Bunch of magical girls here. Either we have an army or a magical free-for-all. Going to be interesting. "Greetings, everyone. I'm Shining Thunderbird, but you can call me Midori. This is my fairy, Megumi. I'm glad to meet you all." Megumi bowed, but Midori kept herself ramrod straight, looking the potential competition up and down just in case things went to hell. "We can do much better as friends rather than enemies. Personally, I think we should exchange phone numbers at the very least so we can call each other for backup."

"I think you can all tell what Midori's specialty is." Megumi fluttered up to her charge's shoulder. "What sorts of powers do you girls have?"
@Rhiannon I was thinking summoning demons or similar. If that sounds a little much, she can start at imps and work her way up.
Midori headed out, Megumi hot on her heels. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending upon how one chose to look at it, the library and park were completely Negari-free. No sign of any more mundane trouble that the police couldn't handle, either. "Megumi, anything on your radar?"

"Nada. Seems like we had better just pack it up and head home."

Just then, there was a massive flash of purple light a ways off. "Magic, and a lot of it."

Midori wondered if she kept her powers if she strangled the life out of her fairy. "I can see that, baka. Mind telling me where?"

"Three hundred, three fifty meters off to the northwest. Doesn't come across like any Negari I've ever seen, so by process of elimination, I'd say it's another magical girl."

"Well, then. I think it's time I introduced myself. Shining Thunderbird!"

A massive lightning bolt ripped out of the clear evening sky, striking Midori. When it faded, the girl was in costume and ready to rock. She dashed off towards the location of the magical disturbance, trying to figure out plans to deal with either friend or foe.

@Feyblue
@Rhiannon I'd like to join, but before I do, I need to know your position on a witch with summoning magic as her mainstay.
Would anyone be interested in bumping into Midori and Megumi?
Midori groaned as she made her way back to her parent's house. It had been a long day- being late for school, nearly flunking that math test and, oh yeah, a freaking magical fairy had popped up behind her on the way home from class. Her head was still spinning from that last one. She opened the door and plopped down in a chair. "Okay, Megumi. I've kept tabs on magical girl news and the like for the past couple of months, but I've never had a chance to speak to a fairy before. What exactly do you do for me?"

"Well, I give you advice, mostly. How to fight Negari, how to best you use your powers, things like that."

Midori looked the tiny girl over. "And what's the most important advice you can give me?"

"Fighting Negari and using your powers- well there's only one thing you need to know. Zap it until it stops moving, then zap it again to make sure."

"So, I've got the most belligerent fairy ever for a partner." Midori despondently buried her head in her hands. "Oh, joy."

"Think you can handle going on a patrol?"

"Sure, why not?" The pair headed out, to see what sort of Negari mischief they could stop.
Changes made. Kept the personality and the like the same for simplicity's sake, just changed the power theming and such.
Okay, I'll make up a lightning girl to remove the redundancy, but she'll need to be up tomorrow.
Sigh... that's what I get for doing other things while working on a CS.
Name: Midori Matsuyama

Magical Girl Name: Shining Thunderbird

Age: 16

Gender: Female

tse1.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.9WfkHO5nb3…

Magical girl appearance: Long yellow skirt, white top with a crossed lightning bolts emblem.

Personality: Midori is a geek through and through. She's built several computers, and quite good ones, too. She tends to be reserved and quiet, always watching everything and saying nothing. When she does speak, it's either incredibly insightful or massively sarcastic. Despite this, she has a decent reputation in the magical girl community as a good person to have backing you up in a fight.

Skills: Midori has a great head for science, and if she could ever get her hands on some Negari samples, she could probably devise some non-magical countermeasures. She also is a computer genius, and runs her own magical girl news site, SparkleStar. She's been learning some judo, but is still a novice in the art by anyone's measure.

Abilities: Lightning Ride- Midori conjures a lightning bolt and travels on it to her destination. Better for long-distance travel than short-range maneuvering during combat.

Thundershot- A ball of lightning fired at a target. Weak, low energy cost

Thunder Cannon- A short range beam of lightning

Electropillar- A vertical column of electricity, useful against both ground and air targets

Electric Explosion- A lightning shockwave attack that radiates from Midori's body

Wrath of the Storm- Conjures a massive bolt of lightning from the heavens. Midori's finisher.

Weapon- A three foot metal staff. Doubles as a lightning rod.

Brief History: Midori's childhood could best be described as uneventful. She lived an middle-class family as an only child, excelling in school but having few friends. Mostly, she just tried to stay out of everyone's way, wishing she could be special. When Takashi appeared in front of her, she was over the moon. That dream she had to be in the spotlight? She got it, but she's slowly learning to be careful what she wishes for.

She is a second-year at East Umitori, class 2-A

Fairy Name: Megumi

Fairy Appearance: Slender, with brown hair and blue eyes. Her wings are covered with yellow feathers.

Fairy Personality: Megumi is brave, proud... and the very definition of baka. She believes that the best, if not only, way to solve a problem is with extreme violence. She also has a tendency to say things that are accidentally disturbing, but she still genuinely cares for Midori, she just refuses to admit it.
