Name: Kurt
Age: 18
Personality: Despite how the others may act, Kurt seems to be a humble and kind individual, caring for those near him. Definitely not someone you would see as a villain. But that, of course, is just a mask he wears everyday no matter who he is talking to. He is actually sly and ruthless towards those against him and his friends, often able to become unemotional and deadly when blood is spilled.
Background: As a kid, Kurt always had to keep his guard up; being an orphan and living on the streets was tough. He was often mugged for the little money he had, beaten up by policemen or men that thought he would hurt any bystanders. But, alas, he had seemed like a poor, innocent kid at the age of 9.
That was, until the murders of that town popped up. Three individuals killed in one night, all of them having claw marks down their backs and what seemed to be teeth marks on their necks and other various parts of the body. Some claimed to see a shark beast walk around the streets at night, growling and hungrily prowling. Most claimed they had flipper-like blood stains outside their yard, leading to the nearby river and ending there.
Detectives and heroes both were confused. Did one of the other heroes with a Quirk do it? No, they weren't like this; they were not monsters, nor would they try to hurt innocent people when they least expected it. No, it must have been a monster, it was the only way. One man offered up a stupid point: “What if it's that kid from the street?” Everyone thought he was stupid, and he was fired from the job. The next day, that man was the fourth victim of the beast. Another man ventured the idea, another man died. They got suspicious, but before they could catch Kurt to question him, he ran away.
For the longest time, he lived under water, hidden from the sight of others’ eyes and the looks they would give him. It took him a while to control his quirk, but once he did, he turned back to normal and walked among the humans.
Motive for Villainy: Kurt thinks most heroes are unjust and deserve punishment. He really wished to be normal, but knew he would be constantly reminded that he isn't. He wants to beat the heroes for thinking they're so great and powerful, while Kurt knows that people who have been beaten down and left for dead are the toughest.
Quirk:
Transformer ClassWere-Shark: Named after the terrible beast that went on a killing spree. He calls his Quirk this because, like a lycanthrope or shapeshifter, he can make some parts of his body have the shape of a shark’s, such as gills, a back fin, and flippers at his feet. Like a shark, if their is blood spilled, he will go find of berserk, following the scent of the blood. He is usually stronger than the average person, but using this Quirk too much or for too long tires him out greatly; he will not want to do anything but lie down after the fight.
Weakness: Even if he isn't in his Were-Shark body, he still needs to drink water constantly (at least every hour). He can't have any other drinks or liquid-like substances (besides blood), for they will make him either sick or dehydrated. He doesn't have very good eyesight, either; he has to wear glasses when reading something. Also, not really a physical weakness, but he hates the nickname, ‘Mermaid,’ since he thinks it insults what he actually is.
Talents:
Swimming - Everyone on his team would be surprised if could swim. He is very skilled at it, but prefers not to when others are around; never know when someone might scrape a toe.
Collecting - From seashells to bones, the guy loves collecting things. He mostly likes to do this when there is nothing else to do, resulting in him taking long trips to the thrift store or just on the streets.
Reading - Kurt loves to read interesting books, mainly ones that include the ocean or animals. It gives him the chance to learn more about the ocean, and where enemies would least expect him. He sometime writes down what happens and what he learns daily, so that he never forgets when he is older.
Inventory:
A
leather-bound journal where he keeps his deepest and darkest secrets. Anyone looking for a death wish can go snooping in there.
A
reusable water bottle that he uses to keep himself hydrated. Usually he only puts water in there. Usually.
A
grey scarf that has the name, “Margaret,” stitched in a pretty violet color. No one knows why it says that, but he doesn't like people asking.
