Bio

Role Play Preferences:[/b] Pretty much everything except playing other characters and most slice of life plots. Elastic on most shit.

Fandoms: Silent hill, Homestuck, Bioshock(1-2) and pretty much all of HP lovecraft's stuff.

Personality: Ambiguously ?????????????????.

Favorite Homestuck characters: In order: Eridan, Karkat, gamzee, John.

Hate kanaya and Jade.

My Homestuck class: Bard of Void

Likes: Scented Candles, Writing, RP'ing-in almost any form really. Even if I haven't tried it before- Pixel Art, Making things period, Dressing up in my mad mass. Talking to folks. <3 that understand what I say all the time without me having to tame my tongue.

Dislike: Political talk-light prods for opinions are fine though if private- Being tied down. Talking about myself too much. Playing party therapist, Edgy shit.

Pretty approachable, most of the time I'm all fine with, motherfucking. dancing down a door way to someone else grounds to chill. I tend to either be chilling or drilling the oil out of the works so random absence or silences are a normal.

It's mostly finished, kindred. I'll be adding the gear/ traits list tomorrow at some point. If you have any question just ask and I'll help you out as best as I can. Only some minor things need adding now to finish it off but it's basically done. If you want to post a character now just focus on the non-mechanical stuff first such as appearance and personality. We can add all the shopping bits as a second sheet.

DRIFTING FUTURE

It's been 150 years since the massacre of the Cloud, a maega-ship hybrid with a city big enough to be a small country. A city that both "never slept and never stopped moving" as they said in the ad campaigns. What caused the massacre is unknown but it was immense, a isolated apocalypse that left its infrastructure breaking down bit by bit. Lights bulb flicker, doors sealed with no clear reason and small segments of the ship slowly but surely fell into darkness, if not out right into a total failure to support life. Still, somehow, life has survived and even thrived within this husk of a once vibrant metropolis and small sections of it had been painstakingly bought back to function in echoes of what they were once before.

All the top brass were slaughtered in whatever event happened all that while ago and the lower ones, the guys who still had some clearance and knowledge on the ships workings lived like kings forming their own mafia, revolutions or movements and utilized their little pearls of power to play petty games. Naturally, they too, were killed in their inner wars or at the hands of descendants and survivors. The ships AI had stopped responding years ago and the few crew who did try to actually take charge as a captains or repair the ship were swallowed by the abyssal hallways.

For the last 150 years a mixture of strange human offshoots and robots have lived as citizen in this crumbling town, desperately trying to keep things running as best they can. Tolerating organized factions who held key political power to the ships long term necessities via force, know how or skills just to keep things going. The citizen themselves had known no other life and anything beyond low level leisure computers of engineering terminals were virtually totally locked out. The mystery of the past sitting in the shadows, whispering fears into their minds over the still palpable nests of brutality that are unlocked in the scavenging expeditions or reclaiming old buildings.

But now there's hope. A keycard has appeared. A UNRS rescue ship docked with a company provided captains deck access card. The fate of this crew and their ship is unknown, possibly claimed by whatever lingers in the Clouds dark corridors or just destroyed by the ruined and hazardous derelict parts. If someone can get that card...make the journey through the abyss to the fortified captains deck. Well.

They will take control of our Drifting Future.

MECHANICS AND OOC

At the moment the items are a bit scarce but my plan is to slowly open up the items more and more as the group meets more stores and people. This is just your starting options. I'll might add a few more bits later.

LIST OF ITEMS AND TRAITS

OOC RULES

1: You will be expected to post every 3 days.

2: You will be expected to post a min of 2 paragraphs. If you go under this in a rare moon don't worry, I won't go mad dog on you, kindred.

3: The relationship requirement is not optional. Talk to us, we don't bite, fam.

4: You will always be allowed a say when it comes to my GM decisions in combat but when I say it's settled be prepared to accept that. It can be frustrating, I know. But I promise I'll hear you out.

5: Death is a thing. Be ready for that.

6: You are only allowed one character although I will accept you using NPCs in your post when it comes to a character being in your house or mansion or faction base or whatever. NPC may be acquired later as a resource like other goodies.

7: Do NOT discuss your glimpses in ooc nor should you discuss your race commitments. Although I will allow elusions and vague references to them. Just don't exchange them in any real detail.

8: If you are struggling with something, or feel unsure about continuing the game as your character. Talk to me. I'm sure that even if I can't convince you to continue playing we can set up a nice, proper thematic death or departure for your character. It adds to the plot and lets your bow out without just ghosting.
@Dark Cloud

The soul is willing, brother but the body, the body is suffering with high cholesterol build up.

Quality quantum computing, my,motherfucking, ominous weather anomaly. I'll slap that in later after I stop dying from chicken overdose.

RACES

RULES AND SET UP

1: This RP will have a survival aspect with each type of race having their own unique stats but the rules will be generally loose and follow normal RP logic with the mechanics being minimal.

2: You will be able to die in this RP due to your decisions or the decisions of others although I will put something in place to stop someone just going "I shoot you in the head. Nice game"

3: characters will be expected to have a specific motivation and goal right off the bat relating to the main plot, just to help everyone have direction at the start when the RP is up.

4: I will also be expecting your character to have a relationship with another players. If you do this for multiple players or everyone in, then I consider you more bees knee than a spider trying to blend into the hive with a costume but I won't force it.

5: post every 2 days with a paragraph min of 2. I know that on forums it can be pretty intimidating to post that quickly but I don't have a high endurance for long, very slow mellow RPs. If that does bother you, my advice is that any post is better than no post. No one logs onto RPguild expecting you to produce top class everytime and everyone knows what I mean when you think you post something way under value and then everyone ends up loving it anyway.

6: This setting will have edgy and dark stuff. Especially in contents of gore, torture, drugs and so on. So be prepared for that.

7: Generally there are loads of eluded to threats and hazards in this world that will remain hidden until certain traits of progressions in the story reveal them.

This is just a taste of things to come. If this gets enough interest I will add more races, clearer traits and abilities they have and some factions. Oh, and if my,motherfucking, friends and foes are out there reading this . They know I tend to have a "DM only" rule to y rp but I'll be making a character this time.
@Cyclone

Don't spare too much hair about it, kindred. It's ,motherfucking, more smooth than a mannequin waxing session. No coal or canes about it here. I got a bit of a vibe that it was the flow of the match anyway. Maybe later I'll give another panheon dude a guy if I get any sparks that, motherfucking, jump the shark from the deep, damp dark from where my head starts.

Here you go, kindred. I haven't,motherfucking, flipped my fingers onto this old note pad for a while so I might be a bit more rusty than a 50 year old virgins junk. The idea was to sort of make a machine that has a direct threat potential but was relatively straight forward. I don't normally like to,motherfucking, commit to RP's for long time so I mind of made him suit a role as a sort of sub-antagonist that can sort of explore the world a bit and maybe give a more direct link for you insert prior-pantheon plot or lore through.
@Dark Cloud

I don't play in my own games, comrade. I can barely multitask breathing and writing, yet alone multiple characters, brother.

@Dog

Yeah, it's off. Sorry, kindred.
@Dark Cloud

Well. The problem with 3 players, brother. Is that a big part of the set up is for internal conflict of investment and ideas. With 3 there is no equalizing ace in the hole. Once one person convinces the other all tension is sort of lost, if you get me.

It's sort of like a texa's hold 'em but the winning move is just to join forces against the third so you can fight later. I mean that in both a gamey sense, a story sense and a mechanical sense.

If there were a fairly decent amount of odd number players...like five, at least then it would be equalled out but once one player falls out of the "loop" they're kind of basically in a rail road.
@Dog

I think the RP is stillborn, kindred.
