, might go for an outsider depending on whether the idea I have in mind is plausible or not.

Being as small and fragile as he was; a person who very much watched his weight that the unexpected powerful pat to his back had indeed knocked him from the chair he sat in. He would have been sent flying to the ground had Neil not caught him, but did nothing to hep the fact every bit of air was blown from his lungs leaving Tristan to cough and wheeze, even feeling as if he was going to vomit only to gulp it down along with a mouthful of oxygen burning down his throat, struggling to catch his breath.

Tristan pushed himself back up onto shaky legs, blinking away the bit of tears that had formed in his eyes; barely catching what the two said, but the gist of it which meant the deal was wholly accepted and settled." W-wonderful...I'm glad *gasps* we could come to agreement." Speaking through small wheezing coughs, still trying to keep his soul from leaving him as he rubbed at his throat hearing Neil asking to follow him in order to begin the investigations. He nodded in turn while coughing in an attempt to clear his throat." Yes, by all means. Please lead the way." His words coming out a bit wheezy and raspy still; turning his head to Mrs. Frida." I'll...do my best to take care of this for you and greatly look forward to partake of your cooking." He finished with a bit of cracking to his voice as he nodded to the woman before following after her husband where along the way wondered why all the women in this region were so strong and dangerous. At this rate it was becoming far more likely a woman would kill him he feared and was thankful that his instincts warned him not to say something stupid which the incident with Freya and Steph more than likely had a big hand in.

The discussion seemed to be going well as Tristan missed the way the rancher flinched upon being referred by his last name due to being taught in the ways of business formal. And thus, when told to call him Neil, he found it strange." Ah? Yes, of course. If that is what you prefer..." Intending to do as such but trailed off instead finding it awkward to do so.

Thankfully, Mr. Anderson spoke on changing the topic with mention of his wife sharing similar opinions regarding the house using some spring colors bringing a smile to his lips. It seemed this woman had some good taste to think such from the style and decor of the place though kept quiet as he looked to have more to say after showing a look of confusion or at least that was what he could make out through that bushy beard.

The next statement had him raising an eyebrow; surprised at his guess that he was foreign to the Evig region, that is until he was told about the situation regarding Torchics. Hearing this made him frown while his folded hands clenched a bit, both saddened and frustrated to hear of more the horrible effects done by cipher's misdeeds. He lost himself in thought until Neil carried on that the Torchics were more his wife's and needed to discuss with her about it after quick mention about a pack of moomoo milk." Oh... oh! Yes, of course. By all means, take your time and am more than fine with the moomoo milk." He replied in turn which got a happy chirp from King who wasn't disappointed at all about the berries leaving him to guess that this Murkrow might have partaken of this ranch's milk before.

Tristan spent this time to think on what Neil said after he left to talk with the wife. How sad it was to hear how much the Pokemon are suffering due to this vile organization who seemed to show no remorse towards the fact their actions have pushed pokemon to extinction were it not for people like Mr. Anderson's wife. He had no idea of just how severely damaging Cipher's presence was to the region that he wondered how they could be stopped. And if this was indeed the only place to find Torchics then this was his one and only chance to acquire one.

Before long he would hear the rancher return with his wife; a woman that carried an intimidating presence that while briefly reminded him of Steph and Freya, hers felt less dangerous and more just imposing similar to that of Neil though not as strongly and with a hint of warmth. All it took was a single glance to tell this woman was no stranger to manual labor as she had a strongly built body, albeit nowhere near as bulky as her husband, but he had a feeling her strength was far from lacking as he would in fact get a taste of it shortly.

The rich teen soon heard her speak and his face went blank and pale as once again was instantly reminded of the she-beast. To find another that spoke in such a thickly accent left him reeling in a manner akin to ptsd though the one saving grace was that her accent wasn't as thick allowing him to actually pick out some of her words at least, one of them including her name to be Frida.

This had Tristan struggling with trying to decipher what she said, but one thing was for sure that this time he would hold his tongue. As he had the feeling that whereas a punch from Steph would have left him with a bruised or broken nose, a blow from this woman could very well kill him. And so, he chose to hold his tongue while blinking nervously at the hand she extended momentarily before reaching out to take hold of it; an act he regretted almost instantly for the grip she had was like a vise that threatened to crush his silky soft and well-manicured hand and for a moment swore he heard something crack, confirming that a blow from Frida indeed would be deadly.

" Ch-Charmed to meet you, Mrs. Frida...and like I said to Mr Neil here, I wish to say once again that you have a lovely home here." He spoke in a friendly, albeit strained and slightly nervous manner then gave a forced smile. The one relief he had was that Neil was there to explain in his wife's stead. His eyebrows furrowed a bit at the next statement, finding it a bit disappointing that he wouldn't get to pick out his own though taking their situation into consideration that it was only fair, but was happy to hear they agreed to his proposal. Even if Frida did not seem all too pleased with it by the tone of her words, at least from what he was able to make out.

Tristan couldn't help feel bad; both for the trouble they were going through and the situation with the torchics and pondered to himself while rolling his wrist and flexing the hand to make sure nothing had been broken." I am pleased to hear you have accepted my proposal and have no qualms regarding being unable to pick one out as I don't wish to hinder the gallant efforts of Mrs. Frida here, but... I have one last thing to add if you don't mind?" He stopped there for a moment trying to think up an idea while still rolling his wrist when he noticed his stomach rumbling and from it came the idea needed." Mind, before you worry, I don't mean to add more onto the deal, but instead to offer a slight change. I would like to suggest lowering the reward by another 500 from the offered price making it an even 3k and in exchange perhaps ask to join you for dinner, after I have dealt with the egg thieves of course." He finished with a nod in the hopes this would make Frida a little more comfortable with offering up a Torchic even if only a tad and get himself a home cooked meal that while he doubt would be anything like the high quality meals he was used to, anything they cooked would be far more preferable to the nutrition bars and other small dried food chives had packed for him of which he had been dreading having to subject his refined tastebuds to.

Tristan was observing the rancher's face expectantly, waiting for him to show visible recognition at the mention of the Glory name. Not only did he get no reaction as he hoped, but a look of confusion as if he had never heard about his family which left Tristan feeling a tad flustered and disappointed.* Seriously? How can he not know about the Glory Congomerate?* He wondered this to himself, baffled, as just about everyone back home just about knew of the Glory's and only those who lived under a rock wouldn't though from the looks of this man, he was likely one such case.

Then the man spoke in a gruff manner causing the pampered teen to tense up as he unexpectedly found himself paranoid, worried the rancher was gonna grab and toss him into some nearby piles of hay. It certainly wouldn't have been the first time being tossed out, but he simply told to follow him to discuss the details inside. Tristan let out a low exhale of relief, releasing his breath that he hadn't noticed even holding in at first; clearly still rattled from the whole ordeal with Freya and Steph.

" Y-yes, right. Ahem, lead the way then good sir." Taken off-guard by the rancher's surprisingly direct yet kind manner of speaking as these types typically tended to not be so... elegant in the way they spoke, at least from what he was taught. Only to be surprised yet again upon setting eyes on the man's domicile, so very unlike the image in his head as while he wasn't exactly picturing a tiny shack but more like say a small wooden cabin and instead the property was more akin to a moderately nice summer home that most rick folks normally owned.

Three times now that Tristan was surprised by this ranch which, now that he took a good look around proved to be quite large which seemed to show that this place was thriving quite well. And this house was visible proof of its booming success. Then before long he saw the inside and while the decor wasn't exactly to his taste per se, he couldn't deny that the furniture and style gave off a warm and comfortable vibe; one that he might find very relaxing to lounge about when wanting a break from his lifestyle with all the tech and keeping up with social media.

Consider Tristan more than impressed and once in the kitchen, would see that this rancher whose name to be Neil Anderson was also well mannered as well seeing how he offered a glass of iced tea. For once he found himself giving a warmly smile as he sat down at the table making himself comfortable and took a sip of the tea which to his delight wasn't overly sweet as most places tended to be often overpowering the gentle flavors, but the lack sweetness allowed him to enjoy the refreshing sharpness of mint and faint sourness of lemon, none of it overpowering to the senses.

Unlike that grumpy bore, Kapock, Neil was a man Tristan found himself respecting as he seemed to know how to do business with the ranch as good indication, not to mention he knew how to treat his guests well. And so, for once Tristan paid full attention listening to the man's qualms after introducing himself first to which he gave a small dismissive wave of the hand." Not an issue at all, mr. Andersen, correct? " He asked with a nod wanting to confirm he got the name right then sipped at his drink while Neil carried on and would frown upon hearing that this egg stealing issue was more severe than what he once thought that he couldn't stand to see this kindly rancher having money troubles, especially as smaller businesses needed every bit of profit to survive.

Nodding his head with one last sip of his tea before chiming in after Neil finished with a quick clearing of the throat." Hm, that does indeed sound very unfortunate though before we get down to the nitty details regarding the job. It would be improper of me to not compliment you on this wonderful home of yours. Very...compact yet comfortable I dare say, perhaps some splashes of springtime colors would do the place wonders." Once again waving his hand dismissively with another sip of his tea with a refreshing sigh, this drink really was what he needed to soothe the nerves that had been festering." Ah, but I digress, forgive me. We're not here to discuss about your home. Onto business then.... this egg stealing does sound pretty dire from the way explained and so I assume it has been happening for some time then?" Asking with a raised brow before scoffing at the mention of the cops with a shake of his head, eyebrows furrowed." The authorities... hah! They are indeed a waste of time. The cops care only for themselves as it's all about politics and money with them who do nothing but abuse their powers most times." His opinions towards cops were low as they caused more trouble than good majority of times from the dealings he had seen regarding them.

It was no wonder why this rancher looked so exhausted when having to deal with cops who have been of no help obviously and all the profits these unknown thieves were costing him. He sat up, ready to discuss the fine details now and after years of intense shopping sprees, the one thing he was confident with and that was haggling. Though unlike his brothers who would likely try to trick and scam this simple farmer, Tristan was about fairness and while the offered price was adequate for a venue of this level, there was something he was more interested in than money at least in this instance." After listening to your qualms and the issues it has caused, I'm more than happy to take on the job and take care of things but before doing so I wish to discuss the reward?" Tristan leaned forward folding his hands together on the table having shifted into business mode." Before anything else, I will say that the price offered is more than fair though I admit, after having looked around your ranch that I have taken notice to the pokemon you housed upon your property and while they are not free for capture yes? And thus, I wish to suggest a proposal." Nodding while observing Neil as he spoke to gauge his reaction before carrying on." A proposal in the guise of a trade involving one of your torchics perhaps? Mind you that I understand they are rare pokemon so, of course this means the offered price along with said torchic would be too much, correct?" Drumming his fingers along his knuckles as he stopped to think for a moment, his lips pursing as he did so." So how about this. I find and take care of these dreadful egg thieves and in return ask for 3,500 and a Torchic of my choosing to pick? And maybe some berries for my pokemon as more likely than not some battling will be involved of which my pokemon will be handling so they will deserve a bit of reward as well." At the mention of this, King chimed in with an approving caw clearly happy at the prospect of getting a delicious berry as a reward.

He then leaned back to finish off the rest of his iced tea." Does this proposal sound fair to you?" Tristan once again observed the farmer as he waited to let him think on the proposal he suggested.
