Man, this has been going on a long time. Often I consider joining back for a third time, but I fear losing interest in my character again and leave.
If you would be willing to accept me for a third time, I will definitely put a lot more effort into creating a new character, someone that I would be far more comfortable rp'ing as than the last two characters.
"A Duel, huh?" Carnel asked. "Sure, I'm willing to accept that challenge." The blade of his Duel Disk materialized as he readied himself for the Duel. As he walked back to get into position, Carnel continued, "As the one being challenged, I will go first."
"First I Summon Spirit Reaper in Defense position," Carnel started. A purple-robed humanoid figure appeared on the field, holding up its scythe defensively.
Spirit Reaper Level 3 ATK 300 DEF 200
"Next I place one card face-down and end my turn," Carnel ended. "It's your move now."
Rumi looked at her hand and looked awfully disappointed. "B-Because I have no other options, I set 5 cards facedown!" Rumi called out, desperately hoping she gets a better draw next turn. "And with that, I end my turn."
Carnel hadn't been expecting that. Still, considering the amount, it was very likely that some of them were merely decoys for the real threats. "Draw!" Carnel decalred as he drew his next card. Nothing special, and not very useful right now. "I'll just switch Spirit Reaper to Attack position and attack you directly then," Carnel said. Spirit Reaper rose up and flung itself toward Rumi, its scythe raised to swing downwards.
"And now, a Trap card!" Rumi called out. "Magic Cylinder activates!" Rumi announced "Your attack will be negated and its attack will be send back!" Rumi would have read out the entire card text but she wasn't exactly familiar with japanese text
Spirit Reaper went through one Cylinder and was instantly shot back out the other, straight at Carnel, who took the collision directly.
Carnel: 7700 LP -> 7400 LP
After brushing himself off, Carnel remarked, "Well, that wasn't a bad move, but that wasn't the best either. You should have saved a Trap like that for when you would take a huge amount of damage, not against something like my 300 ATK Spirit Reaper." As if to add to Carnel's response, Spirit Reaper laughed maniacally, brandishing its scythe around.
"Your reaper is a mean one," Rumi commented out of nowhere, looking at its response.
"My apologies. I can't control my monsters when they act like that," Carnel said, his polite smile on his face. "I don't have anything else to do this turn, so I'll end it here."
"Card draw!" Rumi called out. "I summon Madolche Mewfeuille and Special Summon my Madolche Messegelato from hand," Rumi declared.

"Messegelato's effect activates, and I add Madolche Chateau to my hand, and following this up i will also activate it!" Rumi said confidently as she watches a Château made of baked goods pop up out of nowhere along with her 2 other monsters "This should do it... Turn end?" Rumi asked herself before almost forgetting to attack "Wait, no! I need to attack first. Battle phase!" Rumi declared, "Go, my friends, attack!", specifically making the weaker madolche attack first
"Spirit Reaper cannot be destroyed by battle!" Carnel added as Spirit Reaper was hit by the little pink puffball.
"You still take damage, right?" Rumi asked in honesty.
"Unfortunately," Carnel responsed as Spirit Reaper pushed back Madolche Mewfeuille, only to be struck again by Madolche Messengelato
Carnel: 7400 LP -> 6700 LP -> 4900 LP
"And now my turn ends... You okay though?" Rumi asked not really understanding solid vision that well. "This game isn't that popular in Europe, around where I lived so I don't really know."
"No need to worry, Duels like these aren't meant to hurt people," Carnel replied.
"Draw!" Carnel declared, drawing his next card. "I activate a Spell card: Grinding Levels," Carnel said, a Spell card appearing depicting Silent Swordsman LV5 fighting Armed Dragon LV7. "I return an 'LV' monster from my hand to my deck so I can draw two cards." Revealing Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV4, he slipped it into his deck, and the auto-shuffler began to work its magic.
Rumi interrupted, "Hold it right there! I believe its time for a Tea Break! Madolche Tea Break activates. If there are no Madolches in my graveyard, I can negate a Spell or Trap card and send it back to its owner's hand if its negated."
An buzzing sound emerged from Carnel's Duel Disk, showing his Spell Card being crossed out before ejecting the card from it. "Well now, that's a bother. I'll switch Spirit Reaper back to Defense position and end my turn."
"Draw!" Rumi called out drawing her card. "Oh it's you! You can stay in my hand," Rumi smiled looking at her card, "I guess if I can't hit it... Turn end!"
"Draw!" Carnel called out, drawing his card. "So that's what was next," Carnel muttered. Returning his attention to the Duel, Carnel said, "I Tribute Spirit Reaper in order to Summon Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6!" A bird-like metallic create with a dragon's tail appeared hovering in the air, screeching as it made its appearance.
Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 Level 6 ATK 2300 DEF 1600
"TRAP HOLE ACTIVATION!" Rumi called out. "Your monster is destroyed because it's strong!" Rumi poorly explained though it's likely he knew what the card does.
"I couldn't activate this last time, but now I can," Carnel said. "I activate a Trap card as well: Trap Stun! This card negates all other Trap cards for the rest of the turn, so Trap Hole is useless." A bolt of electricity shot out of Carnel's Trap Stun, striking Rumi's Trap Hole card and forcing it to pop into yellow sparkles.
"Awww..." Rumi said slightly disappointed, but knew she should expect this. "My friend told me this could happen."
"Your friend was right," Carnel said. "Now then, I also activate the Spell card: Level Up! With this card, my Horus becomes stronger, transforming itself into its final form." As Horus began to glow, its silhouette growing larger, Carnel chanted, "Dragon of magic-repelling hide, lay waste to your foes! Arise, Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8!" The glow finally subsided, and Horus had evolved into a much larger creature than the small beast from before, appearing like an actual dragon.. It roared as it made its entrance to the field.
Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 Level 8 ATK 3000 DEF 2500
"Horus, attack Madolche Messengelato!" Carnel commanded, and Horus let out a stream of black fire at the little mailman, who was quickly engulfed and popped into yellow sparkles.
"All Madolche monsters do not go to the graveyard, but get shuffled into the deck instead if they are destroyed by opponent's cards," Rumi called out as she took her card and put it back in her hand "My field spell's effect will also trigger. I will return her to my hand instead."
Rumi: 8000 LP -> 7100 LP
"That still smarts though..." Rumi added. "No biggie, though!"
Rumi drew her card in silence in awe of what she is facing right now. "Well, if anything bad happens... I'll have to play you now then, right?" Rumi talked to herself for a bit. "No? Chouxvelier, I'll summon you then!" Rumi said. playing out a simple card in face-up defense position. "Should have activated this earlier... I Activate Madolche Waltz," Rumi activated a trap card she had since the start of the duel. "And also Madolche Ticket!" Rumi called out scratching his head asking herself why she didn't when she could.
"I activate the effect of Horus!" Carnel countered. "When a Spell Card is activated, Horus can negate and destroy it!" Horus proceeded to fire a blue laser from the gem on its forehead, shattering Madolche Ticket.
"I'll also switch my other monster to defense position too," Rumi flipped her card sideways. "Turn End!"
Carnel drew his next card, thoughtful of his next action. Right now, attacking was next to pointless, considering the Madolche Waltz and the fact that he could only attack with one monster. Plus, any Madolches he destroyed would only be returned to the hand. "I'll just Summon Cyber Valley in Defense position, then end my turn," Carnel said.
Rumi drew her card and summoned Messegelato once again.
Madolche Messegelato Level 4 ATK 1600 DEF 1000
"I just remembered! My friend said this called a turnaround?" Rumi asked, then concentrated. "As my friend has done once before! I shall begin my xyz chant... Ah... I forgot... ANYWAYS! Xyz Summon! Come forth, Madolche Queen Tiaramisu!" Rumi said as she also tried to the chant her friend usually does when he Xyz Summons.
"Now he said I can detach overlay units to activate effects... I detach Xyz Materials from Queen Tiaramisu and return Madolche Ticket to my deck and target your big scary bird dragon and send it back to your deck... unless I am doing it wrong...?" Rumi conducted her turn in a very confused matter as it is actually her first time using xyz.
"Well, unless the effect says otherwise, that should be correct," Carnel said as Horus faded away from the field, having been returned to the deck.
"With that, I will now attack your monster with the queen herself!" Rumi said, signifying the change to the Battle Phase.
"I activate the effect of Cyber Valley!" Carnel declared. "When it is targeted by an attack by an opponent's monster, I can banish it to draw 1 card, then end the Battle Phase!" Cyber Valley faded out of existence, and Carnel drew one card from his deck.
"Aww... Well thats no biggie, I'll end my turn now then," Rumi commented. "Hmm, hey, you want something to eat after this?" Rumi asked without a particular reason.
"Draw!" Carnel announced, drawing a card. "I place two cards face down, then I summon Dandylion in Defense Position," A small dandelion with features resembling a lion appeaqred on the field, crouching and holding its two leaves out as if crossing them to form a blocking gesture.
"Draw!" Rumi called out. "I will set a card, detach my last card, and return my Madolche monsters to my deck, but due to the field spell, I add them to my hand instead and return your cards back to your deck," Rumi declared, considering her options. "I'll return both your set cards to your deck."
"I activate one of my face-downs: Fires of Doomsday!" Carnel countered. "This allows me to Special Summon two 'Doomsday Tokens' in Defense position." Two black flames then erupted next to Dandylion, both of which morphed into forms similar to the Metal Fiend Token. Carnel returned the other card to the deck while Fires of Doomsday went to the graveyard.

Rumi double checked her hand. "I summon Madolche Cruffsant and use it to return Mewfuelle back to my hand. It gains a level and- Huh...?" Rumi tried to announce but an error message pops up realizing she put the wrong card on the disk "EEEEHHH!? That's not Cruffssant," she calls out, surprised. She then realizes she put Messengelato on the field instead. "What do I do... what do I do... end my turn? Yes, end my turn! T-T-TURN END!" Rumi panicked as she ruined her plan, ending her turn in her own confusion and panic. Sadly, the disk registered it as a command before she could say anything to stop it. "N-N-no wait I wasn't done with my turn yet let me take my turn!" Rumi said in a foreign language completely out of the blue.
Carnel didn't know exactly what was going on with Rumi, but he could make a reasonable guess that she had messed up something. He briefly pondered taking advantage of her predicament. The thought lasted only a brief moment. His pride as a Duelist would not allow him to do something do underhandedly, at least not to someone who seemed to have only recently started playing Duel Monsters. With that in mind, he decided that he would cut her some slack in the next turn.
"Draw!" Carnel declared, drawing his next card. "I Summon Elemental HERO Stratos in Defense position." A warrior an armored blue flight suit, complete with a pair of wings and rotors, appeared on the field.
Elemental HERO Stratos Level 4 ATK 1800 DEF 300
"With his effect, I can search out one 'HERO' monster from my deck," Carnel explained, pulling out the card that had been ejected from his deck and revealing it to Rumi. "This monster can only be Special Summoned by Tributing three monsters." On that note, Stratos and the Doomsday tokens vanished, and Carnel began to chant, "Master of blood, strike fear into our foes. Take their strength as your own and render them helpless. Level 8! Destiny HERO - Plasma!" A humanoid figure with dark purple armor and large tattered wings appeared, generating a menacing aura.
Destiny HERO - Plasma Level 8 ATK 1900 DEF 600
"I activate Plasma's effect! I can target one of your monsters and equip it to Plasma," Carnel declared, pointing at Madolche Queen Tiaramisu. Plasma then spread his wings, and a strong wind was suddenly generated, slowly sucking in the queen until she could no longer resist and was absorbed into Plasma's left wing. "By doing so, Plasma gains half the ATK of the equipped monster."
Destiny HERO - Plasma: ATK 1900 -> ATK 3000
"I should mention that Destiny HERO - Plasma will negate all of your monsters' effects as well," Carnel said. "Turn End."
"D-draw!" Rumi declared, clearly realizing her deck is powerless right now. "All monster effects negated..." she looked at her hand. "Madolche can't do anything without their effects... Checkmate..." Rumi said, slightly disappointed. "I'll set a card facedown and err... um... I summon Chouxvalier and Xyz summon Queen Tiaramisu again!"
"And use its effect to send Madolche Tea Break back to my deck and Plasma back to your deck?" Rumi declared, very much unsure of what to do even forgetting she can't use Tiaramisu's effect.
"Again, Plasma's effect negates all of your monster effects," Carnel reminded her. "Tiaramisu's effect won't work, I'm afraid."
"R-right... this doesnt mean I get the overlay unit back, huh..." Rumi responded and thought about the card she just set. "Wait... the card I just set... might work right...?" Rumi thought to herself. "Well... in that case... Battle Phase! I will attack your defending monster with Tiaramisu!" Rumi declared merely watching the battle unfold,
"When Dandylion is sent to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon two 'Fluff Tokens' in Defense position," Carnel said after Dandylion was destroyed, and two white fluffy floaties appeared, both having a defiant look on their faces.
Fluff Token Level 1 ATK 0 DEF 0
"You probably already read this effect while it was on the field, but you take 300 damage after the damage step because a Madolche monster battled!" Rumi commented but also explained in case he didn't. "And with that, I end my turn!" Rumi declared after making sure she did everything.
"Draw!" Carnel declared, drawing a card. "I Tribute one of my Fluff Tokens to summon Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6!" One of the white fluffs disappeared, only to replaced with the metallic bird-like creature.
Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 Level 6 ATK 2300 DEF 1600
"Battle! Horus, attack Madolche Mewfeuille!" Carnel commanded, and Horus fired a small black fireball at it, incinerating it, but not before Mewfeuille danced around Horus first as Madolche Waltz was triggered.
Carnel: 4600 LP -> 4300 LP
"Plasma, destroy Madolche Queen Tiaramisu! Bloody Fears!" Plasma spread his wings once more, and fired small pellets of what appeared to be blood from them.
Right before damage calculation, Rumi shouted, "MADOLCHE LESSON! I wouldn't call that proper manners on a Hero! I Return a Madolche monster to my deck and my Madolche monsters gain 800 attack and defense points! The queen here shall show you proper manners herself!" Rumi called out.
Madolche Queen Tiaramisu: 2700 ATK -> 3500 ATK
A table covered with silverware and plates appeared in front of Tiaramisu, which blocked the blood pellets from Plasma. Then the various objects levitated upward before firing themselves at Plasma, destroying him and making Carnel wince at the damage, both from the battle itself and from Madolche Waltz.
Carnel: 4300 LP -> 3700 LP -> 3400 LP
Carnel soon recovered, and a small smile appeared on his face. Carnel looked at his hand, eyeing the Royal Decree he had drawn after Rumi's end turn mistake. Even after the recent events, Carnel did not regret not setting the card earlier. It was only fair. "Looks like you got me," Carnel said. "At the End Phase, if Horus managed to destroy a monster, it Levels Up to its strongest form. Appear, Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8!"
Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 Level 8 ATK 3000 DEF 2500
"Draw!" Rumi called out. "This will finish it, I think... Tiaramisu's effect! I detach an Overlay unit and return my monsters back to my hand, and return your monster back to your deck as well. Battle phase! Go, Queen of Sweets! Final attack! Empty his Life Points now!" Rumi declared, watching Tiaramisu land the finishing blow on Carnel.
@KOgaming With your advice, I'm going to scrap most of those cards, I do have a single more simple card to put to the table for the future, with your review of course.
Doom Wing Dragon Level 8 Fire Effect Dragon-Type
Monsters Tributed for this card's Normal Summon must be Dragon-Type. When this card is Tribute Summoned, destroy all other cards on the field. This card cannot attack the turn it is Normal Summoned.
3000/2500
A nuke effect like that is too powerful, especially given how little summoning conditions are needed for it. A Totem Dragon could easily provide it with what it needs. Truth be told, I'm not sure what can be done to improve it in terms of balance.
