Who came up with the idea to make our statuses quotes from philosophers, anyway?

We could be doing something productive with our lives... instead, we're here.

A random quote from some philosopher that we'll forget in a few moments.

Carnel grimaced as his Scapegoat and Fires of Doomsday cards were destroyed. He always hated Twin Twisters' ridiculous effect to destroy a backrow with such a negligible cost, and this scenario was no different. He had to admit, though, that using the cost to create a positive effect was quite clever of Manjoume. He wasn't going to be outdone just yet, however. It may have been a powerful move, but it had only been one move, and Carnel still had a chance to recover. He just needed to survive Manjoume's turn and obtain a good draw.

Man, Twin Twisters is the most broken ridiculous card ever made.

"My turn," Carnel said, drawing his next card. Against a large number of face-downs like that, he knew he shouldn't be careless. He would have to be a little cautious this time. "I play the Spell card: Grinding Levels!" Carnel declared, the card appearing on the field, depicting a Silent Swordsman LV5 fighting a Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6. "This allows me to send one 'LV' monster from my hand to my deck in order to draw 2 cards." Returning a Horus LV4 and drawing two cards, Carnel examined his new cards, then continued, "I now play 4 face-downs of my own, then end my turn." Three face-down spell/trap cards, and one face-down monster. Carnel's defenses were set. Now to unveil Manjoume's strategy.
I still remember most of my old posts, and I gotta say, I think they've all been complete crap. My idea for Niciel was never fully cemented, so her personality has been a bit over the place, and the story progression for my characters was lackluster. On top of that, my posts mainly consist of dialogue and empty space just to make them seem larger. Compared to me, you guys seem like pro authors.
I wonder when this will be continued.
As Carnel walked through the school, he came across a crowd that had gathered around an unusual-looking environment. Upon closer inspection, Carnel noticed the Solid Vision in play, as well as the Duelists in the center of the commotion, and realized that it was a Duel in progress. After making his way through the crowd to reach the front, Carnel found himself just in time to see an Ojama King destroy a student. Spotting the one who used Ojama King, Carnel's eyes widened in surprise, followed by a confident grin. Manjoume Jun, a once-pro Duelist who had retired, and he was here presumably for the event. Carnel couldn't believe his luck to have encountered someone like him already. Now all he needed was a way to get his attention.

As it turned out however, Lady Luck decided to smile once more upon him as Manjoume picked him out from among the crowd, offering the chance to obtain a Link Monster. Carnel's grin only widened as he raised his Duel Disk, activating it. "I accept," Carnel agreed without hesitation, getting into position.

Leander Xenovia

@1Charak2@Joshua Tamashii

Leander and Amelia made their way back to the card shop as they traveled through the same path they took to get to their room, or at the very least, tried to. A few mistakes were made with the elevator regarding them going on the wrong floor, then somehow managing to push all the buttons by accident, and finally giving up and using the stairs. It took a while, but they eventually managed to reach the card shop. "Man, that was an adventure!" Leander laughed it off. "I don't think I ever managed to do that before." Leander then heaved a sigh of accomplishment and began scanning the room. "Where to go, where to go...." Leander contemplated out loud, before his eyes settled on a certain Dark Dorm student. "Ooo, I recognize him!" Leander said, strolling over to Vincent. "Hey there, how's it been?" Leander greeted him as he waved. "You got a sweet new uniform since the last time I saw you."

Michelle followed Ben as the two made their way through the classrooms. As she began to get lost in thought again, looking through the windows of the various classrooms they were passing, Ben had decided to make some small talk. Michelle blinked in surprise in response to Ben's sudden question. "Mmm... well, Dueling is my hobby, if I had to pick something," Michelle answered, looking to the side instead of directly at Ben. "Other than that, um.... not much, really. Maybe... reading Duel Monster articles?" Michelle added as she placed a hand behind her head, a little embarrassed to admit that.

Looking back at Ben, Michelle decided to change the subject and ask, "Where are we going, anyway? You said you knew where to go, right?"
I got nothing, so I'll just roll with whatever it is you got planned.
I am well aware that I still need to make a post, so I will get on that when I can.

Yes.

Granted, Vestec is basically no better, but still.
