While Megumi examined a flower, she began to notice extra voices apart from Phoebe's and Deon's. Looking up, Megumi saw that other people had begun to gather around the commotion. Megumi decided that this was the ideal opportunity to take to make Deon finally go away. To use the crowd against him and get him to leave Phoebe alone.

Just as Megumi was about to point at Deon and call him out for being a molester, Phoebe began to speak first. At first Megumi thought that Phoebe was worried that Megumi would murder Deon. Megumi wanted to tell her that there was no need to worry about that. Megumi believed she could certainly control her strength to the extent that Deon wouldn't die. Maybe a little battered, but otherwise nothing life-threatening.

As the conversation dragged on, however, disregarding the sexual bits of the conversation, Phoebe's true beliefs were clear to her. Deon, stronger than Megumi? Impossible. No one around her age would be stronger than her. Irritated that Phoebe would think so low of her, Megumi placed a hand on her shoulder. "Phoebe, I'd be fine. Three of that molester wouldn't be enough to beat me," Megumi reassured Phoebe, pointing at Deon.

As Megumi felt her fist connect, the first thing Megumi noticed was how hard his face was. That did not feel like punching flesh and bone, and that certainly did not sound like flesh and bone; rather, it was more like flesh and metal. Was that what it was like to be facing a superdurable superhuman? In any case, it seemed like Megumi's instinct to add more force was right. Now that she knew how tough this punk could be, Megumi didn't have to worry about holding back so much. She wouldn't allow her very first friend here to be harassed. Megumi stepped in front of Phoebe as if to protect her from Deon, but Phoebe seemed to have other plans.

”Thank you, Megumi, I can handle it from here”

Megumi turned back to see Phoebe already confronting Deon herself, moving ahead of her to do so. Megumi lowered her fists, but not to the point where she wouldn't be ready to launch another attack. She watched on as the scene unfolded, not really sure how to react to this. Was it normal to lie against someone like that? Megumi pondered this for a moment as Deon stared back at her, then blushed in surprise when Phoebe suddenly kissed him. As much as she wanted to make sense of what she was witnessing, every fiber of her being was telling her that that was most assuredly not a normal interaction. Fortunately, the event lasted only a heartbeat, but Megumi was still dealing with the shock that came. She was still stunned in silence when Phoebe came back over, looking back between Deon and Phoebe.

When Deon addressed Megumi, she snapped out of it and looked up at Deon as he invaded her personal space. She glared back at Deon, not afraid of him or the attitude he was putting up to face her. He may be taller and perhaps have a better build than her, but she was still confident in her own strength. "Step back," Megumi said in as threatening a manner as she could as she slid one foot back, as well as reeling her fist back in a threatening gesture. If he was not gonna back off, Megumi would make him.

Again, however, Phoebe proved that she was not a delicate little flower to be trampled upon, but instead bared her thorns with a incredible display of her powers. Megumi stepped back as the vines formed a barrier between her and Deon. Megumi moved a little closer and poked one of the flowers on the vines with a finger, wondering how so much plant matter could just grow like this, even with the ability to control plants.

Megumi smiled a bit as Phoebe introduced herself. The path to making friends was already on a good start. Now it was time to keep up the momentum. "Me too," Megumi said in response to Phoebe. As a small silence began, Megumi reached into her bag to grab another snack. Life was always better with a snack in hand. At least, that was how Megumi believed it to be. Right when Megumi pulled out a box of pocky, Phoebe was already beginning to demonstrate her power. Megumi was surprised to see Phoebe create a lily in her hands. She hardly knew of anyone who could do such things, and certainly no one she actually knew personally. Megumi leaned over to look at it more closely, impressed. "That's cool," Megumi said, then raised her arms as if to flex her biceps. "I'm just really strong and really tough."

Before she could say anything more, however, a man came over to chat with Phoebe. Admittedly, though, "chat" was an understatement; "flirt" would be more accurate. Megumi didn't know why, but there was something about this man.... something she did not like. Maybe it was the way he carried himself, maybe it was the way he ignored everyone else around him, but whatever it was, it made Megumi want to punch him into the ground. She clenched her hand into a fist, taking a moment to determine how much force she wanted to put into it. She had no idea who this person was, after all; it'd be a shame to injure him to the point that he could no longer stand up. At first, she only wanted to use enough force to take down a normal person, as if he were one of the random muggers she had encountered before. However, she decided that maybe he would be able to take that kind of force, so she decided to use a bit more, in case he had some sort of ability that made him more durable. It might send him flying, but it wouldn't give him any broken bones, at least. Probably.

Megumi moved over to the side so she wouldn't get Phoebe in the resulting blow, then patted Deon on the shoulder. When he turned around, he would see Megumi's arm rushing toward his face, delivering her justice.

Norvandell's not one to initiate conversations, but that doesn't mean he won't have them with others. On the contrary, he can be quite talkative; he just hates trying to start them himself. Conner sees people with superpowers as incredible beings with tons of potential, which is why he always brings himself down, as he realizes that he too possesses a power of his own and must work hard to live up to peoples' expectations of a superpowered individual. However, he doesn't intend to take up any kind of spotlight, and has made his peace with supporting people from the sidelines and shadows.

Brief Biography:
Norvandell grew up fascinated by people with superpowers. Having been fully aware of his ability at birth, he too wished to be like one of them. To be able to save the dozens of people who needed help when they needed it. As much as he wished for it, however, he knew that it wouldn't be possible. He did not possess that kind of power. All he knew he could do was stand aside and offer what little support he could.

However, he knew it would not stay that way forever. So, he took notes. Notes of every significant person that existed, superpowered or not. Iron Man, Superman, Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman, etc, etc. He ran mental simulators of what he could do to support such people. He kept his mind alert.

He also made sure to keep his grades up in school, and managed to skip a grade as well through his hard work. When the Academy was opened,

Amplify: Norvandell's power is simple: he amplifies the abilities of others. It doesn't matter whether the one being amplified is human, demihuman, alien, or even a being from another dimension. All he needs is to be within a short distance and have the intention to amp their powers. With this ability, Norvandell is able to sense what kind of powers people have, not to mention to be able to detect whether or not they have powers at all. Norvandell can even amplify peoples' control over their power, as well as amplify only certain parts of their powers, but he cannot make peoples' powers do things that they aren't originally able to do (eg. have Mystique disguise other people into different people).

Megumi looked up at the building just beyond the school gate, in awe of what the place was to accomplish. A school for Superhumans, both Heroes and Villains. Her eyes lit up with anticipation, and she had her arms raised to her chest in excitement. The one year of peace between Heroes and Villains ever since the treaty was signed had led to this. She couldn't even begin to imagine what the future would hold. Ok, maybe a little.

Looking around, Megumi could see that her fellow schoolmates were not as enthused as she was. Some looked anxious, some looked confused, some looked..... like other things. That was fine, though. It was the first day of this new academy, and it was a fresh start for just about everyone here. Everyone was special, and no one was special. It was all perfectly fine. She began following the others through the school gate, ready to begin the day.

As Megumi walked, she heard a small growl. Immediately locating the source to be her stomach, Megumi determined that her usual hearty breakfast was not enough today. Fortunately, she had prepared snacks for just such a scenario. Rummaging through her bag, Megumi pulled out a small bun filled with ham and cheese and popped it into her mouth, savoring the taste as she ate it. Hunger abated for now, Megumi began to find someone for her first goal: make a new friend at the academy. Instantly locking onto the redhead who had been one of the first to enter the gates, Megumi walked over to her, looking Phoebe in the eyes as she waved and said, "Hello. My name is Megumi. Nice to meet you." She would still have the same expressionless face and quiet emotionless voice as always, but perhaps things would be different this time around.
